Sarah Palin Targeted By The Angry Left Again

As you know, Sarah Palin's forthcoming book is smashing all records in pre-order, is already a major best seller and is due out November 17th.

And that has the Angry Left absolutely seething. So a startup Leftard publisher is coming out of the wordwork with their own hit job version, due out the same day as Palin's book, one day after Oprah has her on to try and rejuvenate Oprah's sagging ratings and credibility. And as you'll notice, with a markedly similar cover design and title in a clear attempt to make a few bucks confusing people.

"Going Rouge - An American Nightmare" is only available in paper online from this sleazy publisher or as an e-book, and of course, ( unlike Sarah's actual book) there are no refunds.

The creative contributors of this hit piece are just lovely. It's edited by Richard Kim and Betsy Reed, two senior editors for the hard Left Nation Magazine, and the excerpts are done by Leftard icons like Max Blumenthal, Michelle Goldberg, Jane Hamsher, Naomi Klein, Dahlia Lithwick,Joe Conason, John Nichols, Matt Taibbi, Michael Tomasky and Katrina vanden Heuvel.

I suppose David Corn, Andrew Sullivan, Keith Olbermann and Maureen Dowd were either too busy or too pricy.

Each order of "Going Rouge' comes with a souvenir Special Edition plastic waterproof photo suitable for spitting on during the Ten Minute Hate.

I may have made that last one up.

I would not be surprised to see HarperCollins slap an injuction on these people as this is a clear effort to to deceive the public and constitutes trademark infringement and unfair competition.

My goodness, but the Left is deathly afraid of this woman.

And it will be even worse once her book comes out. Sarah Palin could very well end upo the first billionaire political author.

I don't think people on the left are afraid of Palin. I think they LOVE her! She's fantastic material for comedians, pundits, satirists, etc!

The problem with Palin is that she's got little appeal beyond her base. That makes her supporters love her devotedly, but it also makes her unelectable.

Actually, I am not afraid of Palin, but amused by her. She certainly does a great job of making money without actually performing any work. She's the Paris Hilton of politics.

I probably won't buy either book, but anyone with half a brain would not be deceived by the parody version. I think the stormy skies and the word "Nightmare" would give it away immediately. And if that didn't do it, merely flipping the pages and seeing essays versus biography would.

  3. Oh, c'mon, it's not just THE LEFT.
Palin's OWN have been the biggest detractor's from the gitgo. Now Frank Bailey is publiching a TELL ALL about Palin. HER HATCHET MAN.
Palin has a following, TEAMSARAH, and they have hurt her the MOST. They set the bar so LOW that she knows she doesn't have to DO anything to please them and that she CAN do anything and they will just blindly applaud.

  4. Oh, I think fear is quite an appropriate term when you look at how desperately she and her family have been attacked and the organized attempt to bankrupt her.

Fifteen bogus 'ethics' complaints all of which got tossed out of court? C'mon.

    And of course, there's this.

A charismatic female Republican with traditional values who draws crowds wherever she goes and who has a unique ability to communicate and get average Americans to relate to her? Nah, nothing for the Left to be afraid of.

FTR, I had the opportunity to meet her in Alaska before she went national and found her pretty impressive...and I'm rarely impressed by politicians oneither side of the aisle. I can tell you first hand that she is absolutely nothing like the cartoon character the dinosaur media portrays her as.

As for her being amusing, an old Irish saying: "Let him laugh who wins."

    Regards,
    Rob

  5. As far as Going Rouge goes, it will sell maybe 1,000 copies to the hardcore Palin haters, but won't even have much appeal to them. Why buy a book, when all they have to do is turn on MSNBC, or look at all the anti-Palin BS online for free.

Actually, this will probably increase the sales of Going Rogue.

What the left really fears is the Going Rogue will be read by perhaps millions of women around the country, who will be won over. I suspect a substantial percentage of 0prah's viewers will be heading to their local bookstore on Nov 17th to get a copy of Going Rogue.

It was recently announced that Palin will be at the College of the Ozarks, and within an hour all the tickets were gone. She also drew 20,000+ to Auburn NY in June.

Anyone who thinks that she only appeals to a narrow base are only following themselves. I'm an independent voter, and have become a huge supporter of Gov. Palin.

i can't understand why sarah palin would soil herself by appearing on whoprah.
it will do nothing for her book by appearing on *that show*.
and it will do nothing for sarah palin by appearing on whoprah.
what are they going to discuss?
whoprah's recent trip to copenhagen on the taxpayer's dime?
sarah palin appeals to so many because she has no ties to elists and/or establishment types.
appearing next to whoprah is a sell-out by sarah palin.

  8. Oh, I hear you, Louie. But consider this.

There are a great many people who watch this squalid show who know nothing about Sarah Palin except what they get on CBS News, People and the View.

This is a chance for them to experience who she really is, and I doubt she would have gone on if she wasn't sure she would be able to hold her own. Governor Palin is a lot more experienced with these people know than she was during the campaign.

And I expect the interview will concentrate on the personal rather than the politics. And yeah, it will sell books.
