The Egyptian government is - quite rightly, in my opinion - seething at what they call blatant U.S. hypocrisy.
Up above, we see a picture of four US congressmen meeting with politicians last Sunday associated with the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood, the parent group of Hamas, including the Brotherhood's Mohammed Saad el-Katatni. This is just a couple of months after Democrat House Majority leader Steny Hoyer met with the same group, and a month after hijab clad House Speaker Nancy Pelosi was cavorting with Basher Assad, the fascist dictator of Syria.
"The United States says that it doesn't establish relations with a banned group, whether in Egypt or outside Egypt," said Mubarak's spokesman Suleiman Awaad. "The U.S. says it is meeting with the Brotherhood as Parliament members, but doesn't make the same distinction and refuses to talk with Hamas, who is heading the Palestinian government and is occupying the prime minister's seat."
Awaad is totally correct. But of course, being a citizen of a totalitarian regime, he doesn't understand the extraordinary latitude given to appeasement minded lawmakers here in America.
Perhaps they can complete their tour of the jihad network by spending some hang time with Hamas and Hezbollah - at the US taxpayer's expense, of course.
