Netanyahu Caves - Israel Releases PA Tax Funds
Israeli PM Benyamin Netanyahu and his inner cabinet have made the decision to resume the release of tax funds to the 'Palestinian' Authority. The funds were suspended after the 'Palestinians' violated the Road Map and the Oslo Accords by making an attempt to bypass negotiations with Israel with an unsuccessful unilateral declaration of statehood at the UN and a successful bid to become a full member of UNESCO.
Th eIsraeli government accompanied the release of th efunds with the feeble threat that the freeze would be implemented again if the 'Palestinians' tried to do an end run around negotiations by going to the UN again.
Only Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman opposed the move, and spoke fairly pointedly about it, but said he would not take his party out of the governmental coalition.
Lieberman said it was a mistake to transfer the money to the PA when President Mahmoud Abbas uses “the money to give stipends and apartments to murderers, and by so doing grants status and honor to the murders of Israelis and Jews, encouraging the next generation to join the ranks of the terrorists.”
He's quite correct about that. The Israelis were forced to watch as Abbas greeted convicted killers freed by Israel as part of the ransom for kidnapped Israeli soldier Gilad Shalit as 'holy warriors' and granted them $5,000 apiece and a house. All of them received a salary from the PA while they were incarcerated. The message this sends to the 'Palestinians' is that Jew killing pays rather well, that it's something to aspire to and that the Israelis are willing to put up with it.
No doubt that Netanyahu came under considerable pressure to take this step, including from people clueless enough to make the argument that weakening Abbas and the PA was helping Hamas. They seem not to have noticed that Fatah and Hamas have resolved their differences and are now implementing the unity agreement they signed in Cairo.
However, I wouldn't be surprised if Netanyahu obtained a quid pro quo behind the scenes, most likely from the Obama Administration for acquiescing to this folly.
Britain Closes UK Iranian Embassy, Orders Diplomats To Leave
In retaliation for the attack on Britain's embassies in Tehran, Britain today ordered the Iranian consulate in London shut down and expelled its diplomats, saying the attacks could not have taken place without the regime's connivance.
The UK has already removed all of its diplomatic personnel from Iran and urged any British subjects in Iran to leave immediately. British Foreign Secretary William Hague announced the closure of the Iranian embassy once all of Britain's diplomats and their families were safely out of the country.
Hague said it was "fanciful" to think Iranian authorities were unable toprotect the British embassy, or that the attacks took place without "some degree of regime consent."
"This does not amount to the severing of diplomatic relations in their entirety. It is action that reduces our relations with Iran to the lowest level consistent with the maintenance of diplomatic relations," he added.
The Iranians have promised what they termed as 'retaliation'.
Britain is apparently also mulling over a ban on Iranian oil imports, something the US has had in effect for years.Oil is fungible and can be sold and resold to anyone, so such bans are not nearly as effective as, say, a ban on dealing with Iran's central bank. That would actually have some effect since Iran would not be able to process payments for its vital oil exports.

'Mysterious' Blast At Isfahan Severely Damages Iranian Nuclear Facility
There was another huge blast at an Iranian nuclear facility two days ago, a blast that rocked the city of Isfahan and was heard for miles away.
The Iranian regime is characterizing it as an accident, just as they did the blast on November 12 at a key missile and weapons testing base west of Tehran.
After hearing from one of my sources, I can confirm that the 'accident' came from Isfahan's uranium enrichment facility, which was severely damaged. According to my source there were also a number of casualties among the Revolutionary Guard and a couple of key scientists, including one Russian technician.
The London Times confirmed that there was damage to the site using satellite imagery.
The Isfahan plant is - or was- a key part of Iran's nuclear production chain. It went into operation in 2004, using uranium to produce uranium fluoride gas(UF6), which then feeds the centrifuges that enrich the uranium.
Since 2004, huge amounts of uranium fluoride gas had been stockpiled at Isfahan and subsequently sent to the enrichment plants in Natanz and Qom.So if it was sabotage, this was a particularly target rich environment.
The Israelis were customarily closed mouthed about any involvement they might have had, as they always are. But there were a couple of broad hints dropped.
Dan Meridor. the Israeli Intelligence Minister was quoted as saying "There are countries who impose economic sanctions and there are countries who act in other ways in dealing with the Iranian nuclear threat."
Major-General Giora Eiland, Israel's former director of national security, told Israel's army radio that the Isfahan blast was no accident. "There aren't many coincidences, and when there are so many events there is probably some sort of guiding hand, though perhaps it's the hand of G-d."
Looking at the whole series of mysterious explosions affecting Iran's key nuclear facilities, perhaps General Giora is on to something.
I would also remind my readers again of the existence of the Iranian dissident group known as the Mujahadeen-e-Khalq (MEK),an underground organization that is one of the chief opposition groups to the Iranian regime. Both the EU and US have designated MEK a terrorist group, since they've used violence as part of their resistance activities.
