Islamist DHS Adviser Fired Amid Allegations of Cover Up

Mohamed Elibiary, an avowed Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood enabler has 'resigned' from his position as senior member of DHS’ Homeland Security Advisory Council (HSAC).

Elibiary has been a fairly controversial figure at the DHS. Among other things, he was busted for tweeting about the “inevitable” return of the Muslim “caliphate” something that was used as propaganda by ISIS. This was part of a series of posts deemed inappropriate for a senior government adviser, including one where he said he considered the United States to be an "Islamic country" and another where he suggested that national security "uber hawks camp misread 9/11."

But the real kicker was his purported access of confidential DHS databases on several occasions and his attempt to leak them to a far Left site, something I've written about before. Once this became known, it sparked a number of congressional inquiries, many of them from Rep. Louis Gohmert (R-TX).

 

Exactly what Elibiary used his security clearance to access is unknown, simply because the DHS found it expedient not to delve too deeply, even with the existing evidence and testimony from the site Elibiary attempted to leak documents to. There were numerous instances of various officials providing murky and even contradictory answers about whether DHS ever fully investigated the allegations that Elibiary inappropriately accessed classified documents from the DHS database.

Judicial Watch finally asked for details via a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) suit, citing the exact documents that Elibiary allegedly leaked...only to be informed they suddenly don't exist!

“We conducted a comprehensive search of files within the DHS Enterprise Correspondence Tracking System (ECT) for records that would be responsive to your request. Unfortunately, we were unable to locate or identify any responsive records,” DHS informed Judicial Watch in a Sept. 16, 2013, letter.

DHS couldn't find “investigative records regarding the alleged mishandling and any records of communication between any official, employee, or representative of the Department of Homeland Security and any member of Congress, congressional staff member, congressional committee, and/or congressional committee staff member regarding the alleged mishandling.”

In other words, since the documents didn't exist, neither did any documentation regarding an investigation!

Rep. Gohmert felt that the Judicial Watch documents proved that the DHS simply swept this under the rug.. “There was no legitimate investigation. They didn’t say these documents are classified or secure, they said no such documents exist.”

And of course, neither does the investigation.

What happened here is that DHS likely tried to stonewall the investigation into illegally accessing the database in hopes it would blow over. But they got tired of continued digging and congressional inquiries, and Elibiary's radical social media posts made him a liability they couldn't afford anymore. So he's gone.

But you have to wonder how many other Islamist moles who are a lot more careful and discreet exist in our national security establishment.

 

Janet Napolitano To Resign As Head Of DHS

 

Yes, Big Sis is getting out of DC while the getting is good. With things like Fast and Furious, the NSA scandal, the AP scandal and numerous others brewing around the Obama Administration, she's decided it might be smarter to get out of Dodge for awhile.

And where's she headed? Where do all failed political figures from Democrat administrations go? If not to the media, than to academia.

Big Sis has been named to be the next president of the 10 campus University of California system, at three times the salary she now makes.

Why her? Oh, the L.A. Times article provides a few perhaps unintended hints:

UC officials believe that her Cabinet experiences –- which include helping to lead responses to hurricanes and tornadoes and overseeing some anti-terrorism measures -- will help UC administer its federal energy and nuclear weapons labs and aid its federally funded research in medicine and other areas. [...}

Robert Powell, the chairman of UC’s system-wide faculty Senate and who consulted on the UC search, said Napolitano stood out among the more than 300 potential candidates. She “has demonstrated an outstanding ability to deal with complex organizations under demanding circumstances,” he said.

Acknowledging that she will be a departure from UC’s traditions of having a president with strong records in campus administration or academic research, he stressed that her political skills will be important. “When she goes to Sacramento, clearly the conversations will be on a different plane,” he said.

Yes, it's about the Federal and State benjamins.

Interestingly enough, a Times poll at the link showed that 77% of the locals think she's a bad choice to head the UC system, as of 9 AM PST this morning.

While it will certainly be refreshing to be rid of her, rest assured that President Obama will pick someone even worse to fill her slot.

