Muslim Who Accused Israel Of 9/11 Attack Is Official US Rep At Int'l Conference

 Salam al-Marayati / mpac.org

The Obama Administration has chosen Salam al-Marayati to represent America at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) cofererence in Warsaw, Poland.

Al-Marayati is the head of the Muslim Public Affairs Council, a Muslim Brotherhood front group, more proof if any was needed on how pervasive the Islamist influence is in the Obama Administration.

Al-Marayati publicly blamed Israel for the 9/11 attacks, and he has a long and execrable history of defending and apologizing for terrorism, using the usual sophistry that the activities of groups like Hamas and a Hezbollah are 'legitimate resistance' rather than terrorism. That includes, by the way, statements written by al-Marayati excusing the 1983 Hezbollah attack in Lebanon that murdered 241 U.S. Marines as 'legitimate resistance.' The MPAC has also been very public about calling for the removal of genocidal groups like Hamas and Hezbollah from the official U.S. list of terrorist groups.

He was also a major fundraiser for convicted terrorist Sami al-Arian, Palestinian Islamic Jihad's own man in America and has been a major voice urging American Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI or law enforcement in domestic counter terrorism efforts.

And what is the subject of the speech this man, specifically chosen by the White House is going to give? According to MPAC's web site, to excuse Islamist violence against Americans and others because “hate speech that intends to degrade, intimidate, or incite violence against someone based on religion is harmful."

Apparently no one in the Obama Administration saw anything wrong with that, and our embassy in Poland released a statement lauding al-Marayati.

The contempt this appointment shows for all American, but for the majority of American Muslims and Jews in particular, is astounding. If the Obama Administration is willing to do something this outrageous when there's a tight election going on, one can only imagine what their behavior will be like if Presidrnt Obama gets a second term.

I would urge American Jews in particular who simply can't bring themselves to vote for a pro-Israel Republican not to vote to put Barack Hussein Obama back in the White House.  Simply don't cast a vote for president. That's exactly what my own parents, rabid Democrats,  did in 1972 and 1980.

They couldn't bring themselves to vote for Nixon or Reagan, but they saw clearly that voting for McGoivern and Carter were acts of self-hatred.

Think about it.

"...one can only imagine what their behavior will be like if President Obama gets a second term." For all that is known for certain, Muslim groups make up a VERY powerful special interest group. As such, the President's advisors may feel they need to be pandered to during election season. As such, if safely in office for a second term and without having to worry about reelection, Mr. Obama may come down especially tough on Islamists and their enablers. Essentially he may do precisely the opposite of what you suggest.

Now with that said I think your analysis is spot on but it is not known for certain. What is certain is the extreme power held by Islamic groups at all levels of the American government and the media. As such, if reelected Mr. Obama may not need to worry so much about them during a second term.

Furthermore with all due respect we do not know for certain that Mr. Romney is "pro-Israel." As I've pointed out here and elsewhere a number of times, most American political leaders begin their careers as pro-Israel. Unfortunately pressure placed upon them by important stakeholders throughout the US and the world typically cause them to move away from a pro-Israel position over time. Only the ones with the greatest character can remain pro-Israel over time. Most fail the test. Does Mr. Romney have this kind of character? We don't know yet. As such, it is premature to cast him as "pro-Israel."
