First Ebola Case Found In USA ..And Some Facts On Symptoms and Prevention

 ebola

Well, given our refusal to enforce our borders and the amount of people coming in illegally every day without health checks, this had to occur sooner or later. This patient, in Dallas, Texas had recently traveled to Liberia.Th eCDC is racing to identify everyone he may have had contact with.

Expect other diseases we thought we'd never see again to surface as well, especially in the public schools. And via the 3,000 U.S. troops our president unwisely sent there.

https://7e8c.https.cdn.softlayer.net/807E8C/origin.theweek.com/img/dir_0088/44285_article_full/president-barack-obama-speaks-at-an-interfaith-vigil-for-the-shooting-victims-from-sandy-hook.jpg?209

Airports apparently have no way to screen for Ebola, and of course simply forbidding Americans to travel to the stricken countries or quaranteening those whom return from them upon entry to America, the way a sane country would handle an epidemic disease for which there is currently no vaccination or cure is, you know, politically incorrect.

Instead, the CDC is issuing guidelines to funeral homes, with all that implies.

A decent basic primer on Ebola symptoms and some good tips on prevention can be found here.

Obama Sends In Large Contingent Of Ground Troops

 https://7e8c.https.cdn.softlayer.net/807E8C/origin.theweek.com/img/dir_0088/44285_article_full/president-barack-obama-speaks-at-an-interfaith-vigil-for-the-shooting-victims-from-sandy-hook.jpg?209

Yes, President Obama has given the orders and has set a brand new objective for our military. But it's definitely not ISIS, fighting jihad or protecting our borders.

In fact, (forget about the border) he's actually cutting back on counterterrorism efforts to send 3,000 US troops on an unclear mission to Monrovia, Liberia in West Africa, the epicenter of the Ebola outbreak.

According to what President Obama's Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey has reportedly told senior officers, “The Department of Defense’s number one priority is combating Ebola.”

Even the White house appears unclear on exactly what the soldiers are going to be doing.

'U.S. Africa Command will set up a Joint Force Command headquartered in Monrovia, Liberia, to provide regional command and control support to U.S. military activities and facilitate coordination with U.S. government and international relief efforts,' a statement from the White House press office said.

'A general from U.S. Army Africa, the Army component of U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), will lead this effort, which will involve an estimated 3,000 U.S. forces.'

All of which are hazy, non-specific and generic terms. What does 'regional command and control support for U.S. military activities' mean? What U.S. military activities are being planned? Are they basically being sent into a dangerous area where a highly contagious disease is running rampant to be policemen of some kind, enforcing some other country's law and order? Maybe several countries?

And the president's rationale for this is frankly ridiculous at a time when our military is already stretched thin, thousands of personnel have been released from the service and defense spending has already been cut 21 per cent since 2010, President Obama's first fiscal year in office.

 http://thinkprogress.org/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/Obama-and-Chuck-Todd-555x267.png

On a Sept. 7 interview on NBC's 'Meet the Press,' as reported by the UK's Daily Mail, President Obama called the Ebola outbreak in West Africa a 'national security priority.'

'If we don't make that effort now, and this spreads not just through Africa, but other parts of the world, there's the prospect then that the virus mutates, it becomes more easily transmittable, and then it could be a serious danger to the United States,” said Obama.

So let's get this straight...the way to stop Ebola from being transmitted to the U.S. is not by policing our borders, cracking down on illegal migration, or quarantining nationals and limiting visas from the affected countries.

Instead, the president obviously feels that the way to stop Ebola from becoming a problem in America is to ignore all these things and send 3,000 soldiers we can't really spare right now into the middle of an epidemic. Can you think of a better way to bring Ebola home to America?

I can certainly see humanitarian aid, and apparently military engineers are going to slap together some makeshift hospitals. The U.S has done similar things before. But  the biggest hospital project the U.S. has committed to isn't for the locals. It's a fully equipped 25-bed 'field-deployable hospital,' that will be used solely to treat infected health care personnel and presumably those members of our military that become infected.

And the State Department, tellingly, has just purchased 5,000 body bags.

http://colonel6.files.wordpress.com/2010/11/chontosh-body-bags.jpg?w=500&h=394

Why is the president doing this? Obviously this is not a 'national security issue'. But when it come to President Obama, there are two motivating factors you can always count on...politics and his own ego and aggrandizement.

The politics are pretty simple. With the midterms coming up, it's yet another way to dupe African-American voters into thinking that Obama cares about them, even though for all practical purposes their voting bloc is being taken for granted and has been dumped to cater to Latinos.

The ego and aggrandizement? That's pretty simple too. In spite of that totally unearned Nobel Peace Prize, in spite of all the rhetoric, President Obama has actually done very little in the way of humanitarian efforts, especially when you compare him to President Bush, who is particularly beloved in Africa for his efforts to combat AIDS and hunger. So this becomes an Obama bragging point - at other people's risk and expense, of course.

Fore!

Jews Barred From African Union Summit Learn A Needed Lesson

 http://counterjihadnews.files.wordpress.com/2014/03/jh.jpg

A group of prominent American Jews were invited to attend the 23rd African Union Summit in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea this week, with the idea of working on logistical and financial support for educational, humanitarian and development projects in Africa from mainstream Jewish groups like the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. On the agenda and scheduled to open the conference was a simple statement, a declaration of support for the three kidnapped Israeli teens.

The Jews  were not allowed to attend, and the story points out something valuable to remember:

"I have never seen such racism, such anti-Semitism. We were humiliated," said several of the Jews in attendance, who had left Equatorial Guinea in a fury after changing their flights.

"It all began when one of the Arab delegates, from Egypt, approached us at dinner the night before the opening and asked what we were doing here, pointing at the men wearing kippahs," said Israeli businesswoman Yardena Ovadia, who had organized the invitation of the Jewish delegation to the summit.

Ovadia, who has close ties with Equatorial Guinea President Teodoro Obiang, said that she explained to the delegate that her and her friends were Jews from the US, not Israelis.

The following day representatives of the Arab League refused to enter the hall until all the Jews left, or as they called them, the "Israeli delegation."

"We were already seated in the conference hall," said Ovadia. "The heads of the Arab League announced a boycott of the conference until the 'Israeli delegation' left. We officially declared that we were Americans, not Israelis, but it didn't help."

"There was a representative of the US congress with us. She was shocked and said that there will be an official government statement," Ovadia added.

Notice that the first default position of these American Jews and this Israeli-American businesswoman was to try to distance themselves and declare that they were Americans, not those 'evil' Israelis.

To the Arab League delegates, that made absolutely no difference. It also apparently didn't make any difference to UN Secretary General Ban Ki Moon, Egyptian President al-Sisi, the prime minister of Spain, four Iranian ministers, and other foreign dignitaries in the hall.

 http://www.nndb.com/people/190/000119830/ban-ki-moon-1.jpg

None of them said a word as the 14 Jewish delegates were forced to leave the hall and the proceedings started an hour late. Nor did any of them say anything or walk out either when the Palestinian Authority's unelected dictator Mahmoud Abbas' deputy made a speech accusing Israel of perpetrating a 'Holocaust' on the Palestinian people. And that declaration of support for the three kidnapped Israeli teens? If these people couldn't even abide being in the same room with Jews, do you think that ever happened? Of course it didn't. It never even made it to the floor and was cancelled from the agenda.