US Muslim Leaders Lobbying To Get The FBI Role In Combating Islamist Terrorism Reduced

 

A number of very well connected and politically active Muslims are pushing for a vastly reduced FBI role when it comes to investigating and preventing Islamist terrorism in America. The plan they're lobbying heavily for is to get the imams involved in doing it themselves through Obama's Department of Homeland Security.

The White House’s “Countering Violent Extremism” program “did not produce the results a lot of us were hopeful … [and] kind of collapsed towards the end of last year,” complained Mohamed Elibiary, a Texas-based advocate who was appointed to the Homeland Security Advisory Council.[...]

Elibiary’s new call for reduced policing of Islamic communities, such as Boston’s immigrant Muslims, was echoed by other speakers at the panel, which was hosted by the progressive New American Foundation in Washington D.C.

“Imams and counselors need to be given some leeway” by police, said Suhaib Webb, Imam of the Islamic Society of Boston Cultural Center.

The activists have a problem with the FBI, who they claim have continued what they referred to as atraditional policy of investigating jihadis for obsolete things like arrests, trials and convictions.

You know, we just can't have that.

They like the DHS CVE program much better. Funny thing, the DHS program has attracted a lot of criticism because it relies on using Muslim Brotherhood front groups like the Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) as their exclusive intermediaries with American Muslims.

You might remember that the MPAC ran a major campaign telling Muslims not to cooperate with the FBI in terrorism investigations, just like CAIR and the other Muslim Brotherhood front groups:

 




And let's take a closer look at some of these 'activists'. I've already had something to say about the Islamic Society of Boston Mosque and cultural Center, an Islamist mosque with murkey funding and beginnings where Tamerlan Tsarnaev, one of the Boston Marathon Bombers liked to go for his dose of Islamist rhetoric.Funny how 'imam involvement' didn't work so well there.

And then there's Mohamed Elibiary..I know I've heard his name somewhere...of course! Elibiary is a very influential  part of the Obama Administration, who was named to President Obama's Homeland Security Advisory Council in 2010.

While he's been there, he reportedly had a big role in successfully lobbying AG Eric Holder into not prosecuting the senior executives of CAIR, The Islamic Society of North America, the North American Islamic Trust and a number of other Muslim Brotherhood front groups who were caught red handed money laundering and providing material aid to terrorism in the Holy Land Foundation trial.Although I somehow doubt Elibiary had to work all that hard, given what we know about Eric Holder.

Among other things, Elibiary is a big fan of  Iran's Ayatollah Khomeni and his Islamist style villayat-e-fiqh style of theocratic government. When Dallas Morning News reporter Rod Dreher wrote about Elibiary's laudatory remarks on Khomeni and Islamist government at a December 2004 conference in Dallas, titled “A Tribute to the Great Islamic Visionary,” Elibiary threatened him with violence.

But wait, there's more.

 October 2011  Elibiary was given access to the highly  classified  DPS database (the Homeland Security State and Local Intelligence Community of Interest, or HS SLIC) containing hundreds of thousands of intelligence reports that were supposed to be used solely to aid law-enforcement agencies. In fact, Elibiary was the only Homeland Security Advisory Council member member (out of 26) who got access to the HS SLIC.

Elibiary used this  to put together a number of classified documents that he felt promoted “Islamophobia,” and tried to leak the classified files  to a far Left  media outlet, who refused to do the story because they felt the files failed to show any real  DHS bias against Muslims.

In early November 2011, Elibiary’s access to the HS SLIC database was revoked...but he's still on the DHS Advisory Council. Of course.

No wonder he and his Islamist friends want the FBI out of the picture so that  they'll be the main channel of information.

DHS Is Training Law Enforcement To Give Muslim Brotherhood, Radical Islamists A Pass

 

This is dhimmitude on steroids.

In an official training manuals given to national and local law enforcement, the Department of Homeland Security is still emphasizing 'Right Wing extremists' but gives the Muslim Brotherhood and Islamists a pass, advising law enforcement to defer to them.

