Norwegian Ambassador : The Oslo Attacks And Palestinian Terrorism Are 'Different'
I've long been aware that Norway is one of the most anti-Semitic countries in Europe, but this is a rather unique bit of supremely ugly hypocrisy.
In an interview with the Israeli daily Maariv, Norway's ambassador to Israel Svein Sevje patiently explained that he wanted to "outline the similarity and the difference in the two cases."
Palestinians, the ambassador told Maariv, "are doing this because of a defined goal that is related to the Israeli occupation. There are elements of revenge against Israel and hatred of Israel. To this you can add the religious element to their actions."
"In the case of the terror attack in Norway, the murderer had an ideology that says that Norway, particularly the Labor Party, is forgoing Norwegian culture," Sevje said, referring to Anders Breivik.
"We Norwegians consider the occupation to be the cause of the terror against Israel," he said. "Those who believe this will not change their mind because of the attack in Oslo."
This came after Israel was one of the foirst countries to reach out to Norway after the attacks and offer its condolences and assistance.
Norway, by the way, actively engages with Hamas, an organization that openly preaches genocide against Jews worldwide, not just in Israel. And according to the Ambassador, Israel 'engaging' with Hamas is a necessity.
I'm sure Ambassador Sevje would not have spoken to the press unless his remarks had been cleared by his government. And in view of that, I think it's worth my mentioning something I had planned on letting go by, out of sympathy for the victims of the Oslo killings.
The fact is, the youth gathering on Utøya Island sponsored by the ruling Norwegian Labor had an anti-Semitic rally aimed at deligitimizing Israel as a major component.
The photo above was taken on the island was taken the day before the killings. It shows Norway's Foreign Minister, Jonas Gahr Store en route to address the Labor Party youth. And what did he have to say to them? That the Palestinians "must have their own state, the occupation must end, the wall must be demolished and it must happen now," said the Foreign Minister to cheers from the audience.
Yes, Norway's foreign minister wants Israel's defensive barrier destroyed, to make it easier for homicide bombers to kill Jews.
And it didn't end there. The main activity at the Utøya Island Meeting were mock "Break the Israel blockade" games. In one event , Palestinian aid boats would try to break the Israeli blockade, with whoever gets through first as the winner. The sign says "defeat the blockade" (opphev blokkaden - Gaza).
In fact, Norway's Labor Youth are noted for their vociferous anti-Israel activities, with the fond approval of their elders for the most part.
Glenn Beck may have been a little over the top, but he wasn't too far off in referring to the Utøya Island gathering as 'kind of like a Hitler Youth meeting."
Am I saying that the Labor Youth deserved to be shot down and murdered? Not at all. And based on his 'manifesto' the killer or killers had very little sympathy for Israel. Quite the reverse, in fact. But given that the victims of the Oslo killings and their government support groups that seek the genocide of Jews, let's just say I'm not overly consumed with sorrow for them.
When you negate someone else's humanity, you open up a door. And you have to live with what comes out of it.
That sort of reasoning is almost enough to make me want to see a Palestinian suicide bomber take out the Norwegian embassy.
ReplyDeleteI invite you to watch this and hopefully see that there is violence on both sides, which was started by poor handling by the allied forces in 1945 Palestine. Followed by the Jewish people demanding territory owned by Arabs, so territory which was not there's except by some cock and bull story made up by some insane desert preacher. Israel is not the Jew's to take; and for them to then attack Palestinians in occupied Palestine makes it impossible for them not to retaliate.
ReplyDeleteI don't believe that i can convince you, but what you are preaching is sick, twisted and wrong.
Hello Anonymous.
ReplyDeleteI posted your comment, but I eliminated to the link to the propaganda you posted, although I did watch some of it.It was not only factually challenged, but despicable.
Frankly, your viewpoint is the thing that's 'sick, twisted and wrong' as you put it.
It espouses moral equivalence that says that the murder of Israeli civilians is somehow justified. It negates the continued Jewish presence in Israel and insists they have no rights there. It supports Arab genocide against Jews, which was going on long before Israel was a state. And it also assumes the 'Palestinians' have a nationality ( when there were no 'Palestinians' before 1967) and the 'right' to self-determination and that the Jews don't.And you whine over the plight of Arab refugees, many of whom left by choice without a single feeling over the almost 1 million Jews ethnically cleansed from the Arab world.
I have no intention of convincing you either. One doesn't 'convince people who are the victims of irrationality.
In short, you're a Jew hater in every sense of the word, and that's not at all a term I throw out lightly.Nor does it matter if you say hello to your Jewish co-worker every morning or if you happen to be of Jewish descent yourself.
It's because of people like you that a strong, powerful Israel is an absolute necessity.
You ought to be ashamed.

Dont bother Anon. Rob knows as much of Norwegian culture/politics as he do about the conflict in Israel/Palestine.
ReplyDeleteNo historical facts, just the regular garbage right wing media likes to try and convince the "not so bright" part of the people.
Critisizing Israel is not the same as being anti-semitic, as is not critisizing islam, racism. Although the last is much closer linked.
I would think your understanding of social structures in the world carries no background from University or college Rob. Just what you read on various blogs you find appeal to your ignorant ways.
Read a book written by a neutral historian or something. Learn something. Dont be such a fool. People like you dumb down the world and it annoys the shit out of most of us.
