This is must see stuff...two Democrat Congressmen getting the raw end of their constituent's anger.
Notice how the crowd reacts to Arlen Spector when he talks about the need to get ObamaCare done quickly...money quote ; "You guys in Congress are getting the best care available on our dime. For the rest of us, its off to a hospice to die."
And in this one, we have Tim Bishop from Setauket New York stepping on his own equipment. I particularly like when he was extolling how well the VA works and a veteran in the crowd asked him "Are you a veteran? Have you ever been to VA as a veteran?" Brutal..and let's hope the rest of the clowns in the current Congress are getting the same reactions and that people remember when November 2010 comes around.
It is my considered opinion that what happens when November 2010 comes around will depend to a large degree on how the economy is at that time. If it is doing as it is now or worse, the Democrats face a very uphill battle to retain control of Congress and they may even get trounced very badly. If the economy improves or there are definitive signs that it is about to improve, then the Democrats likely coast to victory and may even pick up additional seats in the House and Senate.
ReplyDeleteWhile it is true that there is very little that the House, Senate, or the President can do to actually improve the economy, there are things they can do to make it worse. For example, during a time of recession you DO NOT increase taxes or Government spending. This is likely to only make things worse. As it is, this is precisely what the Democrats are doing. As such, this increases the odds that the economic situation will worsen and decreases their odds of getting reelected.
Perhaps they plan to use the police and the military to maintain control. That formula has worked quite well in other countries. Can it work here? I don't think so but we may be finding out soon enough.
Hi poster,
ReplyDeleteWhile it is true that there is very little that the House, Senate, or the President can do to actually improve the economy, there are things they can do to make it worse.
Actually, there's a great deal Congress and the president could do to improve the economy.Cutting taxes and spending, drilling for our own oil and funding nuclear power and synthetic fuels would do that, as well as create a lot of jobs.
So would enforcing our border and domestic content legislation on manufacturing to give both foreign and domestic companies incentives to base manufacturing here.
Important thing to realize, Poster. Obama is not about saving or improving the economy.Nothing he and the democrats have done thus far would remotely result in that.
IMO, it is a deliberate attempt to tank the US economy, make people desperate and dependent on government for employment and the basic necessities and cement the current political dominance of Obama and the Democrats in place for a long, long time.
Obama wants to 'remake' America in his own image. Being a neo-marxist, he realizes you have to tear down the existing structure first.