Remember that old Middle East proverb - 'the enemy of my enemy is my friend.'

Gov. Chris Christie To Obama: "What The Hell Are We Paying You For?"
“I was angry this weekend, listening to the spin coming out of the administration, about the failure of the supercommittee, and that the president knew it was doomed for failure, so he didn’t get involved. Well, then what the hell are we paying you for?” Christie said in Camden, N.J. " 'It’s doomed for failure, so I’m not getting involved'? Well, what have you been doing, exactly?”
“Why the president of the United States refuses to do this is astonishing to me. If he wanted to run for Senate again and just be one of a hundred, I’m sure he could have gotten reelected over and over again in Illinois,” Christie said. “He’s the one in Washington, and he’s got to get something done here. And it’s not good enough just to say, ‘Well, I’ll get it done after the election.' "
Herman Cain: 'Maybe I Did, But Ain't Nobody's Business'
Herman Cain is reportedly 'reassessing' his campaign after the latest allegations of a 13 year affair with Ginger White, an Atlanta woman surfaced yesterday.
White went public in an interview with an Atlanta TV station, describing the sex as consensual and admitting that she knew Cain was married and that she’s “not proud” of what she described as a long-running affair with the married GOP candidate. “It was pretty simple,” Ms. White said in the interview. “It wasn’t complicated. I was aware that he was married. And I was also aware I was involved in a very inappropriate situation, relationship.”
She also said that Cain had given her money on occasion and produced cellphone bills that included 61 phone calls or text messages to and from a number she said was for Herman Cain’s private cellphone. When the station sent a text message to the number, Cain called back and acknowledged knowing Ms. White.
He then went on to issue the following statement, in an attempt to get out in front of the storm:
Mr. Cain has been informed today that your television station plans to broadcast a story this evening in which a female will make an accusation that she engaged in a 13-year long physical relationship with Mr. Cain. This is not an accusation of harassment in the workplace – this is not an accusation of an assault - which are subject matters of legitimate inquiry to a political candidate.
Rather, this appears to be an accusation of private, alleged consensual conduct between adults - a subject matter which is not a proper subject of inquiry by the media or the public. No individual, whether a private citizen, a candidate for public office or a public official, should be questioned about his or her private sexual life. The public's right to know and the media's right to report has boundaries and most certainly those boundaries end outside of one's bedroom door.
Mr. Cain has alerted his wife to this new accusation and discussed it with her. He has no obligation to discuss these types of accusations publicly with the media and he will not do so even if his principled position is viewed unfavorably by members of the media.
In other words, if you read between the lines, Cain was saying 'maybe I did, but it's nobody's business and I won't discuss it'. One of his handlers obviously got hold of him shortly afterwards and slapped some sense into him and he's since issued an outright denial, essentially saying that either his supporters are going to believe him or Ginger White, which doesn't explain a lot.
It's pretty obvious to me that at least some of the allegations about Cain's zipper problem are true, and I actually agree with him that it isn't anyone else's business - except that's not how presidential campaigns work, and someone cheating on his spouse matters to a lot of people.
In 'The Prince', Machiavelli famously said that only the prince she be allowed to lie as a tool of governing. What he didn't say but ought to be obvious is that the Prince must be able to lie well enough to appear credible, ala' Mr. Clinton.
Cain appears to have failed this elementary test of leadership, as he has so many others.
If he bails, it will be interesting to see where his supporters end up going - to Newt Gingrich or to Michele Bachmann.
Iranians Sack British Embassy In Tehran
Protesters and 'students' attacked and looted the British Embassy in Tehran, throwing rocks, Molotov cocktails and burning documents looted from the offices. They tore down and burnt the British flag and replaced it with the Iranian flag while parading the streets with th eRoyal Crest and a framed portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
Another group of protesters broke into a second British Embassy compound at Qolhak in north Tehran. This compound is now used to house diplomatic staff, a library and a school. The protesters likewise damaged the buildings and took six embassy staff hostage who were later freed by police, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
This 'spontaneous' demonstration was in response to the clerical Council of Guardians approving a parliamentary bill submitted to them by the majlis to expel Britain's ambassador an downgrade diplomatic relations to a charge d'affairs in retaliation for the UK's participation in increased sanctions over Iran's rogue nuclear arms program.
The Iranian government claims that the incident was not planned by them, that they regretted the attacks and were committed to ensuring the safety of diplomats. Considering how well organized and timed the taking of the embassies were and that the Iranian police did absolutely nothing to stop it, it's fairly obvious that this was as 'unofficial' as the taking of the American embassy in 1979.
The Iranian police only forced the 'students' out of the embassies after they had been given plenty of time to loot and destroy them and things looked like they might be going a little further than the regime intended.
