The Democrat's New Plan To Win The White House - Cause A Major Recession

The Democrat's political leadership has a new, cynical plan to win the White House in `08...send the US economy into a tailspin.

The original hook they planned to hang the `08 campaign on was the Iraq War, and they did their very best to legislate a US defeat and retreat. Ending the war and an immediate US pull out was the entire rationale behind Barack Hussein Obama's campaign for the presidency.

Unfortunately for the Democrats, General Petraeus and the US and Iraqi forces had different ideas about the outcome in Iraq and changed the facts on the ground to the point that even the dinosaur media recognized it.

The Democrat's new strategy involves stalling any kind of increase in America's oil supply as prices shoot skyward.

A good example of how this is working was yesterday's decision by the Democrats to kill an eminently sensible bill with bi-partisan support that would have allowed offshore drilling to increase America's oil supplies at sites in U.S. waters between 50 and 200 miles off shore. The first 50 miles off shore would be left alone.

But the bill failed when it was tabled on a 9-6, straight party-line vote in a House appropriations subcommittee.

The bill's sponsor, Representative John Peterson (R-Pa) was baffled and angered at what happened, saying "I'm disappointed. I did not expect a partisan vote today. I felt we had a chance of winning this. A lot of Democrats have been talking favorably about my amendment. They know we have to do something. But today was an absolute show of Pelosi power, it was dealt from the top down."

Of course it was. And I believe it was done intentionally.

With Iraq winding down, the Democrats appear to be actively trying to drive the country into a deep recession to increase their chances of taking the White House and coming up with a veto-proof majority in both houses.

With prices on gasoline over $4.00 per gallon, the economy is hurting but has so far avoided a major recession. But with the Democrats united behind the idea of doing nothing to increase supply, it's only a matter of time before prices increase and the economy reacts by cutting jobs and raising the price of goods and services through the roof.

And the Democrats are eagerly pushing us right over that cliff.

And if they manage to pull it off, they can pretty much count on the dinosaur media to pin the blame on the Evil Bush Administration and the Big Oil Satan, instead of where it properly belongs...and to trumpet the coming of the Obamassiah and his Democrat accomplices as the cure-all and the dragon slayers.

This is despicable and loathsome, but it's what they're apparently willing to do no matter how much pain and suffering it causes the average American.

The only way this particular train can be derailed is if the Republicans do to the Democrats exactly what the Democrats did to the Republicans on Iraq...scream bloody murder and force multiple, highly public votes on energy bills to make the Democrats identify themselves as the party behind high gas prices.

Does the GOP have the stones to do it? Does John McCain? I suppose we'll see.

Unfortunately right now it looks like the GOP does not have the stones to do it, however, this could change. If the Republicans see they are facing extinction or worse, they may decide to fight back. Pushing for more oil production and the building of more refineries is and excellent way to do this.

As it stands now the problem is that both major political parties are in complete agreement on one thing. That is they both believe that "global warming" or "climate change" are the biggest threats to the world and to the US. As such, the US government, both Repbulicans and Democrats, are at war with "climate change" and, as such, they will not support any thing that might lead to more carbon dioxide. The key differences between the two parties is how far they are willing to go to win the war against "climate change."

This could change. The Republicans are facing extinction unless they get their act together. This may lead them to delcare a truce in the war agains "global warming/climate change" and focus on their real enemies, which are the Democrats.

An excellent way to defeat the Democrats is to push for more oil production and the building of more refineries. In time, this will bring down the price of oil and gasoline and it will give us more leverage in dealing with OPEC nations who are enemies of all Americans. If the Republicans will push this issue, they will help the American people and they may just stave off extinction.
