Obama Quits Trinity Church

It's certainly getting crowded under the wheels of that bus.

The latest casualty is none other than Trinity Church in Chicago, the Chosen One's spiritual home for over twenty years.

The decision was obviously urged on Obama after a video of a recent racist rant by local Catholic priest Michael Phleger surfaced.

Characteristically, Obama put the problem with Trinity on 'outsiders' rather than on the racist nature of the church itself:

"I'm not denouncing the church and I'm not interested in people who want me to denounce the church," he said, adding that the new pastor at Trinity and "the church have been suffering from the attention my campaign has focused on them."

"It's clear that now that I'm a candidate for president, every time something is said in the church by anyone associated with Trinity, including guest pastors, the remarks will imputed to me even if they totally conflict with my long-held views, statements and principles," he said.

(...)

"This is one I didn't see coming."

That last sentence is amazing in its effrontery, and quite revealing.

So here we have a man with presidential ambitions thinking that someone he described as his spiritual mentor, and who was an advisor on his campaign saying G** damn America, accusing the US of inventing the AIDS virus to kill black people and referring to Israel as a `dirty word' from the pulpit wouldn't matter? That the constant anti-white and anti-American sentiments voiced in the church to the loud applause of its congregation would just somehow get a pass?

That he would be able to sit in a temple of bigotry and hatred like Trinity for two decades and no one would want to make an issue of it?

Did he really expect that? Is he really that clueless? Or does he have such a low opinion of the citizens of the country he hopes to lead as to think we'd all just forget about it because he finally resigned? And not because he had any problems with what was going on there, but because his being a presidential candidate made the church 'suffer'!

It's one thing to disagree with someone's politics. It's another thing to have total contempt for a man because he shows a complete lack of principles.

Unfortunately, Barack Hussein Obama may have even bigger problems than Trinity to deal with. According to Larry Johnson at No Quarter as well as a couple of other sources, a video has surfaced of his bitter whiny buppie wife Michelle dissing whitey and accusing blacks who try to integrate into mainstream society as 'selling out.'

The video is supposedly set to break tommorow, and if this is true Obama and his apologists are going to have yet another round of 'splainin' to do, as Ricky Ricardo used to say.
