Truth Triumphs In Alaska as GOP Wins Another Senate Seat

http://cdn01.dailycaller.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/08/dan-sullivan-family--e1408542740909.jpg

According to data from the Associated Press, Dan Sullivan is the new senator from Alaska. He beat incumbent Mark Begich by almost 4 points, 49% to 43.5%.

This gives the GOP a total of 8 senate seats, and probably 9 come January when the Louisiana run off is completed. And Virginia, one of the biggest surprises of last night will probably go to recount, with only six tenths of a percentage point separating incumbent Democrat Mark Warner and GOP challenger Ed Gillespie. Unfortunately, I don't believe state law allows for a run off there, since a libertarian candidate funded by Democrats took 4% of the vote that would mostly have gone to Gillespie.

I admit to more than a casual interest in this race. Having spent some time in Alaska, I have a real affection for the state and its people. It truly is a unique and special place, where a person's character and willingness to work hard still count for a great deal.

That's why I was fairly certain that Mark Begich lost the race the day he ran a despicable ad blaming Sullivan for the murder of two seniors and the hideous rape of their granddaughter because Sullivan as attorney general supposedly okayed a plea bargain that gave the criminal a light sentence which allowed him to get out of jail early and murder and rape again.

This was a particularly egregious lie, since the original crime was tried in 2009 he was still serving in the Marines in Iraq and was not yet Attorney General. And the plea bargain itself only occurred because of a clerical error that took place before Sullivan became attorney general.

Even worse was what happened afterwards. The Sullivan campaign responded quickly to this malicious fiction, and even received support from Alaska's current attorney general Michael Geraghty who said bluntly that the ad had 'no basis in fact.'

“The State is actively prosecuting the person who has been charged with those crimes,” he said. “Drawing publicity to the case in a political ad, and highlighting the home where a family suffered such a horrific tragedy, is inappropriate and offensive.”

At that point, the attorney representing the family of the victims contacted both campaigns and asked them to take down the ads out of compassion for their suffering and to avoid poisoning the jury pool.

The Sullivan campaign took their ads down immediately. The Begich campaign continued to run theirs until they received an actual cease and desist letter from the attorney.

“The family directly and without question has told your campaign they want no part of this,” wrote the lawyer, Byron Collins. “You are tearing this family apart to the point that your ad was so shocking to them they now want to permanently leave the state as quickly as possible. Again, to be perfectly clear, it was your ad that shocked them.”

Begich was willing to exploit the pain of a traumatized rape victim and the pain of a suffering family as well as risk having a murderer and rapist go free because of the effect on potential jurors simply to try and keep his seat - a position he only acquired because of the bogus corruption accusations against GOP incumbent Ted Stevens that were later thrown out of court.

Begich never expressed any remorse whatsoever for doing what he did.

Senate Majority leader Harry Reid was willing to spend millions in Alaska, mostly coming from the Democrat PAC Alaska First to keep this creature in his seat, one reason this was even as close as it was. Begich was able to stick 16 field offices anchored in rural, hard-to-reach communities with a majority of Alaska natives, and rest assured that some walking around money was paid for turnout in these areas, a traditional source for Democrat votes in Alaska. Begich made a point of attacking Sullivan as 'not a real Alaskan' and 'out of touch with Alaska's native communities.'

Unfortunately for Begich, a lot of Alaskans respected Sullivan's record as former Alaska Department of Natural Resources commissioner which brought him into direct contact with various tribal associations. And he is married to Julie Fate Sullivan, an Alaska native who hails from a prominent Athabascan family and once worked Senator Ted Stevens, which made last night something of a vindication for the late Senator. She frequently appeared with Sullivan at campaign events.

Ultimately, most Alaskans decided that someone who epitomized what they regarded as Alaskan values was more of a real Alaskan than someone who merely happened to be born there.

Dan Sullivan will join other veterans of the Iraq War like Joni Ernst and Tom Cotton as strong voices for national defense and patriotism. Mark Begich will crawl back under the rock from which he emerged.

The Left's Latest Big Lie : "Ebola Outbreak Is Due To GOP Cuts"

"Republican Cuts Kill" is the title of this ad from The Agenda Project, a 501(c)4 organization that is placing ads in the battleground states. According to the group's founder Erica Payne the entire blame for the Ebola crisis belongs to evil Republican lawmakers, who have cut spending to the bone, stopping programs that could have dealt with the Ebola outbreak.

It is a cynical, outrageous lie, designed solely for partisan political purposes to be brayed over and over again by the usual jackasses while protecting the real culprits.

Here are some charts and figures that prove it ( h/t Nick Gillespie at Reason.Com

 Kaiser Family Foundation

Look at the numbers. Instead of all these mystical 'cuts', what we see is a growth in spending under Republican control that gradually leveled off once President Barack Hussein Obama and a veto proof Democrat congress came to town.

You see any major cuts there, except the proposed one in 2015...that came from President Obama's proposed budget?

 Centers for Disease Control

The above is Centers for Disease Control budget trend. Just look at increase between 2013 and 2014, especially in the Prevention and Public Health Fund. What cuts? Now the proposed 2015 spending amount is lower than 2014, but where is that coming from? Yes, President Barack Obama's budget plan.

What about the the National Institutes of Health (NIH), whose development of new drugs and prevention methods was a victim of the supposed GOP meat cleaver? According to its own budget data, the NIH got something like $23 billion in fiscal 2002 and the amount rose to $30.2 billion in 2009, the years when President George W. Bush was in office, and peaked at $31 billion in 2010. From there, it dropped slightly and ended up at $30.1 billion in 2014...just about the same amount asked to fund the NIH in President Obama's proposed 2015 budget!

So this horse manure about 'Republican cuts' causing the Ebola outbreak is exactly that. It's a squirrel designed to distract people's attention from the real reasons for the health scares in America...political correctness and our open borders.