And some of these people  are the same one who accuse Israel of 'apartheid'!  Yes, it's the old story again, 'Jews Unwelcome.' And the usual suspects still keep their mouths shut.

http://sarahhonigblog.files.wordpress.com/2011/06/a-bavarian-town-near-nuremberg-announces-in-this-sign-jews-are-not-desired-in-behringsdorf-11.jpg

The supreme irony here is that the Israelis have given billions in badly needed aid to African nations, unlike the Arab countries with their billions of petro-dollars. That likely has a lot to do with why the president of Equatorial Guinea called Yardena Ovadia personally to apologize and invite the Conference of Presidents' delegation to a special dinner. But at that point, they had already rescheduled their flight and had left the country.

Believe or not this is a positive development. These American Jews, who thought themselves apart from their Jewish brothers and sisters in Israel may have learned, perhaps, that 'anti-Zionist' is just a code word for anti-Semite. To these people all Jews are 'Israelis', no matter how politically correct they are, how critical they are of Israel's policies or how much 'interfaith outreach' they do with Islamists.

It's high time this lesson was learned.

A New Trend? The Banning Of Mosques

 http://www.publicspirit.org.uk/assets/No-mosque.svg_.png

Two items of interest...mosques are being banned in Moscow, and in the predominantly Christian south African country of Angola in an effort to curtail the spread of Islam.

In Moscow, the mayor, Sergei Sobyanin has banned the construction of any new mosques in the city beyond the four that already exist.

The mayor claims that the mosques are chiefly used by migrant workers from Central Asia who do not have residence permits, and that building more mosques would just increase their number. He claimed that between 60 and 70 percent of Muslim worshipers are migrants. "We cannot provide for all comers. I think it's not necessary," Sobyanin said.

There are 2 million legal Muslim residents in Moscow currently, and none of the four existing mosques can accommodate more than 10,000 people. So this is obviously an attempt to restrict th eamount of Muslims in Moscow and suppress the practice of Islam.

There is apparently one more mosque in the middle of construction, but Mayor Sobyanin made it clear that there will be no more."No new building permits will be issued. I think that's enough mosques for Moscow,” Sobyanin told Russian daily newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda.

This is noteworthy considering the simmering tension between Muslims and non-Muslims in Russia, which has a 400-year-old history. Something like 70% of births among native Russians end in abortion, and th emain segment of the population that is growing is Muslim. The demographic changes have already led to violence between Muslim and non-Muslims in the military and ethnic clashes throughout Russia. Mayor Sobyanin would almost certainly justify his ban on mosques on those grounds.

In Angola, there's a different variation of the same thing going on. Angola is not only banning the construction of any mosques, it is demolishing the existing ones.

Angolan President Jose Eduardo dos Santos said Sunday "this is the final end of Islamic influence in our country."

Angola's ban was first announced last Friday, when Angolan Minister of Culture, Rosa Cruz e Silva said "the process of legalization of Islam has not been approved by the Ministry of Justice and Human rights, their mosques would be closed until further notice."

India Today reports Silva's statement was made at the 6th Commission of the Angolan National Assembly, and that the ban includes orders to demolish mosques in the country.
Silva reportedly said the ban was necessary since Islam is "contradictory to the customs of Angola culture."

Angola's population of 16 million is predominantly Christian, with only 80,000-90,000 Muslims, the majority of whom are migrants from West Africa and families of Lebanese origin, according to the US State Department.

The crackdown on Islam comes as Christians in the Middle East are being forced from Muslim countries.

This is obviously a de facto attempt to ban the organized practice of Islam in Angola. Given the violence that seems to be inherent in many countries once the percentage of Muslim residents reaches a certain percentage, it will be intersting to see whether this becomes a growing trend.

The Latest From The Religion Of Peace In Nigeria: 161 Christians Dead

http://cdn.dailypost.com.ng/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/BOKO-VIC.jpg

The latest atrocity from the Islamist Nigerian group Boko Haram was an attack on Benisheik, a predominantly Christian town in Borno State yesterday.

The jihadis attacked the Maiduguri-Damaturu road leading into the town, dragging people out of their vehicles and killing them, and the bodies are still being found:

Environmental officers yesterday recovered 87 more corpses of travelers killed by suspected Boko Haram gunmen during an attack on Maiduguri-Damaturu road near Benisheik town in Borno State on Tuesday.

This was in addition to 55 bodies earlier picked up on Wednesday, officials of the Borno State Environmental Protection Agency (BOSEPA) told journalists during a visit by Governor Kashim Shettima to the scene of the violence.

Heavily armed insurgents laid siege on Benisheik, Kaga Local Government Area on Tuesday evening, killing people and setting buildings ablaze.

They also blocked the Maiduguri-Damaturu highway, three kilometers away from the town, sorting out and slaughtering dozens of travelers.

Apart from the 142 travelers, also killed in the attack were 2 soldiers, 3 policemen and 14 villagers, bringing the total death toll to 161.

The siege and the assaults on the main road are simple ethnic cleansing in action. Boko Haram wants to create an Islamist state in mostly Muslim North Nigeria, and allowing Christians to live in the area they want for their mini-caliphate doesn't fit the agenda. The jihadis reportedly quizzed their victims before killing them, letting Muslims go and killing only the kuffars, non-believers.

There were Nigerian soldiers who attempted to protect the town from the jihadis, but they were outgunned and soon ran out of ammo:

A soldier who spoke to correspondents in confidence said the insurgents had superior power.

"The terrorists were using anti-aircraft guns while we were using AK47 rifles and some RPGs. They came in droves, driving about 20 pick-up trucks accompanied with two light-armored tankers, all wearing military colors. We had to retreat to our base to reinforce after running out of ammunition," he said.

"However, they followed us down and surrounded our base and began to shell our building. We couldn't stand the heat of their superior fire power. We had to retreat into the village after they killed two of our soldiers and three policemen."

The soldier said after the siege, the insurgents took away an armoured tank and four pick-up vehicles painted in military colours from the base.

Sounds like Boko Haram mayhave gotten their hands on some Libyan arms from Khaddaffi's arsenals, courtesy of President Obama.

With the soldiers in retreat, the townspeople were left to the jihadis and the town was sacked.

State Governor Kashim Shettima, apparently a Muslim urged the residents to stay in Benisheik and not flee the town.

"What happened is barbaric and un-Islamic," he said. He's also promised emergency food supplies and announced the release of N50 million for the rebuilding of over 100 houses and shops burnt in the town.

That isn't convincing the remaining residents, many of whom are evacuating. Apparently they don't agree with Governor Shettima that this is 'un-Islamic'. They expect more of the same.

Nairobi Update

Here's the latest on the Nairobi jihad attack.

There was a loud explosion this morning that sent thick clouds of smoke billowing from the Westgate shopping mall, where the remaining jihadis are holed up with an undetermined number of hostages.

A security officer was quoted by SKY News as saying that it was the rescuers that caused the blast, because they are trying to get through via the roof.

