DOJ is Closing In on Spygate...and Biden Is In The Middle Of It

 

 

 The Department Of Justice Is closing in on Spygate, probably the worst election scandal in American history.

Basically, here's what happened. Former DNI Richard Grenell who had access to everything explains it quite well here in a great speech at the Republican National Convention. While the whole speech is a gem, the part on Spygate  starts at 5:40

As former DNI Grenell points out, Biden came up with the idea of targeting General Flynn, the incoming National security advisor  weeks before the inauguration. Declassified notes written by Peter Strzok proved that Joe Biden was the one who suggested going after General Michael Flynn using the Logan Act.

And exactly as Richard Grenell said, they came up with totally bogus 'evidence' from a dossier paid for by the DNC to get a FISA order to spy on the Trump campaign during the election itself. They also lied to judges and conducted secret surveillance on the Trump campaign beyond what FISA's rules call for. And the FBI, CIA and members of the Obama Administration were all part of this. 

U.S. Attorney John Durham, who is leading the investigation into the Obama administration’s spying on the Trump campaign has already gotten a guilty plea out of former former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith, who admitted to altering evidence that the FBI used to get a FISA warrant extension for another 90 days to continue spying on the Trump campaign.

The FBI even admits they acted wrongly. FBI Director Christopher Wray has agreed there was illegal surveillance on the Trump campaign.

Think about that for a moment. Here we have the lame duck administration of a Democrat president spying on the candidate of the opposing party during an election. And using the American people's national security apparatus to do it.

This has never happened before in America's history. And it's worth  asking why this happened. Who would have given the orders for this? Would high government officials and the then vice president have done this on their own? 

Doubtful. The orders for this came from someone at the top. And it's worth recalling that this is an administration whose President was willing to weaponize the IRS,  the Department of Justice, Homeland Security, ICE and other government agencies for partisan political reasons, something else unprecedented in American politics.

It gets better. In May, declassified Department of Justice (DOJ) documents showed clearly that President Obama was aware of the illegally wiretapped conversations of then-incoming National Security Adviser Michael Flynn with then-Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak as far back as December, 2016. Joe Biden was also aware, and was present at a White House meeting where the bogus Flynn investigation was discussed. So yes, they knew.

Also, U.S. Attorney Durham is also investigating whether Obama’s former CIA Director, John Brennan, pressured the Intelligence Community into pushing the theory that Russia was trying to help Donald Trump win in 2016. That of course was bogus as well.

Actually, Putin was really hoping Hilary Clinton would win. Aside from  fact that Russian intelligence, along with Iran and the Chinese among others had already hacked into her unprotected and illegal  server and retrieved classified documents ('Come now Mrs. President. We wouldn't want to release these to the American public, now would we?') Putin had already dealt with Hillary Clinton before and knew she was easy to bend. Among other things, during her Russian 'reset', Mrs. Clinton gave the Russians full details of America's most secret anti-missile defenses, known as 'hit to kill.'

Also, Fred Fleitz,a former CIA analyst who also worked on the House Intelligence Committee accused  then-CIA Director John Brennan of suppressing the truth in a report in 2017 that alleged that  Russia backed Trump over Clinton, which contradicted a House committee report from March 2018 showing that it did not. 

As it turns out,  newly declassified intelligence of the kind former DNI Richard Grennel accused the Obama administration of classifying to hide exactly how spygate was pulled off. In this case, Flietz revealed that his sources inside the House Intelligence Committee told him “the actual drafting of the intelligence community assessment was done by three close associates of former CIA Director John Brennan who refused any evidence, even high quality evidence that suggested that Putin would have preferred dealing with the venal and self centered Clintons. This is contrary to the usual practice which makes these things a community effort of all 14 US intelligence services.

What we maybe seeing here as this gathers steam is a criminal prosecution of John Brennen for lying to congress. Of course, as a Muslim, he's allowed to lie to infidels.

Brennen has been a very interesting CIA head. As The Weekly Standard‘s Stephen Hayes reported, Brennan directed the CIA to hide most of the documents seized in the Osama bin Laden raid, because that information contradicted the Obama administration’s narrative of a “decimated” al-Qaeda, a moderate Iran, and success in fighting radical Islamist terror.

