Our Watcher's Council Nominations - Immigrant's Song Edition



For those unclear on the concept, the song is about an invasion...in this case, Viking 'immigrants' out to plunder Britain. Of course, those 'immigrants' had to fight their way in. These days, invaders are actually invited in and subsidized in a modern version of the Danegeld...or jirzyah if you prefer, since they're being paid to stay rather than being bribed to leave.

Forum:Will You Watch The Upcoming GOP debate? What Will You Be Looking For?



Every week on Monday morning , the Council and our invited guests weigh in at the Watcher's Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week's question: Will You Watch The Upcoming GOP debate? What Will You Be Looking For?

 The Independent Sentinel : I will watch the debate. I'm looking for a strong leader who appears to be honest. There are some issues I am not very flexible on such as illegal immigration and sanctuary cities, I want to know that the candidate values our rule of law and can bring back our self-respect. It has been a horrible 7 years.

 Maggie's Notebook: I will watch the GOP debate, knowing that we will learn little. I’ll be watching for body language and passion, in the rare event there is a good question asked. Don’t we all know what we’ll hear, and what will be asked? I’ve sent suggestions for questions to various sources, but we'll never hear them asked unless it's in a townhall-type setting - with We The People doing the asking. Here's what I'm looking for, and I'll still be looking for it when it's all over.

1) I’d like to know which candidates are committed to cleaning up the State Department, all the way to the basement. Who will send the Liberal State bureaucrats packing. Who will choose Secretaries who will demand that they control their own Departments - Energy, Justice (the whole Civil Rights Department needs to be restructured), Interior, Veteran’s Affairs, State, Education, Homeland Security –– all of them, every single one of them. They are all entrenched with far-left career bureaucrats.

2) Will you “encourage” the House to use its unique power of the purse?

3) Will you commit to never allowing your administration to say we can’t build a fence, where fences can obviously be built? Will you argue that the $2B estimate for the cost of a fence can be paid for by stopping funding of the Corporation of National Community Service for less than two years (they get $1.8B annually). Or pick other programs with a “B” behind the dollar sign. Put it toward securing the border.

4) Will you encourage your Congress to use their powers to stop Anchor-Baby birthrights?

5) Will you commit to grabbing no more land for government use, unless an issue of National Security? We don’t have the money to maintain these lands, and they belong to those with the money to purchase. It’s the American way.

6) Will you commit to campaigning against Hillary, hitting her hard on every issue, every day (or the Democrat candidate) - Keep Benghazi lies, and the video in your speeches, on your websites, in your email –– every time, every one of them? Will you inform the people of her threat to our National Security, and do it over and over, using facts.

The questions we hear will be designed to pit Republican against Republican, rather than focusing on substance. Sad. I think we’ll learn little that we don’t know, but I wouldn’t miss it.

Bookworm Room : I probably won't watch the debate. The tempo of my life is such that I seldom have the opportunity to watch things such as debates in real time. That doesn't mean, though, that I won't be paying attention.

What I'd like to see is the other Republican candidates, the ones who aren't the Donald, learn from his straightforwardness. They're all smarter than the Donald, more accomplished and, even for the weakest Republican candidates, more solid conservatives than he is. The American people need to hear them speak without the filter they invariably shelter under in deference to (or in fear of) the drive-by media, political correctness, and focus groups. I do believe that, until the true true conservatives remove their self-impose muzzles, the Donald will continue to carry the day.

This week's winning essay,Joshuapundit's Joshuapundit-The Tale Of The Swine . It's just a little fable - and a warning - I found very apropos given what we're hearing from certain people these days. Here's a slice:

Once there was a tribe of wild pigs who lived in a remote area of the woods.

As anyone who's spent time around pigs will tell you, they are by no means the most unintelligent of animals, and these pigs had learned to adapt quite well to their circumstances. They had fashioned dens and had gradually learned to piece together a tribal law that allowed them to work as a group when necessary to ensure an adequate if not over generous food supply, care for their young and defend themselves against any natural predators. In their little corner of the woods, they were pretty much the dominant species, and were reasonably content.

