Jordan has sealed its borders, closed its airport and closed the port of Aqaba after three terrorist bombings at after 3 suicide bombers set off explosions at three five-star hotels in central Amman Wednesday night at the US-owned Radisson Hotel, the Grand Hyatt and Days Inn Hotel, patronized by tourists and foreign contractors going in and out of Iraq.

At least 23 deaths have been confirmed by our sources, and over 150 people injured in the blasts, which were spaced minutes apart...a typical terrorist tactic to ensure maximum carnage.

Muhammed Ali Receives Medal Of Freedom Award

Muhammed Ali received the Medal Of Freedom from President Bush today in his first public appearence in five months. This is the highest civilian honor the United States can bestow. I had seen various stories about the Champ's deteriorating health recently, but Ali came through like the Champ he's always been, wisecracking with the President and standing unaided throughout the ceremony to applaud the other recipients.

As to the “French” “youth”, a reader in Antibes cautions me against characterising the disaffected as “Islamist”. “Look at the pictures of the youths,” he advises. “They look like LA gangsters, not beturbaned prophet-monkeys.”

Leaving aside what I’m told are more than a few cries of “Allahu Akhbar!” on the streets, my correspondent is correct. But that’s the point. Whitewashing terrorists and their symphatizers

One of the postergirls of the anti-Israel left is an interesting character named Rachel Corrie, who was accidently killed when getting in the way of an Israeli bulldozer involved in collapsing tunnels used to smuggle arms and explosives to Palestinian terrorists involved in murdering Israel's civilian population. She was part of a concerted operation by the International Solidarity Movement, which is on record as supporting the killing of Israeli civilians as a `tactic for liberation'.

She's been the subject of a hit play in London, become a small time cottage industry with a plethora of tee shirts, hats, posters and watches being sold with her image and even sparked a fundraising `tour' by her parents. Needless to say, none of the Rachel Corrie merchandise features the above ABC news photo of a hate filled haridan burning an American flag at a Hamas rally.

Professor Steven Plaut, in response to the Corrie family's recent open letter "A Call to Action; Rachel’s Words Live," wrote an excellent short piece on Rachel Corrie's actual history and affiliations. Rachel Corrie hated America and was nothing less than a classic anti-semite, which she attempted to mask by turning her Jew hatred into `anti-Zionism'. I'd like to feel symphathy for her demise,but frankly, I think she's better off and doing less harm by not being around.

In a spirit of fairness, I thought I'd contribute my own idea for merchandising her image..her real image that is.

Muslim Riots In France Continue, Spread...

Le Jihad Francais shows no signs of abating...if anything,it's getting worse and spreading throughout the country.Top News Article | Reuters.co.uk Even al-Reuters has belatedly begun to recognize that there is something of an Islamic element involved in all the mayhem.

In the latest outbreaks, which have spread all over France, the number of torched cars has reached over 1,400, and shots continue to be fired on policemen and firemen.
Numerous buildings have been burned to the ground, including schools, shops and public buildings, along with (of course) any buildings with any connection to Jews or Judaism, including two synagogues.

All commuter trains and buses into the riot areas have been stopped, after a umber were torched by the Muslim rioters.

French prosecutor-general Yves Bot reported that, far from being spontaneous outbreaks, there was an organized hand and a strategy behind the riots. Witnesses reported vehicles without number-plates distributing petrol bombs, a fuel bomb factory was discovered Sunday in Paris with 150 bottles and gallons of gasoline ready to distribute to the bands of arsonists and rocks and masks to hide rioters’ faces were also stockpiled. And a sophisticated network of communications between the rioters, using cell phones, text messaging and the internet has come to light.

Chirac still either can't or won't take the decisive actions necessary to curb the violence. Instead, Chirac attempted to use the Union of Islamic Organizations in France, UOIF, which issued a fatwa on Nov. 6 forbidding Muslims to seek “divine grace” by blindly attacking private and public property and urging meditation and calm.

The very next night, the bands of marauding Muslim youths extended their areas of attack from outlying city districts to urban centers and started shooting at police officers.

French police are still under orders not to open fire unless fired on first. No names have been released of ringleaders despite several hundred arrests.

An interesting slogan used in Le Jihad Francais that has emerged refers to Paris as Baghdad-on-the Seine..which should give a clue to Chirac that his efforts to appease the Muslim world and his Islamic population during the last three years by ignoring the jihad against France's Jews, opposing the war in Iraq and funding Palestinian terrorism have been in vain.

But I wouldn't count on it.

