ObamaLie: 'Nobody Accused Romney Of Being A Felon'
President Obama finally deigned to take a few questions from the White House press corps today, and predictably, one of them dealt with the bottom feeding, filthy campaign he's running.
“Nobody accused Mr. Romney of being a felon,” President Obama said during a rare conversation with the White House press corps today.
Obama was defending his campaign from charges that he is being too negative. “We point out sharp differences between the candidates, but we don’t go out of bounds,” he added.
Let's see now...here's Obama's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter, a little over a month ago:
"Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony, or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people to avoid responsibility for some of the consequences of his investments."
And the White House didn't distance itself from those remarks then, or now.
So far, the Obama Campaign or its surrogates has accused Mitt Romney of being a tax cheat, a felon, a murderer and someone who wants to put blacks back in chains. They've even evoked Governor Romney's dead father, suggesting he would be ashamed of his son's behavior. Not to mention what already appears to be illegal coordination by the Obama Campaign with the primary pro-Obama super PAC.
None of this has ever been disavowed by the Obama campaign. As a matter of fact, the president himself is using Harry Reid's line, alluding to how Romney's dead father would be ashamed of Governor Romney's actions.
For President Obama to openly lie - and there is no other, more polite word for it - in front of a bunch of reporters who know he's lying it not only the height of arrogance and cynicism, but blatant disrespect for every journalist in that room.
I have to wonder if any of them are going to write this up honestly, just to be able to look in the mirror.
