Obama's About Face On Israel

This is pretty quick, even by Obama's low standards.

Speaking today at the AIPAC Convention, Barack Hussein Obama was very obviously out to convince skeptical Jewish voters of his pro-Israel bonifides, even with all the evidence to the contrary:

"Jerusalem will remain the capital of Israel, and it must remain undivided," is what Obama said yesterday to the 7,000-plus attendees at the American Israel Public Affairs Committee policy conference.

But tomorrow is always another day with Barack Hussein Obama, and it took less than 24 hours for his campaign staff to 'revise' this:

But a campaign adviser clarified Thursday that Obama believes "Jerusalem is a final status issue, which means it has to be negotiated between the two parties" as part of "an agreement that they both can live with."

"Two principles should apply to any outcome," which the adviser gave as: "Jerusalem remains Israel's capital and it's not going to be divided by barbed wire and checkpoints as it was in 1948-1967."

In a word, horse manure.

First of all, what the dinosaur media constantly refers to as 'Largely Arab East Jerusalem' only became so after the Jordanian Arab legion backed with British arms and officers ethnically cleansed every Jew out of the Old City in 1948 and destroyed over 28 historic synogogues there. One of the funniest bits I ever saw on CNN was an interview with an Arab ranting about how his family had lived in his house for generations. During the rant, the camera panned to the upper right hand corner of the front door where you could still see the clear outline where a mezuzah, a Jewish religious symbol found on most Jewish homes had been pried off.

Second, Abbas and his Fatah mafiosos have made it quite clear that they insist on all of East Jerusalem or nothing, and that once they have it Jews will be barred, just as they were before 1967.They were absolutely enraged over these comments:

"This statement is totally rejected," said Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas, whom a top aide described as "disappointed."

"The whole world knows that holy Jerusalem was occupied in 1967 and we will not accept a Palestinian state without having Jerusalem as the capital of a Palestinian state," Abbas said.

The sort of anti-Israeli advisers Obama has on his campaign staff - Zbigniew Brzezinski, Tony McPeak and Robert Malley,to name just a few - are quite aware of this, and obviously provided the weaseling backtrack. They also know full well that if the Palestinians get their blood stained hands on East Jerusalem, it will very much be a case of barbed wire and checkpoints...if nothing else, because Israel's security barrier would be rendered useless and the Palestinians will take advantage of their proximity to kill as many Jews as they can.

Obama also weighed in

I fully expect AIPAC to emphasize the positive - after all, they're lobbyists who live to make friends and antagonize no one - but even they have to privately realize the truth of the matter.

i watched some of hussein's comments on iba news the last couple of evenings. they are just all aflutter about the chosen one. gee, that's funny, i thought monkey boy used that moniker. i haven't seen the little fur ball in a while and damn glad of it.
    i digress.
one of the other comments hussein made at aipac was a very forceful comment regarding iran and their imminate nukes. he kept repeating the phrase "everything in my power". over and over.
i think this man is just saying words.
saying words to get elected and let the fallout happen afterwards.
the night before on iba news they released an israeli poll that showed mccain @ 42%, and hussein @ 21%, the remainder went to HRC. they went on to say the reason for HRC high marks, even though she is comtemplating leaving the race, is because, according to iba news, the joooos like bill clinton and view his wife as an extension of his presidency. they also said the jooos, not israelis, like a political dynasty.
i kinda wonder if we can trust the joooooos.

  2. hi Louie,
Weekend Monkey is kind of on my
s-list at the moment, having failed to deliver an important interview he was supposedly working on, and suffering what we might call a lil' relapse.

I think the fact that he layed heavily on the Detroit Pistons to beat the Celtics might have had something to do with it.

However, after having a couple of frank discussions with him, I think you'll be seeing him again shortly as soon as he sobers up.

Actually. I think Hillary in her own way is more pro-Israel than Bill. You might recall her remarks about obliterating Iran if they attacked Israel..and I don't think it was entirely politics.

As far as Obama goes, well...not much to say there I haven't said already.

    Have a great weekend!
