Watcher's Council Results, 6/29/07

The Council has spoken! A complete list of results can be found at the site of our fearless leader, the infamous Watcher of Weasels

Both winners this week focused on the foibles of the dinosaur media, a never ending source of material it seems.

The winner this week was Bookworm Room: A Stunningly Dishonest Piece of Advocacy Writing About the Supreme Court Ms. Bookworm's outstanding evisceration of one of the dinosaur media's jackals' agenda driven attack on three decisions of the Roberts Supreme Court that involve outright dishonesty and a total disregard for journalistic standards..no new tale to tell, eh? Congrats to Ms. Bookworm for an outstanding piece of writing and a well-deserved win.

In second place, for the second week in a row was was Cheat Seeking Missiles: The Most Ridiculous Story of The Year (2) Laer's extremely well written dissection of a piece of drivel masquerading as serious analysis of the Iraq War. Congrats Laer!

For non-Council, the winner was The Rupture: Seraphic Secrets One of my choices (Dr. Sanity's was my other pick). Robert J. Avrech corrects some of the recurrent myths on Gaza and provided some needed clarity in a fine bit of writing.

In second place for non-Council was Muslim Speaks at My Church, Calls Me “Naive.” Also “Tough.”- Anwyn's Notes in the Margin. Anwyn pens an extremely revealing first hand account of experiencing Islamist taqiyya (lying to non-believers to advance Islam) at an event involving a Muslim speaker at her church. As Joshua's Army members know, most Muslims can justify being two-faced and lying to non-Muslims in any circumstances with taqiyya.

Of course, the bridge building always only works one way. Non-Muslims would rarely be allowed to enter a mosque(unless they're propective reverts), let alone speak at one about their faith.

Hearty Kudos to all the winners!