Chirac still appears to courting his domestic Muslim population and the Arab world overseas by witholding the force required to deal with what is becoming an actual civil war. The police, firemen and paramedics are no match for level of violence and anarchy. The Chirac-de Villepan government is still distance itself from interior minister Nicolas Sarkozy’s provocative comments on dealing with what he called “scum”. France’s leaders, like the British and Dutch, are clinging to the hope that sympathetic dialogue with moderate Muslims will calm the street, despite all the evidence that radical, activist Muslims do not heed government appointed Islamic 'authorities' and `councils'.


The power behind this is beginning to emerge as the very organization that has for several years been recruiting young fighters in French Muslim ghettos to fight al Qaeda’s wars against the West in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Iraq and other sectors.

There are French intelligence reports which estimate that al Qaeda has recruited in France between 35,000 and 45,000 fighters and has organized them in military-style units. They are controlled from local and district command centers under the organization’s national French command.

If so, the war may be beginning - not just in France but in the rest of Europe too, with a covert group of trained and indoctrinated Islamic terrorists loyal to al Qaeda buried inside Europe being turned against the continent, starting in France.

Aussies Swoop Down on Muslim Terrorists

N THE biggest counter-terrorism operation ever mounted in Australia, police arrested at least 16 Islamic radicals in Melbourne and Sydney over an alleged plot to attack civilians in the name of jihad.

Head of the group was Melbourne Jihad Imam Abu Bakr, a self-described fan of our pal Osama bin-Laden. The police found detailed plans and chemicals used to make explosives.

So what does all this really signify? As Spencer notes, anyone who thinks that the riots have something to do with economic `conditions' is simply kidding themselves. If that were true, the rioting would NOT be confined to the Islamic sections of France..though to read most of the Main Stream Media, you'd have to look carefully to determine the Islamic connection.

Muslims are also rioting in Alborg and Copenhagen in Denmark, though that story has been eclipsed by the events in France.

This is merely the logical outcome of European (and French in particular) policies since the `70s that aligned Europe with the Islamic world. Bat Yeor's book `Eurabia' is a particularly good source on this.

Columnist Mark Steyn, whom I ordinarily agree with, said in a radio interview yesterday (Hugh Hewitt, for those of you in America) that this was the start of the 'Eurarabian war' and that Europe was `first in line' before America.

Actually, Steyn is incorrect about Europe being `first in line', in my opinion. First in line was Israel, second in line was Europe's Jews and the Europeans are third.

Every bit of terrorist tactics now being used against the West was perfected in use against Israel. And if you look at what's going on there now...the rocket attacks, homicide bombings against targets like markets, driveby shootings,stabbings and kidnappings.you can get a pretty good idea of what's in store for us down the line.

Another interesting sidelight is the fact that as Israel has walled itself off,the terrorists have adapted by using `safe houses' within the country as launching points for terrorist outrages..just as local Muslims are the shock troops of the European Jihad.

The Europeans, with France in the forefront, have supported Palestinian jihad against Israel and pretty much ignored the Islamic assault on Europe's Jews except for a great deal of lip service. Obviously, the hope was that by `giving them the Jews', the Europeans could purchase peace. It has proven to be a bankrupt hope, and those particular chickens are now coming home to roost.

The Jews, once again, have played the role of society's canary in the coal mine.

Thanks to President Bush's total failure to police America's borders, to stop the Saudis from funding jihadist indoctrination, hiring American political figures with government access as shills and sending Saudi trained Imams here to America to recruit, or even to challenge American Muslims to take sides in this war, we can look forward to our own place in line in the near future unless drastic measures are taken.

In France,the current riots are a trial run, to see if Muslims can get more concessions and less supervision from the French government so the Islamists can prepare for the next, more serious battle. And the rematch will come, depend on it.

Dar Islam is the goal - jihad is the tool. Remember that.

Apparently the adherants of the Religion of Peace have decided to move beyond merely burning police cars and looting and have moved on to shooting atpolice and fireman and taking on buses and commuter trains.

An appeal by Le President Chirac was ignored as the violence continues to ramp up.

French member of Parliament Philippe de Villiers, who has said he wants to "stop the Islamization of France," told RTL radio that the problem stemmed from the "failure of a policy of massive and uncontrolled immigration."

A 15 year old Palestinian teen is to be charged with attempted murder for stabbing a 28 year old Israeli woman in the face in a terrorist assault in Jerusalem.

In other news, Israeli Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz and US Secretary of State Condi Rice spoke today and Mofaz reiterated Israel's stance that while Israel would not interfere with the Palestinian `elections', Israel would not do anything to facilitate them, and Hamas could not count on freedom of movement.

