The Stones Roll On!!

Four decades old, and still rockin'..

The Rolling Stones are in the second leg of their US tour, and according to a couple of the Freedom Fighter's correspondants are showing an energy and verve that belie their years and put many younger bands to shame.

It's been a tough year for the Stones..they had to delay their European summer tour after Keith Richards suffered a concussion after falling from a tree while on vacation in Fiji, Mick Jagger has had recurrent bouts with laryngitis, Ron Wood ended up in rehab, and Charlie Watts has been diagnosed with throat cancer.

But they continue to keep on going, animated somehow by the music inside them. I remember Mick saying once in an interview that his ambition was to go out like Howlin' Wolf and Muddy Waters, who continued play music right up until the end.

This could be the last time, maybe the last time, I don't know...but they're making the most of it. More power to `em.