The rest of the mall has gradually been cleared and a number of trapped civilians and hostages rescued, but apparently there is still a hard core force of 10 to 15 jihadis barricaded in a supermarket, together with hostages they're using as human shields. There are said to be at least 5 Somalis with American citizenship among the jihadis, and at at least one female. There's a report out that the woman is Samantha Lewthwaite, a white British Muslim convert and the widow of London 7/7 Tube bomber Jermaine Lindsay who blew himself up in the attacks that murdered 26 people back in 2005.She's known to be in the area and has been involved in other attacks.

 Samantha Lewthwaite

The American jihadis have been identified from one source as:
Ahmed Mohamed Isse, 22 , St. Paul, Minnesota
Abdifatah Osman Keenadiid 24, Minneapolis, Minnesota
Gen Mustafe Noorudiin. 27, Kansas City. MO
Abdelkarem Ali Mohamed, 21, from Illinois (probably Chicago)
Abdishakur Sheikh Hassan 22 from Maine
Shafie Die 25, Tucson Arizona

Other jihadis reportedly identified are

Abdirizak Mouled, 24 Ontario, Canada
Ahmed Nasir Shirdoon, 24, London GB
Sayid Nuh, 25, Kismayu, Somalia
Sa’d Daud 23, Damascus Syria
Mohammed Bader 25, Aleppo, Syria
Ismael Guled, 23, Helsinki Finland
Zaki Jama Caraale, 20, Hargeisa, Somalia
Qasim Said Mussa, 22, Garissa, Kenya
Eliko Mamedoff, 27, Dagestan, Russia
Moulid Ahmed 24, Gävleborgs Län, Sweden

This is what comes of giving people wholesale asylum in the West from locations like Somalia. Also note the jihadis from Syria. These are exactly the kind of people President Obama wanted to ally the US with and supply with arms.

Some of the jihadis reportedly blew themselves up with suicide bomb vests when attacked by security forces, while others were shot down in the mall itself.

Al Shabaab spokesman Ali Mohamud Rage warned via Twitter the hostages would "bear the brunt of any force directed against the mujahedeen". In response, Kenyan military spokesman Colonel Cyrus Oguna told Sky News: "We do not negotiate with terrorists and that position has not changed. Everyone who has been rescued is being checked to make sure none of the terrorists escaped during the dragnet."

This is approaching endgame. Expect the death toll to go higher.

This Time It's Nairobi's Turn

It's a Saturday, and so you decide to head down to the local shopping mall, maybe check out the latest computer gadgets, perhaps grab some lunch at the food court, maybe even a movie. You've been there before. It's air conditioned, and it gets you out of the house, so it's a pleasant outing with the wife and kids if you're a family man.

Except this day isn't going to be like the others. Today, you picked the wrong place at the wrong time. Today, you're going to have a collision with the Religion of Peace, and it just might be your last day on earth.

 http://resources2.news.com.au/images/2013/09/22/1226724/547962-nairobi-shopping-centre-attack.jpg

Islamist terrorists from Somalia's al-Shabaab targeted the crowded Westgate Premier Shopping Mall in Nairobi,Kenya at noon in a brutal assault with bombs, automatic weapons and grenades that left 68 dead and over 205 wounded at last count. This is still an ongoing hostage situation. and some of the injured were critically wounded, so it's uncertain just what the final death toll will be yet. Some of the dead reportedly were from Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta's own family.

As is usual in these attacks, the killers showed no mercy for children, the elderly, or women. They were waging jihad, and the maximum body count of infidels was all that was important. In fact, the attack took place during the filming of a children’s cooking show under a parking lot canopy, something that ensured a number of casualties among the children and their parents watching the filming.

The al-Qaeda franchise took credit for the attack on its official Twitter feed: “Only Kuffar were singled out for this attack. All Muslims inside #Westgate were escorted out by the Mujahideen before beginning the attack,” Al-Shabaab tweeted.

This confirms what a number of survivors told Kenyan security forces, that the killers asked the Muslims they encountered to identify themselves and escorted them to safety as they opened fire on the 'kuffars' - non-Muslims.

In one reported case, an Indian man who attempted to escape by claiming to be a Muslim was executed in cold blood when he was unable to name Mohammed's mother.

“They asked people ‘Are you a Muslim?’ and anyone who answered ‘no’ got a bullet,” Moshe Noiman, an Israeli living in Nairobi who witnessed the attack, told Israel’s Channel 10 news.

The Israeli coverage is no accident. The Mossad and Israeli commandos are reportedly aiding the Kenyans, and while Israel and Kenya have close relations, it goes beyond that. The mall is partly owned by Israelis and some of the hostages are said to be Israelis.

An unnamed Kenyan security source told the AFP that Israeli forces had joined Kenyan efforts to end the deadly siege. "The Israelis have just entered and they are rescuing the hostages and the injured."

Israeli foreign ministry spokesman Paul Hirschson refused to confirm or deny that its forces were involved, which is typical in these situations.

But in  the end, none of it matters.

Beslan, Mumbai, Netanya, London, Boston, Bali, Ft. Hood, Itamar, Darfur, Madrid, and now Nairobi again. And so many others. They all blur into one, because over the last decade or so, we have, as a society, normalized terrorism in the name of Islam.

Same old same old.

Muslims murder non-Muslims horrifically because of whatever grievance they feel like claiming this time. One time it's an innocent remark about a beauty contest, another time it's some cartoons, or anger over girls going to school. Sometimes it's simply because non-Muslims have the temerity to live and prosper on 'Muslim' land. Many times, it's simply old fashioned theft, rapine and pillage against non-believers.

The perpetrators might call themselves Boko Haram, or Hamas, or Islamic Jihad, or Abu Sayeff or Al Nusrah, Lashkar e Taiba, or any of the other groups actively waging jihad.

The details don't matter. The scenario is always the same. Non-Muslims are butchered in the name of Allah.Western politicians, or more often these days spokespeople issue the usual, carefully phrased condemnations. Sometimes, the perpetrators are caught and killed, many times they're not. Nothing changes. On to the next atrocity. Cycle, rinse, repeat.

Have you ever wondered why this macabre dance continues?

Here's one clue.

IIf you take a look at the official statement on Nairobi by a State Department spokes person, you'll notice something. It condemns a 'despicable terrorist attack', offers condolences to Americans and others whom were 'tragically affected', commends Kenyan security forces and promises undefined 'support'. At the every bottom, almost as an afterthought, it mentions al-Shabaab, not as a mortal enemy, but as a 'threat'.

What's missing here?

Here's clue number two, a tweet posted by British PM David Cameron:“It’s been done in the name of terror, not religion.”

Ah, and also from the UK, courtesy of Zombie, who writes on how the BBC, once the gold standard in journalism is now willing to break the rules of Journalism 101 with a misleading headline ("Nairobi Westgate Shooting Kills 11 In Kenya") the opening lede, which refers to '11 people who died in a gun battle (which directly implies there was a 'shoot-out' between equal combatants) and a subsequent paragraph which refers to "armed criminals" rather than terrorists attacking helpless civilians.

Al-Shabaab is finally mentioned in passing in the lower paragraphs ( the part of the story a great deal of research tells us the vast majority of readers skip over) but like the statement coming from our State Department, no real mention of whom they might be or what might have been the motivation for the attack.

