US and Israel resume negotiations on $1.2 B aid for Negev resettlement



Well, well..looks like Condi and Bush gave Sharon a carrot to open the Gaza borders after all. One of my Israeli sources tells me that Sharon and some of his cronies own a good bit of the land that the Gaza Jews will be resettled on in the Negev; so the proposed aid is obviously going to make this land quite valuable, and the owners quite wealthy. I guess Arik had his price for endangering Israel's border security....