One day, a pig named Andy went missing. The others searched for him throughout their part of the forest, but they were unable to find him no matter where they looked. Andy's fate became a major topic of conversation among the pigs. It was totally unheard of for one of them to simply disappear like that.

The pigs didn't quite keep track of time beyond the seasons, but still by their reckoning it was some time before, to their astonishment, Andy reappeared as the leaves were turning color.

The pigs were ecstatic to see their lost tribe member returned to them..and even better, in what appeared to be rip roaring good health.

Most of the wild pigs tended to lose some weight as the weather started to turn colder and food became scarce and harder to find, but Andy was sleek, fat and obviously had been living, if you'll pardon the expression, high on the hog. His bristles and hooves were clean, his eyes shone brightly and he was as happy as a pig in - well, you know. And much to the other pig's surprise, he had a pretty red collar around his neck, something none of them had ever seen before.

"Wherever have you been Andy?" the other pigs asked. "We looked everywhere for you."

"Oh, I can't wait to tell you", said Andy. "I've discovered something wonderful."

"You know, I was chasing down some berries I smelt over by the oak trees over by our eastern border, you know the place. Well I ended up going a little past our bounds and what bad luck! I wasn't paying attention and got my left rear trotter lodged in a tree root."

"I tried and tried, but I couldn't get free and I thought I might die there. But then the most marvelous thing happened. A man heard my squealing, came through the underbrush and set me free."

Now, the pigs had heard of men before, but only in their pig legends that dated long before they had moved to their present remote home. Some pigs wondered if they even existed. And now, here was Andy telling them he'd actually seen one!

"I was still injured, so the man took me back with him to an amazing place called a Farm. I couldn't believe what I saw there. There are fields loaded with food and grain, and all kinds of different animals living there in peace and plenty. I lived in a large, warm den called a barn, with straw for my bed and the very best of food.No sleeping out of doors for this pig! And do you know what I had this morning? Apples! And corn mash! You can't believe how good it tastes compared to the berries, roots and acorns we live on here - and free, every day, without me having to go out and find it."

"The man - I call him my Dear Farmer - gave me this red collar and made me his pet. He knew I came from a tribe of wild pigs in the area somewhere, and I overheard him say to one of the other men that he was going to let me go near where he found me to see if I would be able to lead him to the other pigs. He wants us all to come live there on the Farm, can you believe it?"

Needless to say, the other pigs were astounded. And as they began discussing this on their own, various differences emerged between them on what they should do.

Breaking: Senate Dems Block Vote On Iran Deal

Senate Democrats successful filibustered a vote on the Iran atrocity today. Harry Reid managed to get 42 Democrats to block the vote.The official tally was 58-42.

“Demo­crat­ic Sen­at­ors just voted to fili­buster and block the Amer­ic­an people from even hav­ing a real vote on one of the most con­sequen­tial for­eign policy is­sues of our age,” ad­ded Sen­ate Ma­jor­ity Lead­er Mitch Mc­Con­nell after the vote as quoted by the National Journal.

McConnell, of course could have used the nuclear option ala' Harry Reid when he was majority leader to head this off, and in fact he still could. But I doubt he has the testosterone to do it, even when faced with an issue of grave national security.

“I think when [the Ir­a­ni­ans] con­tin­ue their ter­ror­ist activ­ity—their proxy war against the United States and our al­lies—you will be able to point to that and say, well, this is something that would not have happened but for the $100 bil­lion of ad­di­tion­al fund­ing that went in to fund this activ­ity,” said Sen­ate Ma­jor­ity Whip John Cornyn. “Or the lift­ing of sanc­tions which al­low the sale of 1 mil­lion bar­rels of oil a day.”

This is a day of craven, cowardly appeasement. Only 21% of the American people supported this monstrosity. While the Senators involved may pay a major price politically for their dishonorable action, it is the American people whom will ultimately pay the price in blood and treasure.

Our Weasel Of The Week!!





