Terrorist Strike In Jerusalem
A Palestinian terrorist went on a rampage along Jerusalem’s crowded Jaffa Street using a bulldozer to hoist and and overturn a packed bus, and plow into several vehicles and pedestrians.
Three people were reported killed and dozens wounded, two critically.
A woman driver, Bathsheeba Untermann saved Efrat, her six-month old baby’s life by throwing her out of the car window before the oncoming earthmover crushed her to death. The father is missing and may have been in the same car.
The bulldozer stopped just short of Jerusalem's open air market by an off-duty soldier who took a gun from a security guard at the scene and shot the terrorist, who cried "Allah Akhbar" (God is great) before being killed. The soldier, Moshe Klessner, 18, is the brother-in-law of IDF officer David Shapira, who killed the terrorist in the Mercaz Harav Yeshiva attack.
Had the bulldozer reached the market, several dozen people might have been killed.
The terrorist was 30-year old Husam Taysir Dwayat, a Palestinian from Tsur Bachar, one of the Arab villages of Jerusalem, who already had a criminal record for drug dealing, rape and assault. He was employed as a construction worker in one of the road works underway to prepare the thoroughfare for a light railway line.
Why some idiot employed someone like this, let alone trusting him with heavy equipment is beyond me, and I certainly hope this was a wake up call for Israeli employers - I'm amazed they would need one at this late date.
The killer was able to move around freely and work in Jerusalem on a resident’s ID, just like the animal who carried out the murders of 8 yeshiva students at the Mercaz Harav yeshiva on March 7.
Responsibility for the attack was claimed by The Al Aksa Martyrs Brigade, the eterrorists on Mahmoud Abbas' payroll and by a Hezbollah-sponsored terrorist group called the Galilee Liberation Brigades....possibly this was a joint venture.
This is the third terrorist attack on Jerusalem in 11 months.
'Criminal record' that's interesting, you'd think someone like that wouldn't be a terrorist. Did the Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigade make him an offer he couldn't refuse?
ReplyDeleteAu contraire Anonymous..terrorism (and particularly people like Hezbollah and the Pals)is often funded by crime.
ReplyDeleteFatah and Hamas in particular are built along Mob lines.
And your point would be?
Blackmail, be a martyr or be a dead criminal.
ReplyDeleteThat's the point.