So, what do we have in common here? A frantic, almost manic attempt to avoid even hinting, let alone mentioning one word in any form: I S L A M.

The victims in Nairobi ('people affected by the attacks?' what unfeeling arrogance!) were murdered in the name of Islam by Muslims. And yes, is has everything to do with religion. Why else do you think only non-Muslims were targeted?

That's the missing piece here, and the refusal of our elites to face up to it is not only why it keeps happening, but why we've been encouraged as a society to normalize it.

Hey, sometimes trainwrecks happen, car crashes occur, or a building collapses. Sometimes terrorists hit for some reason. Just part of the risks involved with daily life. Workplace violence, like Fort Hood. The Lottery of Life. Stuff happens. Isn't that a shame. Just suck it up and be glad it wasn't you this time.

Heaven forbid anyone should ever delve into the motivation for every one of these attacks.

But walk with me awhile and let's take a look at this from a jihadi's view point.

Islam is the only major religion that promises Paradise as a heavenly reward for murdering kufars, infidels, non-believers. It says so directly in the Qur'an and the Hadiths, in numerous places.

Many Muslims don't follow these parts of their religion, but a substantial number do. So from the standpoint of a Muslim who believes what's stated in his or her religious scriptures and who has been indoctrinated that this is the way, the truth and the light, where's the downside in murdering non-believers, who the Qur'an says are Hell bound anyway? If you do it successfully and survive, you're a hero and nothing really bad is going to happen to you. Even if you're incarcerated, the humane West will see to it that you have top quality halal food, comfortable accommodations and in most cases an early release date, and you will be thought of as a hero. In fact, if you're lucky enough to be part of Hamas or the PLO, you'll even get paid a salary far beyond what you could earn outside jail courtesy of gullible Western donors and receive a hero's welcome when you're eventually kicked loose as a 'good faith gesture for peace'.

And if you die? You become an instant shaheed, a martyr, with a promised reward of 72 nubile young women to use and abuse as your sex slaves throughout eternity as a reward.

Major Nidal Hasan, the Fort Hood killer who murdered 13 defenseless Army personnel understood this perfectly. He started by admitting to the murders in his opening statement, after he successfully demanded the right to represent himself at his trial. His defense consisted of calling three witnesses to get them to state on record that he was indeed the murderer of 13 people, including a pregnant private who lay wounded on the floor and pleaded with Hasan for her baby's life before he finished her off.

The judge, Colonel Tara Osborn obviously followed orders from higher up when she disallowed any evidence that pointed towards jihad or Islamism as Major Hasan's motive for the murders, the same thing that's been done with all of the other jihad attacks Islamic fascists have inflicted on the West. She actually tried to help Hasan by suggesting that the murders were the result of a sudden spontaneous flash of rage. But Major Hasan wanted his jihad as a Soldier of Allah and would have none of that:

"It wasn't done under the heat of sudden passion," Hasan said before jurors began deliberating. "There was adequate provocation — that these were deploying soldiers that were going to engage in an illegal war."

Not only that, but the evidence clearly showed that Hasan made thorough preparations for the killings, even going to the extent of putting paper towels in the pockets of his cargo pants to muffle the rattling of the extra ammo he was carrying to avoid arousing suspicion.

From Nidal Hasan's viewpoint, it's all good. He murdered a bunch of infidels, performed a successful jihad and is headed for a painless death via drug cocktail, followed by a traditional Muslim funeral like Osama bin-Laden's (which involves cursing non-believers) and a gala reception by Allah as an honored shaheed. Even his assets, over $300,000 in accumulated pay and benefits was donated to a charity, we're told, rather than being subject to civil recovery by the surviving victims or their families. And of course, we're not allowed to know which charity.

The jihadis who have murdered infidels from Boston, to London, to Mumbai, and now Nairobi see it exactly the same way, as a winning proposition. And that's been reinforced every time one of these attacks occur, because the non-Muslim world has refused to even condemn the ideology that drives this religiously sanctified murder, let alone punish the perpetrators or the societies that aid and abet it in any meaningful way, even in Muslim communities in the West.Is it any wonder it continues? Or that young Muslims want to emulate the Nidal Hasans? Do you think that might perhaps change if he were hung publicly with a piece of bacon shoved into his mouth and then simply dumped into the sea without Muslim rites? After all, we're being constantly told these attacks have nothing to do with Islam. so why not? And might things change if there were a price tag for aiding and abetting Islamic fascism, if the ideology itself was actually identified, targeted and attacked, especially in western countries? Might we see changes in Muslim countries that aid, finance and abet this ideology if there was a direct cost involved?

Instead, our elites have decided out of fear, political expediency or sheer personal financial gain to present Islamic terrorism as just one of those hazards of everyday life, something unpleasant that just happens and has to be expected sometimes, like a flood or a bad thunderstorm. Talk about blood for oil...

So the jihad against the West is going to continue. This time, it was Nairobi's turn. Tomorrow, it could be New York, or Zurich, or London or Nigeria. Or your town, your loved ones. It will continue because we allow it to continue, because we continue to live a lie.

Until we decide that enough is enough.

Jewish Teen Girls Victims Of Muslim Acid Attack

Two Jewish teens from Britain who were volunteering at a local school in Zanzibar for the summer were victims of acid attacks, leaving them with facial, chest and back injuries.

Katie Gee and Kirstie Trup, both 18 and both active members of the Federation for Zionist Youth (FZY), are from Manchester.

"The attackers approached the girls as they were walking on a street at around 7:15 p.m. and threw acid at them," Zanzibar Urban West regional police commander Mkadam Khamis Mkadam told Reuters. "The incident occurred when the streets were deserted as most people were breaking their Ramadan fast."

Television images showed one girl obviously in pain in the back of a car at the Zanzibar airport.

"The victims sustained facial, chest and back injuries from the acid attack," Mkadam said.

The two girls were flown to Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania's capitol fir treatment and left today for Britain.

According to what one of Kristie Trup's friends, Oli Cohen, 21, told the Jewish Chronicle, "Katie was attacked two weeks ago by a Muslim woman for singing on Ramadan. She was shocked as it just came from out of the blue - but she wasn't scared enough to come home she stayed out there to finish her trip and volunteering."

Zanzibar, an Island in the Indian Ocean is part of the African country of Tanzania but is predominantly Muslim. It's known as a popular tourist spot but has been hit with a series of terrorist attacks mainly sponsored by the local Islamist group Uamsho (Awakening), which wants Zanzibar to separate from Tanzania and become an Islamist state under sharia.

Two Christian leaders were murdered early this year in separate attacks.

Reuters, of course, referred to this as a 'random attack.'  It wasn't. There are literally thousands of these kinds of 'random attacks' involving Muslims. This was a deliberate terrorist assault aimed at two Jewish teens who were there volunteering to help the local, predominantly Muslim population. And frankly, I think their parents should have known better than to send them there.

Here's hoping the two girls recover quickly, but that both they and their parents have learned something.

The New Muslim Way Of Dealing With Non-Muslim Business Competition - Murder?

There's a long history of Muslims brutally murdering non-Muslim clergy or anyone preaching or carrying something like a Bible. But here are a couple of incidents showing how this appears to be broadening to include any non-Muslims who are too successful in business in Muslim majority countries as well.