Please go fuck yourself you lying crazy assed red-neck asshole. People like you just do not deserve to live.
ReplyDeleteI forgive you for not beeing human. More than 80 childrens eyes have lost their glare, and you dare to utter this shit. I forgive you for beeing ignorant to a mass murderers actions. I hope you forgive yourself some day. Whatever strange that tweaks your brain.
ReplyDeleteI cannot forgive myself for wasting my time on you.
A) I can live without your forgiveness.
ReplyDeleteB) I definitely don't forgive you for supporting genocide of Israel's Jews
C) I heartily encourage you to crawl back under that rock and waste your time elsewhere.

Typical ZioNazi garbage. Long live Palestine!
ReplyDeleteYou know what the joke is Rob? They prove your point, about exactly why Israel's needed. It's because of some of the people who are commenting on this board.
ReplyDeleteNorway is a country where the hating Jews is rampant. There are only about 1,000 Jews left in the country, the main synagogue in Oslo has been shot at and has to be guarded around the clock by the police.
ReplyDeleteNorway also makes the slaughtering of Kosher meat illegal, but allows Muslims to slaughtering and make Halal meat and butchering of whales and seals.
How could you know about what happened to some children somewhere in the world who were brutely killed and not have strong feelings that what happened is compelety wrong, and no matter what their beliefs are! What makes you different from Breivik??! Nothing!
ReplyDeleteTotally shocked from ur logic in this post! My god!
I didn't see anything in this post where the writer says it wasn't wrong, or that it's OK to kill children. In fact, he says it is wrong - second to the last paragraph.
ReplyDeleteAnd you comparing him with Breivak is just stupid.
What he says is that the Norwegian government are advocating things that would result in killing Israeli children, and that they're a bunch of hypocrites. They did it on this island camp.
He's right. I agree with him. How come you're not angry about that?
well "tantric logic", he ended the post with this! saying in full mouth they deserved it "given that the victims of the Oslo killings and their government support groups that seek the genocide of Jews, let's just say I'm not overly consumed with sorrow for them.
ReplyDeleteWhen you negate someone else's humanity, you open up a door. And you have to live with what comes out of it"
The same logic of how killers or terrorists justify their action! please tell me how is it different?!!
Hello Anonymous,
ReplyDeleteI suspect that like many people, you hear what you want to hear and read what you want to read.Let mew help you out a little:
Am I saying that the Labor Youth deserved to be shot down and murdered? Not at all. And based on his 'manifesto' the killer or killers had very little sympathy for Israel. Quite the reverse, in fact. But given that the victims of the Oslo killings and their government support groups that seek the genocide of Jews, let's just say I'm not overly consumed with sorrow for them.
Perhaps that may help.
According to your logic, I'm no better than a terrorist. Hard to fathom, since I'm not advocating murder against anyone, but merely pointing out that advocating for murderers like Hamas carries certain consequences.
But let's take your rather turgid logic a step further. If I'm a 'terrorist for simply pointing this out, than it's obvious that to be consistent you ( not me) would have to say that the leadership of the Norwegian Labor Party and their youth movement are 'terrorists' for shilling for Hamas and advocating actions that will result in the murder of Jews in Israel.
Again, since you apparently don't read with comprehension I'm not saying that. You are, based on your comments.
And to echo the previous commenter, If Norway's government is engaging in moral equivalency when it comes to the murder of Israeli children by 'Palestinians' and encouraging policies that would result in more of the same, where's your outrage for that?
Or is it maybe, you know, different because they're Jews?
-Rob-
pretty pathetic some of these comments. disturbing lack of rationality or consistency. the scarcely concealed snarl just waiting to bare its teeth...
ReplyDeletemy question to you is about your comment that he's not particularly pro-israel. that certainly not what the left-wing press is saying. can you elaborate? what sections of his 1500 page text are relevant?
Dr. Landes,
ReplyDeleteWhat an honor and pleasure to have you drop by!
First, to answer your question, let's backtrack just a bit. I am not at all convinced that Anders Behring Breivik is a 'far right Christian fundamentalist'. In fact, I think this is the mother of all false flag ops. Ask the question cui bono, who benefits?
Much of his manifesto was cut and pasted from a similar document put out by Ted Kaczynski, the Unabomber but the parts that aren't speak quite openly about the futility of allying with democratic countries and organizations and the desirability of allying with Islamist groups like al-Qaeda and al-Shabaab and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
The manifesto states, "The PCCTS, Knights Templar will for the future consider working with the enemies of the EU/US hegemony such as Iran (South Korea is unlikely), al-Qaeda, al-Shabaab or the rest of the devout fractions of the Islamic Ummah with the intention for deployment of small nuclear, radiological, biological or chemical weapons in Western European capitals and other high priority locations."
Not exactly a pro-Israel bunch!
Again, a caveat. As I prove here, Breivik definitely was not working alone, and a good part of the paper trail appears to have been manufactured either while the attacks were close to being launched or while Breivik was already in custody.
While there are a few remarks in the document that could be construed as pro-Israel, those mostly date from before some very obvious changes were made.
Regards,
Rob
Another thought..given that Breivik was willing to work with Islamists, who says he wasn't working with them in the Oslo Attacks?
ReplyDeleteRegards,
Rob
