The Senate ObamaCare Bill - Watching heads Explode Part II

[exploding_head.jpg]

As I mentioned last night, heads are absolutely exploding on the Left over the Senate Obamacare fiasco.

Prez Zero is now taking well deserved flak from both sides:

Howard Dean and Obama shill David Axelrod went toe to toe this morning, with Dean issuing a third straight day of attacks and Axelrod calling in to messNBC to diss Dean and say that the Angry Left would be 'insane to sink this bill'.

Nor, as I pointed out, is Dean the only one with harsh words about ObamaCare as it now stands.

Ed Schultz, Rachel Maddow, and of course Keeeff Obermouth are going berserk. I bet the rug under Obermouth's desk was soiled after that rant.

The Left blogs are likewise foaming at the mouth. here's a fairly representative sample from Markos 'screw those Iraq mercenaries' Moulitsas over at Daily Kos wrote "Time to kill this monstrosity coming out of the Senate....You pass a s——-y program now that further bankrupts our nation, and we won't be talking about 'fixing' it in a few years, but whether it should even exist."

As Obama-ite Peggy Noonan put it, talking to Axelrod on MessNBC today: “On the issue of health care, you are losing the left, you are losing the right, you are losing the center. That looks to me like a political disaster.”

Actually, the fragging Prez Zero is getting from his own side is more than well deserved.

while we haven't seen th ewhole bill yet - Harry Reid refuses to let it come out publicly for air - the core elements are well known.

There's a lot about mandating that everybody is covered, including those who get here illegally. To spread the pain around and supposedly lower costs, everyone will be required to participate and buy insurance from private carriers if they're US citizens. If they refuse, they will get hit hard with large tax penalties by the Feds.

There are no provisions for shopping across state lines for insurance, so there are few limits to what insurance carriers may charge for this mandated coverage..and the individual consumer can expect a major hosing as premiums rise unless you're one of the Deserving Poor that qualify for Federal subsidies.

And where will the cash for subsidies come from? The Democrats plan to cut nearly $500 billion from Medicare to fund them. Can you say rationed care? How 'bout death panels? This is a $6 trillion bridge to nowhere,

Oh, there are a few more wrinkles...the bill trashes the Hyde amendment by allowing federal funding for abortions. And of course, Obama's corrupt sweetheart deal with Big Pharma remains intact.

And believe it or not, Prez Zero and his minions are pushing to get the bill passed before Christmas, no matter how bad it is - because they've spent all this energy on it and Obama wants a WIN dammit, because his numbers are tanking, Obama atrributes that to the ObamaCare debacle and he wants to put this behind him and move on to yet another irresponsible attempt to wreck the country.

I understand why the Left is so angry about all this, I really do. Because unlike the rest of us, they bought Zero's crap with an almost sexual fervor. They believed.

And now they're faced with the knowledge that they were all conned, screwed and left bleeding in an alley with their wallets missing. And without even being kissed.

considering the kos quote, and the source, i'm curious if kos was speaking of the healthcare bill or the country formerly known as the united states of america when he says "should even exist". i'm not much for diagraming sentences so i can't be sure but it seems to me something is dangling in that sentence.
as for noonan, i could get banned from J/P for posting a comment.
i don't agree with ff about the reason the left is angry with their savior/messiah. i believe they are mad because they have what amounts to a super majority in the senate and a clear majority in the house. pass it already. they don't care if it bankrupts the country. you believe kos about this? hah! they have bought and paid for hussein's dislike of this nation. they hated bush and his relationship with the big pharma, but it's ok for hussein to have the same relationship.
in short, they aren't mad at hussein for the bill, they are mad for not getting it passed and moving on to something else to dismantle about this country. like the airlines.

  2. Oh, I actually don't think we disagree much. You're exactly correct, they do want socialism rammed through, Great LeaP Forward style. And they counted on Obama and the rest of his party to implement it.

But they ARE pissed off because of the bill Obama and his friends have actually given them after all the foreplay, they're broken hearted that he turned out to be just another Chi-town corrupt back room pol and I'm enjoying every minute of it.

Remember, these people are not really into the Democratic process unless it serves them.Tough.

As for the Kos quote, with Markos, it could be either. It's very hard to spend time on Daily Kos with the ol' gorge reaction kicking in after a while.

As you may know, the 'mercenaries' he was talking about were four of his fellow American who were murdered by al Sadr's boys in Fallujah, and then had their bodies dragged through the streets, mutilated and burned before being hung from a bridge over the Euphrates.

If I happened to meet Mr. Kos, It would take a major effort on my part being polite if I was in the same room with him.