In contrast to that famous 2009 report talking about the dangers of veterans, pro-life advocates, critics of same-sex marriage, 2nd Amendment advocates and Evangelicals, the training manuals on Islamists cautions law enforcement, “Don’t use training that equates radical thought, religious expression, freedom to protest, or other constitutionally-protected activity, including disliking the U.S. government without being violent” when it comes to Islamists.

The manual, which was produced by an inter-agency working group from DHS and the National Counterterrorism Center, advises, “Trainers who equate the desire for Sharia law with criminal activity violate basic tenets of the First Amendment.”

This would be a hoot if the DHS wasn't deadly serious - Sharia law violates the First Amendment and most of the rest of the Bill of Rights explicitly!

DHS CRCL CVE Training - Dos and Donts

The checklist also advised against using Muslim “trainers who are self-professed ‘Muslim reformers’” - i.e, non-jihadi moderates - because they “may further an interest group agenda instead of delivering generally accepted, unbiased information.”

I don't know which is worse...what the DHS is saying about itself or what it's saying about Muslims, that they're naturally radical and only generally accept the Islamist and Muslim Brotherhood point of view.

The manual also tells law enforcement not to rely on “unsubstantiated theories” and “conspiracies,” that say that “many mainstream Muslim organizations have terrorist ties” or are “fronts for Islamic political organizations whose true desire is to establish Sharia law in America.”

And this manual advises advises trainees not to assume Muslim groups are “using democratic processes, like litigation and free speech, to subvert democracy and install Sharia law.”

Never mind that our own Justice Department proved just that in Federal Court in the Holy Land Foundation trail, and that U.S. District Court Judge Jorge Solis said as much in his 2010 ruling, writing, “The government has produced ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR [Council on American-Islamic Relations], ISNA [Islamic Society of North America], NAIT [North American Islamic Trust], with the Islamic Association for Palestine, and with Hamas.”

As a matter of fact, most of the senior executives of these Muslim Brotherhood fronts would be sitting in jail for money laundering and material aid to terrorism if Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama Justice Department hadn't filed declinations to prosecute motions on all of the individuals and groups cited as unindicted co-conspirators. That ended what would have been the second Holy Land Foundation trial, an open and shut case because the groups appealed the first one, leading to Judge Solis' ruling. Obama's Justice Department essentially let CAIR, ISNA, and NAIT off the hook, as well as the executives involved.

Instead, we now have people in influential positions in the Obama Administration with strong Muslim Brotherhood ties and an official 'training manual' for law enforcement that could have been put out by the Brotherhood itself.Aside from the chilling effect this will have on law enforcement actually working to prevent jihad in America, it will also have the effect and stigmatizing American Muslims whom choose not to toe the Islamist line.

In later years - perhaps, unfortunately after we have a few more incidents that end up with more dead Americans - it will come out that the Obama Administration was just as thoroughly penetrated by the Ikhwan, the Muslim Brotherhood as the Truman Administration was penetrated by Soviet spies and sympathizers.

And it will have cost us dearly in the meantime.

The 'Lone Wolves' Theory On Bombing Explodes As Boston Police Arrest More Suspects

 

Yet another piece of the careful meme the Obama Administration put out about the Boston Bombing is apparently crumbling.

Boston police have arrested 3 more suspectsand charged them with aiding and abetting the Tsarnaevs and obstructing justice 'after the fact' :

Three college friends of Boston Marathon bombing suspect Dzhokhar Tsarnaev were arrested and accused Wednesday of removing a backpack containing fireworks emptied of gunpowder from Tsarnaev’s dorm room three days after the attack to try to keep him from getting into trouble.

Azamat Tazhayakov and Dias Kadyrbayev were charged with conspiring to obstruct justice. A third man, Robel Phillipos, was charged with lying to investigators about the visit to Tsarnaev’s room.

In court papers, the FBI said Tazhayakov and Kadyrbayev agreed to throw the backpack in the garbage — it was later found in a landfill by law enforcement officers — after concluding from news reports that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was one of the bombers.

They also apparently knew that Dzhokhar Tsarnaev had bomb making skills.