 Brennan also had the CIA force survivors of the Benghazi attack to sign non disclosure documents to silence them...at the funeral service  for the victims. 

 As I said, an interesting CIA director. Here's hoping John Durham's investigation reveals the truth.

Behind The Smoke And Mirrors -The New Clinton Email Scandal Explained

The latest bombshell to hit this already explosive campaign season is an announcement by FBI director James Comey that the FBI has opened up a new investigation into the Clinton e-mail scandal...and that Clinton's special assistant Huma Abedin and her 'husband' Anthony Weiner are involved.

As usual with Clinton Inc., this is a really tangled web, so let's examine what's going on, and of course, what it means.

First, let's quickly review:

As you know, Hillary Clinton went through what passed for an investigation into the felonies she committed as Secretary of State with her illegal, unprotected private servers and her careless handling of classified materials in violation of the Official Records Act. She has said repeatedly that she told the FBI that she had turned over all her e-mails. We certainly don't know if she actually did, because she deleted 32,000 of them without turning them over and than used a software called Bleachbit to destroy any possibility of recovering them. Since the FBI didn't even record her interview or make a transcript, that's where that stands.

Moreover, the FBI gave Clinton aide Cheryl Mills immunity while allowing her attorney client privilege (unheard of in these circumstances where someone being interviewed is a possible target) in exchange for her turning over her laptop...which they destroyed even though it had been subpoenaed by congress as evidence.

Basically the fix was in and Bill Clinton's little 45 minute meeting with AG Loretta Lynch aboard her private plane - just by chance, of course - was obviously to work out the details and and reaffirm Mrs. Clinton wasn't going to be charged because the Obama Department of Justice would tell FBI Director James Comey they weren't going to prosecute. And as the Wall Street Journal reveals, that Lynch and her DOJ goons would make sure there wasn't going to be any investigation of the Clinton Foundation.

So one day later, having gotten his orders from Lynch and the DOJ, Comey went to the unusual extent of calling a press conference, went over all the reasons Hillary Clinton should have been charged and then finessed it by saying that he would recommend no charges be filed.

While that caused a firestorm at the time in many quarters, Democrats acted as though Comey deserved the Medal of Honor. They lauded his ethics, praised him to the hilt and the Media rejoiced.

Then last week, FBI Director Comey suddenly announced that the FBI was opening a new investigation on the Clinton e-mails.

You see, Clinton shadow Huma Abedin has told the FBI that she had turned over all of her e-mails and all of her devices. Apparently she didn't, and a new batch of 650,000 emails were found on a laptop belonging to - wait for it - Abedin's hubby, none other than the infamous Anthony Weiner!

 

Here's the New York Times bewailing the sad news but unable to avoid reporting it, because everyone else was:

Federal law enforcement officials said Friday that the new emails uncovered in the closed investigation into Hillary Clinton's use of a private email server were discovered after the F.B.I. seized electronic devices belonging to Huma Abedin, a top aide to Mrs. Clinton, and her husband, Anthony Weiner.

The F.B.I. is investigating illicit text messages that Mr. Weiner sent to a 15-year-old girl in North Carolina. The bureau told Congress on Friday that it had uncovered new emails related to the Clinton case -- one federal official said they numbered in the thousands -- potentially reigniting an issue that has weighed on the presidential campaign and offering a lifeline to Donald J. Trump less than two weeks before the election.

Comey's letter to Chaffetz said:

"In connection with an unrelated case, the FBI has learned of the existence of emails that appear to be pertinent to the investigation … I agreed that the FBI should take appropriate investigative steps designed to allow investigators to review these emails to determine whether they contain classified information, as well as to assess their importance to our investigation."

Aiyeee! I have a feeling that Weiner, with nothing left to lose told the FBI what he had and cut a deal.

Of course, no sooner had Comey announced this then he went from being a Democrat hero to someone who was a law breaker, who was 'endangering the election process,' 'unethical.' and a disgrace. Apparently, Comey announced this even though he was ordered not to by the Obama department of Justice and Loretta Lynch.

