Iran's nuclear program now enriching nuclear fuel "on an industrial scale."

In honor of its `nuclear day', Iran's President Ahmadinejad proudly announced at a ceremony at the enrichment facility at Natanz that Iran is now enriching nuclear fuel "on an industrial scale."

He also announced that Iran has begun injecting uranium gas into 3,000 centrifuges for enrichment..the first official confirmation that Iran had a large scale program with the advanced p2 type centrifuges....but you knew that a long time ago, at least if you've been reading JoshuaPundit.

Across Iran, school bells rang on Monday to mark the "national day of nuclear energy." The government sent out text messages of congratulations for the occasion to millions of mobile phone users.

In Tehran, some 200 students formed a human chain at Iran's Atomic Energy Organization while chanting "death to America" and "death to Britain."

While a lot of experts are still claim that the Natanz plant is still far short of the centrifuges needed to manufacture a reliable source of fuel for weapons, keep in mind that they are only pontificating based on what Iran has allowed us to see and admitted to having... at this one site.

We have a year and a half, I estimate before Iran successfully tests a nuclear weapon.

I don't see why the UN is sitting on the fence. Do they fear nuclear war?
Are we trying not to stir the hive? If so many are weary about Iran, why aren't there tougher sanctions? My answer is far from intellectual. "The UN is a Joke!" Iran like any other country has a right to grow and improve. But with statements like "Death to America" and threats to push Israel into the sea; I think we (meaning, the world)need to make it clear that irresponsible comments and an ill-evolved world view wont be tolerated by anyone.

The UN is a joke. Since it has allowed Israel to ignore so many Resolutions over the years. And when will Israel allow outside inspection of its nuclear facilities?

  5. yes, anonymous #2 - it's ALWAYS the evil joos, and don't you forget it!

Not that I really should bother, but here's some food for - well, not thought perhaps, but maybe a few synapses here and there.

    1) Iran signed the NPT and is in clear and knowing violation of it. Israel never signed the NPT.

2)Israel has never threatened a neighboring state with annihilation ..Iran has, repeatedly, a clear violation of article 2 of the UN charter.

    3) Iran is not surrounded and outnumbered 100 to 1 by a bunch of genocidal wack jobs - Israel is.

    4) Israel is a long time and important ally of the US and Iran is an adversary - and what's more, generally speaking, Israel has hotter women, more freedom, smarter people and overall, better hygiene.