Al Jazeera's Iranian correspondant Dorsa Jabbari was fairly emphatic that that the police and the government had prior knowledge of the protest, which was organised by the student arm of the Basij militia, President Ahmadinejad's alma mater.
"Any such action of this could scale can never be independent in the Islamic Republic. These gatherings are always approved by higher officials," said Jabbari.
British Foreign Secretary William Hague issued the following statement:
“It amounts to a grave breach of the Vienna Convention which requires the protection of diplomats and diplomatic premises under all circumstances.
We hold the Iranian government responsible for its failure to take adequate measures to protect our embassy as it is required to do.
I spoke to the Iranian Foreign Minister this afternoon to protest in the strongest terms about these events and to demand immediate steps to ensure the safety of our staff in both embassy compounds.
While he said he was sorry for what had happened and that action would be taken in response, this remains a very serious failure by the Iranian government.
The Iranians, of course, are quite aware that after the gutting of the Royal Navy and its other military forces after a long period of Labour rule, Britain has little capacity to do much more than sputter and voice outrage. You have to wonder what a prime minister from Britain's former days like Benjamin Disraeli or Robert Gascoyne-Cecil transported into today's times would have to say about the spectacle of the British Lion being forced to acquiesce to this sorry situation out of sheer weakness and impotence.
Iran has been a rogue nation that ignores the rules most civilized countries abide by since the Islamic Revolution in 1979, and thus far they've gotten away with it. The end result of this appeasement will not be pleasant.

The Latest LATMA - Cutting Edge Israeli Satire!
A little late, but worth the wait! You have Ronit in hysterically funny bits on on the amended Israeli libel law, The Arab Spring Choir (Egyptian Minister of Conspiracy Theories Halil Majnoun, Libyan rebel leader Adel Herayme and Palestinian Minister of Uncontrollable Rage Tawil Fadiha) peforming a new and very relevant version of Bob Dylan's "The Times, They Are A-Changin'" and Elkanan finally losing it!
Barney Frank Calls It Quits, No Effs, Ends or Butts
Veteran Congressperson Barney Frank has decided to retire. The chief reason was that his specially gerrymandered district is no more, because Massachusetts lost a seat due to the last census.
Frank had a tough fight last time against Sean Bielat in 2010, even though he ultimately won after spending a great deal of money. With a redrawn district and a very different political climate thanks to President Obama's unpopularity, he decided to pull the plug, no double entendre intended.
Barney Frank will be remembered for a number of choice items:
He never found a far left cause he wouldn't support or a taxpayer's dollar he didn't have his greedy little eyes on.
President Obama commented today on Frank's resignation, saying, “This country has never had a congressman like Barney Frank, and the House of Representatives will not be the same without him.”
G-d willing.
However, in fairness, I have to mention one time when Congressman Frank impressed me with his courage. When CNN chief news executive and Leftist talking head Eason Jordan made remarks about how the US military was targeting journalists for murder at the World Economic Forum at Davos in 2005, it was Barney Frank who demanded that Jordan back up his words with proof and led the charge that resulted in Jordan's 'resigning'. Jordan, by the way, was also the one who revealed that CNN slanted coverage and deliberately kept quiet about Saddam Hussein's atrocities in Iraq prior to Desert Storm to maintain 'access to the story'. For that alone, Jordan deserves the Duranty award for abjectly soiling whatever journalistic ethics he may once have had and aiding and abetting the murder of innocents.
Oh, and by the way..while it's good news that Frank is resigning, the next person due to take over as ranking member of the finance committee is race baiter and outright communist Maxine Waters. That is, if she survives her current ethics problems.
Some Ideas To Help The Palestinians With Their Financial Woes
'Palestinian' unelected Prime Minister Selim Fayyad is claiming that the 'Palestinian' Authority is in desperate financial straits:
The Palestinian Authority is "fast approaching the point of being completely incapacitated" by Israel's refusal to hand over tax revenues belonging to the authority, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said Thursday.
Israel's freeze on the taxes and fees it collects for the Palestinian Authority at borders has deprived the government of two-thirds of its normal revenue since Nov. 1, making it hard to pay salaries and fix infrastructure, Fayyad said.
"This is our money," he said. "It has nothing to do with donor assistance or anything like that."
Actually Selim, it is donor money, since all of 'Palestine's' infrastructure and the cost of its government has been derived from donor money ever since Oslo was signed at the beginning of one of the most successful con jobs in history . But aside from that, I sympathize. Who would of thought that the 'Palestinians' announcing Oslo was null and void and deliberately breaking the Oslo Accords and the Road Map they signed by unilaterally going to the UN would lead to such dire consequences!
Seeing as the Fatah ruled PA also gives a nice slice of the aid it receives to the genocidal Hamas and is now putting together a unity government with them, one could hardly expect Israel to finance its enemies, can one?