Would this Erica Payne and her friends ever talk about the six children who have died from Enterovirus D68, or EV-D68, which just coincidentally has had a major outbreak in Central America shortly before the recent surge of illegal aliens across our porous borders? The Obama Administration is refusing to tell the American people or congress where they shipped massive numbers of illegal immigrant children, but there are significant numbers of them in both cities in which the current outbreak was first identified, Kansas City, Missouri and Chicago, Illinois, according to local health professionals and press reports.

This disease was first discovered in 1962, but has not been seen in America for 36 years. Now, there are over 500 recent cases here in America - that we know about.

 EV-D68 Central American Countries

And what about the 3,000 U.S. military that have been sent into infected 'hot zones' in Liberia? Just imagine a few of them becoming infected in the confines of a ship or plane bringing them home.

Who gave the orders to send them out, by executive order? Whose administration was it that refused even to consider a travel ban to the afflicted areas? It certainly wasn't the Republicans in congress.

And who was it whose administration quietly abolished CDC quarantine regulations designed to stop an Ebola outbreak here in America back in 2010?

Regardless of what certain people would have you believe, it is this president and his administration's irresponsible, clueless behavior based strictly on partisan politics that is responsible for the epidemics now threatening America.

All the desperate, frothing at the mouth attack ads to the contrary don't change that.

How The Left Views Republicans - As Evil Monsters To Be Murdered With Impunity

I don't know which is more offensive.the sanctioning of brutal violence towards those the left disagrees with or the obnoxious ethnic stereotypes they used as leftist heroes to make it OK.

Hitler and Goebbels, BTW, used exactly the same techniques against Jews and other 'enemies'.

This ad comes from RepublicanZombieDefense.com, a Democrat activist website. There's some money behind them too, based on the production values. Just imagine what a stir this would cause if say, a Tea Party group put this garbage out. That,by the way, is what chiefly annoys me, the double standard.

If a conservative group had done this, it would be screaming headlines and 80% of the media in America would be besieging Mitt Romney demanding he condemn it.

But of course  no  conservative group would put something like this out  because conservatives are the adults in the room as compared with the left's angry children and their predominant theme  'You impede me, therefore I hate you.'

To those on the right side of the spectrum, most of the left are merely misguided and wrong. But to the left, their enemies are evil and worthy only of extermination. And that's exactly how every totsalitarian leftist regime has operated throughout history.

Lenin, Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Pol Pot, the story never changes.

And some commenter today had the nerve to suggest that I hate what he called 'liberals'. Compared to this cute lil' video above.

President Obama's Insulting '2nd Term Agenda' Booklet

One thing about President Obama I've always disliked is a characteristic he shares with much of the left - the belief that everyone's stupid but themselves.

The president recently published a twenty page booklet outlining his agenda for a second term with lots of pictures for whom he obviously considers as the knuckle draggers in flyover country. It's insulting and absurd.

This is the president's 'New Economic Patriotism' he keeps jabbering about...you know, everybody pays more taxes, especially 'the rich'. Except the Obamas and their cronies, that is.

Last year, the taxpayers of the United States spent $1.4 billion solely to maintain the Obamas in the lifestyle they've become accustomed to. This includes the five star vacations, the president's incessant rounds of golf, the numerous parties and junkets, the fees paid to the entertainers at the White House, the inflated staff's salaries, the whole enchilada. By contrast, Britain maintained its entire Royal Family for a mere $57.8 million during the same period. Apparently for President Obama. 'Economic Patriotism' doesn't begin at home.

The president's 7 point plan basically promises more of what we've had during the last four years, except more of it.

He wants to pad the public employee union rolls by several hundred thousand, the better to finance future Democrats.

He spends a lot of time talking about outsourcing while saying nothing about changing the high taxes and stifling government regulations that guarantee it will continue, and even repeats the lie about how he's going to 'end tax deductions for outsourcing' when no such tax deduction exists except in his universe.

He brags about how he's reduced demand for imported foreign oil without mentioning that his economic policies have raised priced to the sky and kept demand low, along with demand for a lot of other things.People out of work in a stagnant economy don't usually fill up their gas tanks with cheerful abandon at $4.50 a gallon.

He claims he wants to invest in wind, solar, and clean coal to reduce demand further, but since we don't yet have sun powered cars or ones with sails, something is apparently lost in translation.

The only thing on the list that could be used to make oil is the coal, and we all know how this president feels about the coal industry.

Meanwhile, oil production on Federal land is declining, lots of our off shore drilling is blocked and the president's EPA is straining at the leash to go after fracking and shut down energy booms like the one in North Dakota if this president is re-elected.

The president little tract also makes much of his bailing out of GM and Chrysler. That gift to his union supporters at the taxpayer's expense cost us over $85 billion that will never be recovered, including a $45.4 billion special tax break for GM the president sneaked through by executive order.

He claims he wants to cut corporate tax rates, cut spending and reduce the deficit. He could have cut corporate taxes a long time ago, cutting spending has not been a hallmark of the Obama Administration to say the least and I seem to recall some verbiage by the president about cutting the deficit some time ago.

Odd how that turned out.In fact, President Obama even disregarded the recommendations of his own deficit-reduction commission!

No matter though. The booklet is saturated with pictures of President Obama beaming down at workers, children and peasants in true Dear Leader style. In fact that's really the booklet's focus,Obama as our feudal Lord and Dear Leader.

Anyone who's reasonably well informed would consider the whole thing a gross insult, but then, that's not the audience it's geared towards.

It says a great deal about President Obama and his contempt for much of the electorate - especially his supporters - that he would issue something like this with an election two weeks off and expect it to fly.

The Sesame Street Obama Campaign Count

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjNwU59clEjHLFk8g4kzxI38ks-is4mBPq9O2Q3GRiuvB0MKc9YM7v2epv7xdxKa7DEM3bE0uZPC9JcI8TfUh5AFK7GR4eW_CtS78CXhx2HfsmwtiVZOkWtsMqUvf12nDjFNlU/s1600/Current+Campaign+Stats.png

By the way, Big Bird has officially demanded that the Obama Campaign cease and desist using him in its attack ads.

