Sharron Angle Catches Harry Reid In Nevada Senate Race Polls

http://www.solidprinciples.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2010/06/SharronAngle1.jpg

After amateurishly blowing an 11% lead right after the primary, Nevada Senate Republican candidate Sharron Angle has come back in a big way to a tie with Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid as the race heads into its last six weeks. The survey of likely voters in Nevada shows both candidates with 47% of the vote each.

When you count leaners (people who initially indicate no preference for either of the candidates but answer a follow-up question and say they are leaning towards a particular candidate) Angle's numbers go up to 50% versus 48% for Reid.

Where neither candidate is viewed favorably ( and both have high negatives, Reid because of his embrace f the Obama agenda and Angle because of millions in negative ads run by Reid before she got her act together)the numbers on the actual issues like ObamaCare and tax cuts strongly favor Angle, which signifies that even people who don't particularly care for her will likely hold their noses and vote fo rher come November.

And even more interesting, not only do Rasmussen's numbers show swelling support for angle, she just picked up an important endorsement.

Sarah Palin has reportedly endorsed her.

“She’s got GUTS and is putting up with more crap than she deserves because the libs don’t know what to do with her and the support she has,” Palin said in a e-mail.

Aside from the idea of booting the despicable Harry Reid out of the Senate, I find Sharron Angle refreshingly honest and personable, even if I don't agree with her on everything. I'd love to see her in the Senate, especially given the alternative.

The majority of Nevadans simply hate Harry Reid. This has gone from a loss to a close but salvageable pickup for the GOP.

Residents of Nevada, with one of the highest foreclosure and unemployment rates in the country, have no choice but to vote for Angle. This is the best of the worst. Reid and Obama wrecked havoc on Nevada, inpaticular Las Vegas, and anything is better than this duo. Personally, just visiting Vegas again, and having the money for the vacation, is worth seeing Angle win. If Reid wins, it is lose, lose for all of us in America.

  2. Oh, I agree. But I have to admit, I find something endearing about Sharron Angle. She's so non-polished, so non-politico and so earnest that even if I don't agree with all her views I find the thought of someone like her in the senate appealing.

    Especially given the alternative.