Nevertheless, the humanitarian in me feels compelled to offer some helpful suggestions to the 'Palestinian' Authority to help improve things:
As a side benefit, doing this might even convince the Israelis that the 'Palestinians' aren't trying to encourage terrorism or make it pay for the perpetrators. Call it a sacrifice for peace,no?
Think what a magnanimous and lovely gesture it would be on the part of the 'Palestinians' to suggest this or to at least acquiesce to it! It would cost them nothing since it's money they're not getting their hands on anyway, it would build good will among Israelis and world opinion and it would help make the impression that the bad old days of the 'Palestinians' committing and abetting terrorist attacks on Israeli civilians are a thing of the past.
Just look at how much mileage the Germans got out of what were relatively scant reparations for what was done to the Jews during the Nazi era! This is nothing less than an opportunity for the 'Palestinians' to score a major propaganda coup.
To summarize, steal less, cut the unnecessary fat in the budget and make a few gestures and concessions towards the Israelis 'for peace'.
Yes, yes, I know, afwan, mafi mushkila Sadiqi, you're most welcome.
After all, I'm here to help. Peace!

Obama's War On The Military: 157 Air Force Majors Terminated Without Retirement Benefits
To free up more money for its domestic agenda, the Obama Administration has been mandating huge cuts and reduction of forces. The latest example is the arbitrary termination of 157 Air Force majors who are near retirement being terminated without pension or medical benefits. All are within six years of the 20 years of service required to qualify for these benefits:
The Chapman University of Military Law and its associated AMVETS Legal Clinic are blowing the whistle on what they say is an injustice set to be perpetrated on 157 Air Force majors on the last day of November.
“The Obama administration has ordered massive reductions in forces, resulting in many officers who are near retirement being involuntarily separated without retirement or medical benefits,” explained institute director Maj. Kyndra Rotunda.
The Department of Defense specifies that service members within six years of retirement normally would be retained and allowed to retire on time with benefits, unless extenuating circumstances exist such as disciplinary issues.
According to lawyers at Chapman and the AMVETS Legal Clinic, the Air Force has deviated from the six-year protection “without any legal authority.”
“At the heart of the matter, is whether the Secretary of the Air Force [Michael Donley] can ignore protections that exist in governing regulations,” Rotunda told The Daily Caller. “The Air Force position is that yes, he may. Our position is that nobody is above the law.”
According to an Air Force spokesman, officers who fail to get a promotion two times in a row are subject to involuntary discharge — unless they are within two years of qualifying for retirement. Officers subject to discharge under what the Air Force calls “selective continuation” are almost always retained until retirement if they appeal for continuation to a selection board, are within six years or less from retirement and have no disciplinary issues or negative information on their records.
However, according to the spokesman Air Force Secretary Donley can deviate from the Department of Defense policy provided he notifies the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Readiness.
Maj. Rotunda disagrees:
According to the Air Force Times, this kind of termination without disciplinary infractions or other derogatory information is almost unheard of even in peacetime, let alone when the country is involved in hostilities.
The DC Caller article cites the case of one of the officers in question,Major Kale Mosley, a combat pilot who is just six months shy of getting his 20 years in. He served in 13 combat zones and was recently deployed in Libya with only 30 hours notice, after which he was sent to Iraq.
Major Mosley received notice of his dismissal from the Air Force the same day he arrived in Iraq.
Had this happened to someone working for a private company, does anyone doubt that the Obama Administration's Department of Justice would be filing a lawsuit in record time?

Despite the Air Forces’ assertion that the dismissals have been kosher, Rotunda noted that based on the Defense Department’s Instruction 1320.08, “derogatory information” is the only reason officers should be terminated, and that budget shortfalls are not one of the instances.
“The Air Force cites budgetary short falls as the reason to terminate them. But that rationale is nowhere mentioned in the regulation,” Rotunda told TheDC. “In this instant, the officers being separated are within six years of retirement and their records do not contain derogatory information. Thus, they should be allowed to remain in service and retire. The defense department’s own regulation does not authorize what the defense department is doing. The Airmen relied on the law when they entered service and now the Secretary wants to change that law, without authority.”

Cairo Rally: 'One Day We'll Kill All Jews'
Fridays in the Muslim world are mosque days, just as Sunday is church day for Christians. And Fridays are also the day for imams and mullahs to whip up crowds to a frenzy against the kuffars, the unbelievers. That's especially true when the Muslim Brotherhood is involved:
A Muslim Brotherhood rally in Cairo's most prominent mosque Friday turned into a venomous anti-Israel protest, with attendants vowing to "one day kill all Jews."