Yes, once again, It's time to present this week's statuette of shame, The Golden Weasel!!

Every Tuesday, the Council nominates some of the slimiest, most despicable characters in public life for some deed of evil, cowardice or corruption they’ve performed. Then we vote to single out one particular Weasel for special mention, to whom we award the statuette of shame, our special, 100% plastic Golden Weasel. This week's nominees were all particularly slimy and despicable, but the votes are in and we have our winner...the envelope please...


DNC Head, Congresswoman And Dumb Blonde Poster Girl Debbie Wassermann Schultz!

 The Noisy Room : I nominate Debbie Wasserman Schultz this week for backing the horrendous Iranian nuclear deal and weeping while she did it. Those that vote for the Iran deal are not only traitors to the American people, they are traitors to Israel. Shame on them. They will go down in history as enabling those who would slaughter other Jews. These liberal Jews vote for anything and everything that undermines America and for the literal destruction of Israel. How dare Wasserman Schultz call herself Jewish. She announced today that she would become the 16th Jewish Democrat to support Obama’s Iranian nuclear deal, which gives the Islamic terrorist nation every thing they could dream of and arms them to the teeth. She says she did this for national security. Whose, Debbie? Certainly not America’s and definitely not Israel’s. I think someone made her an offer she couldn’t refuse… one that was worth selling out her brothers and sisters. I hate to break it to her, but selling your soul damns you.

I’m not surprised over this. Disgusted and sickened, but not surprised. That ‘imperfect deal’ she keeps referring to guarantees war and death, possibly for millions. What’s worse is she knows it. No wonder Debbie couldn’t tell the difference between a Democrat and a socialist. There is none. In this case, think National Socialist. That’s right… Nazis. Even while she says this murderous pact is for national security, out of the other side of her mouth she says Democrats put politics before that same national security. Talk about a self-loathing Jew. Israel should turn their back on her. I would wager not even 27% support this monstrosity. Only the elitist Marxists do.

Actually, my friend Terresa was actually a bit generous in her estimate. According to the latest Pew poll, only 21% of the American people support the Iran deal.

Not that Blabbermouth Schultz was ever really pro Israel. She came straight out of the Obama campaign and from J Street, the anti-Israel group formed and funded by George Soros and President Obama as a shield for the president's anti-Israel obsession.

In one of her books, Ann Coulter labelled the Democrats 'the treason party.' I thought it was a bit over the top, and certainly not applicable to a decent chunk of the rank and file membership.

But as I see Democrats in congress (many whom have taken money from pro-Iran lobbying groups)saying what a flawed deal this is out of one side of their mouths and how they support it out of the other, it's obvious to me that Ms. Coulter wasn't entirely wrong at all. Especially when it comes to a lot of the party's leaders and office holders. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is just one of the herd, and in this particular case she's merely a blonde judas goat attempting to lead her fellow Americans as well as Jews to a nuclear holocaust, whether she realizes it or not.

It's time once again for the Watcher's Council's 'Weasel Of The Week' nominations, where we pick our choices to compete for the award of the famed Golden Weasel to a public figure who particularly deserves to be slimed and mocked for his or her dastardly deeds during the week. The Officials at Poland's Auschwitz Memorial

Puma By Design : I nominate the officials at the Auschwitz Memorial as Weasel of the Week.

Because of the extreme heat this summer in Poland, officials at the Auschwitz Memorial installed misting showers at the museum’s entrance but failed to recognize the fact that “The Nazis used gas chambers disguised as showers to kill millions of prisoners during WWII.”

As a result, Jewish visitors, many old enough to remember the horrors of the holocaust were distressed by the presence of the misting showers and the insensitivity of the museum’s caretakers.

How on earth did museum officials not see this coming? Did they care?

Compounding the offense is what I consider a not so sympathetic statement from a representative of the Auschwitz Memorial (excerpt below):

…Among visitors there are many people who come from countries where such high temperatures as we have this summer in Poland do not occur. Something had to be done, as we have noticed cases of faints among people and other dangerous situations. Therefore we had to do everything we could to minimise the risks connected with the heat and high temperatures. The safety and health of visitors are our priority during the period of extreme heat. Cooling air have been really helpful to visitors in this difficult situation.