This is the man who is charged with leading our nation and is demanding a second term...he's out there talking about protecting Big Bird instead of 23 million unemployed on his watch or why a sitting ambassador and three other Americans were murdered in Libya because their protection was yanked by the state department.

Unbelievable.

Obama Campaign Manager Admits $5 Trillion Attack On Romney Is Bogus

Stephanie Cutter, President Obama's Deputy Campaign manager tried to double talk her way out of it, but she got cornered on CNN and was forced to admit that the '$5 trillion in tax cuts' attack on Romney is bogus, and that the figures the president attempted to pull out of the nether regions of his anatomy are sheer fantasy...just like Mitt Romney said they were.

Nevertheless, President Obama repeated this nonsense today in his stump speech.

Erin Burnett, CNN host: So you're saying if you lower them by 20% you get a $5 trillion tab, right?

Stephanie Cutter: It's a $5 trillion tab. [crosstalk] Burnett: But then when you close deductions it's not going to be anywhere near $5 trillion, that's our analysis.

Cutter: Well, okay, stipulated. It won't be near $5 trillion but it's also not going to be the sum of $5 trillion in the loopholes that he's going to close. So it is going to cost someone and it's going to cost the middle class. Independent economists have taken a look at this. There aren't enough deductions for those at the top to account for the number of tax cuts that they get because of Mitt Romney's policy so you have to raise taxes on the middle class. As Bill Clinton said, it's just simple math.

Burnett: Okay, they'll just say that you can do that. There are other studies. I know the one to which you're referring, but there's also the possibility of economic growth.

Cutter: Prove it. Erin, prove it.

Burnett: We can't prove either side, that's all I'm saying, but the one thing that I can say is not true is the $5 trillion tax cut.

Cutter: I disagree with you. You can prove it. So then they should just say that they're counting entirely on economic growth to pay for a tax cut. Which is an interesting theory because that is what George Bush and let's look at how that turned out, we had the slowest economic growth since World War II.

Burnett: They're not saying entirely, they're saying closing loopholes and economic growth, both. I understand you disagree with it.

Actually, this is bolshoi and spin on top of admitted bolshoi and spin. Here's why:

First, actually, you can prove that cutting taxes increases revenues. Cutter isn't accounting for the increased tax revenues that come when you slash taxes and increase economic activity. That's how President Reagan saved the American economy after Jimmy Carter's incompetent hands were pried off the steering wheel.Increasing taxes and regulations ('revenues' in DemSpeak) has the opposite effect.Always.

Oh, and by the way, that supposed $5 trillion in the study  Stephanie Cutter quotes so freely is projected over ten years. The idea that the economy isn't going to grow enough or that the increased tax revenues from the economic activity generated by lower taxes and reduced regulations isn't going to eclipse that sum in a decade is absolutely...well, only something either someone with no knowledge of how economics works or a blatant con artist would try and sell. Take your pick on which one Stephanie Cutter is.

Second, it's CNN, but I would expect a journalist to challenge Cutter on her cute little meme that under George W. Bush, we had the lowest growth since WWII. Forget about the recession Bush inherited from Clinton and the tax cuts, which even left leaning economists admit gave our economy a 'soft landing'. As matter of fact, a lot of economists write that had the Democrat dominated Congress allowed President Bush the full amount of tax cuts he wanted, the economy's growth would have increased dramatically.

In 2004, growth was at just over 4.4%, just a hair under what is was during Bill Clinton's last year in office..and that includes over a trillion dollar hit from 9/11 and two wars. Coincidentally growth began a downswing in 2004, after another trillion dollar hit from Hurricane Katrina and the election of a certain freshman senator from Illinois named Barack Obama who was quite disposed to vote for the Bush policies he later blamed the recession he inherited on, including funding those infamous wars.

Growth cratered starting in 2007, when the Democrats took over Congress and accelerated deficit spending to new heights. So when you talk about reduced economic growth under Bush, you have to remember who was controlling the purse strings in congress for a good part of his two terms.

Lefties always react violently to the idea that with less taxes and regulation to encourage economic activity, you can grow the pie and actually make more in tax revenues. Because it hits at the core of their power, the desire to make Americans dependent on government. This isn't the first time Stephanie Cutter has been caught lying . Problem for her is, she isn't very good at it.

The 'New' Obama Strategy - Keep Repeating The Same Garbage In Negative Ads, Hope It Sticks

Stung by his execrable performance in last night's debate, Obama's Chicago campaign thugs have evolved what they call a brand new strategy. Except, of course, it's not new at all.

They're simply going to (a) mobilize their media lackeys to demonize Mitt Romney at every turn (and his religion will by no means be out of bounds), (b) deluge the airwaves with negative, inaccurate ads knowing the Obama Media isn't going to challenge them, (c)make sure President Obama repeats the same programmed, stale talking points from his teleprompter and (d) beat up on the next two debate 'moderators', CNN's Candy Crowley and CBS' Bob Scheifer in advance to make they intervene actively to help President Obama as much as possible. The sharing of the debate questions with the president in advance so he can rehearse is not out of the question.

They're going to go unbelievably negative, hoping that if the same nonsense get repeated often enough, they can convince people that it's true.

In other words, they're going to follow Chris Matthew's advice and start channeling MSNBC.

There are a number of problems with this approach.

The first one is that this is nothing but the Obama campaign's strategy warmed over. They have been puling this garbage since it became apparent Mitt Romney was going to be the nominee, and it's all old news now. L:ast night, Mitt Romney effectively deconstructed the heartless plutocrat, Gordon Gekko persona the Obama campaign spent hundreds of millions of dollars to build. A record 67 million people saw the debate last night, more people that voted for Obama in 2008. The Obama narrative was revealed as the tissue of lies it always was and the impression of Mitt Romney as a competent, intelligent, concerned and decent human being is not going to be dispelled over the next 32 days. The contrast between fact and fiction was just too great.

