Proof positive education has nothing to do with being `stuck in Iraq': Senator John Kerry!

In the wake of his remarks about the stupidity of troops who `don't get good grades and end up in Iraq' and his absolutely bellicose and unapologetic press converence in Seattle, John Kerry is being forced to cancel a number of scheduled campaign appearences for Democratic candidates. And a number of Democrats running for office have scrambled to distance themselves from him in an effort to stop the fallout.

Kerry was supposed to appear at the Public House on Arch Street to campaign for Pennsylvania Senator hopeful Democrat Bob Casey Wednesday night. He won't be there.

He also cancelled a whole slew of other scheduled appearences in Iowa, Pennsylvania and Minnesota.

Bruce Braley, a Democrat running for Iowa's 1st congressional seat, asked Kerry not to campaign with him tomorrow, the Quad-Cities Times reported. Braley thought Kerry's remarks were inappropriate, the paper said, citing Braley spokesman Jeff Giertz.

In Montana, Jon Tester, the Democratic challenger to incumbent Senator Republican Senator Conrad Burns, also sought to distance himself from Kerry.

"Senator Kerry's remarks were poorly worded and just plain stupid," Tester said in a statement late yesterday....He owes our troops and their families an apology."

In Tennessee, the Chattanooga Times Free Press reports today that Democrat Harold Ford Jr., a candidate for the U.S. Senate, said Kerry "needs to apologize to our troops."

Good luck trying to pick up the ball after Kerry fumbled guys...he has to be on Karl Rove's payroll.

President Bush, of course, immediately went after Kerry, demanding he apologize, as did a number of other Republicans.

If anyone is proof positive that a good education has nothing to do with being `stuck in Iraq', it's Senator John Kerry!
