While peddling her turgid film 'The Butler' overseas, Oprah Winfrey found some time to trash her country collectively and accuse her fellow Americans who have rewarded her so lavishly of racism:
Oprah Winfrey has been a prominent supporter of Barack Obama. She thinks that both he and the Office of President have been treated with contempt because of the colour of his skin.
“There’s a level of disrespect for the office that occurs. And that occurs in some cases and maybe even many cases because he’s African American. There’s no question about that and it’s the kind of thing nobody ever says but everybody’s thinking it.
Of course we are. That's why her success is due to an all black audience, and only black people voted for Obama, right? And Ms. Winfrey apparently has added mind reading to her abilities. She can detect racism in a glance, a sneeze, or the blink of an eyelid at far beyond normal human perceptions. Disagreement with President Obama because of his policies and lack of character?
N O T A L L O W E D.
Of course, the sort of things that were said by many blacks about Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush were perfectly okay. That could never be considered racism, It was, you know acceptable.
Unfortunately, this despicable kind of attitude infects far too many people. It's a form of mental illness as far as I'm concerned, and a de facto admission of Oprah's own inherent racism.

Must See Video - ObamaBots Sign Petition To Grant Him Immunity for Any Crimes He Commits While in Office
Comedian Mark Dice circulates a petition in San Diego to grant the president full immunity for any crimes he commits in office. Funny, yeah, but remember these people have the same vote you do provided they're not too whacked out to stagger to the polls.