In the Muslim majority East African country of Tanzania, a popular Christian pastor was beheaded as a message to Christians by Muslims who demand that Christians accede to total Islamization of the meat industry:

The 11 February 2013 beheading in Geita, of Pastor Mathayo Kachili of the Tanzania Assemblies of God Church (TAG) has its source in a debate presently raging in Tanzania.

Apparently it is a "long-standing tradition" in Tanzania that Muslims have a monopoly on the meat industry.

Recently however, Christians in Geita district, Mwanza region -- on the southern shores of Lake Victoria -- have entered the butchery trade, causing outrage amongst Muslims.

Tensions escalated over several months until, in early February, the Minister of State in the President's Office responsible for social relations, planning coordination, Mr Stephen Wassira, travelled to Mwanza to meet with Christian and Muslim leaders in an effort to defuse tensions.

According to The Citizen (7 Feb), Mr Stephen Wassira categorically directed that the task of slaughtering animals for public consumption should be executed only by Muslims. He said that people of other faiths may slaughter animals if the meat is solely for family/private consumption – but certainly not for sale to, or consumption by, the general public.

Mr Wassira declared that, should non-Muslims want to go into the meat business, then the slaughtering must be done according to Islamic tenets and rituals. "In effect," writes Karl Lyimo of the Citizen, "the minister has barred non-Muslims from the meat business – unless and until they are ready, willing, able and glad to follow the Islamic rituals to the letter."

Lyimo continues: "Reportedly, religious leaders of the Christian faith were barred by the regional government from making a public statement on the matter for fear of agitating their followers against the 'Wassira Proclamation'. In the event, priests have called upon their followers to 'retaliate' by boycotting 'Muslim-oriented' butcheries – and are planning to seek judicial intervention via the courts system."

Halal slaughtering involves killing the animal while reciting a prayer to Allah. There's no way a non-Muslim could do this without converting. Even worse, if a non-Muslim recited this prayer and then continued to follow a different religion other than Islam, he would be an apostate and could be murdered for that too.

There are numerous reports of Christians who were 'doing too well' in business facing violence and intimidation in places like Egypt, Iraq, Syria, the Sudan, Indonesia, and elsewhere in the Muslim world.

In Pakistan, Muslims axed to death a Christian rival in the potato business when he refused to convert.

As the world recession continues (particularly in Islamic and Muslim majority countries without oil wealth)we will undoubtedly see more of this, especially since the Jews are no longer available.

It's well worth remembering that historically, Islam's economy stagnated once they were stopped from plundering fresh lands. In fact, until oil was discovered, refined and exported by westerners, Muslim countries were largely economic backwaters.

Bloodbath In Algeria With Hostage Rescue Attempt...War On Jihad Spreads To Maghreb

The latest battleground in the War on Jihad is North Africa and the Maghreb, the northern Muslim rim of Africa. The 'mainly Taureg area' notation refers to the indigenous desert Taureg tribes, who've been fighting some of the surrounding governments for years and are now being used as jihadi shock troops by Al Qaeda in the Maghreb (AQIM).

This is a vast area almost the size of Western Europe.

The ill-advised western intervention to overthrow Moamar Khaddaffi is spawning a number of unpleasant consequences as al-Qaeda and other salifists relocate back to the Arab world to take advantage of the new empowerment of the Islamist Muslim Brotherhood and the Arab Spring.

The site of the latest atrocity was Algeria's In Amenas natural gas facility near the Libyan border, which was targeted by AQIM in response to France sending in troops to the North African country of Mali to war against a threatened takeover of another AQIM affiliated group, Ansar al Dine which already controlled the Northern part of the country. Ansar al Dine had launched an offensive against Bamako, the capitol which came seriously close to succeeding and probably would have without theF rench intervention.

Both Ansar al Dine and the perpetrators of the attack on the In Amenas natural gas facility were well supplied with arms that came out of former Libyan dictator Moamar Khaddaffi's arsenals.

Since Khaddaffi's overthrow and subsequent assassination, the security situation in Libya has visibly worsened.

The military has essentially dissolved and weapons from Khaddaffi's armed forces have flooded the markets in the region. A stable and sustainable government has yet to take hold and a lot of the power still rests with competing groups, a number of whom are affiliated with al-Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Many of the AQIM affiliates have made a business out of kidnapping westerners working at oil facilities in the region.

The attack on In Menas was carried out by The Signed-In-Blood Battalion, an offshoot of AQIM. The group is led by a one-eyed veteran of Algeria's civil war, named Mokhtar Belmokhtar.

The group attacked the facility at dawn on Wednesday, overwhelming the and taking a number of foreigners hostage. According to one BP worker there, they were told by the attackers "'You have nothing to do with this. You are Algerians and Muslims. We only want the foreigners.'"

Most of the plant's 700 workers either eluded capture of managed to hide from the jihadis, but a number of non-Muslim hostages were taken, and many had explosives wired to them.

The jihadi's demands were that France pull its troops out of Mali and that the U.S. free two terrorist icons.

Sheik Abdul Ramen, AKA 'The Blind Sheik' who played a major role in planning the first World Trade Center bombing in 1993 and is serving a life sentence is high on every Islamist's wish list. No less than Egypt's new Muslim Brotherhood Presixdent Mohammed Morsi vowed to free the Sheik in his inaugural speech.

The jihadis also demanded the release of Aafia Siddiqui, a Pakistani scientist who was convicted in 2010 of attempting to kill U.S. FBI agents and military officers after she was detained by police while trying to enter Afghanistan back in 2008.

When the FBI agents began asking her a few questions, she reportedly snatched an untended M-16 ( don't ask me whose error in judgement that was) and started shooting at them while yelling, "Death to Americans!"

Instead of wasting any time on things like negotiations, the Algerian military simply cowboyed things and attacked the site, something a number of experts criticized them for. Reportedly, they did not inform any of the countries whose nationals were believed to be hostages before undertaking the raid.

All of the hostages were killed, as well as 32 jihadis. So far, they've found the bodies of 23 hostages, and the death toll is almost certain to rise and the plan is secured.

This is something like standard procedure for hostage situations in Algeria, of which there have been far too many since the civil war. The Algerian security forces normally assume that any hostages are dead meat anyway, and therefore, everybody dies. The fact that those hostages are non-Muslim ferenghi makes a decision like that even easier.

Mokhtar Belmokhtar has promised that there will be more attacks until their demands are met and given the state of things in the Maghreb and in Mali,we can probably expect more of these.

The ironic thing in all this is that while Moamar Khaddaffi was in charge in Libya, he was actually helping us take out elements of AQIM, because he saw them as a threat to his rule. Perhaps the Obama Administration should have thought twice before jumping into Libya and helping the people whom ousted him. They're increasingly turning out to be a change for the worse.

As for Mali, don't be surprised to see U.S. involvement there eventually. According to State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland, we already have 'military trainers' there to train African troops as they deploy in Mali, as well as drones and that wonderfully loose term 'logistical support.'

The last time we did this in tandem with the French over half a century ago, our military trainers in South Vietnam (known then as 'advisers') ended up taking a vastly increased role beyond anything we anticipated, we ended up paying all of the costs of France's intervention and then taking over for them in the end.

Stay tuned.

