FOX has the story now:
The U.S. Army is investigating allegations that soldiers were attempting to poison the food supply at Fort Jackson in South Carolina.
The ongoing probe began two months ago, Chris Grey, a spokesman for the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division, told Fox News.
The Army is taking the allegations “extremely seriously,” Grey said, but so far, "there is no credible information to support the allegations."
The suspects were part of a Arabic translation program called "09 Lima" and use Arabic as their first language, two sources told Fox News. Another military source said they were Muslim.
Grey would not confirm or deny the sources’ information.
Whom do they think they're kidding? If there's no 'credible information' why are these Muslim soldiers in custody, especially given the PC climate towards Islam in today's military? And why was the Department of defense sitting on this for two months, until other sources broke the story and the DoD had to go public?
As I've revealed previously, the military and our national security services, for political reasons routinely spurns as translators Jews, Bahai's, Armenians and other Christians who speak perfectly fluent Arabic, Farsi and even Urdu and Pashto and deliberately goes out of its way to recruit Muslims.
When you don't vet them properly (and sometimes, even when you do) you get a Major Hassan or the jihadi cell at Fort Jackson, among others.
Again, let's not jump to conclusions until we get some answers..this is still an investigation, officially. We'll see what develops.
There's no one in custody. According to The State newspaper of Columbia, SC, "A local law enforcement official familiar with the reports who insisted on anonymity said Thursday that there was no attempt made to poison any soldiers, adding that a rumor started when several disgruntled soldiers shot their mouths off late last year. There was never any threat, nothing credible, he insisted."

Mr. Sensing,
ReplyDeleteI'm familiar with your views on this subject, and I understand that you feel it's very important to debunk this.
You've posted on a lot of sites,
An 'anonymous law enforcement source' is fine, but I think I'll wait until the DoD announces that their investigation is complete and nothing happened.
And I'd still like to know why this was quashed until th emedia broke it.