Unmourned, Unloved and Politically Inconvenient

"First MOLOCH, horrid King besmear'd with blood
Of human sacrifice, and parents tears,
Though, for the noise of Drums and Timbrels loud,
Their children's cries unheard that passed through fire
To his grim Idol - John Milton,Paradise Lost
Tophet is Moloch, which was made of brass; and they heated him from his lower parts; and his hands being stretched out, and made hot, they put the child between his hands, and it was burnt; when it vehemently cried out; but the priests beat a drum, that the father might not hear the voice of his son, and his heart might not be moved. - Rashi, 12th century commentary on Jeremiah 7:31
There was in the city of the Carthaginians a bronze image of Cronus (Moloch) extending its hands, palms up and sloping toward the ground, so that each of the children when placed thereon rolled down and fell into a sort of gaping pit filled with fire.- Diodorus Siculus,Bibliotheca historica 49 BC
In ancient times, there was a god worshiped in the Middle East called Ba'al, Moloch, Milkh, or Tophet among other names among the Canaanites,Phoenicians and Carthaginians whose attributes were similar to those of the Roman Saturn or the Greek Cronos. Its rites included the murder of children by tossing them into the fire built within or next to the idol.
In Leviticus 20:2-5, G-d enjoined the Jews never to give any of their seed as a sacrifice to Molokh, and that anyone who did would surely die because "I will set my face against that man, and against his family, and will cut him off, and all that go astray after him."
There's a trial going on in Philadelphia today in Philadelphia that merits notice in this context.
Dr. Kermit Gosnell ran an abortion clinic in the city and is accused of a number of horrendous crimes, according to the Grand Jury report:
"This case is about a doctor who killed babies and endangered women. What we mean is that he regularly and illegally delivered live, viable babies in the third trimester of pregnancy - and then murdered these newborns by severing their spinal cords with scissors."
"The medical practice by which he carried out this business was a filthy fraud in which he overdosed his patients with dangerous drugs, spread venereal disease among them with infected instruments, perforated their wombs and bowels - and, on at least two occasions, caused their deaths."
He's been charged with 7 counts of first degree murder.
The illegal part of what Dr. Gosnell did is worthy of reflecting on.
According to his former clinic staff, at least 100 living babies were murdered moments after Dr. Gosnell (or in some cases, his unlicensed assistants) ripped them out of the womb.Pennsylvania law forbids abortion in most cases after 24 weeks (the end of the second trimester). His standard method of killing the children was snipping the spinal cords, what one of his assistants described as 'a virtual beheading.' Dr. Gosnell frequently used drugs to induce labor so as to deliver the babies faster and make the killing process easier. One of his assistants in testimony described 'fetuses and blood flying around everywhere.'
Dr. Gosnell has also been charged with the murder of a 41-year-old Virginia woman who died from an overdose of anesthetic drugs, possibly administered by another unlicensed 'doctor'.
Several women patients were badly injured, according to the report. One was left simply lying there after her cervix and colon were torn in the process of trying to pull a baby out of her womb so it could be 'dealt with'. Another, only 18 years old, was not given proper care after her uterus was punctured and had to undergo a hysterectomy. Others actually contracted venereal diseases, painful infections and other complications because of the unsanitary conditions, where rusty and outdated machines, dirty, unsterilized instruments and filthy surroundings.
When the police finally got around to investigating Dr. Gosnell's clinic because of a tip he was illegally 'proscribing' drugs, they found fetal remains "stored throughout the clinic - in bags, milk jugs, orange juice cartons, and even in cat-food containers."
So what Dr. Gosnell is being charged with, actually, is performing late term abortions (illegal in Pennsylvania but not in a number of states), keeping a sloppy and unsanitary shop, allowing unauthorized and unlicensed personnel to perform procedures and administer drugs and the injuries and at least one murder that resulted from that.
Had he worked for, say, Planned Parenthood in a clean, up-to-date environment with licensed assistants in a state like California that allows abortion on demand for any reason no matter how far along the pregnancy is, he would have been doing essentially the same thing without any problems.
What Dr. Gosnell was doing to babies is not that much different than other doctors when it comes to late term abortions. They are merely more skillful and using better equipment.
The usual process is to puncture the baby's skull and use a hose to suction out the brains and collapse the skull so it can be pulled out of the womb.
Two questions immediately come to mind for most people hearing about this for the first time.
This carnage went on literally for years. Didn't anyone complain to the authorities?
Yes, as a matter of fact, they did. The Departments of Health for both the City of Philadelphia and the State of Pennsylvania had received reports of what was going on in Dr. Gosnell's infanticide factory. Even after one of Dr. Gosnell's own employees quit and went to the state board and filed a formal complaint on what was going on, nothing was done.
When Dr. Gosnell applied for membership in the National Abortion Federation, the professional association of abortion practitioners because of the referrals that were possible, an inspector visited the clinic and turned him down - but made no report to the authorities on what she found there.
In the end, it wasn't the murder of babies or injuries to women that got Dr. Gosnell closed down, but a tip to the police that he was illegally proscribing drugs. Even then, he was allowed his freedom for a number of weeks, which gave him time to destroy most of his records.
Why?
And once this became a news story, why did the dinosaur media refuse to cover it? Under the classic journalism formula of 'if it bleeds, it leads' this should have been a major news story on the alphabet networks, the New York Times, the Washington Post, every major outlet you can think of. Why did they ignore it?
The picture below, courtesy of Breitbart is a photo of the empty 'reserved media section' at the Gosnell trial last week.
After the conservative blogosphere began hammering on this and Kirsten Powers, a Democrat and self professed liberal who works for FOX voiced outrage over the media's ignoring the Gosnell trial in a column that went viral, the Dinosaur media reluctantly began covering the story, with the Washington Post belatedly admitting that they perhaps 'should have covered this earlier' and finally assigning a reporter to the trial.
There are a number of reasons why the Pennsylvania authorities were reluctant to investigate Dr. Gosnell, and why the media steered clear of this story, and they're connected.
The dinosaur media, as even Dave Weigel of Slate admits, "are, generally, pro-choice. Twice, in D.C., I've caused a friend to literally leave a conversation and freeze me out for a day or so because I suggested that the Stupak Amendment and the Hyde Amendment made sense. There is a bubble."
These same, overwhelmingly Leftist journalists are generally rabidly anti-Second Amendment. So a one off situation where a mentally ill malcontent murders his mother, steals her guns and is somehow let into a school supposedly under lock down procedures tomurder others is a headline story, a cause celebre' and a trigger for massive legislation whereas a Philadelphia doctor who murdered hundreds is something to be ignored. It's all about the agenda and what serves it.
The same thing applies to a bureaucracy in a state that has a strong 'pro-choice' lobby. They're reluctant to be seen shutting down an abortion facility unless the abuses are so blatantly obvious they can't be ignored.
Another aspect of the Gosnell case that merited it being studiously ignored by the media (and I've yet to see it mentioned anywhere) is its connection with President Obama. This president has a clear record as a vigorous advocate of denying babies who survive an abortion medical care. His stance on the matter was more radical than even NARAL's. and the proper name for this is infanticide. Isn't that pretty much what Dr. Gosnell is accused of, murdering viable, fully formed babies outside the womb?
Even worse from the standpoint of the media and abortion-on-demand advocates, Planned Parenthood, whose primary source for their multi-million dollar income according to their own budget is abortion and the Federal funds that cover it seem to agree with that, as this snippet makes clear.
I actually feel for this woman. She appears to know that what she's defending is morally wrong, but also knows that as a Planned Parenthood spokesperson she's being paid to advocate for it. And her discomfort is obvious.
Now that this story is in the public eye, abortion on demand advocates are attempting to spin it by saying that Dr. Gosnell's little shop of horrors is what women will be facing if abortion is criminalized. But the fact remains this was a legally licensed abortion clinic in good standing, no one is talking about criminalizing abortion per se and that what we're talking about here is something very different. Again, had Dr, Gosnell been working for Planned Parenthood in a state that allows abortion later than 24 weeks in a clean shop with licensed assistants, nothing would be said.
What's bothering a lot of people whether they admit it or not is what this says about our culture.
At Dr. Gosnell's trial one of his 'assistants', Adrienne Moton sobbed as she recalled snipping the necks of at least 10 babies after they were delivered, just as Dr. Gosnell had instructed her.
One of the babies who was murdered was so developed and healthy - the 'nurse' estimated his age at 30 weeks - that Dr. Gosnell joked that that the baby was so big he could have walked to the bus stop.
On another occasion, she testified that she killed a baby delivered into a toilet by cutting its neck with scissors. Asked if she knew that was wrong, she replied, “At first I didn’t.”
For thirty years, our culture has been instructed to think of children in the womb no matter how advanced in gestation as mere blobs of tissue rather than viable, living human beings. Is it any wonder that at first Adrienne Moton had no second thoughts, no qualms about what she was doing, that she had to think about it for awhile?
At this point, we get to the ultimate issue.
And it's not enough to mouth a slogan like "I'm a liberal and pro choice."
Is a six-month-old child in the womb not a person with a right to life? Obviously in some cases, say, where the mother's life is in danger, there's a different priority.
But if we have a healthy mother and a healthy child in the womb conceived through consensual sex who is a viable baby, if a six-month old child in the womb with a fully developed nervous system and able to feel pain when they're ripped from the womb and beheaded is 'not a person', if that child's choices should be arbitrarily taken away for someone else's convenience, then that is neither liberal nor pro-choice if we look at a dictionary and see what those words actually mean.
Dr. Gosnell made a choice, to run an abattoir disguised as an abortion clinic. So did the women who went to his clinic. These women could have made the choice to procure a legal abortion anytime up to 24 weeks, and if they were poor the State of Pennsylvania would have paid for it. They chose not to. Or they could have chosen to allow the child to live, and put him up for adoption to a loving family.Again, they made the choice not to.
The choice they made instead involved taking away the choice of a defenseless human being who wanted very much to live. Do people whom call themselves 'pro-choice' support that choice? Are we as a culture at a point where we support that choice?
If the answer's yes, than we are no better than than the worshipers of Moloch, hurling children into the flames. And we will deserve no better than to ultimately share their fate.