I have to admit to a nasty laugh or three as I watch the same people who applauded Comey when he interfered in an election by getting Clinton off the hook now want him burnt at the stake:



 Trey Gowdy a distinguished ex-prosecutor is entirely correct, of course. Hillary Clinton made the decisions that led to this state of affairs, and for her or her creatures to blame anyone else is just ridiculous, just an attempt at the old shell game to get people's attention diverted.




So why did Comey do this? And why now?

Since the investigation of Hillary Clinton's e-mails and the Clinton Foundation were deliberately stonewalled and set aside by the Obama Justice Department , there's been a major morale problem at the Bureau according to various sources. Comey understandably had lost the respect of many of the agents, there are quite a few resignation letters on his desk and it's at the point where, reportedly, a number of people won't even return his greetings and limit their interaction with him as much as possible. Reportedly, even his wife was disappointed in him and kept urging him to admit he was wrong when he said Hillary shouldn't be charged.

This was perhaps a way of trying to recover a little self respect and mollify folks he works with by actually pursuing an investigation. Certainly he's not doing it to win friends and influence people having alienated most of DC.

Another reason is that having seen the reeking criminality of the Clintons up close, he might actually have had some pang of conscience over what her becoming president might actually mean for America. People who work in law and law enforcement have, typically, an inordinate respect for the law, what it means, how it works and what it does. The idea of seeing an unrepentant criminal like Hillary Clinton become president might have been just too much for James Comey to stomach.

So what effect is all this going to have? What's likely to happen?

In spite of what the media is saying, Hillary Clinton's huge drop in the polls was already a fact before this came out. Like James Comey, apparently a lot of people are doing some serious thinking about whether they really want Hillary Clinton in the White House with all that entails. This latest revelation won't help, of course, but the Wikileaks releases, Mrs. Clinton's conduct during the campaign, total disgust at the ridiculously partisan media and a desire for real change have all had an effect. This last item just cements what was already apparent.

Comey could be fired by President Obama, but at this point that might almost be a relief for him. Like Anthony Weiner, James Comey has nothing left to lose. It would also give even more credence to Mrs. Clinton's having a lot to hide if it appeared he were being punished merely for doing his job. The optics wouldn't look good. But don't be surprised if Comey 'resigns' after the election during Obama's lame duck period..and if I were him, I would seriously watch my six. These are ruthless and very vindictive people he's dealing with here.

That said, don't expect anything serious to come of this. It's already a known fact that President Obama lied openly about not knowing about Mrs. Clinton's illegal e-mail setup and even sent her e-mails on it, which is exactly why he invoked executive privilege on any emails using the alias he created. But if Mrs. Clinton looks like she's going to be convicted of anything, she knows where a lot of bodies are buried, can cut a deal and implicate him.

If he's elected, President Trump might very well decide to walk back his pledge to investigate Hillary completely since he has to know where that's going to end up leading. While both these vampires rate a stake in the heart, perhaps just getting them off America's neck and concentrating on fixing the massive damage they did might be more constructive than putting them in orange jump suits as guests of the Federal government, as justified as that would be.

The FBI could not review all of the Hillary Clinton emails under investigation because:

• The Clintons’ Apple personal server used for Hillary Clinton work email could not be located for the FBI to examine.
• An Apple MacBook laptop and thumb drive that contained Hillary Clinton email archives were lost, and the FBI couldn’t examine them.
• 2 BlackBerry devices provided to FBI didn’t have their SIM or SD data cards.
• 13 Hillary Clinton personal mobile devices were lost, discarded or destroyed. Therefore, the FBI couldn’t examine them.
• Various server backups were deleted over time, so the FBI couldn’t examine them.
• After State Dept. notified Hillary Clinton her records would be sought by House Benghazi Committee, copies of her email on the laptops of her attorneys Cheryl Mills and Heather Samuelson were wiped with BleachBit, and the FBI couldn’t review them.
• After her emails were subpoenaed, Hillary Clinton’s email archive was also permanently deleted from her then-server “PRN” with BleachBit, and the FBI couldn’t review it.
• Also after the subpoena, backups of the PRN server were manually deleted.

