He told a press conference in Brussels Thursday afternoon that the upcoming Euro-Mediterranean summit will be an opportunity for Arab leaders "to distance themselves from the idea that there is a linkage between Islamic countries and terrorism."

"I know it is not true. We don't want to make that linkage but it would be helpful if the Islamic countries take this opportunity to clearly denounce terrorism," he said.