College Seeks To Fire Professor Who Tried To Force Students To Vote For Obama

President James Richey of Florida's Brevard College has recommended that tenured Professor Sharon Sweet be fired after a three month investigation into her activities during the 2012 election.
The investigation said that she was guilty of 'electioneering, harassment, and incompetence', pretty strong language for academics to use about one of their own:
According to a report on the investigation:
“Professor Sweet strongly encouraged or mandated that students from several classes sign a pledge card that stated, ‘I pledge to vote for President Obama and Democrats up and down the ticket.’ She also misrepresented her intentions to multiple students, indicating at various times that she was conducting voter registration for the college, that the pledge cards were non-partisan voter registration forms, and that the pledge was a ‘statistical analysis.’”
In the eyes of the college, Sweet clearly created a hostile environment for students, since many feared their grades would be affected if they did not sign the pledge.
She also distributed partisan campaign materials in her class. Oh, and by the way, she taught math.So the taxpayers were paying for her to waste classroom time on something that had nothing even remotely to do with what she was supposed to be doing.
As of right now, Professor Sweet remains on paid leave until The Board of trustees votes on whether to fire her.
I see the race card floating to the top of the deck even as I write this, and I'd be very surprised if Attorney General Eric Holder wasn't just awaiting the Board's verdict to get our so-called Justice department involved on Professor Sweet's behalf on the taxpayer's dime.