After last night, the president is finally going to have to find a compelling reason for people to vote for him besides 'Romney is Hitler'. He was challenged directly on his miserable record as president and for the first time, people saw him react to that challenge like a vampire does to a cross. Merely demonizing Romney isn't going to work by itself any more.

The second problem is that while it's going to please his leftist base and send tingles up Chris Matthew's leg, going negative cuts deeply into Obama's likeability, such as it is.

I personally see President Obama as having all the charm and humanity of a Soviet commissar, to put it mildly. This is the same man who avidly supports denying babies who survive an abortion medical care wants to ration healthcare for the elderly and was giggling over his coming Superbowl party in his toasty warm office while 54 people. mostly women, kids and old people were freezing to death in Kentucky.

But some people, goodness knows why, consider him 'likeable'. largely because of of the image his media lackeys have fostered for him. Going MSNBC and giving vent to his natural hostility, arrogance and temperament risks losing all that. And that can be a death stroke in a presidential campaign - just ask Al Gore. Or to see how popular this approach is likely to be in general, just look as MSNBC's ratings.

What President Obama Really Thinks Of His Youthful Supporters

The above video is apparently a lame attempt to be 'hip' and 'edgy'. It portrays President Obama in a brief conversation with two actors playing the parts of stoner duo Harold and Kumar who are essentially the modern day equivalent the old Cheech and Chong team.

While the reliable tools at Talking Points Memo took a stab at mentioning the obvious drug connections and doing their best to spin that, the real, deeper meaning of this is a lot more insidious and a lot harder to spin.

This is obviously how the Obama campaign views many of its youth supporters - stupid, stoned out of their minds in a filthy apartment, eating junk food and watching cartoons with the attention span of a flea.

Some of the youth whom still view this president favorably ought to think about the kind of contempt demonstrated here before they go out and vote.

It's not 2008 anymore, those old Obama posters on the wall really are faded, hope and change was just an empty slogan designed to lure you in and this president and his strategists think you're all brain dead morons stoned out of your mind who'll believe anything they tell you.

Think about it.

DNC Head Wasserman-Schultz: 'I lied. What Of It?'

Contrary to popular belief, I think J-Street's own Rep. Debbie Wasserman-Schultz is an excellent head of the Democratic National committee, if we're talking truth in labeling.

In the above interview, CNN's Anderson Cooper shows unequivocally where the DNC outright lied in a fundraiser using the so-called 'war on women' theme to try and associate Mitt Romney with Todd Akin and blatantly misquoted the Los Angeles Times 180 degrees to assist in doing it.

If you think that fazes her, you're sadly mistaken. When she's unable to filibuster and talk over Cooper, she simply returns to the same dishonest talking points as though the lies and misrepresentations didn't exist.

Of course, people who applaud Ms. Wasserman-Schultz's take on this ought to consider a few things and think about which party is really engaging in a war on women.

ObamaLie: 'Nobody Accused Romney Of Being A Felon'

President Obama finally deigned to take a few questions from the White House press corps today, and predictably, one of them dealt with the bottom feeding, filthy campaign he's running.

“Nobody accused Mr. Romney of being a felon,” President Obama said during a rare conversation with the White House press corps today.

Obama was defending his campaign from charges that he is being too negative. “We point out sharp differences between the candidates, but we don’t go out of bounds,” he added.

Let's see now...here's Obama's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter, a little over a month ago:

"Either Mitt Romney, through his own words and his own signature was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the SEC, which is a felony, or he was misrepresenting his position at Bain to the American people to avoid responsibility for some of the consequences of his investments."

And the White House didn't distance itself from those remarks then, or now.

So far, the Obama Campaign or its surrogates has accused Mitt Romney of being a tax cheat, a felon, a murderer and someone who wants to put blacks back in chains. They've even evoked Governor Romney's dead father, suggesting he would be ashamed of his son's behavior. Not to mention what already appears to be illegal coordination by the Obama Campaign with the primary pro-Obama super PAC.

None of this has ever been disavowed by the Obama campaign. As a matter of fact, the president himself is using Harry Reid's line, alluding to how Romney's dead father would be ashamed of Governor Romney's actions.

For President Obama to openly lie - and there is no other, more polite word for it - in front of a bunch of reporters who know he's lying it not only the height of arrogance and cynicism, but blatant disrespect for every journalist in that room.

I have to wonder if any of them are going to write this up honestly, just to be able to look in the mirror.

Why Would Romney Believe Anything Obama's Campaign Manager Promises?

Much is being made today over a letter Obama campaign manager Jim Messina wrote to GOP candidate Mitt Romney asking him to release five years worth of tax returns. And such a deal:

"I commit in turn that we will not criticize him for not releasing more--neither in ads nor in other public communications or commentary for the rest of the campaign."

Notice Messina says that "we" - meaning the Obama campaign - will refrain from criticism. Given the Obama campaign's close relations with a whole slew of media lackeys and what already appears to be illegal coordination with the primary pro-Obama super PAC, that 'commitment' is meaningless.

'Hey, wasn't us Mitt. T'was the boys and girls at ABC, MSNBC, Media Matters, Huffington Post, PBS, CNN, The New York Times....'

Aside from having no reason to believer anything the Obama campaign says or promises, notice that there's no real quid pro quo here. Governor Romney gives up something he doesn't have to that the Obama campaign wants in exchange for a 'promise' not to ask for more!

Again the arrogance of these people is astounding. They think everyone's stupid but them.

Except Mitt Romney isn't stupid, and turned them down flat:

"It is clear that President Obama wants nothing more than to talk about Governor Romney's tax returns instead of the issues that matter to voters, like putting Americans back to work, fixing the economy and reining in spending," Romney campaign manager Matt Rhoades wrote.