Actually 're-arrest' is the correct term. This trio hail from Kazakhstan, like the Tsarnaevs are also Muslims allowed into the U.S. on student visas and were originally picked up as associates of the Tsarnaevs. One of them drove the car with the license plate 'Terrorista #1' and all three violated their visas by not bothering to attend classes...I wonder why.

But wait, there's more.

The intelligence sent to the U.S also apparently referenced three Pakistanis, and pressure cooker bombs are a signature explosive device of the Pakistani Taliban. Not only are they common, but they're easily detonated remotely from, a cell phone.

It's not at all far fetched that Tamerlan Tsarnaev received training in manufacturing this kind of IED during the six months he was overseas before he returned to the U.S. to take advantage with the rest of his family of America's welfare system, attend a radical mosque and plan his jihad attack.

That's becoming apparent to a lot of people interested in finding out that happened rather than merely covering for some pretty obvious intel failures.

One of them is Rep. Michael McCaul, R-Texas and Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. who said on Fox News Sunday, “I think given the level of sophistication of this device, the fact that the pressure cooker is a signature device that goes back to Pakistan, Afghanistan, leads me to believe — and the way they handled these devices and the tradecraft — … that there was a trainer and the question is where is that trainer or trainers.”

And we haven't even fully investigated the possible connection to the Tsarnaevs of Saudi nationals with major ties to al-Qaeda.

That was important enough for DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano to lie about to Congress.


Rep. McCaul is going to be holding hearings on the Boston Bombings, and no doubt some more useful information is going to be uncovered.

Secretary Napolitano Caught Lying To Congress about Saudi Implicated In Boston Bombing

 

The coverup continues on the Saudi 'person of interest' implicated in the Boston Marathon bombings,Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi, a Saudi national with major connections to al-Qaeda.

Today, during a hearing on immigration policy, Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee and caught some questions from Senator Chuck Grassley of Iowa, asking about the fact that Alharbi was on the terrorist watch list.

“Before the [Tsarnaev] brothers became the focus of the investigation, authorities questioned a Saudi student who reportedly was on a terror watchlist,” said Grassley, “…if so, how did he obtain a student visa?”

Her answer is absolutely astounding:

“He was not on a watchlist. What happened is — this student was, really when you back it out, he was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He was never a subject. He was never even really a person of interest. Because he was being interviewed, he was at that point put on a watchlist, and then when it was quickly determined he had nothing to do with the bombing, the watch listing status was removed.”

Aside from contradicting herself in the above paragraph - was he on a watch list or was he not? -  the Secretary is also not being entirely truthful about Alharbi's status

Alharbi's visa stated that he was a student at a college in Ohio he never attended, while in fact he was living in an apartment in Revere, a suburb of Boston. And there's evidence that someone attempted to delete the report on him, (known as an incident report ).

The Arrest Of The Second Boston Bomber, And What It Tells Us.

The second Boston Bomber, Dzhokar Tsarnaev was taken into custody Saturday night, and the circumstances of his arrest and what subsequent investigations have revealed opens up an entirely new can of worms.

A badly wounded Dzhokar was found hiding in a boat in the backyard of a man who called 911 after he became suspicious of what was going on in his backyard.

 


David Henneberry had gone into his garden for a cigarette after police lifted restrictions on people leaving their homes, believing the bomber had left the area. He noticed that the cover over his boat had blood on it and a strap had been cut. He went back into the house to get a stepladder and looked inside.

His stepson Robert said: “He stuck his head under the tarp and noticed a pool of blood and something crumpled up in a ball. Instead of being a hero of the moment and yelling at what we now know was the suspect, he did the right thing and called 911.”

In spite of the fact that the SWAT teams had Dzhokar cornered and knew he was badly wounded, neighbors said they heard more than 30 shots after police swarmed the scene, and several explosions that were probably police concussion grenades.

The boat was riddled with shots to the point that the fact Dzhokar was taken alive is amazing. It's interesting to speculate whether pulling a corpse out of that boat was the intent.Dead men, after all, tell no tales.

Dzhokar Tsarnaev (murderous irony) is now handcuffed to a bed in Boston's Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, where 11 victims of the bombing are still being treated. He's too badly wounded to be interrogated at present according to the authorities.