'Voter Fraud Is A Myth' - That Keeps On Happening
Mellowese Richardson is a poll worker, a Democrat activist and an Obama worshiper of whom the president would be proud. She also admitted on camera voting more than once in Ohio in 2012, registering what appear to be a number of other fraudulant 'voters', as well as filling out ballots for other 'voters' for Obama, a collection of several federal felonies under 42 U.S.C. § 1973i. And she is planning on fighting any charges "Absolutely. For Mr. Obama and Mr. Obama's right to sit as president of the United States" .
J. Christian Adams is a former Justice Department election lawyer who served in the Voting Rights Section at the U.S. Department of Justice and has written extensively on aiding and abetting of voter fraud, particularly under the Obama Administration...and he's wondering where Eric Holder and the Justice Department are:
Where is U.S. Attorney Carter Stewart? Has he sent FBI agents yet to Meloweese Richardson’s house to get a statement? 42 U.S.C. § 1973i(e) makes it a felony punishable by a fine of $10,000 or five years in prison for anyone to vote twice in a federal election. Richardson admits on camera she violated this law, multiple times – all for President Obama. Will her political loyalty mean that Carter Stewart doesn’t send the FBI so quickly, and waits until the state proceedings play out? {...}
This is the same sort of behavior which occurred in Noxubee County Mississippi in the case of United States v. Ike Brown that I discuss in detail in my book Injustice – double voting, poll worker collusion, absentee fraud, false voting at the polls. Her double voting sounds like Carrie Kate Windham’s behavior in Mississippi. Windham was a Democrat Party official that cast votes illegally for other people. In that case, many in the Justice Department didn’t want to do anything about it either. They were willing to give Brown a pass because of who he was and who the victims were. Meanwhile, the sanctity of our elections corrode. It seems to keep on going, and a whole bunch of “experts” on elections write books and blogs minimizing the criminal behavior. Could it be because they and Richardson are allied politically? Whatever the reason, the vote fraud deniers do a disservice to the Rule of Law they profess to support. We’ll see how seriously Eric Holder deals with admitted voter fraud by an Obama activist. Will she be charged in federal court?
Don't hold your breath. But again, here are some questions to ponder. How many Mellowese Richardsons are there out there, to whom the end justifies the means? Considering that there were whole precincts in places like Cleavland and Philadelphia where turnout was 100-120% of the registered voters and not a single ballot was cast for Romney, I'd say more than a few.
Is there a connection with Democrats being so vociferous that voter fraud doesn't exist,. fighting against voter ID laws and championing obvious fraudulent mechanisms like same day registration and the fact that the vast majority of voter fraud benefits them directly?
You be the judge.

Racism, Anyone? Colin Powell Endorses Obama
I note with some interest that former chairman of the Joint Chiefs and former secretary of state Colin Powell has endorsed President Obama for a second term.
What a surprise.
Summarizing the past four years under Obama, Powell said “Generally we’ve come out of the dive and we’re starting to gain altitude.” He acknowledged that problems remain, saying “The unemployment rate is too high, people are still hurting in housing but I see that we’re starting to rise up.”
Turning to foreign policy, Powell said he saw “the president get us of one war, start to get us out of a second war and did not get us into any new wars. And finally I think that the actions he has taken with respect to protecting us from terrorism have been very very solid. And so, I think we ought to keep on the track that we are on.”
All very amusing coming from the man whom, along with Clinton holdover George Tenet was chiefly responsible for selling President Bush on the Iraq War and 'nation building'. I could say quite a bit, were I so inclined, about the hypocrisy of General Powell blaming President Bush, the man whom promoted him for policies he was instrumental in promoting just as soon as they went sour.
I suppose to Colin Powell, Libya doesn't count as a war and Little Rock, Fort Hood and Benghazi don't count as terrorist attacks. And a stagnant economy counts as 'starting to rise up'.
In another part of his charming little stand up routine, General Powell said: "I think I'm a Republican of a more moderate mold. That's something of a dying breed I'm sorry to say."
Now that's odd. We have a relatively moderate Republican running this year, and an extremely moderate Republican whom ran in 2008. And guess what? Colin Powell didn't endorse either of them and what they have in common is that they're both white and both ran against Barack Obama.
The truth of the matter is that Colin Powell rose to prominence as an affirmative action general under Republican presidents and found it convenient to proclaim himself a Republican back then. He did quite well out of it.
But at this point, he's retired and no longer needs to wear that facade anymore. So he's free to endorse someone who amounts to an affirmative action president based on racial solidarity.
He's certainly well within his rights to do so, but I'd much rather he take Samuel L. Jackson's stance and was honest about it.
It would be a refreshing change for him.

Lots Of Obama Supporters Apparently Never Even Heard Of The Benghazi Attacks
An interesting sampler, done at an Obama campaign rally at Ohio University on October 17 by Revealing Politics, who says "most of the event attendees” had never heard of the terrorist attack or knew whom Ambassador Stevens was.
Yet another argument that we need to start administering tests to voters before handing them a ballot.