Even though the FBI did not have a complete record of Hillary Clinton’s emails on three unclassified personal servers, it found:

• 2,093 emails State Dept. currently classifies as Confidential or Secret. (State Dept. did not address what their classification was at the time they were sent.)
• 193 emails (81 separate email conversations) that were classified at the time they were sent, ranging from “Confidential” to “Top Secret/Special Access Program.”
• 68 of the 81 email chains remain classified today.
• 8 were Top Secret.
• 37 were Secret.
• 36 were Confidential.
• 7 were Special Access Program.
• 3 were Sensitive Compartmentalized Information.
• 36 were Not Releasing to Foreign Governments.
• 2 were Releasable Only to Five Allied Partners.
• 12 of the suspect email chains were not provided by Hillary’s attorneys. The FBI found them other ways.
• The email chains contained classified information from 5 other agencies: CIA, DOD, FBI, NGA and NSA.

The Clinton E-Mail Scandal And How It Will End

The media are doing their best to keep it very much under the wire, but the Clinton e-mail scandal has been heating up to the point it can't be ignored much longer.

Intelligence Community Inspector General I. Charles McCullough III just made an absolutely damning  report to the intelligence committees in the House and Senate to the effect that in addition to 1,340 emails designated “classified” stored on her private home brew server, Mrs. Clinton actually had emails on her server that contained intelligence from “special access programs,” which is “a level of classification beyond even ‘top secret’.”

“To date, I have received two sworn declarations from one [intelligence community] element. These declarations cover several dozen emails containing classified information determined by the IC element to be at the confidential, secret, and top secret/sap levels,” said the IG letter to lawmakers with oversight of the intelligence community and State Department. “According to the declarant, these documents contain information derived from classified IC element sources.”

'Special Access' is highly restricted to 'need to know' high level persons  because exposure of the intelligence could reveal the source. That could derail an entire method of intel collection, or put an important source in mortal danger. Even the very news that Mrs. Clinton was doing this on an unsecured private server  almost certainly damaged U.S. intelligence collection. Would you provide intel to the U.S. if you found out Mrs. Clinton had been risking your life in this fashion just to pad her corrupt foundation with a few more dishonest dollars, or hide some of her more questionable doings? Would you even remotely consider it?

And yes, the information was definitely hacked.

 Mrs. Clinton at this point is probably  guilty of many breeches of State Department policy as well as outright felonies according to the federal laws covering these matters...for instance, to cite  18 US Code 107:

"Concealment, Removal, or Mutilation Generally: Whoever willfully and unlawfully conceals, removes, mutilates, obliterates, or destroys, or attempts to do so, or, with intent to do so takes and carries away any record, proceeding, map, book, paper, document, or other thing, filed or deposited with any clerk or officer of any court of the United States, or in any public office, or with any judicial or public officer of the United States, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than three years, or both. ... and shall forfeit his office and be disqualified from holding any office under the United States."

There's also 18 U.S. Code § 793 – Gathering, transmitting or losing defense information and quite possibly 18 U.S. Code § 798 – Disclosure of classified information.

The individual who transmits and the individual who receives and retains TS/SCI information on a private server jointly share the guilt for risking the compromise and exploitation of the information by hostile intelligence services. Maximum sentence is a fine and ten years in prison.

That's especially interesting since (a) it could involve Mrs. Clinton's close associates Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills and (b) it's now come out that Mrs. Clinton had a second private server, not the one in Chappaqua, but another satellite server located at the Clinton Family Foundation. Since whatever was on Hillary's server was thus accessible by Bill Clinton and other people at the Clinton Foundation, and since both contained data and documents top secret and higher in classification, whomever accessed this data could likewise be indicted and prosecuted. We also have to wonder whether this satellite server in the Clinton Foundation was used to traffick intel and classified information to foreign powers or other interested customers for 'donations.' Would that surprise anyone, knowing what we know now?

18 U.S. Code § 1505 – Obstruction of proceedings before departments, agencies, and committees. Given the stonewalling and probable perjury based on Mrs. Clinton's various statements before congressional committees, this could easily apply. Even more damaging, it's now been proven that dozens of senior State Department officials knew about Mrs. Clinton's illegal private server and not only covered up for her but openly lied to groups requesting lawful and legitimate  Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) compliance. 

