Liz Cheney On Obama's Reaction To The Gaza Flotilla

http://i.thisislondon.co.uk/i/pix/2009/05/liz-cheney-415x275.jpg

You go girl!

“Yesterday, President Obama said the Israeli action to stop the flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip was “tragic.” What is truly tragic is that President Obama is perpetuating Israel’s enemies’ version of events.

The Israeli government has imposed a blockade around Gaza because Hamas remains committed to Israel’s destruction, refusing to recognize Israel’s right to exist and using territory under their control to launch attacks against Israeli civilians. The Israeli blockade of Gaza, in order to prevent the re-arming of Hamas, is in full compliance with international law.

Had the Turkish flotilla truly been interested in providing humanitarian aid to Gaza, they would have accepted the Israeli offer to off-load their supplies peacefully at the Israeli port of Haifa for transport into Gaza.

President Obama is contributing to the isolation of Israel, and sending a clear signal to the Turkish-Syrian-Iranian axis that their methods for ostracizing Israel will succeed, and will be met by no resistance from America. There is no middle ground here. Either the United States stands with the people of Israel in the war against radical Islamic terrorism or we are providing encouragement to Israel’s enemies—and our own.

I'd say she gets it. The Dark Lord is smiling somewhere...and it's nice to know that when he rides into the sunset, there's a member of the clan to carry on the good work.

When I first read the Christian prophecies concerning the end of this age/world, including the forthcoming scrap near Megiddo, I was puzzled. How could it be that Israel was going to be alone against the whole of the rest of the world? We see that bit coming true before our own eyes. It is very, very late.

  2. LOL? Jesus preached the end of time when he was 'a live' - if he ever existed. The world is not or has ever been against Israel. The USA gives Israel billions in aid. While many of the other other industrialized nations give millions. What people are sick and tired of is the senseless murder, torture, rape and hateful actions against free citizens of the world the Israeli government has been directly responsible for.

Like the world stood against Hitler the world will stand against Israel and Muslim terrorists, or any terrorists. However, this is not to fulfill vague, contradicting, nonsensical or irrational prophecies written by ancient bias sand strewn men with a personal agenda to advance by any means necessary. It will be to support the human rights of citizens everywhere by any means necessary.

Lets be honest. There were no:
    WMDs
    IEDs
    Chemicals
    Bombs
    Explosives
    Guns
    Surface To Air Missiles
    No intercepted terrorist chatter
No evidence to suggest malicious intent
No legal violation of the law on behalf of the vessel.

Israel does maintain an illegal blockade. Israel did sit down and plan an intentional military strike against a vessel in international water without warning under the cover of darkness.

Did you see the pictures of 'weapons' - LOL LOL LOL? Weapons of terrorists? OMG? Did you see them? Slingshots, rocks in a pepsi bottle and a picture which included 15 kitchen knives, a skinning knife(of sorts) a kitchen knife sharpener. Guess what there was a kitchen on board. Oh, ya dollar store fire works too.

As of this post 6/5/2010 less than 20 hours ago Israel stopped a ship from ireland.

What they did find on the ship. Standard supplies. Many people age 50-88. One American who was shot 4 times and once in the face for good measure, several dead humans murdered in cold blood. This was a well planned mission. Even as a citizen... I have access to non-lethal weapons which can stop someone's whose intention is to kill me or my family with much more dangerous 'weapons' than found on that ship. The US/UK when we send out police(not our military) to calm riots of 5-10,000 people whose intention is to openly and knowingly bring harm to authority and destroy property which is not theirs have been stopped with non-lethal force thousands of times.

We have video, eye witness accounts and oddly survivors. Mr.Obama please take action on Monday morning. I am happy to hear anyone who feels we must call for action. Other than complain on the net I am unsure what to do.

  3. Thank you, T.Schwarz for posting the funniest anti-Semitic rant of the week. And that stands whether you happen to be 'Jewish' or not.

Believe me,there were some doozies you beat out for the honor, although a lot of them were a bit too profane to be posted.

