When it rains, it pours.
According to the Field Poll, only 46% of Californians approve of th ejob th epresident is doing, as opposed to 44% whom disapprove.
The Field Poll, I might add, is heavily skewed toward Democrats and is normally considered fairly partisan. The actual numbers could be lower.
Don't mistake this for any earth-shattering trend, at least not just yet. If the election were held today, President Obama would still carry California. But it won't be any kind of landslide, and if the trend continues, California might actually be competitive.