Ah, Those Polls...The New Campaign Tool
Usually, I limit the attention I pay to polls, because I realize that there's only one that counts, and it happens on Election Day.
But we're seeing a new development here, and it's insidious and worrisome.
Sometimes in past elections, you'd see an outlier poll or three that was obviously skewed. What new this year is that we are seeing an organized attempt to corroborate seriously cooked polls commissioned by the Obama Media with a serious media narrative by those same outlets that keeps working on drumming in the message that Mitt Romney is losing badly and that President Obama is inevitable.
The idea, of course is to dampen Republican voter enthusiasm, fundraising and turnout.
Aside from oversampling Democrats, the Obama Media polls are getting the results they're getting from overestimating Democrat turnout.Let's examine how this works.
In 2008, the electorate that elected Barack Obama was 39% Democrat, 32% GOP and 29% Independent, a D+7 electorate. And Barack Obama defeated McCain by 7 points, the same margin.
In 2004, the electorate was 37% Democrat, 37% Republican, and 26% Independent.. President Bush beat John Kerry by 3 points nationally.
What alomost every Obama Media poll is doing is assuming to get their results is that the Democrats equal or increase their share of the electorate over 2008, which was their largest in decades. That isn't going to hasppen.
2008 was a special year, with a seriously unpopular lame duck Republican in teh White House, with economic anxiety that was primarily created by the Democrat congress but was manipulated by their friends in the media to cast a taint on the GOP nominee that year, John McCain.
The Democrats had a young, charismatic Barack Obama selling hope n' change to camouflage his non-existent resume, someone who was a mirror for whatever people wanted to see in him.Since he had no real record, he was able to run on promises. And to add to the mix, John McCain was a flawed candidate disliked by much of his own party, ran one of the worst campaigns in living memory and, because McCain opted for public financing while Barack Obama famously broke his word on that subject and went private, McCain was outspent roughly ten to one.
None of these factors exist today. President Obama has a record he needs to run from, the financing is pretty much a level playing field this year, Barack Obama has a muchg tougher candidate to face and Republican enthusiasm is a lot higher than it was in 2008, with higher percentages of Republicans and independents in the battle ground states and lower percentages of registered Democrats. Recent polls from AP, Politico and the daily tracking polls from Rasmussen and Gallup all figure in what will be a relatively lower turnout of Democrats in 2012 as compared to 2008, and they all show the race essentially tied. Only those polls showing an electorate with Democrat affiliation equal or greater than 2008 show Obama with any sizable lead.
The proof on the ground of this is that we're seeing President Obama speaking at smaller venues to smaller crowds than he did in 2008. If he was really pulling away, he be speaking tol arger crowds in bigger venues.
Another factor driving things is that the Obama Campaign spent a massive amount of money on ad buys right after their convention, while the Romney forces held off for the stretch. That may or may not have been a wise strategic decision, but we'll see.
My sense of this is that the country is divided right now, and that there's a great deal of flux in at least 10-15% of the electorate. In spite of the media's best efforts to keep it out of the news, a lot of Americans are waking up to the fact that the country is in dire economic straits and that things are getting worse, not better. And the economy is going to be the main issue of this election.
Mitt Romney has yet to sell at least a part of the electorate that he is the man to lead us to an economic recovery, and the Obama Campaign's 'look a squirrel' strategy has done a decent job of distracting people from the president's own abysmal record, with the active participation of the ever helpful Obama Media.
However, in the debates, even though they are being hosted primarily by Obama partisans, Governor Romney will have a chance to talk to the American people unfiltered and President Obama will likewise have to face up to his dismal performance.Americans are going to watch the debates and make up their minds.
One thing you can expect, of course, is that no matter how well Governor Romney actually does in the debates, the Obama media will call it for the president and release new polls showing the president 'won'. Expect skewed exit polls showing President Obama winning handily and early calls of states ala' Florida in 2000 to occur in a final effort to suppress GOP turnout.
Many of these people refer to themselves as journalists when in fact, they're just campaign operatives.
Most of them have no idea how damaging this is.
Distrust of America's media is at an all time high, and what's even worse in many ways is the fact that a significant part of the media no longer evenmake an effort to hide thei rbias any more.
That's a very dangerous place for a free society to be in.