Even more interesting is how his arrest is being treated. Dzhoaker Tsarnaev is a fully naturalized American citizen,presumably with all the rights guaranteed under the Constitution, Yet the Obama Administration's Justice Department has said that Tsarnaev is not going to be given his Miranda Rights and that when and if he's able to be interrogated, they're going to invoke a recently legislated 'public safety exception' that will permit him to be interrogated without being Mirandized and having an attorney present, and will allow anything he says to be used against him in court. In other words, it's essentially a flushing of his Fifth Amendment rights.

Among other things, this points out the ridiculous nature of the Warren Court's stretching the Fifth Amendment out of shape with the Miranda decision, but wait, there's more.

The 'public safety exception' is designed to be invoked when the feds have what's referred to as a reasonable need to protect themselves or the public from 'a clear and present danger'.

Well and good, but Boston Police Commissioner Ed Davis among others has said clearly that while the authorities are not certain there aren't more caches of arms and explosives to be found, the people of Boston are safe and the lockdown of the city and surrounding areas has already been removed. Not only that, but other members of a major terrorism cell of whom the Tsarnaev's were a part have been rounded up, on which I'll have more to say in a minute.

My point here is that Tsarnaev's rights are being waived, and according to Boston's own police commissioner the 'clear and present danger' description doesn't apply.

However with Tsarnaev being questioned under this exception, any knowledge of what he says or doesn't say is filtered by what the feds say he said, and unverified by an independent source like an attorney.

Not only that, but if he's reclassified as an enemy combatant, which is already being discussed by the Justice Department, we're not going to see a public trial. And under the provisions of the 2012 NDAA Act (specifically, Section 1021) for the "indefinite detention of American citizens without due process at the discretion of the President", Tsarnaev,if he survives, can simply be held without trial for the rest of his life.And so can anyone else President Obama decides it would be a good idea to imprison for whatever reason.

Under section 1021, the president could legally imprison his caddy without trial for handing him the wrong golf club.

What this means in real terms is that a coverup of what happened in Boston, why it happened and whom was responsible is dead simple.

And as we find as we look a little more closely, there's a fair amount the Obama Administration and its security appointees might very much want covered up.

First, there's the little matter of how we treated Russian intelligence when it came to the older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev when he traveled to Russia and parts unknown for six months. The Russians made a formal request for information on Tamerlan. because they knew he was a follower of radical Islam, were worried he was in contact with radical groups and were concerned about him traveling to Russia. Tsarnaev visited Dagestan and Chechnya, and may very well have gone elsewhere. It isn't a problem for a totalitarian government to put someone on a list and give orders not to stamp his passport.The Iranians, for instance, did it for a number of escaping al-Qaeda fighters en route from Afghanistan after we invaded, just as they did for the 9/11 hijackers.

Not only did the FBI sluff off the Russian request with a few inconsequential details, they never followed up by investigating the brothers after Tamerlan returned to the states.

There was virtually no checking of Tamerlan's associations when it came to his younger brother Dzhoaker application for a green card and later for citizenship, let alone Tamerlan himself who was a legal permanent resident.

Nor were either of the brothers placed under surveillance. There was no attempt to monitor them even after the Russian warning, and no one bothered to monitor the jihadi material Tamerlan was promoting via social media.

There's also a great deal of chatter about the Tsarnaev's being part of an organized jihad cell. What we know for a fact at this point is that is that several other people with ties to jihadi groups in the Boston area been arrested.

We also know that jihadist groups in the Caucasus have received funding from Saudis.

And we know that despite what DHS chief Janet Napolitano said, Abdul Rahman Ali Alharbi,a Saudi national with major family and clan ties to al-Qaeda has a file created under the name “Abdul Rahman Ali Al Harby” at 4 p.m. on Tuesday by an official with the National Targeting Center, a counterterrorism sub-agency that's part of the Department of Homeland Security.

It specifically states that Alharbi is  “linked to the Boston bombing” and was to be processed for revocation of his visa based on national security grounds.

