Apparently hundreds of Palestinians streamed into Egypt on Wednesday after the al aksa brigades with stolen bulldozers broke through the border wall; two Egyptian troops were killed and 30 were wounded by gunfire in the rampage.Update 14: Palestinians Enter Egypt After Border Smash - Forbes.com
The Egyptian Interior Ministry troops were actually forced to withdraw about a half-mile, and an Egyptian armored car was torched. A witness said three Palestinians were injured - one seriously, when a troop carrier crushed him against a wall.(imagine the outcry if the Israelis had done that!!)
Egyptian police imposed a curfew on the Egyptian side, all shops were closed, and authorities cut electricity, plunging the scene in near total darkness.
Wait a minute...weren't the Egyptians at the front of the line condemning Israel when the Israelis were talking about cutting electricity in Gaza because of the rocket attacks?? And what would the Egyptians say if the Israelis responded forcefully to Palestinians crossing Israels border? Hmmmm....can you spell `double standard'?
