Britain's PM Gordon Brown ` Sshhh! Don't mention the Muslims!'

Not that many of us were under any illusions, but new British PM Gordon Brown has given us a pretty good indication as to where the new UK government is headed.

His response to the recent jihadi terrorist bombing attacks in Britain? He ordered his ministers to avoid upsetting anyone and to make sure not to make any reference to Islam when talking about terrorists!

The Prime Minister has also instructed his team – including new Home Secretary Jacqui Smith – that any mention of a “war on terror” is to be dropped.

For her part, the new Home secretary said: “Let us be clear – terrorists are criminals, whose victims come from all walks of life, communities and religions. Terrorists attack the values shared by all law-abiding citizens. As a Government, as communities, as individuals, we need to ensure that the message of the terrorists is rejected.”

Just a bunch of hooligans really...a mere law enforcement problem. And I'm glad Ms. Smith saw fit to remind everyone to be wary of all the nuns, vicars and rabbis engaged in car bombings and other terrorist activities in Britain. They're a nasty and dangerous group and need to be watched much more closely...as opposed to members of the Religion of Peace.

The official line on this nonsense is that the new government is adopting a fresh aproach to improve community relations and avoid offending Muslims, adopting a more “consensual” tone than existed under Tony Blair.

The reality is that they're scared senseless at what Labour has done to its own country, at a loss for how to fix it...and need Muslim votes to have any hope of keeping Labour in power.

For some common sense and reality, read what the one and only Melanie Phillips has to say on the subject.