Some 5,000 people joined the rally, called to promote the "battle against Jerusalem's Judaization." The event coincided with the anniversary of the United Nations' partition plan in 1947, which called for the establishment of a Jewish state.
Some of the crowd melted away before the Muslim Brotherhood rally got properly started, but the ones that stayed got a full dose of that ol' time religion, redolent of jihad and Jew hatred:
Speakers at the event delivered impassioned, hateful speeches against Israel, slamming the "Zionist occupiers" and the "treacherous Jews." Upon leaving the rally, worshipers were given small flags, with Egypt's flag on one side and the Palestinian flag on the other, as well as maps of Jerusalem's Old City detailing where "Zionists are aiming to change Jerusalem's Muslim character."
Spiritual leader Dr. Ahmed al-Tayeb charged in his speech that to this day Jews everywhere in the world are seeking to prevent Islamic and Egyptian unity.
"In order to build Egypt, we must be one. Politics is insufficient. Faith in Allah is the basis for everything," he said. "The al-Aqsa Mosque is currently under an offensive by the Jews…we shall not allow the Zionists to Judaize al-Quds (Jerusalem.) We are telling Israel and Europe that we shall not allow even one stone to be moved there."
Muslim Brotherhood spokesmen, as well as Palestinian guest speakers, made explicit calls for Jihad and for liberating the whole of Palestine. Time and again, a Koran quote vowing that "one day we shall kill all the Jews" was uttered at the site. Meanwhile, businessmen in the crowd were urged to invest funds in Jerusalem in order to prevent the acquisition of land and homes by Jews.
Throughout the event, Muslim Brotherhood activists chanted: "Tel Aviv, Tel Aviv, judgment day has come."
Far be it from me to ruin a nice bit of Arab rhetoric, but the Jews have nothing to do with problems in building Egypt, since Egypt settled its 'Jewish question' some time ago and Egypt is as judenrein as Hitler could have wanted. But why quibble about a mere detail like that when a handy and traditional scapegoat is at hand?
Would any religion today but Islam allow a house of worship to be used to promote what amounts to genocide?
Aside from being red meat for the jihad-hungry, Jew-hating masses, this was also a campaign rally for the Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party in the run up to the beginning of Egypt's parliamentary elections.
If they get their expected majority and are able to get the army to cooperate, these are exactly the sort of people President Obama and the State Department characterize as 'moderate' and are working to help rule Egypt and Libya.
Pakistan Shuts Supply Routes Into Afghanistan After NATO Air Attack
Pakistan has given the US an ultimatum to vacate an air base used for drone attacks and shut off the supply routes for NATO forces in Afghanistan in retaliation for what it claims was an unprovoked air attack on Pakistani troops that reportedly killed as many as 28 soldiers.
NATO sources claim that a joint US-Afghan force operating in the Afghan frontier province of Kunar was the first to come under attack and that they responded and called in air cover. It certainly wouldn't be the first time Pakistani forces have fired on US troops near the border.
The Pakistanis have a different story:
"NATO helicopters and fighter aircraft carried out unprovoked firing on two Pakistani Army border posts in Mohmand Agency as a result of which 24 troops embraced shahadat [martyrdom] and 13 were injured," the statement said. "Pakistani troops effectively responded immediately in self defence to NATO / ISAF's aggression with all available weapons."
The Pakistanis are actually claiming that the 40 soldiers stationed at the two outposts were all asleep at the time of the attack.
The Pakistanis immediately ordered the Torkhum Pass closed, thus cutting off about 70% of the supplies en route to our forces in Afghanistan. This has happened several times in the past, with the last occasion happening last year when the Pakistanis closed the Pass for ten days after two Pakistani frontier police were killed under murky circumstances. This, of course, makes the stranded supply trucks sitting ducks for the Taliban.
In addition, the Pakistani government gave the US an ultimatum to vacate Shamsi Air Base in Afghanistan within 15 days. Shamsi is a NATO logistics base and as a key part of the CIA's Predator and Reaper drone strikes campaign in North and South Waziristan, which has become the 'safe' zone for our enemies just over the Afghan border. The Pakistanis are upset because we stopped informing them in advance of upcoming strikes once we discovered they were tipping off our enemies in advance as to when the strikes were coming so they could get safely out of harm's way.
Our commander in Afghanistan, General John Allen predictably responded with the usual apologetic tone, saying, "This incident has my highest personal attention and my commitment to thoroughly investigate it to determine the facts.
"My most sincere and personal heartfelt condolences go out to the families and loved ones of any members of Pakistan Security Forces who may have been killed or injured."
OK, so what likely happened?
Given the absurd Rules of Engagement that would have made their grandfathers who fought WWII shake their heads in disbelief, I doubt our forces fired on the Pakistanis first, especially since the Pakistani troops were in border outposts the Americans undoubtedly knew about rather than shadowy figures scuttling across the ground.
