Joe Sestak's Jihad Baggage

Joe Sestak, the Democrat candidate for Senate in Pennsylvania is in the news because he defeated Republican-turned-Democrat Arlen Specter in the primary and because he's been very vocal on a number of occasions that he was offered a White House job to stay out of the primary and ensure the party-hopping Specter another chance at re-election - a potential felony bust for whatever White House denizen offered him the job.

But there's a lot more to Joe Sestak that's interesting. Aside from his endorsement of Obama's agenda, the would-be senator has a very interesting record on terrorism, jihad and the Middle East.

Back in 2007, Rep. Sestak voted in favor of H R 1585, a nefarious amendment designed to tie President Bush's hands in dealing with Iran.

That same year, Sestak
gave the keynote address at a banquet and fundraiser for the Philadelphia Chapter of the Muslim Brotherhood front group Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR). In response to criticism over his decision, Sestak said CAIR was a “legitimate organization” doing “good work.”

Even Barbara Boxer and Chuck Schumer knew better than to get on that particular train, and in fact before Sestak's appearance at the dinner, the Justice Department named CAIR an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Federation trial.

Sestak still proudly appeared as scheduled.

More recently, in 2009 Sestak refused to sign the bi-partisan Hoyer-Cantor Letter reaffirming the U.S.-Israel alliance and urging President Obama to press Arab nations to give good faith concessions to Israel to help the Mid East peace process with Israel even though 328 of the members of Congress did.

Sestak was also a prominent member of a group form by Rep. Keith Ellison I call the Congressmen from Hamas . This was group of historically anti-Israel Congressmen led by ex-Nation of Islam member and Minnesota congressman Keith Ellison who sent a letter to President Obama urging him to pressure Israel to unilaterally open its borders with Gaza.

Needless to say, there was absolutely no recognition of the attacks on Israel, which is why those borders were closed in the first place after Hamas took over the Strip in a violent coup that started the civil war between Hamas and Fatah.

Nor was there any mention of pressuring Egypt, a large recipient of US foreign aid to open Egypt's borders with Gaza or to stop building its new security barrier, which includes underground steel barriers to make tunnel smuggling more difficult.Only Israel is singled out, which proves how anti-Israel and anti-Semitic the letter actually was.

Many of the signatories are among the top recipients of campaign money from CAIR, a source of campaign funds for Sestak as well.

And finally, Joe Sestak is enthusiastically endorsed by the anti-Israel George Soros funded group J-Street's PAC.

Either Sestak is clueless about the implications of whom he's in bed with or he simply doesn't care. Either reason should be enough to disqualify him from becoming a US Senator.

Pennsylvania's Jewish and Evangelical voters, and anyone else who cares about America's security ought to think twice before pulling the lever for this tool in November.

The current Islamic Jihad enemy we currently face poses a far greater threat to our country than Nazi Germany or Imperial Japan ever did or likely ever could. While it is not the only reason this is so, one of the major reasons for this is the level of infiltration these people have achieved into our government and throughout all levels of society.

Many people in the media obsess over the influence of the Jews on American policy. Their influence is insignifcant compared to the influence of countries like Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and Egypt. Come to think it I think it might be the Islamic Jihadists and their allies who are telling us we should worry about the Jews. I think misdirection is a strategy often used in war. The Islamic Jihadists have certainly done a masterful job at this.

Frankly I'm not sure how to fight this enemy. Defeating the Nazis and the Imperial Japanese was easy compared to the effort it is going to take to defeat this enemy. I think the first step is a realistic and frank assessment of the enemy. This really seems to be lacking right now.