Actually, if I were Romney's campaign manager, I might have offered to release some additional tax returns in exchange for the following releases by Barack Obama:

  • A release allowing public viewing of his complete college transcripts

  • Any and all documents pertaining to the 2010 Democrat party Senate primaries in Colorado and Pennsylvania, where two Senate candidates publicly said they were offered something by the White House not to primary incumbents, a felony under 18 USC 600, 8 USC 211, and 8 USC 595.

  • The removal from executive privilege of all documents relating to Fast and Furious, the scandal that involved the Department of Justice overseeing th epurchase of weapons by straw buyers here in America and their subsequent sale to Mexican drug cartels that resulted in the death of at least 300 people, including a US border patrol agent named Brian Terry..

  • A formal request that the Los Angeles Times release the tapes they continue to hold of Obama's speech at a pro-Palestinian event set up by his long time associate Rashid Khalidi. And a statement by the president defending those views.

  • A full and complete statement by the president detailing his association with Nation of Islam head Louis Farrakhan, Khalid al-Mansour, and academic plagiarist and terrorist apologist Edward Said.

  • To address why his campaign disabled the default VISA identification software on his campaign website, allowing campaign donations to be submitted under aliases and fake addresses.

  • Full disclosure on exactly why Michelle Obama's law license was revoked by the Illinois bar, and a statement by the president addressing what connection, if any, there was between his obtaining an earmark of over $1 million for University Of Chicago Hospital and the employment of Mrs Obama as 'vice president of community relations' at an exorbitant salary in what essentially was a no show job.

  • There's plenty more, but in the interest of full disclosure and playing fair with the American people, I think this would be a good start. I'm sure the president's mother, were she alive, would be ashamed of him for refusing to do so. Just ask Harry Reid.

Of course, President Obama is never going to release any of this. The most secretive of presidents we've ever had has an incredible amount of nerve asking anyone else to come clean.

Fallout From 'Romney Murdered My Wife' Ad Becomes Increasingly Toxic For Obama

The ad run by the Obama super Pac Priorities USA has shocked even some of the usual suspects in its blatant dishonesty..especially since the Obama campaign has refused to condemn it and there's increasing evidence that they knew all about it.

On Wednesday, as outrage over the ad grew,President Obama's deputy campaign manager Stephanie Cutter told CNN on Wednesday "I don't know the facts about when Mr. Soptic's wife got sick, or the facts about his health insurance."

That's funny, since the man in the ad, Joe Soptic told essentially the same story in a May 14, 2012, conference call hosted by the Obama campaign...with Ms. Cutter moderating.

If she actually doesn't remember something that occurred only three months ago, she deserves polite sympathy and treatment. But what's more likely is that she saw Soptic's tale of woe as an ideal campaign ad and told Priorities USA she had a real gem for them. Which is illegal, by the way.

The ad itself is so full of outright lies that only the most cynical of political operatives would have okayed it.

Soptic's steel plant was shut down in 2001, long after Mitt Romney left the management of Bain Capital in 1999 to run the Olympics. Soptic obtained another job but chose not to insure his wife, since she was employed at a store called Savers and had her own plan, which she kept until 2003. Mitt Romney formally left Bain Capital and severed all ties with them in early 2002.

In 2003, Mrs. Soptic left her job after what was claimed to be a rotator cuff injury. As I pointed out earlier, Mrs. Soptic could have retained her healthcare coverage until 2005 under COBRA regulations, but chose not to. She and her husband also apparently chose not to enroll in Missouri's MedicAid program, which would have covered their healthcare costs if they were unable to afford private coverage. She wasn't diagnosed with cancer until 2006.

So far, the Obama campaign and its surrogates have accused Mitt Romney of being a tax cheat, a felon, and a heartless capitalist out to become president for his personal enrichment. And now, of course, a murderer.

The ironic thing is that if you look at the political careers of Mitt Romney and the Obamas side by side, it's quite obvious who went into politics out of public spiritedness and who went into politics to enrich themselves, Chicago-style. There's no one remotely like Tony Rezco, Alexi Giannoulias or Nadhni Auchi in Mitt Romney's background.

The good thing about this is the timing. It's August, the Olympics are winding down and this is the time most Americans who aren't political junkies start perking up and paying attention to the presidential campaign.

Being caught in an egregious lie like this, a whopper even loyal surrogates like CNN and Huffington Post can't swallow is not a good place fo rth eObama campaign to be, especially given th eamount of money they've already spent demonizing someone who is essentially a decent person and a successful businessman, regardless of what you might think about his politics.

In fact, the polls are already showing a shift.

Sheldon Adelson Files $60M Libel Suit Against National Jewish Democratic Council

Sheldon Adelson, the billionaire casino owner who has emerged as one of the country’s biggest Republican donors is proving once again that he's no pushover.

You'll remember I wrote about the disgusting and false charges promulgated by The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (the DCCC) libeling Mr. Adelson as a pimp who made money from prostitution.

Well, Sheldon Adelson's attorneys wrote these creeps a very direct letter promising to sue them right down to their underwear if they didn't publicly apologize and issue a retraction.

Not being total idiots, they did.

But apparently that kind of wisdom doesn't extend to the minions of the NJDC, an organization of left wing and largely secular Jews noted for being outrageous Obamabots.

They made sure the bogus charges appeared on a number of media outlets, and when they were contacted by Adelson's attorneys, they decided to double down.

So they've been hit with a $60 million lawsuit:

Mr. Adelson’s lawsuit, filed in the United States District Court for the Southern District of New York, names the Jewish council as well as two of its officials, David A. Harris and Marc R. Stanley. It seeks $10 million in compensatory damages and $50 million in punitive damages.

“Defendants’ goal was to advance their perceived political interests by assassinating Mr. Adelson’s character, punishing him for exercising his right to make monetary contributions to political causes and candidates of his choice, and demeaning him within the Jewish community,” the lawsuit alleges.