There are two probable scenarios, and one possible one.
It's been well known for a long time that our 'allies' have been in bed with our enemies for quite some time, since a peaceful Afghanistan is not in Pakistan's interest. The border terrain there is rugged, and people like the Haqqani Network and the Taliban operate out of the border areas with impunity since the Pakistanis certainly don't stop them and in a number a cases actually assist them, as they did with the Haqqani Network's raid on Kabul a few months back. It's quite possible that a group of jihadis fired on the American-Afghan force from an area close enough to the border outposts ( with or without the knowledge of the troops stationed there) to convince the US troops that they were being fired on by the Pakistanis, especially since it's happened before.
It's also not much of a stretch that the Pakistanis indeed simply fired on the US forces.
The third, possible scenario is that the Pakistani government actually set this up knowing they would take a few casualties in order to whip up support in the streets for the government and perhaps drain a bit more baksheesh out of the US. Devious, but again, not out of the realm of possibility.

The UK's New Law: Internet Bans For Criminals And "A Wider Group Of Offenders"
The UK has a brand new law that enables police and courts to make use of what are called “cyber sanctions” to restrict access to the social networks and instant messaging services in cases of hacking, fraud and online bullying. Sex offenders and those convicted of 'harassment or anti-social behaviour' also can have their internet access restricted or terminated under the new law.
Officials are now looking into whether "cyber tag" technology could be used to monitor offenders and report to authorities if break their bail or sentence conditions by using the internet.
"The Ministry of Justice and the Home Office will consider and scope the development of a new way of enforcing these orders, using ‘cyber-tags’ which are triggered by the offender breaching the conditions that have been put on their internet use, and which will automatically inform the police or probation service," cyber security strategy said.
It added that if the regime is a success restrictions on internet use could be imposed on "a wider group of offenders".
Police forces across the country will also follow the example of the Met’s Police Central e-Crime Unit by recruiting “cyber specials”; internet experts will be encouraged to volunteer as special constables to help investigate online crime.
And exactly who will that 'wider group of offenders' consist of? People who don't don't hold the proper politically correct view of Islam, perhaps? People who have a differing view on Britons being disarmed, or who dislike the government's economic, immigration or foreign policies? People who have a dissenting view on Britain's participation in the EU? The possibilities are endless once this gets started.
And depend of some or all of these definitions of 'a wider group of offenders' to be instituted. Britain is fast approaching the status of a non-free country.
The Council Has Spoken!! This Week's Watchers Council Results
It was Thanksgiving yesterday, but the Council never sleeps, even with a full load of tryptophan and other holiday substances under its collective belts. As always, the Council has spoken, submitted the votes and the results are here.
This weeks' winner in the Council category,Joshuapundit's Egypt Explodes took a look at the recent turmoil in that country and the chess game now being played by the army and the Muslim Brotherhood over who ultimately takes over. Here's a slice:
...the army is involved in a dispute with various political groups and the army-picked cabinet over ground rules for the drafting of Egypt's new constitution. The army wants provisions that could leave the military essentially free of civilian control, free of any oversight over the army's budget and the 'guarantors' of Egypt's new constitution once it gets written. This, as you might recognize is the old Turkish model, and Egypt's Islamists have no intention of going to the trouble of taking power if the army can legally depose them.
The initial clash came when the Egyptian police attempted to clear out the protesters in Tahrir Square in Cairo. As the police moved towards them the protesters in the front lines used a tactic that worked during the clashes that brought down Mubarak, kneeling in an attitude of Islamic prayer. Last time, the army backed off. This time they didn't.
For the first time since the initial revolt, Egypt's state police force, a symbol of the Mubarak regime was deployed in force, and they were openly backed up by the army. The protesters were badly beaten without any regard for age or sex, and protesters later showed reporters spent shotgun cartridges, bullet casings and empty teargas canisters. Some of the tear gas canisters had been purchased by the Mubarak government from America, the UK and Israel had English and Hebrew markings on them, which caused fresh outrage.
Here's the back story and it's an interesting one. The Brotherhood and other Islamist groups have been a major force in gradually fomenting discontent against the army's rule since it became obvious that the army was not quite ready to completely cave in to Islamist rule.
According to my sources, the Muslim Brotherhood initially instigated the protests after Friday prayers in anger over the army's refusal to obey what amounted to an ultimatum from them to bar ex-members of former Egyptian leader Hosni Mubarak's National Democratic Party from running for office in the upcoming parliamentary elections. They used the excuse of the army's rather heavy handed rule as a sparking point.
In our non-Council Category the winner was Amil Imani's piece in American Thinker, Islam Was Not For Me submitted by The Political Commentator.
Imani, a former Iranian Shi'ite explains how and why he left Islam and why inhis opinion may Iranian Muslims regard islam as part of an alien culture imposed on them by their Arab conquerors.