As you'll remember, Alharbi somehow went from suspect, to 'person of interest' to 'cleared' after Saudi Foreign Minister had private chats with Secretary of State John Kerry and President Obama. And lo and behold, according to the Saudi paper Okaz  Alharbi had a  personal  visit in the hospital from none other than First Lady Michelle Obama.

In fairness, Mrs. Obama visited other victims of the bombing, but in view of the personal, hands on intervention of the Saudi Foreign minister and Alharbi's background,let's just say it seems questionable to me.

You'll remember that President Obama ended post-9/11 restrictions on Saudis entering the US three months ago and gave them special, preferred status.

 If Saudis were involved, that would constitute a nasty problem for both the president and the Saudis.

Aside from reflecting badly on President Obama's unilateral decision to  change U.S. law to let Saudis in without restrictions or background checks, there's a multi-billion dollar arms deal with the House of Saud in the works, not to mention this president's fondness for Islam and Islamists, all  that oil, and continued Saudi access to America.

So cooperating in cleaning things up and indulging in coverup ala' Benghazi, Fast and Furious and numerous other incidents would not only be win for the Obama Administration but  a natural win-win for both sides.

That could very well explain why the Swat teams made a pretty fair try at seeing to it that  Dzhokar Tsarnaev wasn't taken alive, and when it turned out he survived, why the Obama Administration is setting it up so that he can be imprisoned indefinitely and kept hidden away where anything he says can be safely filtered.

ATF Creating 'Massive' Database of Personal Info: 'Assets, Relatives, Associates and More'

The same Federal Bureau that did such a sterling job providing Mexican drug cartels with illegally purchased firearms and shipping them across the border in the 'Fast and Furious' operation has a brand new project.

According to a notice posted by the agency on FedBizOpps.gov, entitled "Investigative System" they're seeking corporate contractors to help create what they describe as a 'massive' new data base system on private citizens they deem worthy of surveillance.

The new system is to be used by ATF staff "to provide rapid searches on various entities for example; names, telephone numbers, utility data and reverse phone look-ups, as a means to assist with investigations, and background research on people, assets and businesses."



The proposed system will utilize "a number of internal databases as well as external sources to provide timely and relevant information and intelligence products to law enforcement agencies at the federal, state and local levels."

The system "provides a means to rapidly check records across the country" and is "necessary in assisting investigators, agents and analyst to find people, their assets, relatives, associates and more."

And it will allow ATF to "obtain exact matches from partial source data searches such as, incomplete social security numbers, address, VIN numbers, etc."

Keep in mind that the data entered into this database isn't necessarily on criminals, or even people suspected of a crime. And there are no court orders or warrants involved.

The database can cover a ton of private information for anyone the ATF - or the Obama Justice Department, who controls ATF - feels like putting into the system, for reasons they needn't disclose to anyone.

One of the applications is obvious, and the ATF being used as the Federal Agency involved is a clue. Universal background checks aren't legal under federal law yet, and neither is gun confiscation. The new system is an extra-legal tool that could facilitate both when the time is right, perhaps in response to a White House declared 'national emergency' that involves new, sweeping powers to the occupant of the Oval Office.

Sort of like what Hitler did with the Reichstag Fire.

The Obama DHS Stocks Up on 2,700 Mine Resistant Armored Vehicles

This is fairly interesting, especially in context with the $2 million in new 'no hesitation' targets the Department of Homeland Security purchased for their agents to practice shooting at and the huge 1.6 billion rounds of ammo the DHS has stockpiled.



We have never had domestic law enforcement beefed up like this before, with what amounts to APCs, almost light tanks. Sure seems like they're preparing for something, doesn't it?

I wonder if a 'reichstag fire' incident that would necessitate 'emergency powers' and martial law is coming our way?

DHS Buys 'No Hesitation' Shooting Targets Depicting women, Children And The Elderly

The Department of Homeland Security has spent over $2 million dollars buying some very interesting targets for their agents to practice their shooting skills on. They come from a company called Law Enforcement Targets inc and were apparently made to DHS order to deliberately desensitize their agents when it comes to firing in situations that they might otherwise hesitate on, thus the name 'no hesitation'. In the company's words, thee targets are “meant to help the transition for officers who are faced with these highly unusual targets for the first time.”