There is not one factually correct statement in your entire post, and frankly I have no intention of wasting the time or electrons to sort through this garbage piece by piece.

I'll simply raise a few questions, just for giggles:

    1) If there were no weapons on the Marmara, how did two Israelis end up with gunshot wounds...in a calibre the IDF doesn't use?Why were a number of these people carrying night vision goggles, large sums of cash and various electronic parts usable in IEDs?

    2) If those vicious Israelis violently intended to attack that small army of unarmed mercenaries on the Marmara, how come so many IDF soldiers were injured so badly and so few of the Islamist terrorist groupies were killed? You'd think that none of them would heva been hurt.

Why did those murderous IDF killers shoot so many in the legs once they finally did decide to to respond to the live fire and molotov cocktails being thrown at them? You think the IDF doesn't know how to shoot to kill?

    3) Tell me why Israel should permit open access to fascists like Hamas with its genocidal policies towards Jews? Ever check out the Martyr's Oath, part of their charter? Why should they allow Hamas to get Grad missiles from Iran, especially since Hamas already shoots missiles and fires mortars at Israeli civilians? Talk about yer collective punishment, boyo?

I have no problem whatsoever with your blatant Jew hatred. In fact I applaud your clarity, since that's all I ever ask for.

    Keep on believing.

Freedom fighter. Mr. Schwartz didn't mention the word Jew in any of his writing, only Israel. It's an important distinction. One should be able to critisize policies and actions of the country of Israel without becoming an anti semite.

No matter what was on the ship boarding it in international waters is piracy a crime under international law. Killing someone while committing a crime is murder. Taking people from international waters against their will is kidnapping. All serious crimes that the country of Israel should be held accountable to. The criminality is very cut and dry and the US president should condemn this. This unconditional support of Israel no matter what it does is a big reason the arab world hates us so much. We all know what happens

  5. Oh hello Elizabeth.

Let's not play games here. Your friend is talking about Jews, and we both know it.

Equating them with the sort of people who pulled off Beslan and 9/11 would be a hoot, except for the fact that Schwartz317 obviously takes it seriously.

Your understanding of the International Law concerned is likewise deficient, I'm afraid.

Aside from the San Remo Convention already mentioned, there is also UNSC Resolution 1860, which calls for member states not to rearm Hamas.Since Iran and Syria never complied with this and suffered no UN penalty for doing so, Israel is not bound by it either and is entitled to take measures for the defense of its citizens under Article 4 of the UN Charter.

I might also mention that before Israel pulled out of Gaza in 2005, the UN, the EU and the US guaranteed Israel that Gaza would not become a security problem and pledged to intervene to make sure that didn't happen.

A number of us predicted at the time that leaving Gaza was a huge mistake.

As you know, they did zip about it - so what do you expect Israel to do? Oh, I know...you like the idea of Iran someday shipping a nuke there to deal with those pesky Jews, perhaps?

Running a blockade during hostilities is an act of war. The Israelis would have been fully justified sinking those ships. Instead, they merely directed them to an Israeli port to be inspected for weaponry.

I realize that none of this convinces you, because the bottom lone is that you essentially think Israel is illegitimate and has no right of self defense.

Fine by me, but you can't expect them to agree with you.

Or most patriotic Americans either, considering what an important ally Israel is to the US.

As for the Arab world hating us..lots of them refer to Israel as the Little Satan and us as the big one.

Play a game with me here..imagine you got your wish and Israel magically disappeared.

That going to end Iran's illegal nuke program? al-Qaeda, Hizb-al-Tarir, Hezbollah and Hamas going to go out of business? The Sudan going to stop enslaving and killing blacks in Darfur? Women in Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Jordan, etc. going to have an ounce more of freeedom? No more honor killings or clitorectomies? Syria and Iran going to stop fomenting Islamist terrorism in the region?

With Israel gone, Hamas takes over. You like the idea of a nuclear armed Iran having a port on the Mediterranean? Think you'll be safer then?

You really think the US is going to be immune to Islamist terrorism because we deep sixed one of our best allies? Or is it going to embolden them?

    Think about it.

    Regards,
    Rob