Their response is typically both ignorant and sleazy:

We will not be bullied into submission, and we will not be silenced by power. This is not Putin’s Russia, and in America, political speech regarding one of the most well-known public figures in our country is a fundamental right. One would think the person making greatest use of the Citizens United ruling would understand this. To be sure, referencing mainstream press accounts examining the conduct of a public figure and his business ventures—as we did—is wholly appropriate. Indeed, it is both an American and a Jewish obligation to ask hard questions of powerful individuals like Mr. Adelson, just as it is incumbent upon us to praise his wonderful philanthropic endeavors.

We know that we were well within our rights, and we will defend ourselves against this SLAPP suit as far and as long as necessary. We simply will not be bullied, and we will not be silenced.

I wouldn't expect the sort of people who populate the NJDC to know this, but there is actually a specific religious prohibition in Judaism against exactly this sort of thing. It's referred to as lashon hara or “evil tongue” and if anything provides a classic example, it's calling a political opponent a pimp. 'Jewish obligation' my eye!

This is also not even close to a SLAPP lawsuit. There's a big difference between merely criticizing a public figure and spreading allegations that he is a pimp. It's especially egregious given that one of Sheldon and Dr. Miriam Adelson's charities they fund is devoted to rescuing prostitutes from drug addiction, getting them off the streets and helping them build new lives.

This is not even close to legitimate, protected political speech. Saying that someone is profiting from prostitution is simply over the line, even in politics.

Even the DCCC realized that, and groveled to keep from being bankrupted.

Personally, I hope the NJDC doesn't back off one iota. There's nothing that would be more fitting them to see them as bankrupt financially as they are ideologically.

They may call themselves Jews, but to my mind they're simply vicious anti-semites.

Obama Ad: 'Mitt Romney Murdered My Wife'

This was so bad even CNN couldn't quite bring themselves to swallow it.

I suppose that next, he'll be accused of poisoning puppies and selling grannies into slavery:

"When Mitt Romney closed the plant I lost my healthcare, and my family lost their healthcare," Soptic says in the ad put out by Priorities USA Action, the main pro-Obama super PAC. The ad is expected to air in the coming days in five battleground states.

"A short time after that, my wife became ill. I don’t know how long she was sick and I think maybe she didn’t say anything because she knew we couldn’t afford the insurance."

She was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and died shortly afterwards. AND IT'S ALL THAT VICIOUS, PIRATICAL ONE PERCENTER MITT ROMNEY'S FAULT!!

The ad comes from the main Obama Super PAC, Priorities USA as part of a $20 million campaign.

    Here's the real truth.

As I've written earlier, Mitt Romney left Bain Capital in 1999, although he his name remained on the company's masthead as CEO. Bain Capital shut down GST Steel, where the man in the ad, Joe Soptic was employed back in 2001, two years later, and Mitt Romney had nothing to do with that decision whatsoever.

It gets better. It turns out that Mrs. Soptic had her own health insurance through her job at a local store called Savers – and kept it even after his layoff. Soptic's policy through GST Steel was her secondary coverage.

She retained that health insurance until 2003. While Mitt Romney formally left Bain Capital and severed all ties with them in early 2002.

In 2003, Mrs. Soptic left her job after what was claimed to be a rotator cuff injury. She wasn't diagnosed with cancer until 2006.

Here's something else..because of COBRA, the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1986,Mrs. Soptic would have the right to continue to be covered by her former employer's group plan for up to 18 months, provided she kept her premiums up.

If she chose that option, she would have been covered into 2005. If she couldn't afford to pay the premiums, Missouri's MedicAid program would have covered her healthcare.

So if Mrs. Soptic waited until her cancer was too advanced to treat, it wasn't because 'Romney took away her insurance.'

Mr. Soptic, by the way is something of a pro at this and has appeared in other ads directly by the Obama Campaign.

The White House reaction to this?

During the White House briefing Tuesday, Press Secretary Jay Carney said he hadn't yet seen the ad.

"I'm simply saying that I have not seen this. So how could I possibly assess it?" Carney said.

"But you can. Will you assess it later?" I asked him.

"If you ask me tomorrow, sure," Carney answered.

When I followed up with him after the briefing he told me though he may look at the ad his assessment “will be I have no assessment."

    Okay.

So far, the Obama Campaign and their surrogates have accused Romney of being a felon, a racist,a tax cheat, and now a murderer by proxy.

    Fine by me.

I want to see pro Romney Super PACS respond in kind, and there's a great deal moe fact in the attacks they can come up with.

For instance, what about ads on:

Michelle Obama's no-show job that coincided with a certain Senator Obama's earmarks.

Why the Obama campaign disabled the default VISA identification software on his campaign website, allowing campaign donations to be submitted under aliases and fake addresses.

A call for full disclosure on the 2010 Democrat party Senate primaries in Colorado and Pennsylvania, where two Senate candidates publicly said they were offered something by the White House not to primary incumbents, a felony under 18 USC 600, 8 USC 211, and 8 USC 595.

A poignant ad showing someone who lost his loved one during the 2009 ice storms in Kentucky, where 54 people died while President Obama was mainly concerned about his upcoming Super Bowl party in the White House.

An ad documenting President Obama's championing of infanticide, a policy well to the left of even NARAL.

A nice ad on President Obama's use of dead military corpses for a political photo op in violation of DoD regulations and the wishes of the deceased's families.

For that matter, an ad on how President Obama tried to take VA benefits away from our wounded warriors.

The difference, of course is that the ads created out of these instances are based on actual fact and deal with the president's actual performance in elected office, unlike the bolshoi the Obama campaign is pushing.

I say let the Super PACs loose, and let's all play in the mud.

Politics of destruction? Mr. President, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Where Does Barack Obama Rank Among US Presidents On Jobs And Unemployment?

Job Gains By Presidential Tenure Medium

Now, here's an interesting idea, courtesy of the whizkid at Political Math: using Bureaus Of Labor Statistics figures, where does President Obama rank among modern U.S. presidents on job creation and unemployment?

