SecDef Hagel And JCS Gen. Dempsey Implementing Plans To Put Women In The Front Lines

Secretary of Defense Chuck Hagel and Head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Martin Dempsey are in the process of implementing plans that will put women service members on the front lines in combat.

Under details of the plans obtained by The Associated Press, women could start training as Army Rangers by mid-2015 and as Navy SEALs a year later.

The military services have mapped out a schedule that also will include reviewing and possibly changing the physical and mental standards that men and women will have to meet in order to quality for certain infantry, armor, commando and other front-line positions across the Army, Navy, Air Force and Marines.

Defense Secretary Chuck Hagel reviewed the plans and has ordered the services to move ahead.

The move follows revelations of a startling number of sexual assaults in the armed forces. Earlier this year, Joint Chiefs of Staff Chairman Gen. Martin Dempsey said the sexual assaults might be linked to the longstanding ban on women serving in combat because the disparity between the roles of men and women creates separate classes of personnel - male "warriors" versus the rest of the force.{...}

The military services are also working to determine the cost of opening certain jobs to women, particularly aboard a variety of Navy ships, including certain submarines, frigates, mine warfare and other smaller warships. Dozens of ships do not have adequate berthing or facilities for women to meet privacy needs, and would require design and construction changes.

The Obama Administration is already tossing thousands of battle hardened and experienced warriors out of the service to 'cut costs'. Apparently a number of them are going to be replaced with women without experience on the front lines of combat in the name of political correctness.

As for Dempsey's comments on sexual assaults in the military, how ridiculous they are can be determined by the stats on homosexual rape in the military, which is a significant part of the increase.

 

More military men than women are sexually abused in the ranks each year, a Pentagon survey shows, highlighting the underreporting of male-on-male assaults.

When the Defense Department released the results of its anonymous sexual abuse survey this month and concluded that 26,000 service members were victims in fiscal 2012, which ended Sept. 30, an automatic assumption was that most were women. But roughly 14,000 of the victims were male and 12,000 female, according to a scientific survey sample produced by the Pentagon.

“It appears that the DOD has serious problems with male-on-male sexual assaults that men are not reporting and the Pentagon doesn’t want to talk about,” Elaine Donnelly, who heads the Center for Military Readiness, said. She noted that only 2 percent of assailants are women.

Now that gays can openly serve in the military, I wouldn't be surprised to see those stats increase, no matter how the Pentagon tries to hide it.

They will undoubtedly increase for women as well as the New Politically Correct Military rushes to put women on the front lines of combat. Aside from the additional risks women will face if they're taken prisoner, (particularly by adherents of Islam...'what thy right hand possesses'), the very nature of combat conditions themselves and the close quarters they involve will lead to increased sexual assaults, pregnancies on the front lines and decreased unit cohesion as various troops couple, decouple and rearrange.

Not only that, but it will lead to increased casualties because of the lowering of standards and because most men are genetically programmed to take risks to rescue women in peril...especially if there's a sexual or romantic connection between them.

Israel And China Sign Major Strategic Agreement

I've mentioned before that as the Obama Administration has distanced itself from Israel, the Jewish State has been seeking new friends elsewhere.

Once country Israel has had increasingly cordial relations with is China. Business ties are extensive, culturally there is a good deal of affinity and China is a country without historic anti-semitism.

The two countries just signed an historic cooperation agreement that amounts to strategic insurance for Israel. It involves a joint venture to build a number of multi-billion dollar projects, including a major rail line from the Israeli Mediterranean ports of Ashkelon and Haifa to the Israeli Red Sea port of Eilat, along with an inland canal port north of Eilat.

The project will allow commercial shipping to detour around the Suez canal from the Mediterranean Sea to major sea lanes in the Indian Ocean and to ports of call in eastern Africa and southern Asia..including China:

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared the Eilat railway a national priority project, because of its strategic and policy importance. Israeli sources told "Globes" that the Chinese also consider the project to be important, as it fits in with China's global strategy to strengthen critical trade routes. The 180-kilometer line will run through the Arava Valley and Nahal Zinn. Netanyahu wants to cut travel time between Tel Aviv and Eilat to two hours.

It will be a major trade boost as cargoes from Asia will be able to dock in Eilat's state of the art port facilities and ship container cargo via the rail link directly to the Mediterranean and Europe and vice versa, eliminating time and expense and the uncertainties of dealing with a Muslim Brotherhood owned Suez Canal. And the railway will be a huge engine for increased development of Israel's Negev.

For the Israelis, aside from the obvious economic benefits, the strategic value is incalculable. The Suez Canal is taken out of the equation if Egypt decides to ignore international law again and stop Israeli ships from using the international waterway. It also might give the Egyptians pause if they decide to renege on the 1979 peace treaty between Israel and Egypt that declared that the Straits of Tiran, the vital waterway between the Gulf of Aqaba and the Red Sea were international waters open to international shipping. Nasser's blockading of the Straits was one of the direct causes of the Six Day War.

The Chinese have proposed financing part of the cost through the government-owned China Development Industrial Bank, while Israel will handle the project's operations. Chinese companies are expected to receive much of the construction contracts involved.

The Chinese, of course, also have their eye on the major finds of oil and natural gas recently discovered in Israel. As I also predicted previously, Israel's becoming an energy exporter is going to change the geopolitical facts on the ground for Israel fairly rapidly.

Israeli Minister of Transport Yisrael Katz and China's Minister of Transport Li Shenglin signed the memorandum of understanding in Beijing, followed by a banquet in the Israeli delegation's honor. The Chinese took special care to ensure that the food at the banquet was kosher.

That's a marked contrast to the way President Obama treated Israeli PM Netanyahu in Washington.

