Ahmadinejad once again threatened Israel with destruction, this time in a speech at Teheran commemorating Army Day:
"With God's help, the countdown button for the destruction of the Zionist regime has been pushed by the hands of the children of Lebanon and Palestine...By God's will, we will witness the destruction of this regime in the near future."
Note the use of the term `countdown button', as in a missile launching.
Missiles have always been a red herring when it comes to Iran vs. Israel, IMHO. Watch for a jetliner (ostensibly carrying passengers) crossing the border from Syria "by accident". The Israeli Air Force is very very good, but not good enough to make the decision to shoot down what they will think are 300 civilians before the nuclear air burst over, say, Haifa (or Tel Aviv or Jerusalem if they gain complicity from Jordan).
ReplyDeleteOr a container ship. Or a truck. Or on-site assembly diligently pieced together over many months. No, missiles are (unfortunately) the least of Israel's worries.
Kobayashi Maru:
ReplyDeletecomments like that scare the hel# out of me.
