The Real Story On Why An NFL Quarterback Refused To Stand For The National Anthem
San Francisco 49er's quarterback Colin Kaepernick, pictured above has a new 'protest'...refusing to stand for America's national anthem:
“I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color.”
"To me, this is bigger than football and it would be selfish on my part to look the other way. There are bodies in the street and people getting paid leave and getting away with murder."
The 49er's, of course, came out with an incredibly PC response to this:
"The national anthem is and always will be a special part of the pre-game ceremony. It is an opportunity to honor our country and reflect on the great liberties we are afforded as its citizens. In respecting such American principles as freedom of religion and freedom of expression, we recognize the right of an individual to choose and participate, or not, in our celebration of the national anthem."
Now, the fact that 'people of color' have more rights under the law, more freedom and more economic opportunities in America than almost any other country on earth is something I suppose we can just ignore...Colin Kaepernick obviously has!
And I'm sure Colin Kaepernick's adoptive family of Typical White People might not want to weigh in on this either.
But there’s a little more to the story that the media and the NFL will avoid at all costs, because it explains the real reason Mr.Kaepernick has suddenly come out with the idea of inflicting his agenda publicly on the fans. And the media and the NFL have no intention of it coming out if they can help it.
As the French wisely say, Cherchez la femme, look for the woman.
In this case, the woman is hip-hop radio personality DJ Nessa Diab. She's a Berkeley grad, a very dogmatic outspoken Black Lives Matter advocate and a Muslim. She and Colin Kaepernick are engaged, and Kaepernick converted to Islam during the off season.
The two are reportedly planning what Kaepernick calls 'a traditional Muslim wedding.'
Pretty simple...boy meets radical girl, they find they have interests and ideology in common...except,it's haram, forbidden for a Muslima (a Muslim girl) to marry a non-believer. This is not to say that Kaepernick wasn't pretty far along the radical path anyway.
It's a real love story...not only do they love the same things, but they can hate the same people too. There are certainly a fair amount of patriotic American Muslims, but many Muslims here follow the Qu'ran which says their first loyalty aside from Allah is to the umma, the worldwide Muslim polity. And no one with much common sense would call the folks at Black Lives Matter remotely patriotic. So it all fits together pretty well.
Another part of the back story is that both Kaepernick and Nessa Diab have been agitating the 49er's to trade Kaepernick to New York, where Diab is based. Ideology aside, this might be Kaepernick's way of adding some fuel to the fire.
The 49er's have obviously made a business decision to keep Kaepernick on their roster and, with the collusion of the media, to keep this part of the story covered up. That's fine, but it is a business decision. And although I have to admit that if I felt that way about America I'd vote with my principles and leave, Colin Kaepernick also certainly has the right not to honor the flag of the country that has treated him so well.
But football fans can also make a decision...like boycotting the 49er's and any subsequent team they might trade Kaepernick to until he's history. Now, that's freedom too, isn't it? Based on the 49er's puerile statement, I'm sure they'd agree.
There are very few countries where Colin Kaepernick and his Muslima bride to be would be so blessed to earn a living and live in the lifestyle to which they are accustomed courtesy of the Red, White & Blue and while it is their right thanks to this great nation and those who fight to keep America the land of the free, one can only hope that some force out of their control will someday humble these ungrateful elitist fools.
ReplyDeleteForgive me. I'm merely exercising my right to call them by that which they are.
Right on bydesign001
DeleteWell said.
DeleteWhere else would an NFL team tolerate this fool's behavior (Cops-Are-Pigs socks, etc.) except San Francisco which, along with Berkley, is the self-proclaimed home of radical liberalism. I'm pretty sure the team and the NFL can fine him for the non-uniform appropriate socks; but, they'd likely face the scorn of one of their largest tv markets ... the entire Bay Area and most of the "left coast"!
DeleteYou do not need forgiveness to ask for His will to be done!
DeleteWow! Good for you Rob to dig and find the whole story. I was surprised by his stance because I remember him as being a fairly open Christian, and his BLM stand seemed inconsistent with that. Now that he's Muslim . . . well, it all makes sense.
ReplyDeleteHe and other Black, rich sports players could use their money to build schools so these young men can get an education, or use their money to start a business here where they can work.
ReplyDeleteBut just like Hollywood, they prefer to give their money to politicians.
