What To Expect Tommorow..And How To Handle It

This piece will stay at the top of the thread until tomorrow...

My intention here is to give you a good idea of what to expect, and more importantly how to cope with it.

*The first thing I recommend is that you stay away from the dinosaur media as much as possible, at least until the polls in your home state are officially closed and you've voted.

Rest assured that the dinosaur media have a vested interest in the Chosen One's coronation.

They are likely to do whatever it takes to discourage turnout for McCain-Palin...skewed exit polls showing Obama way ahead and early calling of states as Obama wins while the polls are still open, lies from the punditry yakking it up about a blowout. Ignore them. We'll find out the truth soon enough, and it's your responsibility to keep yourself in a frame of mind where you realize your vote counts. Remember, in 2004 the media's fake early call of Florida for Gore cost the GOP an estimated 7,500 votes or more in the panhandle.

And realize that no matter what happens in the presidential vote, your vote is vital in affecting elections for Congress and your state legislature.

*If you must tune in to the media, concentrate on the sources that have always presented the truth to you - talk radio, the blogosphere and FOX on a good day.

I and Weekend Monkey will likely be doing some live blogging, especially late at night when it counts. We'll keep you up to date.

* Channel your anxiety and energy into helping to get the vote out if you can.

Call your local McCain campaign office and ask if you can man the phones or help get people to the polls. If they're too incompetent to come up with a way to utilize you, here's an idea. Aside from calling people you know and reminding them to vote, check out the local VA hospital or your local veteran's home. You'll likely find some of our warriors there who are prepared to vote the right way and could use a lift to the polls.

Be on watch for irregular goings on at the polling places. If you see anything, report it

This would include electioneering within a certain distance from a polling place ( check your local ordinances) including t-shirts, signs,or buttons; any kind of intimidation; anything suspicious you see going on regarding ballots or voting that doesn't look or feel right.

99.9% of the folks working as precinct workers or election judges are decent, honorable people with a sincere commitment to overseeing a free and fair election, no matter what their personal politics might be. If you see something questionable going on, don't be afraid to talk to them about it.

Plus, the McCain-Palin campaign has set up a hotline to report irregularities.
The number is 866-976-VOTE.

As to what we have in store, no matter who wins, be alert and expect some violence, even if Obama wins. Any member of the Los Angeles Police Department who was on duty during the 'celebrations' over the Laker's basketball championships knows this firsthand. Now you do too.

Expect a long night before we know the real results, and very likely some legal shenanigans in an attempt to influence things one way or the other. From what we've seen of the Obama campaign, I would expect no less.

Keep yourself cheerful, upbeat and manifesting good energy, no matter what. We're going to win this one. And rest assured, our Republic's going to ultimately be fine whatever happens.

MOST IMPORTANT, DAMMIT! GO VOTE! NO EXCUSES!

    that is code for:
ff has locked up the liquor cabinet and hidden all sharp objects.

i personally can't imagine ff allowing monkey boy to spend election eve at his house, but if he doesn't chimpy will probably show up about 6ish (local time) plastered.

all i can say at this point is i'm glad that chimpy didn't undertake some type of independant bid. like i thought he was going to at the time he pulled out of the primaries. he probably would have taken votes from jmac.

This is excellent advice. I pray you are right about our Republic ultimately being fine. I agree, if the country can survive the first two years of a Barack Obama Presidency. A far left President and a far left Congress will likely be an unmitigated disaster. The American people will likely throw out the Democratic Congress during the next elections. Even if there is some validity to a far left position, it is unlikely to be successful. Too much power will be concentrated into the hands of too few. This has never worked well. Should Obama win, I look for the Democratic Congress to only last until the next elections. Also, many of team Obama's illegal actions will likely lead to his impeachment.

The key will be surviving the first two years. Russia and China probably recognize they have a window of opportunity of about two years when America will be extremely vunerable, should Obama win. It will probably take another ten years to fully pick up the pieces of a failed Obama presidency but at least America will likely be alert and making the proper investments in its military and intellegece services. Again, the key is survivng the first two years of an Obama Presidency. It would be a tough task but its doable with enough prayer and hard work.