The Modern UK - Kidnapping Children for Their Parents 'Thought Crimes'

Question Britain's multiculturalism and the quasi-fascist beliefs of the ruling elite, and you risk having your child snatched away from you by the State to be more suitably indoctrinated.

As Paul Weston reveals in a great piece over at Gates of Vienna, that the reality in the UK today.And no, this is no mere hyperbole:

Multicultural Britain is becoming an ever more sinister country in which to live. I am pretty much immune to the totalitarian ideology of multiculturalism, but having said that, even I must confess to being shocked that the British state can now kidnap babies and children simply because their parents question the dictatorial and wholly unnatural orthodoxy of the ruling elites.

According to a recent article in The Daily Express, social workers want to seize a baby as soon as it is born because they are concerned about the mother’s links to the English Defence League.

Durham County Council has told Toni McLeod she poses a “risk of significant harm” to her baby because social workers fear the child would become radicalised with EDL views.

To be fair, Ms McLeod is clearly not a graduate of the Cheltenham Ladies College. She has a bit of previous, as it is known in the argot of the criminal fraternity. Assaulting a police officer, setting her dog on an ex-boyfriend and alleged problems with drink and drugs are variously quoted in the article.

All in all, not the best qualifications for motherhood, but these are not the reasons behind the state sanctioned child-snatching. Ms McLeod has been presumed guilty of a far more serious crime than simply living her life as a result of liberalism’s catastrophic progressive policies.

Ms McLeod you see, is deemed a racist — and quite possibly a fascist to boot — both of which are ranked nowadays as the ultimate evil by the promoters of multiculturalism, who are trying desperately to hold together Britain’s rapidly fragmenting and fantastical multicultural Utopia.

The social worker’s report states: “Toni (Ms McLeod) clearly needs to break away from the inappropriate friendships she has through either the EDL or break-off groups in order that she can model and display appropriate positive relationships to the baby as he/she grows and develops.”

Snatching children from parents who hold “inappropriate” political views is nothing new, although it normally requires a fully totalitarian state such as Nazi Germany or Communist Russia in order to be effected. I hope I am not alone in recognising how deeply sinister and frightening multicultural Britain has become when it seeks to emulate the ideology of such dictatorships.

To add to the irony, the child's father is a serving soldier in Afghanistan, who will be rewarded for doing his bit to fight jihad by having his child kidnapped by the state so the baby can be indoctrinated that there is no such thing. Or as Mr. Weston aptly puts it, dad is going to receive a campaign medal for fighting Islamism abroad while mom is going to have her child snatched by the state for fighting Islamism at home!

All is not totally lost however. From the Express article:

However, her cause has been taken up by Lib Dem MP John Hemming who, despite his loathing for the EDL, raised it in the Commons. He contrasts her treatment with that of the extremist Islamic cleric Abu Qatada, who was allowed to remain with his ­children when he was briefly remanded on bail earlier this year as the Government tries to deport him.

He said: “It raises a curious question as to why Abu Qatada is allowed to radicalise his children but the state won’t take the chance of allowing Toni McLeod to look after her baby in case she says something social workers won’t like.

“I am very strongly opposed to the EDL, which I believe to be a racist organisation, but I do not think we should remove all of the children of the people who go on their demonstrations, however misguided they may be.” {...}

Mr Hemming, who chairs the Justice For Families campaign group, said yesterday: “This case is one where the ‘thought police’ have decided to remove her baby at birth because of what she might say to the baby. I wonder what the baby’s father is thinking when he fights for a country which won’t allow him to have a child because of what the child’s mother might say.

“Toni now accepts she was wrong to have gone on EDL demonstrations but freedom of speech means nothing if people are not allowed to say things that are thought to be wrong.”

Mrs McLeod wants to move to ­Ireland for the birth to avoid England’s social services. Rifleman McLeod, 31, plans to request a transfer to Northern Ireland so he can be with his child.

Of course social Services would never dream of removing the children of a jihadi from their racist and violent parents. That wouldn't be politically correct!

When ordinary people who retain at least a sense of what it means to live in a free country feel they no longer have a political voice, they turn to other means to redress their grievances. Hopefully the tide can be turned before that happens.

The Coming Trend...Robot Prostitutes??

Pictured above is 'Roxxxy', a featured item at a major U.S. adult entertainment expo. She..er..it is part of a coming trend, according to the journal “Futures” that sees sex robots as not only possible, but as a replacement for real-life prostitutes.

'Roxxxy' would retail for between $7,000 and $9,000 and have programmable options for different personalities, like “Wild Wendy,” “Frigid Farrah” and “S&M Susan,” depending on what floats your boat.

 

“Sex robots are absolutely inevitable… in fact they already exist,” Michelle Mars and Ian Yeoman point out. They write that future sex robots would be lifelike and could perform a variety of sexual activities. In the case of robot prostitutes, they also could be manufactured to be easily cleaned to prevent disease and be equipped with “bacteria-resistant” fiber.

 

Aside from being disease free, Mars and Yeoman also say that robot prostitutes could be preferable to human prostitutes because they would “ reduce the human trafficking.”

“Human prostitution will still be around. It’s the oldest profession and won’t be thwarted by robot alternatives,” Mars tells MSNBC. “It’s just that high-quality alternatives where the robots are indistinguishable from humans will cut down the profitability of human exploitation.”

 

At a present cost of between $7-9k, I think it's far more likely that these machines will end up as luxury items rather than the sort of 'employee' your average entrepreneur would buy for his stable, particularly in places where prostitution is illegal. But I wouldn't be surprised to see this take hold in the future, especially if the economy of scale takes over, the product gets more lifelike and costs come down..

And of course, you also have to wonder what effect this would have on marriage, particularly in countries like the U.S. with laws that vastly favor women and discriminate against men like the current version of VAWA...