The company has since dropped the images of the targets DHS purchased with your tax dollars from their website, but they're pictured above in a screenshot.

Let's see, we have here a pregnant woman in a nursery, a kid, a young woman, and a mother in a playground next to her kid, and grandma and there are also two pictures of aged males not shown here...all of them white, by the way, and somehow I doubt that was a coincidence.

Now, in speaking to most law enforcement officers of my acquaintance, while experience has taught to expect the unexpected and to be prepared for it, common sense has also taught them not to just splatter Granny, Grandpa or Mom all over the room unless there's no alternative...especially if there's a child whom might possibly be in the line of fire.

That is apparently what they're trying to train out of them with these 'no hesitation' targets.

And again, notice the average American look to these targets.That's apparently what's now considered a threat.

At least that's what DHS and apparently a number of law enforcement agencies believe, since that's how they're training their agents.

Maybe this is the new 'war on terror' ...and perhaps a good excuse for gun confiscation. Somehow, I wouldn't be at all surprised.Dictators love a disarmed populace.

DHS Head Napolitano: 'Expect More Members Of Islamist Terrorist Groups To Get U.S. Visas'

As compared with trying to stop Chick-fil-A from doing business by labeling them anti-gay, this isn't getting hardly any attention from the press at all. It deserves to.

Janet Napolitano, the head of the Department of Homeland Security(DHS) had to answer a few questions in front of the House Homeland Security Committee chaired by Rep. Peter King.

She was asked about a little item I mentioned before, the issuing of a state department visa to a member of an organization officially designated as a terrorist group, one Hani Nour Eldin.

Of course, if you remember, I was able to reveal that Eldin was the the chosen ambassador of the Egyptian Islamists to the White House, sent to ask for their assistance in getting the junta to turn over power to them.

But afterwards, there remained these nagging questions asked Rep. King and members of his committee. What was the State Department doing giving Eldin a visa? Why wasn't this run by Congress for its approval first, as U.S. law demands?

Napolitano's response? Expect more of the same, and like it.

“I think you are right in pointing out that as we move forward we are going to continue to have visitors to this country that the State Department and others feel are useful to bring to the country to have discussions moving forward who say they are members of the political party that in the past have been so designated,” Napolitano told House Homeland Security Committee chairman Pete King, R-N.Y. during a committee hearing this morning.

“I think we have to add more nuance to that,” she said when King mentioned that Eldin is part of a designated foreign terrorist organization. “We have to know what the group was. Is it now a political party that is running the government of a country that has strong ties to the United States?” She added that he went through three stages of vetting and “everyone who looked at this person felt confident that he was not a security risk to the White House or to the United States.”

Of course, the obvious questions at that point were 'what stages of vetting were done? what did it consist of? What were the criteria? Who exactly signed off on the different stages of this vetting?

King accused the Obama Administration and the State Department of not complying with either the letter or the spirit of the law, Napolitano's response was revealing about the kind of arrogance the Obama Administration regards U.S. law with when it gets in the way of what they want.

She simply nodded and said, "on the process, that’s a fair point to make."

And as far as her addressing King's legitimate question about why Congress was left out of the loop?

No answer.

The Obama Administration simply wanted Eldin in so they could receive his message from he Muslim Brotherhood, so they let him in and brought him to the White House.

Congress, U.S. Law and normal prudence be damned.

Hissy Fit! After SCOTUS Ruling, Obama DHS Will No Longer Assist Arizona On Immigration-Status Checks

Supreme Court? Rule of law? Whatever do you mean?

In what can only be described as full tantrum mode, the Department of Homeland Security has unilaterally announced that it will no longer cooperate with the Arizona law enforcement in checks on immigration status:

The Obama administration said Monday it is suspending existing agreements with Arizona police over enforcement of federal immigration laws, and said it has issued a directive telling federal authorities to decline many of the calls reporting illegal immigrants that the Homeland Security Department may get from Arizona police.

