Another Rising GOP Star: South Dakota's Kristi Noem

http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4077/4902491126_d6daa64028.jpg

She's a rancher, a 38-year-old mother of three, and a staunch conservative who is running for congress on a platform of slashing federal spending and repealing ObamaCare. She's raised more campaign cash than any Republican house challenger in the country, $1.1 million over the past three months, about twice as much as her opponent, Rep. Stephanie Herseth-Sandlin (D-SD).

And Kristi Noem's running in a Red state where Obama is, shall we say, not exactly popular.Well, even less popular then he is elsewhere.

Her opponent is from an old line establishment Democrat family, is relatively conservative and voted against ObamaCare...although as kristi Noem points out often, "When you really start looking and pointing out her voting record, she is voting with Nancy Pelosi 9 out of 10 times."

"I'm a firm believer that South Dakotans know better what to do with their money than the government does."

The numbers? Rasmussen shows Noem up by three and trending upwards.

This is a close but winnable race.

Sarah Palin was definitely on to something. Obama and his policies have definitely roused the ire of the Mama Grizzlies concerned about the future of their children in Barack Hussein Obama's Brave New World. And they're doing something about it.

This is definitely the year of the rise of the conservative woman!

please donate...it helps me write more gooder!

just so you don't think i'm intentionally picking on the folks from SD, this from a rasmussen related article regarding oklahoma 3:

On the whole Boren's clearly done a good job of differentiating how his constituents feel about him personally from how they feel about his party. 70% of his district disapproves of the job Congressional Democrats are doing. But most of them are planning to vote for him anyway."

    you see that number?
70% disagree with the job congress is doing but they're gonna send him back anyway.
he is part of the reason pelosi is in the position she is.
70% of the people in the eastern 1/3 of oklahoma are dumber than a sack of hair.

to bastardize what justice pettigrew said of south carolina:
SE oklahoma is too small to be a republic, and too large to be an insane asylum.

  3. Hi Louie,
Actually, Boren represents Oklahoma 2...OK 3 is represented Frank Lucas, a Republican.

I live in California..you're talking to me about an insane asylum? You're talking to me about dumber than a sack of hair?

I also note that Boren voted against ObamaCare, closing Gitmo and significant other parts of the Obama agenda. So he's relatively sane.

    Regards,
    Rob

he also voted for the stimulus measure before he criticized it.
    sound familiar?
    old habits die hard/slowly.
for my first 47 years that was oklahoma 3, just like the big 8 football conference.
    buh bye......
i'm not used to having a communist president either.