According to this law if it can be proven that an accused destroyed, withheld, or concealed the existence of official records being sought under subpoena by a committee of Congress, that accused can be convicted of obstruction of justice under 18 U.S. Code § 1505. The prohibited conduct includes destruction, concealment and withholding of documents, thereby impeding or obstructing the committee’s rightful pursuit of information. The all important  mens rea (proof of intent) is knowledge of the committee’s interest in obtaining the official records in the accused’s custody or control. Violation of 18 U.S. Code § 1505 is a felony with a maximum prison term of five years.

There's a lot more, but I think you get the picture. I merely want to point out how deep the investigations have already gone and what's been discovered, since the media would rather you didn't know.

So moving on, where is this likely to end up?

As I said before on these pages,the FBI and the Justice Department work for President Obama. That the Justice department under the president's carefully chosen racialist Attorney General Loretta Lynch would certainly  go along in simply ignoring all this. But the FBI is a different matter. Whatever their flaws, the FBI has a culture of being incorruptible, of having no tolerance for lawbreaking no matter who's involved.

James Comey, the current head of the Bureau has a long history of the same sort of ethics. He helped prosecute the Gambino crime family, was the lead prosecutor in the case concerning the 1996 Khobar Towers bombing in Saudi Arabia and served as assistant attorney general during the Bush administration. He even stood up to President Bush and was willing to resign after he was pressured as acting Attorney General (John Ashcroft had been hospitalized) to "certify" the legality of certain aspects of the NSA surveillance program at that time.

As bad as this scandal is getting, I'm fairly certain that Comey and the FBI will recommend prosecution to Obama's Attorney General. And I  doubt that letting Mrs Clinton slide on this blatant lawbreaking wouldn't be met by resignations from James Comey and a number of other FBI personnel. That would shine a spotlight on all this that would not benefit Mrs. Clinton's political ambitions at all.

While President Barack Hussein Obama has no love for the Clintons and would undoubtedly giggle uncontrollably at the idea of one or both Clintons doing the perp walk, he likewise has problems with the scenario of her being  prosecuted. Can you imagine what could happen if Mrs. Clinton were indicted and decided to trade immunity for everything she knows about Fast and Furious, Benghazi and numerous other scandals she has to have been privy to? Just imagine if she once heard the president bragging about how he was using the IRS as a political weapon! There may even be things the renowned Clinton opposition research uncovered about Barack Obama as long ago as 2008 that this president would rather the American public remains ignorant about. At this point, he's not facing re-election but has his legacy to consider, and Mrs. Clinton could do quite a bit to destroy that were she so inclined.

But if he has the Department of Justice ignore this, President Obama risks spotlighting this in a way that further tarnishes what is already the worst presidency in U.S. history in a way not even some of the True Believers will be able to stomach. And it also risks reminding the electorate at a crucial time who Hillary Clinton is, to the point that she gets beat like a gong come election time.

But if he allows her to be prosecuted, he's playing with dynamite that could explode in his face painfully as she deals for her freedom. Not only that, but he has to deal with Bernie Sanders as the nominee, who isn't under his control at this point and who would likely get slaughtered in the general election.

What to do?

So I'm going to make a prediction here. President Obama will not prosecute her, but will have a Mob-style sit down and  make a deal with the Clintons. If Mrs. Clinton ends her campaign and maintains omerta, he will issue her a full pardon for any wrongdoing she might have done "in recognition of her long record of dedicated public service." She'll keep her ill-gotten gains and stay out of jail provided she ends her campaign and keeps her mouth shut.

Once she ends her campaign, the Bernie Sanders problem will be dealt with by having Joe Biden declare his candidacy with the full backing of the White House, Hillary's endorsement and the support of the Democrat super-delegates.

Watch and see if that's not how things turn out.

It's Official - The FBI Drops Law Enforcement From Its Primary Mission

The Federal Bureau of Investigation has made a major change in what it considers it's primary mission:

 

The change was first noticed this year by Kel McClanahan, a Washington-based national security lawyer.
McClanahan noticed the change while reviewing a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request from the FBI and the FBI fact sheet accompanies every FOIA response.