Colin Kaepernick and the rest of his klan pushing Black Lives Matter meme have no interest in making a difference. It's all about them. Most rappers and Black professional sports players have no interest in reaching out to young men Black in urban America.
ReplyDeleteOf course, they'll do a little something but again, it's to soothe their ego.
I also suspect that Kaepernick has an ulterior motive like throwing the race card out there should he find himself cut from the team. Timing as they say is everything.
Deport them all, let them live under the conditions and rules they want to impose here. Pretty sure no other country will pay them what they make here as suicidal camel jockeys don't make that much, as the positions are always temp..........and then they meet their maker.
ReplyDeleteBy far, the most radical muslim is the "recent convert", due to feeling they have to prove their worthiness to their newly adopted moon god.
ReplyDeleteInitially, I just considered him to be another spoiled little piss ant. But, thanks to this article, I can now truthfully include him on America's list of radical Islamic destroyers of our way of life. No defensive "hit" on him will be too vicious for me from now on. And, hopefully, one of them will be of sufficient quality to enable him to permanently lie flat on his back for every National Anthem that follows. There, now - I feel better, hehe.
ReplyDeleteDear Colin:
ReplyDeleteYou have insulted me and all American service men/women. I put my life on the line when I served in the US Air Force. Twenty one of my squadron mates died doing what they felt was right for their country and which gives and protects your first amendment rights. These brave people came home under caskets draped with the American flag. You have the audacity to insult all our military by your stupid, ignorant so called demonstration. What is next in your Muslim conversion….supporting jihad?
I suggest you and your lady friend get the hell out of America. Go to a Muslim country that practices Sharia. You might rethink your actions when it’s too late to come back. Shame on you!
I further this comment-my children served in Iraq, and lost themselves-our service personnel give up way to much for our country-to have this blasphemy thrown in their faces!!
DeleteI am a veteran of the Viet Nam war and a reserve U.S. Airforce pilot. I am no longer a 49ers fan. I was a solid fan during the Montana, Lott, Rice years and loved to watch every game. No longer will I be a fan of a team that dishonors my country by supporting Kaepernick.
ReplyDeleteI WILL BE BURNING MY HATS AND OTHER CLOTHING WITH 49ER LOGOS ON THEM. GO SEAHAWKS!
She does not dress like a Muslim!!!!
ReplyDeleteAfter watching his performance last night, the York's need to do the right thing. And that would be to "Free up his Future " to pursue things that really matter to him! If you do like the police way not make the sacrifice like many fine Warriors who died for this great country, and become a police man! Change is good!
ReplyDeleteBeing a football player, you would think he would be familiar with the term "pigskin"! Wonder how that is going to set with his Muslim bride to be?
ReplyDeleteThought he might have been sitting on the bench practicing for his role during regular season....lol
ReplyDeletePracice for the regular season?
ReplyDeleteWith his new look, beard, hair; he bears an uncanny resemblance to Usama bin laden, an Arab.
ReplyDeleteThe First Amendment gives you the right to say what you want, it does not protect you from the social consequences of what you say.
ReplyDeleteWell, I understand all the rhetoric and the reasonable rights expressed but to coin the true feeling I think is most prevalent, "F" him and the horse he rode in on!
ReplyDeleteOhhh. Now that explains that Goofy 1970's Afro the Brother is sporting !
ReplyDeleteYour right, he does have the right not to stand, but the coach has the right to keep him in the locker room until after the national anthem has ended. Until someone deals with this from the 49er's home office I for one will not attend nor watch another NFL game.
ReplyDeleteBob T.
That sounds like a great idea Bob T. Why couldn't the coach keep him in the locker room during the National Anthem?
DeleteIt’s easy. Cut him. Let him waive thru all other teams (no one would touch him now) then push him off on the CFL. Let the Saskatchewan R R’s pick him up for their minimums. He will ride the frozen bench for a few years until he can’t fit his Afro into a helmut and his Muzzie squeeze sez “see ya”
ReplyDeleteWhat an A Hole !
He is not worthy of recognition. Ignore him and he will become just another goofus.
ReplyDeleteJust another sniveler whining about anything he can find tot be "offended" by.
ReplyDeleteLet him whine, he's making his own bed.
The more press he gets the more he's encouraged to keep crying.