The Democrats Open Up Their Convention In Charlotte Tomorrow Night
With First Lady Michelle Obama as the opening act.
I'm a bit concerned about this. There were thunderstorms earlier in Charlotte with rain in the forecast tomorrow, and I hope proper precautions are taken to protect her from getting rained on.
Mrs Obama will be proceeded by Martin O’Malley, the Governor of Maryland who isn't sure from one day to the next whether we're better off than we were four years ago.
The Keynote Address comes next, by Julián Castro, Mayor of San Antonio, Texas.
Then there's a cute Michelle Obama Video and some suitably servile and fawning remarks by someone named Elaine Brye. followed by Mrs. Obama's speech.
Meanwhile literally busloads of Democrats (or more correctly, whomever they can pay or otherwise motivate to come) are being trucked into Charlotte from out of state to try and ensure President Obama a full house on Thursday when he speaks at Bank of America Stadium, a 74,000-seat outdoor arena. The president has decided that accepting the nomination over at Time Warner Cable Arena with the rest of the peons is beneath his dignity, so he wants a larger venue.
Bank of America Stadium, by the way does not have a roof. It would certainly be a shame if it rained on Barack Obama's parade....
For added wallop, I must see if I can get a certain Rabbi in Israel to intervene..he seems to have a good track record for these things.
Of course, if the rest of you pray for heavy rain in Charlotte on September 6th, it can only help.
For those of you of the Jewish persuasion, here's a good prayer to send out. Just make sure to mention Charlotte, North Carolina as the destination!!

The Obama Media And The Unbelievably Negative Coverage Of Mitt Romney's Trip

If they had any honor or credibility left, much of our press has sacrificed it with their coverage of Governor Romney's foreign trip.
Today's headlines on the Governor's trip to Poland are a superb example. There's no headlines or even much mention about Governor Romney's superb and well received speech to the Polish people, or his endorsement by Polish icon Lechs Walesa.
No, today's screaming headlines concern one campaign aide who told an intrusive and rude press pool exactly what they deserved to hear.
Governor Romney was visiting Poland's Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw along with a delegation of Poland's veterans. As he paid his respects, instead of respecting the solemn moment, the media jackals began baying questions at Romney. At which point, traveling press secretary Rick Gorka lost it:
CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?
Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"
CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!
Gorka: "Show some respect"
NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."
Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."
Yes, that's the headline. Not the fact that Governor Romney was incredibly well received by one of our most loyal allies in Europe.
As I mentioned previously, the same thing happened in Britain ( with the connivance of a large contingent of the British press and a number of British politicians), where soundbites were literally invented based on something Governor Romney never even said. And of course, the Obama Media here was full of Governor Romney's 'gaffes' which actually weren't really gaffes at all.
And it happened in Israel where Governor Romney's trip and an amazing speech were again received as overwhelmingly favorable by the people he came to speak to.
The press headlines about Governor Romney's Israel trip? Hysterical allegations of 'racism' by a corrupt Arafat-era PLO hack which were demonstrably false, but again, that was the headline.
According to CNN, Mr. Gorka later called the press to apologize. As far as I'm concerned, he needn't have. As this point, many of them are simply behaving like hostile entities who deserve no consideration whatsoever.
It's important to look at one aspect of this...what exactly was the purpose of this trip? If it was designed to have Governor Romney meet with foreign leaders and let the citizens of some of our most important allies know where he stood on matters that concern them, he succeeded quite well in two out of three countries. And even in Britain, we have no idea about how the British public actually felt, since the antics of the UK's politicians and press pretty much precluded any serious discussions.
But you'd never know it to read the dinosaur media.
Not only did we see partisan screeds on the Governor's actual trip, but we saw the press co-operate enthusiastically when the Obama Administration released stories like the one on the supposedly never returned Churchill bust, timed specifically to embarrass Mitt Romney when he was in the UK.
When that story, peddled on the official White House site proved to be an outright falsehood, the story was quickly buried. Can you imagine the coverage if Mitt Romney had done something even remotely similar?
Ditto with Nancy Pelosi's gaffe on how President Obama has 'been to Israel over and over again'. Buried in the memory hole.
And after all this, the Obama Media is attacking Romney for 'blaming the media'! Tres le chutzpah, if you'll allow a linguistically mixed observation.
If Governor Romney had any illusions that he was going to be treated with even an iota of fairness or even basic decency, I'm sure he now understands things differently.
If I were Governor Romney, I would seriously consider retaliating by taking away from these people the one thing they value most...access. Creating a press pool that feeds them exactly what you want them to have is the proper way to deal with them. They won't like it,but as I said, at this point you're essentially dealing with hostile entities that might as well be on the payroll of the Obama Campaign.
And I would insist on someone I considered fair and balanced to moderate the coming debates.
UPDATE: Just listen to these reporters screech at Romney in Poland, courtesy of Bill Kristol:
You could almost feel like they need to be hosed down just to approach human standards. Not only was Gorka's response totally appropriate, he ought to be commended for his patience and self control.
I echo Bill Kristol's sentiments. Here's hoping the Romney campaign doesn't become defensive and apologetic, but hangs tough and calls this for what it is.

