Jane Fonda Foundation Revealed As A Scam

Jane Fonda

Ah, 'progressives'..they always have great ideas on how everybody should pay their fair share. Except them, of course.

Multimillionaire Actress Jane Fonda's charitable foundation is an interesting example of this principle.

According to the IRS records, with nearly $800K in the bank as of 2011, the last fiscal year covered by their 2012 return, Jane Fonda's private charitable foundation hasn't hasn't donated a dime since 2006. According to the IRS's own rules, a private charitable foundation has to donate at least five percent of its assets, or face stiff financial penalties. This was designed to stop people from misusing charitable foundations as a tax dodge and a parking place for tax free income:

While Fonda’s foundation has not been making donations, the group has tried to grow its stash via the stock market. For example, the foundation’s last tax return lists 166 separate trades--involving thousands of stock shares--that netted about $2200.

The Fonda foundation’s returns show that most of its assets were provided years ago by the performer herself, though more than $320,000 came from a Connecticut firm that has booked speaking engagements for the two-time Academy Award winner.

In other words, Fonda shielded taxable income and the firm that booked her speaking engagements got a nice tax deduction.

The Jane Fonda Foundation lists Fonda on its tax filing as the foundation’s president and chairman of the board, and reports that she devotes 10 hours a week to the charitable foundation. This is important, because IRS rules allow someone like a celebrity to take a charitable deduction for time spent working for a charity based on their 'usual fee'. In Fonda's case, that's 520 hours or 22 days if we consider 24 hours a full work day. If we base it on a more normal 8 hour work day, Jane Fonda is able to take a deduction for 'charitable work' at her normal rate for something like 65 days, over two months.

Even more interesting, this has been going on since 2007, and the IRS, busy targeting conservative donors and sabotaging attempts by conservative groups to obtain 501c status has prosecuted her at all.

The rules, you see, are for the little people who vote wrong and donate wrong.

Some people never change.

Oprah Winfrey On The BBC - Many Americans Hate Obama Because He’s Black

While peddling her turgid film 'The Butler' overseas, Oprah Winfrey found some time to trash her country collectively and accuse her fellow Americans who have rewarded her so lavishly of racism:

Oprah Winfrey has been a prominent supporter of Barack Obama. She thinks that both he and the Office of President have been treated with contempt because of the colour of his skin.

“There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it.

Of course we are. That's why her success is due to an all black audience, and only black people voted for Obama, right? And Ms. Winfrey apparently has added mind reading to her abilities. She can detect racism in a glance, a sneeze, or the blink of an eyelid at far beyond normal human perceptions. Disagreement with President Obama because of his policies and lack of character?

N O T A L L O W E D.

Of course, the sort of things that were said by many blacks about Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush were perfectly okay. That could never be considered racism, It was, you know acceptable.

Unfortunately, this despicable kind of attitude infects far too many people. It's a form of mental illness as far as I'm concerned, and a de facto admission of Oprah's own inherent racism.

Stevie Wonder Says He'll Boycott Florida? - Here's A Little Known Fact About Him

Stevie Wonder has announced that he's going to boycott Florida and any other state that has 'stand your ground laws' in the future, because he says they contributed to George Zimmerman's acquittal.

"I decided today that until the Stand Your Ground law is abolished in Florida, I will never perform there again," Wonder said Sunday while performing in Quebec City. "As a matter of fact, wherever I find that law exists, I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

I'm reasonably sure his spokespeople cleaned this up. Actually, the Stand Your Ground law did not apply here, and was cited in the jury instructions as not being applicable, but hey, why should facts stand in the way of seeing things through a racial prism, even if you're physically blind.

Actually, Mr. Stevland Judkins (Stevie Wonder's real name) has been on my personal boycott list for quite some time. I don't buy or play his music, and if it happens to come on the radio I switch the station.

You see, back in October of 1995, there was a little event primarily organized by Louis Farrakhan and the Nation of Islam called The Million Man March in Washington DC. The media largely misrepresented it as a civil rights gathering and aired carefully chosen vanilla clips, but I saw it live on CSPAN and videotaped it.

