Every week, the Watcher's Council members nominate two posts each, one of their own and one from outside the group for consideration by the whole Council.
As you know, our infamous leader,the Watcher of Weasels retired and is now our leader emeritus, but our brand spankin' new site is up, courtesy of our new Watcher,Terry Trippany and a full list of entries, including the non-Council ones can be found here.
As you can expect, the submissions were dominated by the Angry Left's crazed attack on Sarah Palin and her children and of course, on abortion and pregnancy. Let's see what we've got this week:
1. JoshuaPundit - The End Game In Iraq It's been a very long time since Iraq's been mentioned much, considering that it was supposedly the whole reason for Barack Obama's camapign. Yet, it hasn't gone away. I try to take an honest look at where we succeeded in Iraq, and more importantly , where we failed...and what it might portend for the future.
2.The Glittering Eye - Chicago’s Proposed Mandatory Spay/Neuter Ordinance Dave Schuler examines the ins and outs of a proposed nanny state law to mandate neutering of pets.
3. Soccer Dad - Two Years Soccer Dad reflects on one of the joys of life, watching a child grow. Goodness, SD, has it really been two years already?
4. Bookworm Room - Examining the Unborn Ms. Bookworm reflects on the SF Chronicle's report on the murder of a mother and her unborn child and cleverly uses it as a launching pad to examine our attitudes towards abortion and the unborn.
I'm particularly glad she cites halacha (Jewish law based on the Torah)in the piece since many secular Jews continue to erroneously make the argument that Judaism sanctions abortion on demand.
5. The Razor - Life in a One Party State: America’s Future Under Obama-Biden Like me, Scott lives in a one party state. And he uses it here to predict what we're in store for should the Democrats carry both the legislative and executive branches of government come November.
6. Wolf Howling - Palin in Comparison A nifty photo essay by GW, contrasting Sarah Palin and Obama.
7. The Colossus of Rhodey - The inanity begins with Bristol Palin Hube takes exception to the Left's idea, sparked by the Bristol Palin brew hah hah, that comprehensive sex education reduces teen pregnancies.
As he points out, these programs have been ubiquitous since the 1970's...an dteen pregnancy has skyrocketed. Nice try, no sale leftards.
8. Rhymes With Right - When Does Human Life Begin Greg examines the question from a scientific and ethical standpoint, and compares it with the current Democtic nominees position in support of infanticide.

9. Cheat-Seeking Missiles - Juno In Juneau Laer examines the Sarah/Bristol Palin pregnancy dustup in detail, with this week's cutest title.
10. The Education Wonks - China Arnold: Monster a particularly sordid story from EdWonk as he returns to the fray, concerning the microwaving of a baby. Out of respect, I'll resist the temptation to make any tasteless jokes or puns on what is actually a very depressing matter.
