Sarah Palin, American...Live At The Tea Party Convention
The next American Revolution starts here.
Yet another amazing, no nonsense speech from the Artic Fox. Even the WAPO had to admit that she looked trim, fit, and brimming with energy and plans.
As they also noted, she had wore a small lapel pin with two flags -- for the United States and for Israel. Whatever else you want to say about Governor Palin, you can't question her courage.
The speech was delivered without a teleprompter, although the Angry Left is making a huge deal over the fact that Governor Palin had a few notes scribbled on her hand.
G-d knows, they certainly had no reasonable response to what she had to say.
Palin started out by saying “happy birthday” President Ronald Reagan, who would have been 99 years old yesterday. She then gave “a special shout-out to America’s newest senator,” Scott Brown, saying “He looked around and he saw things just weren’t quite right in Washington...he stood up and he decided that he was going to do his part to put our government back on the side of the people. And it took guts, and it took a lot of hard work. But with grassroots support, Scott Brown carried the day.”
She went on to savage the Obama Administration, but more than anything else, this was a speech brimming with energy and hope:
“America’s spirit,” she said, can “rise again by not being afraid to kind of go back to some of our roots as a God-fearing nation where we're not afraid to say — especially in times of potential trouble in the future — you know, we don’t have all the answers. As fallible men and women, it would be wise of us to start seeking some divine intervention again in this country, so that we can be safe and secure and prosperous again.” The country, she said, needs politicians unafraid “to go that route, not so afraid of the political correctness . . . to proclaim their alliance to our Creator.”
Even more importantly, for the first time, Governor Palin went public in saying that she would consider a 2012 run against Prez Zero. Here's what she had to say on the matter to FOX's Chris Wallace:
WALLACE: You talk about rising to the top. There's a new poll out this week of Republican voters across the country and it shows someone named Sarah Palin leading the 2012 race by five points over Mitt Romney.
Aren't you the front-runner for the nomination?
PALIN: Nope. Don't know who conducted that poll and I know that polls are fickle and heck, after this interview, Chris, we may see a plummeting in the poll numbers. Who knows. These are fickle. I can't comment on what the poll numbers mean today.
WALLACE: Why wouldn't you run for president?
PALIN: I would. I would if I believe that that is the right thing to do for our country and for the Palin family. Certainly, I would do so.
WALLACE: And how do you make that decision over the next three years?
PALIN: It's going to be thankfully a lot of time to be able to make such a decision.
Right now, I'm looking at, as I say, other potential candidates out there who are strong. They're in a position of having the luxury of having more information at their fingertips right now. So that the current events that we're talking about today, they --
WALLACE: Wait, wait, wait. Because -- you're basically saying you will consider it.
PALIN: I think that it would be absurd to not consider what it is that I can potentially do to help our country. I don't know if it's going to be every seeking a title though. It may be just doing a darn good job as a reporter or covering some of the current events.
WALLACE: But you're going to consider, you're go to go through the process of thinking --
PALIN: I won't close the door that perhaps could be open for me in the future. I don't want any American to ever close the door in their personal or their professional lives and put themselves in a box and say, heck, yes I'm going to do that. Or, no way I'm not going to do that, when we don't know what the future holds.

If I were an Israeli, my reaction to an American wearing the flag of my country would be mixed. In the one hand, I would be pleased and thankful. Her support for Israel must be genuine. After all there is no political gain for such a move. Frankly, as an American I wish a foreigner would show such tender respect for my country to do such a thing.
My next questions would be "how does this translate into American foreign policy regarding my country?" At this time, it seems thatt war between Lebanon, the Palestinians, Iran, or all them is inevitable in the near future.
When this happens what will America do? In the past two wars, Israel had Hezbollah and Hamas on the ropes and could have eliminated these as threats to Israel. Then something happened and Israel backed off. I suspect American pressure played a major role here. For the next round, America's best bet will be to STAY OUT OF ISRAEL'S WAY and let them take care of the problem. The American military is busy elsewhere and our debt load is to massive to fund another major military engagement. We should stay out of the way while Israel eliminates major enemies of both them and America.
Wearing Israeli flags are nice but will Mrs. Palin advocate the right strategy when Israel fights the next round? This is the true test and is what all supporters of Israel should be asking.