This apparently reflects a noticeable change in agency policy in the last few years. Investigations of white collar crime, kidnapping and other federal offenses and an increase is counterterrorism and surveillance. In fact, according to a 2010 Inspector's General report, between 2001 and 2009, the FBI doubled the amount of agents concentrating on counterterrorism.

Needless to say, the emphasis on counterterrorism and national security reduces FBI manpower and resources available to fight crime.There's also the problem of multiple agencies like the NSA and DHS duplicating the FBI's efforts and getting in each others way...which was supposed to be what establishing the Department of Homeland Security was supposed to be about in the first place, wasn't it?

At least the FBI is finally being honest about it.

US Muslim Leaders Lobbying To Get The FBI Role In Combating Islamist Terrorism Reduced

 

A number of very well connected and politically active Muslims are pushing for a vastly reduced FBI role when it comes to investigating and preventing Islamist terrorism in America. The plan they're lobbying heavily for is to get the imams involved in doing it themselves through Obama's Department of Homeland Security.

The White House’s “Countering Violent Extremism” program “did not produce the results a lot of us were hopeful … [and] kind of collapsed towards the end of last year,” complained Mohamed Elibiary, a Texas-based advocate who was appointed to the Homeland Security Advisory Council.[...]

Elibiary’s new call for reduced policing of Islamic communities, such as Boston’s immigrant Muslims, was echoed by other speakers at the panel, which was hosted by the progressive New American Foundation in Washington D.C.

“Imams and counselors need to be given some leeway” by police, said Suhaib Webb, Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center.

The activists have a problem with the FBI, who they claim have continued what they referred to as atraditional policy of investigating jihadis for obsolete things like arrests, trials and convictions.

You know, we just can't have that.

They like the DHS CVE program much better. Funny thing, the DHS program has attracted a lot of criticism because it relies on using Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) as their exclusive intermediaries with American Muslims.

You might remember that the MPAC ran a major campaign telling Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI in terrorism investigations, just like CAIR and the other Muslim Brotherhood front groups:

 




And let's take a closer look at some of these 'activists'. I've already had something to say about the Islamic Society of Boston Mosque and cultural Center, an Islamist mosque with murkey funding and beginnings where Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon Bombers liked to go for his dose of Islamist rhetoric.Funny how 'imam involvement' didn't work so well there.

And then there's Mohamed Elibiary..I know I've heard his name somewhere...of course! Elibiary is a very influential  part of the Obama Administration, who was named to President Obama's Homeland Security Advisory Council in 2010.

While he's been there, he reportedly had a big role in successfully lobbying AG Eric Holder into not prosecuting the senior executives of CAIR, The Islamic Society of North America, the North American Islamic Trust and a number of other Muslim Brotherhood front groups who were caught red handed money laundering and providing material aid to terrorism in the Holy Land Foundation trial.Although I somehow doubt Elibiary had to work all that hard, given what we know about Eric Holder.

Among other things, Elibiary is a big fan of  Iran's Ayatollah Khomeni and his Islamist style villayat-e-fiqh style of theocratic government. When Dallas Morning News reporter Rod Dreher wrote about Elibiary's laudatory remarks on Khomeni and Islamist government at a December 2004 conference in Dallas, titled “A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary,” Elibiary threatened him with violence.

But wait, there's more.

 October 2011  Elibiary was given access to the highly  classified  DPS database (the Homeland Security State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest, or HS SLIC) containing hundreds of thousands of intelligence reports that were supposed to be used solely to aid law-enforcement agencies. In fact, Elibiary was the only Homeland Security Advisory Council member member (out of 26) who got access to the HS SLIC.

Elibiary used this  to put together a number of classified documents that he felt promoted “Islamophobia,” and tried to leak the classified files  to a far Left  media outlet, who refused to do the story because they felt the files failed to show any real  DHS bias against Muslims.

In early November 2011, Elibiary’s access to the HS SLIC database was revoked...but he's still on the DHS Advisory Council. Of course.

No wonder he and his Islamist friends want the FBI out of the picture so that  they'll be the main channel of information.