Toujour's L'Audace - France's War In Mali

The latest episode in the on again, off again War Against Jihad is taking place in the west African country of Mali, with the Islamists being confronted by France.

At first glance, this would seem an unlikely scenario. France's President François Hollande campaigned on pulling France's small force of 2,000 troops out of Afghanistan and cutting back on what's left of France's military, and the votes of France's restless Muslim population were a decisive part of putting Hollande's Socialists in office. But the reality is that the French had a great deal to lose if they had simply allowed an Islamist takeover of Mali.

A great deal of France's commerce, influence and prestige is tied up in the French Union, an organization of France and its former colonies somewhat resembling the British Commonwealth.

The French have already seen its former colony Mauritania crumble to the Islamist onslaught. And just weeks ago, the French government conspicuously failed to rescue the incumbent leader in another former French colony, the Central African Republic, where President Francois Bozize no alternative but to accept a power-sharing arrangement with insurgents threatening to take over the mineral rich country.

These incidents endangered "Francafrique", a long standing arrangement under which the French supported African leaders aligned to French business and policy interests, particularly in the mining and oil sectors. The arrangement was profitable and useful for both France and its former African colonies, but only as long as the French were seen as a viable and desirable partner willing to provide backup when needed. Mali was simply a domino that even President Hollande couldn't afford to see fall.

There was also an issue of protecting the estimated 7,000 French nationals in Mali, as well as rescuing half a dozen of them the insurgents, a part of al-Qaeda in the Maghreb (AQIM) known as Ansar al Dine had already taken hostage, although now that the French Army has boots on the ground, it's unlikely the hostages will be recovered alive.

The insurgents had already had seized a large base in the northern part of the country after the confusion of last April's military coup, with its unofficial capital the old trading city of Timbuktu, where historically the desert and sub-Saharan Africa met to trade slaves, gold, ivory, spices and grain. Today, the trade also includes heroin and cocaine, with AQIM financing its operations by running drugs into Europe.

The latest offensive by the Islamists overwhelmed the Malian army, with the rebels seizing control of the strategic town of Konno, only 375 miles ( 600 kilometers) north of the capital of Bamako. So the French decided to act, ordering 550 troops, C-160 transport aircraft and attack helicopters to beat the Islamist insurgents back.

Ironically,  Ansar al Dine  got a lot of their initial arms for the offensive from Moamar Khaddaffi's stockpiles, yet another undesirable side effect of the Libya intervention the French participated in to save their oil contracts with the Benghazi based rebels.

The initial scenario that was planned didn't include the French at all. The UN operated with its normal ineffectiveness, passing a toothless UNSC resolution back in December, 2012 for 'outside actors' to help assist the Malian army retake the territory in the north held by AQIM and their rebel allies.Originally, that was supposed to be a military operation under the auspices of the Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS), featuring African troops from the 17 member nations.

But there was never much of a consensus about which countries were going to provide what military aid or whom was paying for it, the planned 3,000 man force would not have been able to be deployed for months, other regional powers like Algeria were against an African-based intervention on their borders and even the government of Mali had second thoughts because previous African peacekeeping forces had been implicated in incidents of rape, looting, torture and other human rights violations.

So when the rebels attacked and began advancing on the capital, Acting Malian President Dioncounda Traoré begged the French to intervene, and Hollande's hand was forced.

In spite of the UN resolution, there are reportedly no plans by the French to drive the Islamists out of the Northern part of Mali, but merely to hold on to the rest of the country until they can be replaced by African forces, or beef up the Malian Army. There are a number of problems with this approach.

It commits the French forces to a defensive war of attrition, with the Islamist rebels able to strike and then melt back into their 300,000 square mile desert stronghold or over the border to  Islamist  Mauritania. And from Mauritania, the rebels can pretty much launch strikes in Mali at will.

Deploying  African troops to take over for the French and/or building up  a retrained and rearmed Malian army are going to take months. While the French maintain bases in West Africa (a Foreign Legion base in Gabon and an air base in Senegal), its an open question how long they can afford to maintain the current boots on the ground military operation.

Or how long it will remain politically popular. At present, widespread publicity of atrocities in the north as sharia is imposed  as well as the small number of casualties thus far have given the Hollande government a decent amount of support for the intervention from most of the French public. But if it drags on, casualties mount up and France's large Muslim population gets restive, that could change.

There are already reports of French Muslims going to North Africa to train as part of AQIM, and both AQIM and members of Ansar al Dine have threatened terrorist strikes in France itself as well as on the expatriate French communities in Africa, particularly in neighboring Muslim countries. Al-Qaeda's leader Ayman al-Zawahiri has been calling for a 9/11 style attack in Paris for years now. There's no telling how the French public might react if the intervention in Mali resulted in terrorist attacks in France itself.

The other strategic approach, retaking Northern Mali, destroying Ansar al Dine and driving them and all other elements of AQIM out of the country represent a more decisive approach, but calls for a much bigger military commitment than France is probably able to make right now, and getting NATO and particularly the U.S. involved raises the risk of Mali becoming another Afghanistan, especially if the intervention is handled as badly as AfPak was.

Former CIA Director and U.S. General David Petraeus, in a quote that was a lot more accurate than he probably realized once referred to counter-terrorism campaigns as a “whack-a-mole” policy, saying that “you need to hit all the moles at once”.

Or, as I'd put it, you need to defeat the moles by removing the mole's main havens and their sources of support and funding, and make it clear that harboring or helping the moles in any way is going to be so costly that it can't even be considered.

We've pretty much done just the opposite for the last twelve years, which is why we're still playing whack-a-mole rather than winning a war.

Stay tuned...

Hillary Clinton Chased by Bees In Africa!!

A swarm of bees provided an inglorious exit to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's trip to Africa.

Mrs. Clinton and her entourage were headed for the plane home at Kamuzu International Airport in Malawi when the bees attacked.

“There was a slight panic as the bees winged across the airport. People could be seen running away to keep cover as the Secretary of State swiftly boarded her plane to avoid any stings,” a witness told the Nyasa Times.

In a White House statement, the bees were identified as right wing Tea Party members.

There has been no response yet to a request sent to the bees for a statement, but a reliable, confidential source told Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid that the bees were actually Romney campaign operatives.

As for the Secretary of State, this will no doubt morph in time to a story about her being fired upon by African terrorists. Same old Hillary..nothing changes!

New Attacks On Church Leaves 16 Nigerian Christians Dead

Nigeria's Muslim sect Boko Haram attacked church services Bayero University's campus in the northern part of the country today.

Small soda cans filled with explosives and smoke bombs were hurled into the church to drive the worshipers outside, where gunmen lay in ambush. Hundreds were injured, and at least 16 people are known to have died.

The university is in the predominantly Muslim north of the country.

Boko Haram is a jihadist group who is waging war on Nigeria's federal government. They want all Muslim prisoners held by the government to be released and for sharia law to be imposed on all of Nigeria, the most populous nation in Africa.Boko Haram has been responsible for over 450 killings this year alone, mostly Christians and government officials.A Christmas Day suicide bombing of a Catholic church in Madalla near Nigeria's capital killed at least 44 people. In January, a coordinated assault on government buildings and other sites in Kano took at least 185 lives.