    (hat tip, Ace's place)

I'll let the whiz kid describe his work and the various caveats:

Recently President Obama’s team has felt that attacking Romney’s jobs record in Massachusetts tests well in the sample group.

These attacks got me thinking about executive job records. “Where” I asked myself “would President Obama place in a ranking of US Presidents in terms of job creation?”

Is this a fair comparison? Yes and no. Part of the Goose/Gander series is that I create a provocative visual and then explain in more details what is fair and isn’t fair about it.

    This Isn’t Fair

President Obama hasn’t had a full term yet

This puts him at a distinct disadvantage to everyone else (except John F Kennedy) because he hasn’t had the same amount of time to grow jobs. However it also seems pretty obvious that he’s not going to get out of last place before January 2013. That would require 300K new jobs per month every month from now until then.

President Obama came into office in the middle of a recession

In fact, he came in the middle of a recession that was worse in terms of job loss than anything any other president in this chart had to deal with. Now, he did split those job losses about half-and-half with George W Bush, so it’s not as bad as it could have been for him.

Presidents only have a certain amount of control over job growth

Actually presidents (and executives in general) only have a certain amount of control over the economy, so this entire exercise is kind of tainted by that fact. But this is the part where we point out that Obama did start this by attacking Mitt Romney’s job record in a similar way.

    This Is Fair

    The data Is Unassailable

I’m using the Employment table from the BLS A Tables. This is not the one that most Obama proponents prefer to use. They prefer using the BLS B Tables because they give numbers that are kinder to Obama. But the B Tables undercount employment (they only count payrolls) and everyone knows this.

I counted January-January (or whenever the president left office) for each president. I did this not because it was particularly fair but because I wanted to match how Obama has assigned himself and Romney jobs responsibility. I’m following his lead to show that, if we take him at his word, he doesn’t stand up to his own standard.

If we’re going to play the presidential job visuals game…

… this is a totally fair visual to keep in mind. Depending on the metric, Obama talks about jobs in different ways. When talking raw numbers, he likes to talk about the “last 22 months” or however gets us to the low point in the recession. When talking about month-to-month change, he likes to talk about when he came into office which was the worst point of job loss in the recession, so everything else looks good in comparison.

Fairly or unfairly, Presidents and jobs are commonly linked. It’s only fair to give a proper representation of that information.

In other words, when it comes to modern presidents, Barack Obama is dead last in job creation and Numero Uno in the unemployment rate under his watch.

I would also add that part of the George W. Bush numbers occurred during the period of January 2007 to January 2009, when the Democrats, including Senator Barack Obama controlled Congress and voted for the very policies President Obama constantly blames President George W. Bush for.

If the American people re-elect this incompetent and his crew, they will get exactly what they deserve.

Beatdown - DCCC Apologizes Publicly To GOP Donor Sheldon Adelson

    Ah,now this is wonderful...

Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson is a large name on the Obama White House enemies list, one that makes Nixon's pale by comparison

Anyone who donates to GOP or conservative causes can count not only on vilification but on government audits, extra red tape and harassment.

In Adelson's case, not only is he a large donor to Mitt Romney and other GOP candidates, he's an ardent Zionist who's under no illusions about President Obama's animus towards the Jewish State. That makes him a double target.

Back on June 29th, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) sent out a scurrilous email stating that Adelson “personally approved of prostitution and knew of other improper activity at his company’s properties in the Chinese enclave of Macau, China.”

In that same email, the DCCC asked: “What will Speaker Boehner, Leader Cantor, and House Republicans do with their Chinese prostitution money?”

The 78-year-old Adelson is no light weight and he knew exactly how this handle this libel.

On July 17th, he had his attorneys write a harsh letter to the DCCC that essentially said, 'retract your lies publicly and apologize or I'm going to sue you for every dime you have.'

I was kind of hoping the DCC would actually try and fight this, because it would have bankrupted them. Instead, these Alinskyite scum chose the other alternative, to grovel and apologize publicly on Adelson's terms:

"In press statements issued on June 29 and July 2, 2012, the DCCC made unsubstantiated allegations that attacked Sheldon Adelson, a supporter of the opposing party," the DCCC said in an e-mail released Thursday. "This was wrong. The statements were untrue and unfair and we retract them. The DCCC extends its sincere apology to Mr. Adelson and his family for any injury we have caused."

The e-mail was issued en masse to reporters.

I'd say the DCCC ought to be ashamed of themselves, but then I know the sort of people I'm talking about. A mere apology and retraction seems hardly enough for the vile attack, especially since one of Sheldon and Dr, Miriam Adelson's charities that they fund is devoted to rescuing prostitutes from drug addiction, getting them off the streets and helping them build new lives.

    Kol Tov, Mr. Adelson.

    Well done.

Reid Doubles Down: 'Romney Needs To Prove He Paid Taxes'

I see where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid has decided to double down on his totally unproven allegations that Mitt Romney hasn't paid taxes for the last decade:

“I am not basing this on some figment of my imagination,” Reid said in a telephone call with Nevada reporters. “I have had a number of people tell me that.”

Asked to elaborate on his sources, Reid declined. “No, that’s the best you’re going to get from me.”

“I don’t think the burden should be on me,” Reid said. “The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”

    OK, Senator. Fine by me.

As I reported earlier, my numerous sources( who of course are confidential) tell me you regularly purchase dogs for the purpose of having sex with them, and that you like to set your own farts on fire.

I have that direct from a long time owner of a kennel who's known Reid for years, and told me explicitly that not only did Senator Reid admit it to him, but that he's been supplying the dogs in question and actually saw Reid set one of his farts on fire with a bic lighter.

Not only that, but the photographic evidence above from my sources shows you allegedly testing one of the dogs for 'suitability'.

You prove to me they're lying, Senator Reid. So far, I haven't even gotten an official denial from your office.