Ignore him.
He won't go away, but we ALL have better things to spend our valuable time on.
ReplyDeleteIs not his first name spelled .... COLON
Indicating what his mind is full of.....
disobey = no pussy.
ReplyDeleteAs for her, she is either all Muslim or not....there's no half-way Muslims.
And since she is supporting hip-hop, she must radical Islam.
He'll have everone like him burning the flag and shooting cops all over again. If he hates military and police so much he needs to go fight with isis
ReplyDeleteHe'll be lucky to get a job in the Arena League. Whats GM in his right mind would want this guy?
ReplyDeleteHis arms are covered with Bible quotes! I suppose he could cut them off...sort of like Muslims do.
ReplyDeleteIf she cheats on him will she be beheaded or stoned?
ReplyDeleteI'm genuinely curious. Maybe a pre-nuptial agreement is called for.
He complains about blacks being oppresed in America, a country where we have a black President, black Attorney General, black Supreme Court Justice, black Senators, Congressmen, and Mayors. All this from an NFL quarterback that got a 7 year contract of $114,000,000.00! Cry me a river!!!
ReplyDeleteIt's time that we start standing up to these ass holes. If they don't like it here, get the hell out.
ReplyDeleteMr. Kaepernick is a real threat to the kids that look up to a NFL Q'Back. This isn't about footbal. Indeed, it's a terror threat that will get results long after Mr Kaepernick is long in his grave. Again, the Muslim way of life is the choice of this very RICH couple. Perhaps this story will end happily when these two are proven to be threats to the American Way, and therefore forced to leave the country they want to convert. Maybe the real threats of shria law is the real culprit, and should be the issue of deportation by the Office the government puts in place to deal with these people. They will continue to make their topics of terror, to the people of the United States. Maybe China would be a good place for them to spread their dogmas to their people, right? It will remain to see what they will do. But, I'll bet they'll use the constitution to protect themselves against the rules of engagement.
ReplyDeleteMichael
Why not just quit talking about him and not give the attention the spoiled brat wants? Why does he and his soon to become bride move to the middle east where they can be close to Mecca and don't have to stand up for any thing american
ReplyDeleteSeriously, to any White person who still wastes their time following professional sports, especially the ones where black athletes are worshipped like gods, you are part of the problem. It's called enabling. Stop spending money on jerseys and shoes and anything else promoted/endorsed by these fools. Because that's what they think of you. Fools.
ReplyDeleteAs one of the above statements said.... he's just another "piss ant".......in a mound of......plenty!
ReplyDeleteYoung,dumb, and full of .......
ReplyDeleteTOO MANY PEOPLE DIED DEFENDING THIS AH'S FREEDOME - TOO HELL WITH HIM AND HIS TEAM. JL CHINO VALLEY, AZ
ReplyDeleteALT..........said
ReplyDeleteI am very disappointed in the 49ers stand. True WE HAVE FREEDOM OF SPEECH but there is a time and place. This comment has nothing to do with race creed or color.
Kaepernick is employed by S.F. 49ers and when he is on the clock he will do what he is there to do and will follow the standard the 49ers have set. That would be the National Anthem is played, sung, saluted before each game. This occurs all over the U.S.
He should be told to follow what the standard is by his employer when he is on the clock. When off he can pick another venue to do his political unhappiness.
Some people have taken the color thing too far. They still bring up the slaves issue. I don't know about you but myself have never had a slave and should not be punished or forced to pay for something I had nothing to do with over 100 years ago. There is also reverse discrimination which I am a victim. You don't see me demonstrating. They have black organizations at police departments that whites can't join. What would happen if there was a white organization that blacks couldn't join? Think that would fly with no complaints? This is just one of hundreds of examples . The line has to be drawn soon to let it go but the 49ers have the upper hand here if they would pursue....