It was one of the worst public displays of outright racism, Jew hatred and anti-semitism in recent American history...as you can imagine with Louis Farrakhan as the keynote speaker. Among the people who shared the stage with Farrakhan and others and sat there nodding their heads in agreement were Maya Angelou, convicted felon and later head of the NAACP Benjamin Chavis Muhammed, MC Hammer, Jesse Jackson, comedian Dick Gregory (who brought his 3 kids along to listen and absorb this poison), MC Hammer, Rosa Parks,Jeremiah Wright. And oh yes, Stevie Wonder.

There was some other people who attended as well, and even helped organize the hate fest;a community organizer by the name of Barack Obama and an up and coming `activist' named Keith Ellison.

Let's just say that as far as I'm concerned, anyone who sat through this and didn't speak out against what went down has little to say to anyone else about racism, justice, or right and wrong.

Celebrity Tweets On The Zimmerman Verdict - Unbelievable

The New York Post has a collection of celebrity tweets on the Zimmerman verdict that have to be seen to be believed. Here's a sample:

Had a gun-toting Trayvon Martin stalked an unarmed George Zimmerman, and then shot him to death... DO I EVEN NEED TO COMPLETE THIS SENTENCE?

The Trayvon Martin verdict doesn't surprise me. Stanford, FL never wanted Zimmerman arrested. Now he's free to kill another child.
I give Zimmerman a week

It could have been me. It could have been my son. We've got to protect them from the #Zimmermans of the world and their helpers.#Trayvon

Samuel L. Jackson: "I Voted For Obama Just Because He's Black"

http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTQ1NTQwMTYxNl5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTYwMjA1MzY1._V1._SX214_CR0,0,214,314_.jpg

Kudos to Mr. Jackson for being honest enough to admit what most of President Obama's black supporters won't.

In an interview with Ebony magazine, Jackson explained, "I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them ... That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean [bleep] to me."

As I've said before, racism comes in all colors. Dr. Martin Luther King's dream is still a ways off, and in my opinion black Americans with the mentality of Mr. Jackson are a large part of the obstacle to it being realized.

Tiger Sets Another Record - $750M Divorce Settlement For Elin Nordegren

Tiger Woods has reportedly come to a final divorce settlement with his ex-wife Elin Nordgren.

She gets physical custody of the kids, together with $750 million, the largest divorce payout in history. They will share legal custody, so she can't relocate them to Sweden or elsewhere without his OK. Additionally, he's not allowed to let any of his girlfriends near his three-year -old daughter Sam, three, or his one-year-old son Charlie during visitation. The only way any future relationship of Tiger Woods gets to interact with the children is if he remarries.

In exchange, Elin has agreed never to speak publicly about the divorce or the events leading up to it, so there will be no tell-all interviews or book deals.

Elin's silence was obviously a big part of the deal, leading a lot of people to speculate that there are a lot of sordid details that never made it into the press. The deal was also affected by the fact that Elin hired decent lawyers who ferreted out a lot of Tiger Wood's hidden assets, so it turned out he was actually worth more than she thought.

Bad news for the Hollywood Left...

All the hype in the world can't seem to make terrorist appeasing, anti-US garbage like `Syriana', `Jarhead' and `Munich' hits, in spite of massive advertising.Daily Box Office - Sunday, January 8, 2006

`Munich', for example, Steven Spielberg's fictionalized moral equivalency fable about the aftermath of the Palestinian terrorist's murder of the Israeli athletes in 1972 has only grossed $26M..a massive bomb. And that's the most successful of the bunch!

What's the point of making an anti-Israel film like that if they don't even pay you well for it?

In other news, `Munich' failed to get any nominations from Bafta, the British film society because the preview DVD sent to the academy's members was unplayable on machines used in the UK. As a result the majority of Bafta's 5,000 voters will not have seen the film in time to vote for it or recomend it before it's releasd in Britain on January 27.

The faulty DVDs only reached Bafta members on Saturday, which meant the film had already missed out on the first round of voting on January 4. In a further twist to the tale, a previous batch mailed out before Christmas were reportedly held up by customs officials in the UK.

Tough luck, Steven. Couldn't happen to a more worthy film.