In a separate attack earlier in the week, Boko Haram claimed responsibility for a suicide car bombing at the offices of the influential newspaper ThisDay in Nigeria’s capital Abuja and an attack on an office the publication shared with others in the city of Kaduna. Seven people died. Boko Haram stated that this is going to be part of an ongoing campaign against newspapers and journalists who 'defame Islam' or write articles criticizing the movement:

Nigeria's President Goodluck Jonathan has called on Nigerians to join forces against terrorism as he visited the Abuja offices of the newspaper This Day that were destroyed in a bomb attack this week.

During his visit Saturday, Mr. Jonathan said the country is pouring every possible resource to fight the militant Islamist group Boko Haram, which has claimed responsibility for the blast. The president did not rule out the possibility of negotiating with the group.

“You see when you have a terror situation, you also look at the global best practice all over the world. Most countries passed through that, just like in war situations, you may dialogue [or] you may not dialogue, depending on the circumstances. But we will exploit every means possible.''

President Jonathan said that a terror attack on any part of Nigeria is an attack on all Nigerians and the world.

The owner of the newspaper, Nduka Obaigbena, said the attack was an assault on free speech, which, he said, must be defended.

“As I have said before, what is not worth dying for is not worth living for. We will defend free speech; we will defend the constitution. We will publish the truth. No matter what, we will never surrender.''

Nigeria has the misfortune to be located on what have aptly been called Islam's bloody borders. The North of the country is primarily Muslim, the rest is Christian and animist. As the eighth largest oil exporter in the world Nigeria represents a rich prize for the jihadis if they can take it over, as well as a strong base in West Africa.

Silent Scream; The Sudan Ethnically Cleanses Its Christians

The government of the predominantly Muslim nation of Sudan has stripped its 500,000 to 700,000 Christians of citizenship and has put them on notice that they have one week to leave the country. Even sub-jim crow dhimmi status is to be denied them.

According to an ENI report, the government of Sudan has declared that all whose “parents, grandparents or great grandparents [were] born in the South Sudan or [who] belong to any southern ethnic group” are no longer citizens of Sudan and must leave the Sudan by April 8..or else.

There's more to this than meets the eye, of course.

The Sudan has always been a borderland between Arab and black African, between slavemaster and slave. And increasingly, between Muslim and Christian. During the decades long jihad by the Sudan between the early 1980 and today against the black Africans to the east in Darfur and in the south, conservative estimates put the death toll at over 2 million. The Sudan's President Omar Al-Bashir has already been indicted by the International Criminal Court for genocide, something the Arab League has thumbed their collective noses at, with al-Bashir is able to freely attend meetings and travel all over the region without fear of arrest. The charges he was indicted for, the mass rapes, the slavetaking, the wanton murders make what's going on now in Syria look like a particularly sedate bridge party.

In July 2011, the jihad officially ended when the largely Christian South Sudan achieved independence, although sporadic attacks by al-Bashir's military and aircraft still continue in places like the Nuba Mountains and along the South Sudan borders.

Due to the discord caused by the breakaway, al-Bashir is under pressure to turn the Sudan into a extremist fundamentalist, Muslim Brotherhood ruled Islamist state.

The key figure involved is a Muslim cleric by the name Hasan al-Turabi, who leads the Sudanese branch of the Muslim Brotherhood. Al-Turabi is an interesting figure, rather like our old friend the late and unlamented Imad Mugniyeh in that he has the ability to transcend the usual Sunni/Shiah divide and stay on good terms with a lot of different players and factions.

Al-Turabi comes from an influential and wealthy family and has a legal background, having studied at Khartoum University, the University of London and, finally, at the Sorbonne in Paris.

As what passed for the Sudan's attorney general, al-Turabi has been credited both with starting the civil war by forcing the introduction of sharia law into the Sudan in 1983 and with providing its religious wrapping, that of jihad. It was al-Turabi's brother-in-law, Sadeq al-Mahdi, was the Sudan's dictator during the early stages of the civil war from 1985 until 1989, when the current strongman Lt.-Gen. Omar al-Bashir overthrew al-Mahdhi in a military coup with al-Turabi's assistance.

In the past, he's been an ally of secular dictators like Saddam Hussein, as well as terrorist groups like al-Qaeda. He was on good terms with Osama bin Laden (bin-Laden reportedly was married to one of Turabi's nieces), remains on excellent terms with current al-Qaeda head Ayman Zawahiri and was instrumental in inviting them to come to the Sudan and set up training camps during the Clinton years.

He's also on good terms with Shiite entities like Iran and Hezbollah, and was instrumental in cementing the alliance between Iran and the al-Bashir regime.

The Iranians already have an arms factory in the Sudan to supply Hamas and their allies in Somalia, Yemen and Central Africa. If my sources are correct, they also maintain training camps staffed by Iranian Revolutionary Guards and Hezbollah members, some of whom have been killed by Israeli air strikes on arms convoys headed north in the desert towards Sinai and Gaza.

What al-Turabi and his allies want from Bashir is a full on Muslim Brotherhood- ruled sharia state, comparable to Iran, Gaza,Saudi Arabia or Afghanistan under the Taliban.

After South Sudan seceded, the Islamists demanded that Bashir implement this, and have pledged to drive him from power if he doesn't. They formed a party headed by al-Turabi known as the Islamic Constitution Front and drafted a sharia-based constitution that the imam of Khartoum’s Grand Mosque endorsed saying Bashir must “either rule by Islam or go.”

Picture if you will the beginnings of a Muslim Brotherhood ruled caliphate, with Libya and the Sudan's oil wealth combined with Egypt and Gaza's ' manpower and strategic locations..especially if it's allied with a Shi'ite bloc consisting of Iran, Lebanon and Syria.

That's what al-Turabi has been working for and what he may end up being instrumental in creating.

The ethnic cleansing of over half a million Christians is only a first step.

What's notable about this is the hideous silence. There's little or nothing being reported in the media on this. For all the noise about the new Responsibility To Protect Doctrine that was evoked on Libya, the United Nations has nothing to say about what's happening in the Sudan, even though it violates the organization's own charter.

No one is talking about a no-fly zone to protect black Christians under air attack in South Sudan by the Bashir regime, even though our huge air base in Djibouti is within flying distance. The infamously misnamed UN Human Rights Commission is preoccupied with Israel to the point of derangement, and the Muslim countries running it will see to it that it stays that way.

And President Obama is utterly silent. No speeches, no talk of sanctions or aid to the Sudan's Christians, not even any outrage expressed ....not a word.

I've been following what's been going on in the Sudan for quite some time. For all the demonization of Western Imperialism so popular these days, it was those hated imperialists that largely destroyed the slave trade in the 1870's and brought a measure of peace, civil order and decency to the country for a brief time. It is our supposedly more modern and compassionate societies that have seen the horror that has gone on in Darfur and in the South Sudan and done nothing...except react with silence.

That silence comes from fear of offending Islam, no matter how egregious and hateful the actions of a significant number of its followers become and no matter how deeply those actions offend our civilized norms. In the case of President Obama, it undoubtedly comes from his administration's deep seated policy of encouraging Islamists, specifically the Muslim Brotherhood. It reminds me of nothing so much as the1930's, when the appeasers in Britain and here in our own country reacted with the same indifference while Hitler armed his legions for conquest and ethnically cleansed Germany's Jews.

