Found!! The Great White Defendant!!

 http://atlantablackstar.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/11/michael-dunn-jordan-russell-davis.jpg

The Left and race pimps everywhere are ecstatic. Eureka, they finally have what they been looking for, the Great White Defendant and they're using it with obscene glee to attack the traditional American right of self defense, gun ownership, the State of Florida, whites in general and to proclaim yet again that America is a racist country where 'it's open season on black young men.'

Unlike with George Zimmerman, they don't have to openly lie, manufacture anything, edit tapes of 9/11 calls or threaten to riot this time, although at least one black commentator calls black on white crime 'a myth'' and has essentially told blacks to shoot whites first and ask questions later.

This is everything the Trayvon Martin case was not, although of course they have to pretend that it isn't. They finally found an instance of white on black crime where the defendant was not only vicious, but inexcusably stupid and inhumane.

Michael Dunn is a 47-year-old software designer who stopped at a convenience store in Jacksonville, Florida the day after Thanksgiving. 2012 with his girlfriend, coming home from a wedding. He parked, his girlfriend went inside and by chance, he parked next to a Dodge Durango with four black teenagers inside, blasting rap at top volume.

Most of us have had the experience of driving by or being stopped next to a vehicle doing this, and normally the occupants (who are by no means necessarily black) have the thing tricked out with loud after market amplifiers and subwoofers to 'share the music' with the rest of us, frequently while they wear earplugs to reduce the noise to their own ears. It isn't a crime, but it is astoundingly rude, and a few cities even prohibit doing it as noise pollution and issue fines if the perps get caught.

Most of us simply grimace and drive on by, and that's the end of it. But Michael Dunn? Instead of simply avoiding the situation by going into the store with his girlfriend or moving his car,he made an issue out of it.

He apparently asked the kids in the Durango to turn down what he described later as “ridiculously, obnoxiously loud thug music” and “rap crap” and apparently someone in the car complied, but turned it back up again when the others in the Durango complained.

So what does Dunn do? He gets into a shouting match with the black kids in the Durango, claims he saw what looked like 'a gun barrel or a stick' coming out of the window, took his 9mm Taurus out of the glove compartment and fired into the car. And when the kids in the Durango pull out and flee, he gets out of his car and fires several more shots at the car...without any idea who else might have been inside or what he was aiming at.

Then, instead of at least calling the police and waiting for them to arrive, he waits for his girlfriend and just drives away, like it was, you know, just business as usual. He was too dumb (or perhaps too callous) to even think that there would probably be witnesses, that someone would call the cops and that they just might have gotten his plate number. They arrested him the next day.Needless to say, no trace of any weapon other than Dunn's was found, and there's no evidence of anything except a shouting match - one that Dunn instigated.

Meanwhile three of those shots he fired off hit 17-year-old Jordan Davis, and one of them killed him.As tragic as that is, it could have even been worse, given how Dunn was shooting at random. It's a miracle and a blessing that no one else was hit, although I'm sure Davis' family and friends understandably might not see it that way.

Michael Dunn was charged with one count of first-degree murder, three counts of attempted first-degree murder and one count of shooting into an occupied vehicle. The first degree murder charge was totally misapplied again due to political pressure by local prosecutor Angela Corey, whom did the same thing in the Trayvon Martin case. What Dunn did was stupid, indefensible and highly criminal, but it was not premeditated and even a first year law student knows that murder two would have been the right charge.

So it goes to trial, and guess what? Dunn claims self-defense (It obviously wasn't but I mean, what else could he say?), and his lawyers, whose job after all is to defend him go along with the fiction.

End result? The jury understandably deadlocked on the charge of first-degree murder, but found Dunn guilty of second-degree attempted murder and shooting into a car. The dance, of course will continue. Dunn's lawyer says he will appeal, more than likely with the idea of some kind of plea bargain. The prosecutor says she will try Dunn again for murder.Meanwhile, what Dunn was convicted of is good for at least 50 years in prison, effectively a life sentence given his age. He richly deserves it.

But justice isn't the question here, and neither, really, is Michael Dunn. This is about racial politics, dividing the country for political gain and putting America on trial, and the Atlantic's own race hustler Ta-Hanisi Coates is at least honest enough to admit it:

My son has a father and mother. We cannot protect him from our country, which is our aegis and our assailant. We cannot protect our children because racism in America is not merely a belief system but a heritage, and the inability of black parents to protect their children is an ancient tradition.

(cue the obligatory slavery reference and ignore the fact that it was Those Evil Whites who fought a brutal war to stop it and have spent billions of dollars in what amounts to reparations for the benefit of slavery's descendants)

Spare us the invocations of "black-on-black crime." I will not respect the lie. I would rather be thought insane. The most mendacious phrase in the American language is "black-on-black crime," which is uttered as though the same hands that drew red lines around the ghettoes of Chicago are not the same hands that drew red lines around the life of Jordan Davis, as though black people authored North Lawndale and policy does not exist. That which mandates the murder of our Hadiya Pendletons necessarily mandates the murder of Jordan Davis. I will not respect any difference. I will not respect the lie. I would rather be thought crazy.

Well, if you insist on being thought crazy, Ta-Hanesi.But based on the statistics and a lot of black commentators with an interest in looking at things honestly rather than fanning the racial flames,  black on black crime is a sobering  reality. You simply can't blame Evil White Folks for everything, enjoyable as that might be.

Oh wait, there's more:

I insist that the irrelevance of black life has been drilled into this country since its infancy, and shall not be extricated through the latest innovations in Negro Finishing School. I insist that racism is our heritage, that Thomas Jefferson's genius is no more important than his plundering of the body of Sally Hemmings, that George Washington's abdication is no more significant than his wild pursuit of Oney Judge. I insist that the G.I Bill's accolades are inseparable from its racist heritage. I will not respect the lie. I insist that racism must be properly understood as an Intelligence, as a sentience, as a default setting to which, likely until the end of our days, we unerringly return.

Then there's the Politico's Left Wing Mandarin, Roger Simon, who expands it a bit, asking, "But who are the real thugs? The unarmed black kids who play loud music or walk to stores to buy Skittles? Or the white guys who are armed to the teeth and quick on the trigger?"

Gotta get that gun confiscation plug in there, right? And never mind that Dunn ignored virtually every gun safety rule you get taught when you train to use a firearm.

You see, it's white America that's on trial..not Michael Dunn.

Just imagine the outcry  if whites did that to blacks because of say, these characters? Or this one? or perhaps this one? Or literally dozens I or anyone else could easily find, simply because black on white crime is far more common than white on black crime? Would White America be justified in putting black America on trial? I don't think so, but Ta-Hanisi Coates, Brittany Cooper and people that think like they do obviously feel that this kind of reasoning is just fine when it's one way.

You see, it's only 'racism' when it's applied in the direction they prefer, where white  people are judged on race and not by their actions. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., if memory serves me had something to say about that. But it would be lost on those celebrating the discovery of the Great White Defendent, which enables them to accuse America.

And among other things, it allows them to make a living and feed their own inherent racism.

Sorry. No sale. I'm not taking the rap, and no one else should either..except Michael Dunn.
