Ralph Peters on the Afghan Elections..a must read.

With all of the coverage of Katrina and the Roberts nomination, this huge story went right by the mainstream media. Ralph Peters has the skinny,as usual. The courage shown by the Afghan people is amazing, as they braved threats of violence to cast their votes. The Taliban still exist in Afghanistan, along with the old warlord culture, but now that the women are voting things have changed! I've always said that one of the best ways to fight the Jihadists is to liberate Islamic day I'll do a comentary on the pychosexual fear of women's sexuality that I feel colors much of Islam and is partly responsible for its stagnation as a culture.

Excellent point about liberating women. An definite weak spot for the jihadists. I posted the Peters story on another forum. Some folks didn't seem to like it.

It's not only about liberating women, it's about the hypocrisy of their religion vs. sexuality in general. Many actually hate women,-particularly our Western freedom-loving ones,- but because open sexuality and homosexuality is "forbidden", they *use* women for procreation to ensure that Islam will swamp the world. Therefore they cannot afford to give women their rights, or they will refuse to surrender to their menfolk who can do whatever they like with whomever they like, whenever they like,- as long as it is behind closed doors! These Islamicist-guys are nothing but lecherous tribesmen from the dark ages!If only their womenfolk would band together under the protection of liberally educated fathers with power to help them attain their rights.

Interesting comments.

I think that it stems partly from Mohammed's life experience and partly from the tribal Arab culture..I'll expand on this in a seperate post, as I said.

Stay tuned...thanks for your comment.