Fatah And Hamas Cement Unity Deal: "There Are no Differences Between Us"
Fatah's unelected dictator Mahmoud Abbas and Hamas Hamas leader Khalid Masha'al announced today after their meeting in Cairo that they had settled all their remaining differences and are now ready to fully implement their unity agreement.
"We want to assure our people and the Arab and Islamic world that we have turned a major new and real page in partnership on everything do to with the Palestinian nation," Mashaal said.
"There are no more differences between us now," added Abbas, who heads the Fatah movement.
Actually, the main difference was that Fatah was always willing to lie and hide it's ultimate agenda to gullible westerners and Israelis in order to make strategic gains while Hamas as a matter of principle was not. Both of them have always been violent terrorist entities with genocidal intentions towards Israel, but Hamas was simply more open about it.
For Abbas' part, he, his two sons and much of the Fatah old guard have already stolen enough money to keep them in obscene comfort already..probably over a billion in Abbas' case alone. They can always leave and take up their comfortable existence in Europe or the Emirates or even in Jordan as Hamas takes over, since most of them have Jordanian citizenship. The shiny new army General Keith Dayton built for Fatah courtesy of the American taxpayer to 'bolster Palestinian security' will of course come under Hamas command and turn their rifles on Israel, but then that was always going to happen eventually and anyone who supported the creation of that army and says in the future that they didn't see it coming is either a pathetic liar or a naive fool.
What I'm going to watch with interest is whether the EU and President Obama continue to supply aid to the 'Palestinians' now that the Beast is reunited once more. The laws of both entities forbid aid to terrorists or those aiding and abetting them, and Hamas is an officially recognized terrorist group by both America and the EU.
I think I know what the EU's answer will be, but President Obama's will be illuminating, especially to America's Jews with the elections coming up.
I hear Kurz's final words in 'Heart of Darkness' or in the film 'Apocalypse Now' echoing in my head.

A Few Thanksgiving Morsels I hope You'll Enjoy
All the best to my wonderful readers! May you be surrounded by the ones you love. Within, I've enclosed a few Thanksgiving treats I hope you'll enjoy....
El Rushbo tells the real story of Thanksgiving And a few heroes who really deserve our thanks take a little time off to enjoy the day.... And finally, the original Thanksgiving Proclamation by George Washington, 1789: Whereas it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty G-d, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor; and Whereas both Houses of Congress have, by their joint committee, requested me to "recommend to the people of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer, to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many and signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness:" Now, therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the 26th day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being who is the beneficent author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country previous to their becoming a nation; for the signal and manifold mercies and the favorable interpositions of His providence in the course and conclusion of the late war; for the great degree of tranquility, union, and plenty which we have since enjoyed; for the peaceable and rational manner in which we have been enable to establish constitutions of government for our safety and happiness, and particularly the national one now lately instituted for the civil and religious liberty with which we are blessed, and the means we have of acquiring and diffusing useful knowledge; and, in general, for all the great and various favors which He has been pleased to confer upon us. And also that we may then unite in most humbly offering our prayers and supplications to the great Lord and Ruler of Nations and beseech Him to pardon our national and other transgressions; to enable us all, whether in public or private stations, to perform our several and relative duties properly and punctually; to render our National Government a blessing to all the people by constantly being a Government of wise, just, and constitutional laws, discreetly and faithfully executed and obeyed; to protect and guide all sovereigns and nations (especially such as have shown kindness to us), and to bless them with good governments, peace, and concord; to promote the knowledge and practice of true religion and virtue, and the increase of science among them and us; and, generally to grant unto all mankind such a degree of temporal prosperity as He alone knows to be best. Given under my hand, at the city of New York, the 3d day of October, A.D. 1789. And on the lighter side, things that ruin Thanksgiving: Enjoy!

EU Says It Will Reward Abbas For Pretending To Negotiate
No, I'm not exaggerating.
Jordan's King Abdullah just presented a proposal from the EU to unelected 'Palestinian' dictator Mahmoud Abbas with a European initiative for resuming negotiations with Israel, according to the al-Quds al-Arabi newspaper.
The initiative calls for the 'Palestinians' to return to the negotiating table even without their precondition of an Israeli freeze on all development in Judea and Samaria including East Jerusalem in exchange for an EU pledge to support the 'Palestinian' bid for unilateral statehood in the UN if negotiations fail within the next year.
There are no requirements for Abbas to scuttle the alliance of Fatah with the genocidal Hamas, nor any consideration of the fact that this abrogates the Road Map that the EU is also a signatory to as a member of the Quartet.
Naturally, with that kind of deal being offered, there's no incentive for Abbas to enter into any serious negotiations with Israel. All he has to do is show up and stonewall for a year, and he gets what he wants out of the EU.
