Russians refuse To Shake Obama's Hand
Apparently the Chosen One's buttkissery did not result in a 'reset' with the Russians after all, as the video shows the Russians snubbing Obama as goes into his usual bowin' and scrapin' act and tries to shake their hands!
Needless to say, you won't see this on CNN, the Alphabet networks, or any of the other outlets of our state run media.
Ordinarily, as an American I'd take this as an insult. But considering how Obama behaved in Moscow, I can't really blame the Russians for having contempt for him.
As a matter of fact, I have a few reasons why I wouldn't particularly want to shake hands with him myself.
But you can't say I didn't give him a chance.
(hat tip to Jim and Desert Conservative)
UPDATE: A couple of ObamaBots have written in to try and pass this off as Obama introducing his own people to Medvedev, believe it or not. I'd love them to explain why the Chosen One keeps sticking his own hand out for people to shake, something he'd be unlikely to do with his own staff if he was just 'introducing' the Russian president to them. Or the visibly annoyed look on his face when he gets snubbed.
Nice try, no sale.
At least they didn't give him the old fake handshake fix their hair trick. Psych!
ReplyDeleteNow that would have been funny!
ReplyDeleteThe fake handshake move actually was done in diplomatic circles once, believe it or not.
It happened on the USS Missouri, during the Japanese surrender, and was pulled by US General Jonathon Wainright. who did the Bataaan death march with his men and spent much of the war in abysmal conditions in a Japanese prison camp.
When a Japanese general sought to shake hands with him during the ceremony, Wainright held his hand out and then jerked it over his right shoulder with the baseball umpire's 'you're out' signal.
And yeah, the footage exists somewhere.
I didn't know this about the end of WWII. The Japanese lost WWII, so I suppose the fake hand shake makes sense. America lost here. I guess that is why the Russians pulled what they did.
ReplyDeleteObama essentially went to Russia to try and make nice with the most powerful nation on earth right now. It appears he failed. This is very distressing. If America is going to survive it must find some way to peacefully co exist with Russia and China who are the two most powerful countries on earth right now.
This was a bad deal for America all the way around. Russia already possessed a qualitative advantage in its nuclear arsenal and the means to deliver them. By agreeing to reduce these weapons and the means to deliver them this would give the Russians an even greater edge than they already have.
A better deal would be for America to agree to withdraw from all areas that Russia considers its interest. In exchange for this, America would get to keep its entire nuclear arsenal and the means to deliver them. If this deal goes through, America is essentially naked and defenseless before the world's major powers!!
If Mr. Obama had disrepected Russian leaders in this manner, the media would have been up and arms over the "arrogant" and "disrepectful" Americans. When American leaders are disrespected, the media is silent!! If this anti-Americanism continues, it is going to be next to impossible for us to reach honorable agreements with foreign nations.
Guys: he's introducing the guy, not trying to shake anyones hand
ReplyDeleteIndeed , hes introducing the guys ! glad that you are such understanding idiots and making not so fast conclusions wich might become WWIII.
ReplyDeleteFOOLS!
As much as I dislike Obama I a have to agree, it looks like he's giving an introduction and not trying to shake hands.
ReplyDeleteHow nice it would be if I am wrong
Nope.
ReplyDeleteMind you, I'm no fan of this jerk, but you need to keep things in the proper context. This short clip took place after Obama met the Russian delegation.
That's U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke in the bottom left corner. I was not aware he defected to Russia...
