How are things?
I also gave an exampl...Hi Louie,

How are things?

I also gave an example where Israel behaved in exactly the matter I suggested on the so-called 'settlement freeze'.

Just like India, Israel suffered no consequences for it.

The US has equal capacity to 'punish' both Israel and India for not going along with Obama's pro-Muslim bias. They haven't because politically and economically it would be counterproductive.

As for the UN, if Israel had gone to Ban K. Moon and he refused, they could have barred all UN officials from Gaza and perhaps even Judea and Samaria quite easily, thus putting a number of high priced UN functionaries out of work and generating a lot of pressure on Moon by the Arabs to get the aid flowing to the Palestinians again. Plus, in the last analysis, there was absolutely nothing stopping the eIsraelis from simply barring Goldstone and his 'investigators' from Gaza and Moon knows it.

He would have backed down, just as he did with Syria,North Korea, Iran, the Sudan...the list goes on.

Just recently, this clown 'ordered' Hezbollah to disarm in accordance with UNSC Resolution 1701. I'm sure Nasrallah and his pals had a huge chuckle at that one.

Finally, on journos.Respectfully, you missed the point.

Few of them are ideologues, although a number of them lean a certain way.

You'll recall what I said about how things are scripted and people write to the script.

If Israel implemented the changes I suggest here, you would see a marked change in the coverage.

Like I said, Arafat and Saddam got away with it for years.

The Israelis have to get over their fixation about being liked and operate out of their national interest a lot more.

I think that's true of th eUS as well, though unlikely with Prez Zero at the helm.

Regards,
RobFreedom Fighterhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13649470110087808596noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16816866.post-27975219509135038112009-10-27T17:58:13.635-07:002009-10-27T17:58:13.635-07:00while i agree with the premise of ff essay i just ...while i agree with the premise of ff essay i just can't understand the examples he used to make his case.
for starters, and i'm guessing here, but i don't think hussein has a problem with india's right to exist. not so with the jooish state.
and i don't think the approach of going to the UN would work to prevent the goldstone report either. imo, the UN would publicize the meeting, and hold it out as an example of how the arrogant jooish state bullies others. gee, i wonder if they would have a hard time finding someone to report that, and in what light. that is, if they could possibly find an anti-jooish journalist.
imo, the problem with the west's view of the joooish state, is that all the people who report, all the people who make policy, are eaten up with moral relativism. the cops are crooks with badges. there is nothing the joos can do about that.louielouienoreply@blogger.com
