Freedom of speech in Britain - and `tolerance' by the Religion of Peace

Charles at lgf has the story of a couple of students at Cambridge’s Clare College who are hiding in fear of their lives after publishing a satirical article on Islam that included one of the dreaded MoToons:

What's more, not only is the University considering disciplinary action but the students have been questioned by the police and may even be prosecuted.

One has to wonder at what is going through these people's politically correct and closed minds...

That pamphlet was clearly provocative and meant to be offensive. I don't think it falls under the category of constructive criticism.

That being said, suing and threatening the students is completely ridiculous. They weren't inciting violence, and therefore they should be free to spew forth this kind of garbage all they please.

Hi Nazar,
I suggest you click on the link and examine th eentire piece..it also contained satirical bits on christianity.

Of course this isn't `constructive criticism'..merely satire.

The rather healthy dollop of truth it contains re: Islam is borne out bythe fact that the students are facing death threats from jihadis over it.