This is one of the most disgraceful instances of perfidy, appeasement and outright Jew hatred advanced anywhere outside of the Muslim world since the run up to WWII. The EU is essentially saying that it is just fine with breaking its pledged word and supporting the creation an apartheid little reichlet with genocide against Jews as its official policy. And furthermore, not only will they back it with their UN votes, but with their wallets.
Apparently not much has changed since the 1930's in Europe when it comes to Jews.
Not only should the Israelis reject negotiations on this basis out of hand, but they should immediately declare the Road Map null and void and de facto refuse to accept any further EU participation in future negotiations with 'Palestine'.
They've proven themselves politically and morally unworthy of any trust or consideration whatsoever.
Whoopsie! Obama Accidentally Signs Ban On Ties between FBI And Islamist Groups
It went by mostly unnoticed, but President Obama recently signed a continuing resolution in order to avert a government shutdown. Since he was between golf games and vacays, focused onhis upcoming re-election and probably not paying attention, the bill he signed also had something interesting tucked inside it - a legal ban on ties and liaison between the FBI and terrorism-liked Muslim Brotherhood front groups like CAIR and ISNA:
Under Division B, Title II of the bill, under the Federal Bureau of Investigation-Salaries and Expenses section, is the following provision:Liaison partnerships- The conferees support the FBI’s policy prohibiting any formal non-investigative cooperation with unindicted co-conspirators in terrorism cases. The conferees expect the FBI to insist on full compliance with this policy by FBI field offices and to report to the Committees on Appropriations regarding any violation of the policy.
The most obvious group that this will impact is the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), which was named unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation case — the largest terrorism-finance trial in American history.
During the trial, FBI Dallas Agent Lara Burns testified that CAIR was a front for the terrorist group Hamas.
Following the trial, which resulted in guilty verdicts on all counts and lengthy prison terms for all five Holy Land executives, the FBI was forced to cut ties with CAIR – a decision that CAIR claimed would hurt local communities and that prompted other Muslim groups, like the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC), to threaten to stop cooperation with the FBI unless CAIR was reinstated.
In a February 2010 letter to members of Congress, Assistant Attorney General Robert Weich forwarded evidence submitted by federal prosecutors in the trial and court testimony concerning CAIR’s ties to the Hamas-controlled Palestine Committee and that committee’s role in supporting Hamas.
Stung by their loss of access to federal law enforcement agencies, some of the Islamic organizations named as unindicted co-conspirators in the case unsuccessfully sued to have their names removed from the list. In a 2009 unsealed decision by federal Judge Jorge Solis, the court found that the government should have submitted the unindicted co-conspirators list under seal, and ordered the list resealed (a hollow victory since the list is readily available), but declined to remove the groups and individuals named.
And it wasn't just CAIR. In his decision, Judge Solis also singled out the Islamic Society of North America (ISNA) and the North American Islamic Trust (NAIT), which owns the property to more than one-quarter of all mosques in North America. Solis wrote in his decisdion that the government had “produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR, ISNA and NAIT with HLF, the Islamic Association for Palestine (‘IAP’), and with Hamas.” He also wrote: “The Muslim Brotherhood supervised the creation of the ‘Palestine Committee,’ which was put in charge of other organizations, such as HLF, IAP, UASR, and ISNA.” And also: “During the [1993 Philadelphia] conference, Palestine Committee members discussed using ISNA as official cover for their activities.”
A number of CAIR officials who were named as unindicted conspirators in the first HLF trial such as CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad and current CAIR executive director Nihad Awad were scheduled to be indicted and tried in a second HLF trial in which conviction would have been a snap given Judge Solis' earlier decision. However, if you'll remember, on March 31of this year a "Declination of Prosecution of Omar Ahmad," was sent from Assistant Attorney General David Kris to Acting Deputy Attorney General Gary Grindler. The Obama Department of Justice subsequently filed declinations to prosecute on most of the rest of the individuals cited as unindicted co-conspirators and ended the case, essentially letting CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT off the hook, as well as the executives involved.
At the above link, you'll find a particularly juicy clip of Attorney General Eric Holder denying to House Judiciary committee member Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX)that the Obama Administration scuttled the investigation against these Muslim Brotherhood fronts for political considerations.Jim Jacks, who they mention in the exchange was the career federal attorney who successfully prosecuted the first round HLF trials and successfully defended the appeal by the unindicted co-conspirators in the 5th circuit. A report issued at the time quoted anonymous sources and described how Jacks and local FBI agents were outraged at the Obama Administration's decision not to go after Ahmad and to end its prosecution of the case against the Muslim Brotherhood fronts.
Treason? No,absent a declaration of war. But were these actions detrimental to US security? Definitely.
It will be interesting to see if the President singles out this provision with a signing statement next time it comes up.