Obamabot Sarah Silverman Will Have Sex For Obama Campaign Cash
Yes, she really did offer to have sex for Obama.
Yuck. Not even with my worst enemy's equipment. Not on my worse day.
Aside from offering to commit adultery for money ("I'm a nice girl"???)with a married man, that sort of raises questions about the job title of Debbie Wasserman Schultz, head of the DNC, who is ultimately behind this.
I suppose I have to call her Madam Wasserman Schultz now, when here I always thought she was just one of the girls.
One thing positive about this. Sarah Silverman does a great deal to combat the stereotype that Jews are intelligent.
I have to give this sad, misguided creature that much.

The President As Huckster

Aside from selling questionable designer fashion ware, the Obama campaign is now involved in yet another sleazy endeavor.
If a couple you know is getting married, they encourage people to donate the price of the gifts they would have given to the Obama campaign. I kid you not.
Just imagine how overjoyed a young couple is going to be after footing the bill for a wedding and then having Auntie or your best man say 'Hey, I donated $50 to Obama's campaign instead of cutting you a check. What, you're not happy?'
They're even encouraging couples on the campaign site to register, so that their friends and relatives will be steered towards being obligated to donate to Obama whether they support the president or not rather than putting in a little something in cash or gifts to help the new couple get started. Because you see, the president is...well, entitled to it. All of it. Just because he can.
This is how con men and cult leaders operate, because they feel they're owed everything you have regardless of what it is. It's also how another well known class of people operate, but I'll let you fill in that particular blank yourself.
Obama's senior adviser and factotum Valerie Jarret's daughter just got married, and I'm sure the gifts were plentiful, given the number of people who want to curry favor with someone like the president of the United States. I guarantee you those guests weren't encouraged to cut checks to Obama instead of gifts.
He simply has no shame, and no limits.

Obama Refuses To Sign Anti-Gay Discrimination Order..And Won't Push for Gay Marriage Plank In Party Platform!

Amid all of the hoopla over President Obama's evolution-for-campaign-cash on same sex marriage, a couple of unfortunate facts have come to light.
As I write this, there's an already drafted executive order that would prohibit discrimination by federal contractors on the basis of sexual orientation or gender identity that's been heavily pushed by gay rights activists. Seems like a no-brainer to me...but the letter has been sitting in the president's office, unsigned, for months.
Gutsy!
Even more to the point, President Obama has decided that the White House will NOT push for a pro same sex marriage plank in the Democrat's party platform to be adopted at the party's convention in Charlotte, North Carolina this year.
Yes, chew that one over for a minute..the Democrats are going to spend over $35 million to have a convention in North Carolina...which just voted overwhelmingly to ban same sex marriage.
For all of those gays who sent money to the Obama campaign yesterday and today, well, I'll let Johnny Rotten have the last word:

Samuel L. Jackson: "I Voted For Obama Just Because He's Black"
Kudos to Mr. Jackson for being honest enough to admit what most of President Obama's black supporters won't.
In an interview with Ebony magazine, Jackson explained, "I voted for Barack because he was black. 'Cuz that's why other folks vote for other people — because they look like them ... That's American politics, pure and simple. [Obama's] message didn't mean [bleep] to me."
As I've said before, racism comes in all colors. Dr. Martin Luther King's dream is still a ways off, and in my opinion black Americans with the mentality of Mr. Jackson are a large part of the obstacle to it being realized.