In other words, when Arizona law enforcement officials attempt to enforce the part of the law that coincides U.S immigration law that the Supreme Court upheld today, the agents at ICE will either refuse to answer the calls or tell the Arixzona authorities to release them..regardless of whether they're illegal aliens or not:

On Monday the administration officials said they had concluded the seven agreements they had signed with various departments in Arizona weren’t working and took the Supreme Court’s ruling as a chance to scrap them.

I have a feeling this is grounds for a counter suit. If anything else, it proves, unfortunately that Scalia may have been right in his dissent today.

The 10th Amendment says explicitly that all powers not reserved by the Federal Government belong to the individual states. If the Federal government deliberately refuses to exercise powers it supposedly reserved and ignores federal law to boot, sovereign states ought to have these rights restored to them.

Simple as that old saying, 'what you don't use, you lose.'

Obama's New Election Strategy: Amnesty By Executive Order

President Obama has a brand new election strategy.

Today, he announced that by executive order, he and the Department of Homeland Security were no longer going to deport illegal aliens under 30 years of age.

Many people are calling this implementation by Executive Order of the DREAM Act, which failed to get through Congress three times.

They're mistaken..it's actually an extension of the DREAM Act, which Obama already implemented by Executive order almost a year ago, as regular members of Joshua's Army know.

This doesn't just apply to illegal aliens brought to America by their parents and meet certain criteria, but to all illegal aliens under thirty. The president and DHS Head Janet Napolitano can try and spin this as a reallocation of resources and 'prosecutorial discretion', but it is blanket amnesty in defiance of U.S. Laws.

The Justice Department has been implementing what an interdepartmental memo called "a non-legislative version of amnesty" for months by flouting the law and simply refusing to prosecute hundreds of deportation cases in the courts, this just makes it official.

The president is also outright lying when he says this will make sense economically. At a time of high unemployment, it will simply price American citizens out of the job market in favor of illegal aliens willing to work for less pay and at worse conditions. As such, it disproportionally affects Hispanics here legally and black Americans. Black Americans, as a matter of fact, have seen their employment in the construction and building trades drop dramatically - especially if they're union.

This measure is also calculated to increase illegal immigration, as the news spreads that if you jump the border and are under thirty, your chances of being caught and deported are nil:

The administration’s election-year amnesty move may grow far larger than advertised, because it can be used by foreign children who are now in the country when they reach the age of 15. Younger illegal immigrants “will be able to age into the process,” said an administration official June 15.

It may also be exploited by other immigrants who will use the existing black-market in false documents to fake suitable work histories and ages.

The new policy may also spur additional illegal immigration by people wishing to see their children immigrate into United States’ relatively high-wage economy.

The process puts illegals under age 30 on track to gain legal residency, citizenship and the ability to co-sponsor their older relatives to legally join them in the United States.

The president's cynical ploy also ignores the fact that in a post 9/11 world this is a national security issue as well as an 'immigration issue'. Several of the Muslim Muslims who plotted an armed attack on U.S. troops based at Fort Dix, New Jersey were illegal aliens, and a number of experts have testified before Congress about active Hezbollah cells in America. It's not just Hispanics that cross our borders illegally.

It's also worth mentioning that this is perceived by this president as a win-win. Not only is he counting on more votes from Hispanic citizens, but from increased 'turnout' among illegal aliens. He's counting on these votes to make the difference in crucial swing states with large Hispanic populations, especially in Blue strongholds where no one is going to be looking too closely and voter fraud, especially utilizing absentee ballots is going to be a factor.

Much is being made by the Left about the fact that a reporter interrupted the president's announcement of his high handed disregard for U.S. Law and the authority of congress with a vain attempt to ask the president a couple of actual questions and get him on record. His question ( you can't hear it on the video) that was so insulting? “Mr President, why do you favor foreign workers over Americans?”

If his fellow reporters had any regard for our laws or our republic, all of them should have been screaming bloody murder.

A video that would be funny if it wasn't so tragic. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano gets caught with her pants down by Representative Louie Gohmert (R-Tx) for hiring and giving a top security clearance to a Muslim Brotherhood terrorist.