Should McCain win, the Republic will likely be in for a bumpy ride but it should survive assuming McCain can muster the will and the courage to stand up to America's enemies in the media and the government bueracracy. If he can't or won't do it, I would suggest he step aside for someone who will like Sarah Palin.

Americans will ultimately have to decide if they want America to be a major world power or not. If the answer is no, perhaps we can downsize some of our overseas military committments. If we do want to remain a major power, we will need to significantly upgrade our military. We lag behind Russia and China in many keys areas. An area of major concern is the nuclear arsenal. Amnerica's military arsenal is aging. It needs to be upgraded significantly in the coming years. Currently Russia and China have new ultra modern nuclear weapons.

Something will have to be done about the massive national debt. The best thing to do here would be to cut out the pork.

While the country faces significant challenges, it can survive and it should. The biggest mistake we could make would be to become openly hostile to Israel. This would create a multitude of problems. These are as follows: 1.)In the Holy Scriptures God decrees that the land from the Euphrates to the River in Egypt belongs to Abraham's descendents which are the Jews. Anyone who opposes God's plan in this area faces the risk of the wrath of God falling on them. 2.)America and West need Israel to act as a buffer against Islamic terrorists. If this buffer is weakened, it becomes more difficult and costly to defend America and the free world. 3.) Israel has the best led, the best trained, and the most technologically sophisticated military on earth. There is not a military in the Western World including the United States that can expect ot defeat them. Some people appear to be insane enough to try such an insane policy.

  3. Hi louie, ,
Actually,I'm going to Monkey's place in the Hollywood Hills..simpler that way.

    Greetings,Poster!
I hope all's well..take a minute (well, 44 minutes) and listen to Reagan's acceptance speech in 1980 at the RNC. You'll be amazed how timely it is and how clearly he lays out the choices before us, even today.

    Regards,
    ff

    my voting experience 2008:

for the first time ever at the hardesty library polling place i had to stand in line.
i usually arrive at mid-morning and did the same this time.
i am usually anywhere from the high 400s to high 600s in voting.
    today i was 1161.
the ballots were stacked behind the election officials in canadian mist boxes.
oklahoma spares no expense when it comes to transporting ballots. you would have thought they would have used jack daniels or jim beam for crying out loud.
i had my sample ballot with me to know how to vote on the state questions and went right to work.
i got my little "i voted" sticker and left.
on my way out i noticed there was no line.
this was the voting experience of LL in 2008.
it's odd, but when i vote i don't think of the men and women who have secured for me the right to vote. i think of the rest of the world and how they just don't get it.

    FF,

I'm doing well. Thank you. I will listen to Reagan's speech time permitting. I think one thing that is for certain should Obama win is the Soviet Union will be reestablished in all of the areas that it had control over during Soviet days. The Russians may not call it the Soviet Union but in substance it will be the same empire. In fact, it will probably be larger. I don't expect the Russians to formally annex East Germany but Germany's dependence on Russian oil which seems to be increasing will give them de facto control over German foreign and domestic policy. In other words, all of Germany is on the verge of becoming a de facto Russian colony. Russia is witin a milimeter of reestablishing a de facto Soviet Union. They should be able to complete this within the first two years of an Obama term. Given that Obama seems to me to be most likely to win, it appears we fought the Cold War for nothing. This would be an unspeakable tradgedy should this happen and it is all but guaranteed to happen should Obama win.

If McCain wins, there is a chance he might be willing to stand up to the Russians. Will he be able to do so? The Democrat controlled Congress which will likely be the reality for the next two years will not help him. The media will not help him. The Government bueracrats are unlikely to help. The CIA will not help. America's allies are unlikely to help. Can McCain and a few Republicans do this all alone? Is there some way to go around the main stream media and speak directly to the American people?

Does McCain even have the courage to do all of this? Given the lackluster campaign he and his team have run, I'm nto convinced he really wants to be President.

It appears we fought the Cold War for nothing. At the very least, if America wants to survive let alone remain a major world power, it appears we will have to fight the Cold War all over again. Truly a tradgedy should this happen.

  6. I was wanting the left-wing illuminati to come out losing by a landslide, and it was the complete opposite. Now we're doomed.
