Life Among The Rednecks.. Obama's Bitter Lil' Pill

What's a progressive fellah like Jesus II supposed to do with some of these knuckledraggers in flyover country?

I mean, I feel for him, I really do.

Barack Hussein Obama's mask slipped a little bit at a fund raiser located in the ritzy Pacific Heights neighborhood in San Francisco, and unfortunately, it got out.

When one of the invitees took a breath between sucking down Veuve Clicquot and brie to ask The Chosen One why he wasn't doing better with the rednecks in Pennsylvania, Obama replied:

"You go into these small towns in Pennsylvania and, like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing's replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not.

And it's not surprising then they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy toward people who aren't like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations."

Whoopsie. Not the way to talk about those bitter, gun-toting, racist know nothing Jesus freaks if you want to con them into voting for you, is it!

In a nice bit of irony, this gaffe was recorded by one Mayhill Fowler, a blogger on the frothing-at-the mouth Leftist HuffPo site and an Obama supporter, who heard this escape the ruby lips of Jesus II and was bothered in spite of herself by the elitism and disconnect towards the average American it showed. Kudos to her for being honest enough not to bury it,especially since BHO has undoubtedly made similar little slips before.

Lessee now..Obamna is criticizing the Little People for clinging to their religion, their guns and an `antipathy to people that aren't like them' when he and his whiny wife have been clinging to their racist Pastor and church for two decades...even rationalizing it. And correct me if I missed something, but didn't Mr. I Love Free Trade just gleefully help torpedo the badly needed Columbia Free Trade Bill for no good reason except that the Donkeys had the votes and felt like issuing a slap down to the Bush Administration?

Needless to say,Hillary was all over this one like a crazed wolverine in heat:

"...I was taken aback by the demeaning remarks Senator Obama made about people in small town America. Senator Obama’s remarks are elitist and they are out of touch. They are not reflective of the values and beliefs of Americans. Certainly not the Americans that I know - not the Americans I grew up with, not the Americans I lived with in Arkansas or represent in New York.

You know, Americans who believe in the Second Amendment believe it's a matter of Constitutional rights. Americans who believe in God believe it is a matter of personal faith...

The people of faith I know don’t “cling to” religion because they’re bitter.

People embrace faith not because they are materially poor, but because they are spiritually rich. Our faith is the faith of our parents and our grandparents. It is a fundamental expression of who we are and what we believe."

All right, all right...we all know about Hillary's actual positions on gun control, economic freedom, and locking religion out of every aspect of the public arena. Still, a nice bit of bitch slapping by Lady Macbeth, which I only disagree with in one instance - some people do cling to their notion of religion out of bitterness and a feeling of victimization. Perhaps without meaning to, Hillary just described the Obamas and their fellow devotees of Black Liberation Theology perfectly.

Obama,of course, went into full damage control mode just like he always does whenever something slips and he actually reveals what's behind the curtain, saying "I didn't say it as well as I could have."

Nah, really? Yah think?

Next to Jesus II, leftist elitists like John Kerry and Michael Dukakis come across as practically regular guys from the neighborhood.

This is the sort of thing that happens when you start believing your own press releases.

  1. Actually I thought he expressed himself quite well. Just because it wasn't the message he wanted the small town voters of Pennsylvania to hear does nothing to change it. And of course one must be thrilled with his non-apology for what he said. Newt has it right when he says that Obama does not understand the people, not to mention his lack of understanding of the Constitution and the powers of the Congress. I sincerely hope those who took classes from him on Constitutional Law got better instruction from others, but perhaps I missed the part in the Constitution where it says that Congress can dictate to corporations about how they pay their executives. And I'm sure we will all be happier when Sen. Obama's rules about turning in everyone whom we think might be doing something suspicious are in effect. After all, that worked well in medieval Europe and Salem and during the McCarthy era.

Sounds like Obama was comparing the working class people to the old days when people turned to religion when they could not explain things away such as earthquakes and solar eclipses. Obama must think they are really stupid

  3. When you graduate 894th out of a class of 899, eventually it will show up.

And John McCain’s mediocre performance at the Naval Academy is showing up big time this week in his total lack of understanding of the nation’s financial crisis.

He told us he didn’t know much about the economy… now he’s proving it.

So much so that the Wall Street Journal, perhaps America’s leading financial publication, is blasting McCain over what its editorial board sees as inaccurate and, “unpresidential” comments about the crisis in America’s financial system.

If you’re a Republican running for president of the United States and the Wall Street Journal basically says you’re an incompetent buffoon, you’re in serious trouble.

Specifically the paper pointed to comments McCain made yesterday about SEC Chair Christopher Cox.

McCain pointed the finger at Cox and said if he were president, he’d fire him for “betraying the public’s trust.”

The Wall Street Journal called that assault “both false and deeply unfair.”

The Journal also said, “In a crisis voters want steady, calm leadership… not easy, misleading answers that will do nothing to help.”

This country is in a dire financial crisis and there are still blind idiots who will vote for a doddering old fool like McCain and his pin-up VP because it kills them that a black man may be in charge.

If God was black and the devil was white they'd follow Satan into hell rather than follow a black man through the pearly gates.

Obama is the best candidate to run for president in decades. McBush is a joke.

Pull your head out of the Jim Crow 50's and vote Obama!

  4. Hello Dr,
It seems this site has had a lot of Obama-ites coming out of the woodwork lately.

Your basic premise is unfortunately absurd, as anyone who's ever attended Annapolis let alone graduated could tell you. The coursework and discipline required to graduate there makes lib arts majors at places like Harvard and Occidental look like high school...particularly when you're on a campus where 'diversity' and 'affirmative action' don't cut it as excuses.

I'd also point out that McCain was warning about abuses at Freddie and Fannie over three years ago while Obama campaign advisors Jim Johnson and Franklin Raines robbed the taxpayers of milions in illegal bonuses.

And the Chosen One, who claims to have all the answers go tthe most cash from Fannie and Fredie's lobbyists next to Chris Dodd, over $110k to look the other way.

I also find your assumption that anyone who doesn't support an underqualified race baiting Leftist ideologue with questionable associations for president is a racist is, simply put, a lot of horse manure.

If there's any racism in this campaign, it's being promulgated by people like you..with encouragement from Elmer-Gantry-with-a-tan.

Play that mess somewhere else. homes. It doesn't play here.

You might want to consider which party continually disses black folks and takes there votes for granted while doing nothing to help them rise up but promote tokenism and dependency..and make your mind up to start thinking fo ryourself and get off the Donkey plantation.

    All Best,
    ff
