A Little Flashback - Senator Obama On Raising The Debt Ceiling
“The fact that we are here today to debate raising America ’s debt limit is a sign of leadership failure.... It is a sign that the U.S. Government can’t pay its own bills. It is a sign that we now depend on ongoing financial assistance from foreign countries to finance our Government’s reckless fiscal policies. … Leadership means that ‘the buck stops here.’ Instead, Washington is shifting the burden of bad choices today onto the backs of our children and grandchildren. America has a debt and a failure of leadership. Americans deserve better. I therefore intend to oppose the effort to increase America ’s debt limit.” -Sen. Barack Obama, D-Ill.
To the president's supporters - It ain't about running the stop sign. It's all about who's driving, isn't it?
That's Obama for you! Pure hypocrisy.
ReplyDeleteRemember, he inherited this from Bush and his gang.
ReplyDeleteMaybe you just don't like that there's a Black man who is president now.
anon@6:22
ReplyDeletehilarious.
cut and paste.
don't comment on the posting.
cut and paste.
your second statement is factually incorrect.
he's not black.
he's half white.
and we don't like that half either.
he chose to live in the black community, you know, just like you chose to be stupid.
neat how that works, huh.
Senator Obama was right. Now if as anon says he inherited all of this from Bush, then it would have made allot more sense to discontinue the policies of Bush. Instead in regards to deficit spending we have the equivelant of former President Bush on steroids.
ReplyDeleteWhen cleaning up a mess, say spilled punch. The first thing we do is to begin mopping up or wiping up the mess. We do not spill more punch on the floor and then blame someone else. Essentially all Mr. Obama has done in the deficit spending area is add to the mess.
well said B.
ReplyDeleteanon@6:22 has nothing else to say except for the race baiting cut and paste provided to him.
my statement would have been this is bush's third term. but that is what hussein said we would get with mccain.
that ought to make anon@6:22 happy to know.
just like ff said about running the stop sign.
hussein's gitmo policy.
bush's.
hussein's stimulus policy.
bush's.
hussein's iraq policy.
bush's.
hussein's afghanistan policy.
bush's.
i wonder if anon@6:22 can explain to us why "bush" got us involved in libya earlier this year?
and when pray tell, was that involvement debated in congress?
none of that matters.
Maybe you just don't like that there's a Black man who is president now.
clear on that?