One senior official said that Mofaz's promise not to interfere in the elections needed to be defined. It did not mean, he said, that Israel would relax its pursuit of terrorists during the elections, or ease up on wanted Hamas activists because they may be involved in the campaign.

"If someone wanted from Hamas shows up at a checkpoint and says he has to get to a campaign meeting, its not very logical for people to think we will allow this, the official said.

Seems reasonable to me,but perhaps not to the Saudis...uh..I meant the Bush Administration.

Israel and the US, of course, are still waiting for Abbas to `fight terror'. And waiting...and waiting...

Mofaz is in Washington for a 3 day visit, meeting with with Vice President Dick Cheney and National Security Adviser Stephan Hadley as well as Rice.

On Friday, Mofaz is scheduled to meet with with Secretary of Defense Rumsfeld at the Pentagon. This is the first time that Israeli and US defense chiefs have met since the the tiff over Israeli arms sales to China.

The relationship is still not back to normal. Several arms shipments have been blocked, and Israel is being blocked from re-participation in the Joint Strike Fighter project.

My take on it is that it's more oil and the Saudis than arms sales to China.

Australian Parliament passes strict new anti-terrorism laws

Led by PM John Howard, the Australian Parliament in Canberra passed strict new anti-terrorism laws designed to protect the country from terrorist threats from within and without. Of course, the lunatic fringe there protested ..and would probably have continued protesting until a few thousand of their fellow citizens were incinerated in an attack. Paris Riots in the Islamic Arrondisements Continue

For the 7th straight day, riots continue in `La Zone'...the Islamic `suburbs' mostly on the north side of Paris populated by a largely unassimilated Arab population in Paris. CNN.com - Paris braced for more rioting - Nov 3, 2005

The official `explanation' of why the riots have been triggered has to do with the death of two Islamic youths who were fleeing from the police and were electrocuted whenthey hid in a power substation. But the reality is that this has been coming for some time, as the Islamic population of France - and Paris in particular- has become more seperatist and more disgruntled.

The Islamic suburbs of Paris and other large French cities have become known as `La Zone'; depressed areas where Islamic gangs largely rule, Christians and Jews mostly stay out of and the French police only travel in large armed bands. Unemployment in France, high anyway at around 12% is even higher among France's almost entirely unassimilated Islamic population.

Interestingly enough, the CNN article, like articles on this from the BBC and other sources either fail to mention or bury the fact that this is a sectarian riot with a brief reference.

The political subtext of all this is interesting in terms of French politics in that it highlights the rivalry of our old pal, French Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin and the conservative Interior Minister Nicolas Sarkozy, both likely rivals for the presidency in 2007 when Chirac steps down. De Villapin cancelled an overseas trip because of the the French public's dissatisfaction at the government's failure to stop the violence and to shore up his support in the French cabinet,split because of differences between de Villapin and Sarkozy's approach to quelling the riots.

Sarkozy has been much more hardline, labelling the rioters as "scum", saying many of the suburbs need "industrial cleaning" and utilizing the French police in an aggressive manner,including firing tear gas into a mosque where rioters were hiding.

De Villapin was originally much more `politically correct' in his statements and actions, but has lately been trying to appear more hard line as the violence continued (and the polls began going in the other direction!) stating to the French parliament today that "I refuse to accept that organised gangs are laying down the law in certain neighbourhoods."

The violence shows no sign of abating. And it's obvious that France needs to somehow integrate its Muslim population into the French mainstream.

I have been reliably informed that the photos sent to me showing an 8 year old in Iran being punished for stealing bread are not what they were represented to be. They have been removed from the site. Apparently a number of sites, like Little Green Footballs were also taken in.

Joshuapundit regrets this. There are enough genuine horrors going on in the war against jihad and with sharia law without manufacturing them.

The Dewali bombings

I haven't commented on the horrific bombings in New Dehli, India yet, as there has been no official assigment of blame..although the culprits appear pretty obvious.

Dewali is the Hindu Winter festival, with lights, decorations and gift giving and is especially beloved by children...about 20 of the 61 slain were innocent children.

Musharref of Pakistan, to his credit, immediately condemned this brutal operation in the strongest terms. But given the current state of Pakistan, one wonders how widespread the condemnation was among his Pakistani countrymen.

In a new development,Pakistan rejected Indian prime minister Singh’s suggestion of s possible involvement by its nationals in the triple New Delhi bombings that claimed 61 lives last Saturday.

New Delhi’s anti-terrorism chief Karmail Singh, said the attacks were probably coordinated by a single organization but carried out by different units of the group.