There will be a price for us ignoring the cries of our brothers. I believe in a just G-d who does His own accounting in His own time, and the Christians of the Sudan are going to be set down in those eternal records as a debt for us to pay in the future. We may not care for what that repayment, with interest entails.

Nigeria Bleeds..176 Killed On Islam's Bloody Borders

http://i.infoplease.com/images/mnigeria.gif

Earlier this month, Christians were given an ultimatum by the Islamist group Boko Haram and its various affiliates to leave Northern Nigeria on pain of death.

This weekend, Boko Haram struck in a series of coordinated attacks that left over 176 Christians dead and scores wounded in the northern city of Kano. The Islamists targeted several police stations and other public buildings, including the building housing the assistant inspector general of police. And of course, churches, businesses and private home belonging to Christians were attacked, with bloody results.

This happened not in some remote backwater but in Kano, Nigeria's second largest city with a population of over 9 million.

There has been continuous violence in Northern Nigeria for years, ever since the country became independent in 1960. The most populous nation in Africa and the eight largest oil exporter in the world, it is almost a poster case for what commonly happens along what many demographers and historians have called 'Islam's bloody borders'.

The north is mainly Muslim and is fairly underdeveloped while the rest of the country is Christian or animist and has the oil wealth.

A century ago, there were very few Christians in Nigeria, except for a few coastal enclaves; most of today's Nigerian Christians' families were either Muslims or followers of tribal religions not so long ago. The line between Islam and Christianity has continued to march north and as this process has continued, Nigeria's Islamists have repeatedly called for Islamic rule and sharia over the entire north, and used violence to attempt to drive the increasing numbers of Christians out by force.

Just last Christmas Day, Boko Haram (the name loosely translates as 'western education is forbidden') bombed a church near Abuja that killed 43 people and carried out an August 26th suicide bombing of the United Nations building in the capital that murdered 24 people.

Adding to Muslim unrest, the current President Goodluck Jonathan is a vocal Christian from the south who took over from ailing President Umaru Yar'Adua when he died in office. In 2011, Jonathan became the first ever sitting Nigerian president to run for re-election, which he won handily. His election victory was greeted by rioting by Muslims in the north.

There are various analysts and pundits writing for the dinosaur media who are referring to what happened this weekend as 'unrest' based on the Nigerian government's cutting of the government fuel subsidy. Some, like CNN's Fareed Zakaria are typically attempting to spin this away from a problem with Islam-based terrorism as the harbinger of a 'Nigerian Spring' based on social disquiet, forgetting that unlike Libya, Tunisia and Egypt, the Nigerians just elected a president a little over a year ago.

Make no mistake...this is about Islam and its interaction with the 'other'.

Following this weekend's attacks, President Jonathan visited Kano, declared a state of emergency and pledged to to fight the insurgency.

“They are no spirits,” Jonathan said of Boko Haram after his Kano visit yesterday. “Look at your neighbors and know what they do, and if there’s any suspicious movement, inform security agencies.”

The problem, and one that has become increasingly more evident is that there are some elements in Nigeria that have been aiding and abetting Boko Haram. No insurgency of any kind in modern times can thrive without the support of a good number of the people within its operational bases - insurgencies need a secure source of money, arms and recruits as well as safe havens to train.Even though many Muslim leaders officially disavow Boko Haram, there is a wide spread belief in Nigeria that a significant Muslim element look the other way at best and provide a welcoming environment for them at worst, with the idea of dislodging a democratically elected non-Muslim government by making Nigeria as it is ungovernable. Rooting them out is going to be the real challenge, and there's a definite possibility it could lead to a second Nigerian civil war between the Hausa-Fulani Islamists and the Christians and animists.

The Ivory Coast: The West Fights A War For Muslim Jihad

The latest manifestation of dhimmitude and the so-called International community's use of humanitarian NewSpeak to promote it is occurring in the Ivory Coast, a small nation in West Africa.

There's a civil war in the Ivory Coast between Muslims and Christians, and the UN, most notably France, is using its armed forces to back the Muslim jihad and ensure that the Ivory Coast becomes part of Dar Islam.

After independence in 1960, the Ivory Coast, a former French colony, was considered one of Africa's success stories. The country is the largest cocoa producer in the world, received a decent amount of foreign aid from France and the UN and was relatively prosperous.

Unfortunately, that prosperity attracted huge amounts of Muslim migrants, mostly from Mali, Niger and Borkina Faso.In 1957, Muslims barely made up 20 percent of the country. By the 90's, they were close to 50% of the population.

That division led to a civil war in 2002-2003 between Christians and Muslims that ended with a peace agreement and an election in 2007, when Laurent Gbagbo, a Christian, became president with 46% of the vote.

The latest election, between Gbagbo and Muslim Alassane Ouattarra ended up disputed. Under Ivory Coast law, both the president and his parents have to be native born. Alassane Ouattarra was born in the Ivory Coast, but his father wasn't which legally disqualified him from holding office. He ran for office anyway despite a Supreme Court ruling barring him.

Large numbers of Muslim immigrants who were not legally qualified to vote backed Ouattarra, and he 'won' the election. The invalid votes were thrown out by the constitutional council, which determined that there was sufficient evidence of vote-rigging in the northern part of the country controlled by Islamists to call the election for Gbagbo, the incumbent president. But the UN 'certified' Ouattarra's election anyway,( with Susan Rice, Obama's UN Ambassador playing a prominent role), allowed Ouattarra to appoint ambassadors and a new constitutional council loyal to him. And they began putting pressure and economic sanctions on the Ivory Coast and Gbagbo to knuckle under, as Muslims in the north began rioting and the civil war restarted.

Of course, when you delve a little deeper, you find out that there are significant financial incentives for the French and certain other nations to turn power over to Ouattarra and the Muslims.

When Gbagbo refused to bow and it became obvious that the Muslim rebels could never take the country by themselves, the UN intervened militarily on the side of Ouattarra based on some dubious claims of atrocities committed by Gbagbo's forces made by the Muslims that are still being 'investigated' by the ICC.

On the other hand, we know for certain Ouattara's forces massacred a 1,000 Christians with no condemnation whatsoever. All under the auspices of the UN.

Let's be clear...Gbagbo is no saint, but he is the democratically elected president according to his country's laws. And even more important, he's not attempting to make the Ivory Coast into another Darfur in the name of Islam.

The end game in the jihad appears to have occurred today, when French forces captured Gbagbo, along with his wife and son - and turned them over as prisoners to Ouattarra's forces.

As an interesting coincidence, the push by the UN and the 'arrest' of Gbagbo occurred just as US Senator James Inhofe was starting to ask some embarrassing questions about the Ivory Coast and calling for hearings.

There is a de facto civil war in Africa all along what has aptly been termed Islam's bloody borders. Making all of Africa part of Dar Islam is part of the Islamist agenda, and a takeover of the Ivory Coast is a significant coup for them.

It's also yet another dangerous manifestation of the UN's selective application of the 'Responsibility to protect' doctrine ( R2P) .

Apparently some animals are more equal than others more worthy of 'protection, and democracy is what you want it to be when it comes to the UN.
