The Islamist Takeover of British Mosques
Britain and the US (and for that matter, Canada, Australia and most western countries) have a problem in common...the wholesale takeover of mosques and madrassahs by hardline Islamist factions.
The problem is far more acute in Britain - so far - than in the US solely because they have many more Muslims than the US does, are having far less babies, and have been ruled by a Labour/Socialist government for over a decade that has made a fetish out of importing Muslim `New Labour' voters to Britain and has been most accommodating when it comes to turning their heads away from militant Islamists and ignoring what they've been doing.
As this investigation by the Times reveals, the Brits are seeing exactly the same scenario as other Western nations..well funded and organized Islamists are taking over the existing Islamic institutions and using them to radicalize the new generation of Muslims.
While the biggest exporters of radical Islam in the US are the wahabi Saudis, in Britain it's the Deobandis , a Sunni sect that is an offshoot of wahabism who originate in Pakistan and South Asia.
The Deobandis were the movement that gave birth to the Taleban. They now run more than 600 of Britain’s 1,350 mosques, according to a police report the Times quoted. And 17 of Britain's 26 Islamic seminaries are Deobandi, producing about 80 percent of all of Britain's domestically trained Muslim imams.
The imam in line to become the spiritual head of the Deobandis is Riyadh ul Haq, pictured above, who preaches armed jihad against the West, as well as hatred and contempt for non-believers - Jews, Christians and Hindus.
Riyadh ul Haq, 36, was educated and trained in Britain. According to the Times article, '...he heaps scorn on any Muslims who say they are "proud to be British" and argues that friendship with a Jew or a Christian makes “a mockery of Allah’s religion”.'
The Deobandis have significant representation on the Muslim Council of Britain.
When you look at the influence and numbers the Deobandis have and then add in the influence of their wahabi `cousins' the Saudis, it becomes blatantly obvious how British Muslims are becoming more radicalized.
As Melanie Phillips showed us in her book Londonistan, the Brits made a devils' bargain with radical Islam years ago. Only now is the true nature of that bargain and what it entailed starting to become apparent.
What I don't understand is why it is so hard to deport these people. In America, we have the clear and present danger clause, which basically states that anyone who incites violence is subject to punishment by the law. I don't know how things work in the UK, but it's something they may want to consider.
ReplyDeleteHi Nazar, How are you?
ReplyDeleteThere are similar answers to your question for both America and Britain.
I'll start with Britain. For the past decade, Britain has been ruled by the Leftwing Labour Party. It was Tony Blair's policy to increase Muslim immigration to Britain, which he did ten fold, with the idea that many of the new immigrants would vote Labour, and would provide commercial ties for Britain with the Islamic world.
This mainly panned out as Blair thought it would...but let's say there have been some unfortunate side effects.
Today, especially in the English Midlands, the Islamic voters dominate, and unless things got very blatant, Labour was and is unwilling to take measures that would effect its power base (remember, Britain has a parliament and needs a majority of seats in order to govern). They're only know starting to realize the kind of bargain they let themselves in for.
Since the Brits are not having kids and non-Muslim British emigration is at an all-time high, this is a worrisome trend.
Here in the US, you're right..there are legal precendents for deportation or imprisonment if we choose to use them.
But it's about not offending the Saudis and their many well connected `employees' who used to work in the US government and now lobby for the Arabs and for radical wahabi Islam.
Ok?