Hypocrisy In Action - Obama And The Hurricane of Hype
Much is being made of President Obama for cutting short his highly expensive vacation on Martha's Vineyard to 'take command' during Hurricane Irene's nudge of the East Coast.
Based on some of what I'm seeing from his allies in the press, they'd like to see him get the Medal of Honor for simply doing what is normally part of a president's job description.
As various news outlets mentioned, it was the president's political advisers who suggested that it would be prudent for him to cut short his five star stay at the Vineyard ( which already wasn't polling well in a country wracked by recession and unemployment) to be in DC to deal with Hurricane Irene. With the rain promising poor weather for golf and boating, the president obviously thought it best to comply and turn yet another crisis into an opportunity.
Unfortunately, Irene didn't exactly live up to expectations. Most New Yorkers simply laughed at Mayor Bloomberg's shrill orders to evacuate, with even the denizens of some nursing homes and residents of low lying areas like Coney Island and Rockaway telling the mayor 'faggeddaboudit'.
Residents of Florida and the Carolinas who had actually lived through real hurricanes giggled a the dinosaur media's earnest reports of deadly 35 MPH winds, and the Atlantic City casinos announced business as usual come Monday.
In the end Irene was classified a s category 1 'hurricane' one step above a garden variety tropical storm. It amounted to a heavy rainstorm, minor damage in some harbor areas, some flooding, some power outages and yes, a few deaths, most of them caused by falling trees or tree limbs, fallen live wires or by traffic accidents linked to things like traffic signals going dead because of the power outages.
Not nothing, but hardly the apocalypse.
President Obama was indeed present, although after a careful look I can't find any mention of his actually doing anything besides making a few statements in that hopey-changey baritone of his. But before we start passing out medals, let's take a look back to see how how President Obama has dealt with similar emergencies in the past.
For instance, shortly after President Obama was elected, there was a major ice storm in Kentucky in 2009 that took out the power, blocked roads and cost the lives of 54 people, many of them children and senior citizens. At least a million Americans were without power or heat in the dead of winter, and President Obama and FEMA were nowhere to be found for over a week, after a number of fatalities had occurred. I particularly remember that during this period, the president was mainly concerned with his Superbowl party in his toasty warm office. How about 'Obama dozed and the people froze' for a slogan?
Then there were the horrendous Nashville floods of May 2010 that left whole parts of the city underwater, led to a number of deaths when people were trapped by the rising waters and caused well over a billion dollars in damages. Not only was President Obama nowhere to be found, he didn't even feel that disaster merited a mention.
In September of 2010, Tropical Storm Hermine tore through North Texas, leaving eight dead, over 200 homes destroyed and thousands of citizens without water or electricity. Governor Rick Perry made a formal request to the president to declare North Texas a disaster area and get FEMA involved.President Obama simply denied his request, which meant Texas got no FEMA aid whatsoever.
And then of course, there was the Gulf Oil Spill, and the almost farcical delay of the Obama Administration to do anything about it for weeks. When even a Democrat-for-life like James Carville starts screeching at you on national TV to get off your behind and do something, you know there's a problem.
Actually, to be fair, the president did do something. After delaying any response at all for weeks, he finally ordered the shut down of dredging protective sand berms designed to keep the oil off the coasts after Governor Jindall got tired of waiting for authorization and went ahead and authorized dredging the sand berms on his own to try and protect Louisiana's coastline and fishing industry. And there was a lot of behind the scenes action. I'm still wondering what ultimately happened to that $20 billion dollar escrow account 'controlled by a third party' that the president extorted out of BP.
Now, all this leads us to another question....why is the president so anxious to appear to be 'in command' of Hurricane Irene after essentially ignoring all these other disasters?
There's a one word answer - politics.
President Obama, like the fictional Mayor Joe Quimby of Simpson's fame has an aide whispering in his ear 'elections are coming up.' And that makes all the difference. It's what he cares about, his entire frame of reference.
Another difference worth noting is that the four incidents I mentioned involved Red states - Kentucky, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama - all states the president is fairly unpopular in and has little or no chance of ever carrying.
Now Irene, which affected those eastern seaboard Blue states like New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, Connecticut and carried in 2008 and states he needs to carry again to have any chance of winning. And they're also a rich source of donations for Obama's re-election campaign. Rest assured that those Blue states will get all of the president's attention and the FEMA aid they need.
So much for this president being the president of all the people.
It's one thing to disagree with someone's politics. It's quite another to find his actions and his sense of himself despicable on almost a daily basis.

Introducing The Barack Obama SEAL Action Figure!

Well, you knew this was coming....The Barack Obama Seal Team Six Action Figure!
No joke, it's being made by Hero Builders, a company in Connecticut and has been dubbed 'Rambama'. I'm sure most of the on-air lineup at MSNBC have already placed rush orders.
Never mind - it's curiously appropriate somehow that what we have here is a phony stuffed plastic dummy playing dress up with a toy gun and a 'Punisher' tee. And that it's being marketed by an American company but was likely made overseas by a subcontractor.
The Sniper has an amusing piece comparing how President Obama handles certain situations compared with real Navy SEALs.
