By now, most of you know about how Harry Reid described then-candidate Barack Obama in 2008 to author Mark Halperin as a "light-skinned" with "no Negro dialect unless he wants to have one".
As I predicted, all of Reid's fellow Democrats, everyone from President Obama to the < Congressional Black Caucus are circling the wagons around the Senate Majority leader.
Reid, you see, is down for the Agenda and thus bullet proof with these people.
But it goes deeper than that.
What Reid was really saying is that America is a racist country and would never get behind anyone who looks too dark skinned and who sounds too authentically 'black.'
Needless to say, this fits in perfectly with the Democrat's view of their own country, and its likely especially true when it comes to the President and the majority of the CBC.
I'd love them to show me another country in the world outside of Africa or a few nations in the Caribbean where black people have anything remotely like the presence, opportunities and influence American blacks enjoy in the political establishment, academia, business and the arts as they do here in America.
Racism can partially be defined as having an inordinate concentration on race to the exclusion of all other considerations.
Based on that, I think we know whom the real racists are. No matter how it gets spun.