OMG with a face like that it could sink a battleship. He should be thrown out of the 49ers, and all the money go to our American Soldiers, families, support Our soldiers NOT A--Hole like him and is so called wife to be she should be ousted also ugh my my skin crawl
ReplyDeleteColin Kaepernick - do not insult my intelligence by claiming this is about BLM. This is about "you", because if it were about BLM you would stand tall instead of 'one' kneeing it on the ground. You see intelligent people seek out truth - while you just flap your jaws and smile for the camera. You are NOT a role model! So let's get back to the issue of BLM: "Blacks commit homicide at a rate eight times higher that whites and Hispanics combined. Blacks are 13 percent of the population but commit 52 percent of all murders. This puts them into more tense and more regular contact with the Police." Why do you direct this towards a symbol (Flag) that has nothing to do with the oppression you speak of. While you can, instead, kneel for all those black lives that were killed by their black brothers/sisters? How do you expect kneeling for the Flag to make changes - when it is people of color that need to make the change.
ReplyDeleteYou are 'fart' in the wind, your face and actions will fade with time and you will have made no difference or change. If your really serious then tell the world you used the "N" word against a player (which you admitted to) and you were find by the NFL. )For more about Colin dig below the headlines of reputable sources.) And finally, as for your kneeling; Kneeling is a basic position of *resting; reverence - showing *high esteem, high regard, great respect; and submission. So I say to you Colin, "kneel on" and we both show our respect to our flag in different ways.
I'll be glad to buy him and his fiance' a plane ticket to Iran -of course he may take a 'slight' pay cut
ReplyDeleteand loose his freedom of speech
I am a 86 year old Korea war infantry squad leader with 180 days of combat. Not a hero, just a guy doing his job. If I could I would stand in front of this spoiled, ignorant sissy, with my heels together and block him out with the best hand salute ever seen .Oppressed ? When this narcissistic man child finds that perfect utopia of a country he expects and feels entitled to ,I hope he will spare no time in purchasing a one way ticket .
ReplyDeleteMany people have died to protect our freedom and keep our country free. This is the best FREE country in the world. Then there is this guy who resents 2what the flag stands for.
ReplyDeleteI would suggest that he moves to another country where he would be happier without freedom and where he can earn the standard wage afford to other people which is significantly less than he earns here.
IOf he is not happy with the government, he should vote at the poles instead of dishonoring the flag that he lives under.
If Black Lives Matter, why doesn't it matter to the fathers who create these criminals. And what about his mother who bred with this low life and took off herself. I see that one of the BLM leaders just got robbed and wants more police protection? No matter how hard a person tries, you can't make truth out of a lie!
ReplyDeleteI am as a veteran of Viet Nam, am also feel disgraced that you would turn your worthless dirt bag ass around on your would be country, just for a woman who has you wrapped around her finger. Your are in a trance over the physical pleasantries of this woman, as she uses you as a convenience for an cultist political agenda. You are obviously as ignorant and narrow in your way of getting what you want and don't care who you displease or turn traitor against for your own shoddy low life needs. your an absolute unworthy Traitor and if it were possible I would have you stricken from sports completely, and then drummed out of this country. If the fact of me as a 5 decade 49'rs fan doesn't mean that much to the Club, then Count me out, Your a disgrace and the club that would allow such disrespectful actions are not to be worthy of the many thousands of dollars I've spent on your tickets over the years, not to mention the trinkets also acquired in numerous large lots, of which, cost a pretty good invested, as well. Hey, 49'rs, Im waiting to see if your pro-American or just weak dog ass kissers! Your Breaking Our Hearts out here, we love ya but not more than our Country, and were praying you got the balls to stand up for us, like we have for you. We Will SEE!
ReplyDeleteCongress has established standards for participation in the National Anthem. The NFL has fostered an environment that allows blatant disrespect for our anthem, flag and nation. 36 U.S. Code 301 says, "all other persons present should face the flag and stand at attention with their right hand over the heart, and men not in uniform, if applicable, should remove their headdress with their right hand and hold it at the left shoulder, the hand being over the heart..."
ReplyDeleteIf he can't STAND for our country that has so richly blessed him with a fabulous career - then he should SIT on the bench.
ReplyDeleteWe don't need him. He is not our friend. Muslims believe we are infidels and should be exterminated. Send him back home....
Any fans attending any more 49er games or supporting any team who is doing this is part of the problem. If you, the fans, are patriotic to the flag you would not be attending anymore games until they fired these people. So who is patriotic.
ReplyDeleteSuch a needless distraction for a team that can ill afford it. To date, a mere 1 win and 3 losses -- with more of the latter yet to come. Test the waters, and trade this guy before it becomes too late to do so. Whoever would want him on their team? Anonymous