Plus, another of my sources - and again, I've heard this from lots of people- tells me you like toi pick and eat your own boogers when you think no one's looking, and again, there's photographic evidence.

The burden of proof should be on you to prove it isn't true, Senator Reid. I'm waiting...

Rack 'em smack'em, rack 'em jack 'em, as one of my acquaintances used to say in these circumstances .

( G-d bless you Choo Choo m'man, wherever you are)

Harry Reid Has Affairs With Pet Dogs, Lights Own Farts On Fire

I have that direct from a long time owner of a kennel who's known Reid for years, and told me explicitly that not only did Senator Reid admit it to him, but that he's been supplying the dogs in question and actually saw Reid set one of his farts on fire with a bic lighter.

The above photo shows him allegedly testing out one  dog's 'suitability'.

Of course, my source must remain confidential.

Nevertheless, I can prove what I say as much as Reid can 'prove' his statements to a Huffington Post reporter about an unnamed 'Bain Investor' telling him that Governor Romney hasn't paid taxes in ten years.

I mean, if you were Mitt Romney, would you be telling some unnamed investor in Bain ( or anyone else for that matter) how much you pay in taxes? Senator Reid might be damned good at crafting special legislation to enrich himself on land deals, but as for crafting a credible slam? You literally would have to go to HuffPo, Newsweak, or Daily Kos to find someone stupid enough to echo chamber that one.

Oh, it gets better. Reid also claims he's somehow channeling Mitt Romney's dead father:

"His poor father must be so embarrassed about his son," Reid said, in reference to George Romney's standard-setting decision to turn over 12 years of tax returns when he ran for president in the late 1960s.

Which leads me to wonder...just how low can someone like Harry Reid go? And is his mother ashamed of him, slandering someone like this just because he found someone equally despicable willing to print this?

Actually, both John Kerry and John McCain never released more than two years' taxes, and they weren't running against Obama, and the dinosaur media.

By the way, I have another hot item on Senator Reid. Did you know he likes to pick his nose and eat his own boogers when he thinks no one's looking? Confidential source, but absolutely accurate, I tell you.

Trust me, we're going to see a lot worse as this goes on.

I never want to hear a single lefty tell me again about 'poisonous discourse' or the evils of Republican 'partisan politics'.

Hilarious! Obama Attacks Romney For Quoting Him

One of the more annoying traits President Obama has is one he shares with many on the Left...he thinks everybody is stupid except him.

Now that the president's insulting remarks on business ( 'you didn't build that, someone else did')have revealed his ideology and gone viral, President Obama is trying desperately to spin this..but he's doing it with an ad that attacks Mitt Romney for quoting him accurately. Not only that, but as my pal Gay Patriot remarked, the ad actually includes Obama's quote itself! Just watch:

Just for comparison, here's the entire video of both Obama and Mitt Romney, without the Obama Campaign's misleading cuts...

    2012 Presidential Election

Could anything be more obvious? As I wrote previously, this president is so anti-business that he forgets something:

..those roads and bridges, his salary, his wife's five star vacations, the chef who cooks his $100 per pound wagyu steak and his greens fees were all paid for by taxpayers. And 71 per cent of those taxes came from the top 10 per cent of income earners...which includes a lot of those business owners he's claiming did nothing to 'make that happen.'

As Charles Krauthammer remarked, when you hear the entire quiote, it actually makes Obama look worse.

Speaking of which, could the president have made this sordid socialist screed happen without 'borrowing' from Princess Dances-With-Socialism herself,Elizabeth Warren? Yes it doesn't take a village, it takes a politbureau.

Per Professor Jacobsen over at Le·gal In·sur·rec·tion, Fake-A-Hontas not only acknowledges the linkage, but expands on it:

Warren said during a campaign stop in Dorchester yesterday, “I think the basic notion is right. Nobody got rich on their own. Nobody. People worked hard, they build a business, God bless, but they moved their goods on roads the rest of us helped build, they hired employees the rest of us helped educate, they plugged into a power grid the rest of us helped build,” she said.

This isn't going to go away, and President Obama, out of sheer arrogance, is making sure of it.

GOP Donor Sheldon Adelson To DCCC: 'Retract Your Lies And Apologize Or I'll Sue'

As I've documented here before, the Obama White House has an enemies list that would have made Richard Nixon's look anemic by comparison. Virtually anyone who runs as a Republican or donates to conservative causes can count on being targeted by the administration's surrogates and media lackeys.

One such person is Las Vegas casino magnate Sheldon Adelson a major funder of Mitt Romney, Republican congressmen and various super pacs. Recently the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee(DCCC)made a whole series of statements saying that Adelson's money came from 'Chinese prostitution money' and essentially branded Adelson as a pimp. The claim was quickly amplified by the Soros media and left wing blogs

Politifact looked the story and labled it 'pants on fire', totally false.

And Mr. Adelson, to his credit, has had his lawyers write a letter to the DCCC with an ultimatum - they either retract the lies and issue a public apology - "a prominent statement, in a form approved by Mr. Adelson, retracting and apologizing for your false claims" - or he's going to sue them for slander.

The letter, can be seen in full here, and it reveals not only the full extent if the egregious untruths that were peddled by the DCCC by the factoid that Sheldon Adelson and his wife, Dr. Miriam Adelson, actually fund a charity dedicated to helping addicted prostitutes get off the streets, get straight and live productive lives.

This is exactly how to deal with these Alinskyite scum. Either they will apologize and grovel, which will embarrass them publicly no end and provide a lesson for others, or they'll use valuable time and money futilely fighting it.

    Kol Tov, Mr. Adelson!

By the way, as a side note, one reason Sheldon Adelson is so involved in taking down President Obama and his enablers is because he's sees clearly exactly how anti-Israel this president and this administration are.And he also understands, as too many American Jews don't, the relationship between a strong, powerful Israel and the well being of Jews who live outside the country...as well as how it benefits America.

This is exactly how my father's generation dealt with people like this - head on.