And one more thing. It is really hard for us to comment on some suggested historical references since the mist sprinkles do not look like showers and the fake showers installed by Germans inside some of the gas chambers were not used to deliver gas into them. Zyklon B was dropped inside the gas chambers in a completely different way – through holes in the ceiling or airtight drops in walls….

Translation: It is all about profits and those offended (Jews) will have to deal with it. Besides when the weather gets cooler, the museum will remove the showers but in the meantime, again, deal with it.

Shame on those running the Auschwitz Memorial. How could they?


 
The Always Disgusting Senator From Nevada, Harry Reid

 JoshuaPundit : The 34 Democrat senators who decided pleasing Barack Obama by supporting his Iran appeasement is more important than America's national security are all despicable in their own way. Ironically, most of them, like Delaware's Chris Coons were on record as saying they would oppose a bad deal - and then announcing their support by saying that Obama and Kerry's Iran deal is flawed and imperfect, but they support it anyway...even though every condition they said would constitute a good deal has been tossed aside.

Such men and women are unworthy of being called Americans, let alone holding office. Their allegiance is to something else.

And now we get to Minority Leader Harry Reid, who having whipped  the votes not only to block the Senate from opposing the Iran atrocity in the face of a certain Obama veto but possibly to filibuster it and keep it from  being voted on at all takes a moment to shove the Senate Republicans' collective noses in it, with a cynical offer of a deal of his own.

Reid's offer? He'll allow the Iran deal to come to a vote in the Senate - provided GOP Majority Leader Mitch McConnell agrees to increase the number of votes needed to pass the measure! Sixty votes instead of a majority, just to stop this president from having to use a veto to shove this through. The Senate voted 98-1 to pass the Corker-Menendez bill outlining how the Senate will proceed on this matter...and now, Reid wants to change them and up the ante.Rest assured, if Harry Reid wasn't fairly sure he could collect enough votes to block passage at the higher threshold, he wouldn't be making this offer.

This, from the same man you used the nuclear option to quash senate rules on filibusters and get Barack Obama's radical appointees confirmed.

This is Weaselness ne plus ultra, from a man whose corrupt nature is a byword for perfidy.

UPDATE: Yes, Reid knew he had the 41 votes all along.

Forum:Kim Davis And Gay Marriage Licenses: Civil Disobedience Or Bigot?



Every week on Monday morning , the Council and our invited guests weigh in at the Watcher's Forum, short takes on a major issue of the day, the culture, or daily living. This week's question: Kim Davis And Gay Marriage Licenses: Civil Disobedience Or Bigot?

Rhymes With Right : Simply put, this is not an either/or question.

One can be a bigot or a racist and still engage in civil disobedience --.one can be a despicable human being and still protest against injustice. One can even be wrong about the justice or propriety of a law or policy and still properly engage in civil disobedience by violating that law and accepting one's punishment as a way of seeking to garner support for a change to that which you believe to be unjust.

And that is the key thing that Kim Davis and her supporters are missing here. Crying "civil disobedience" is not a talisman that shields you from punishment or a "get out of jail free" card. As exemplars of civil disobedience like Thoreau, Gandhi and King show us, civil disobedience requires submission to the rule of law as a means of shocking the consciences of others in order to spur change.

But in Kim Davis's case, there is another angle that should be considered. Davis is not acting as a private person here; rather, she is acting in her official capacity to deny the citizenry that which the law and the Constitution require she give them in that capacity -- a legal document granting legal recognition to their marriage. One can strongly argue against the holding in Obergefell (and i do) and still recognize the danger to liberty and the rule of law that her actions represent.

Of particular concern to me is Davis's abuse of the First Amendment to justify her malfeasance in office and defiance of a court order. She claims the right to not only refuse to issue marriage licenses herself, but to also forbid every employee of her office from issuing them. That has the effect of officially establishing her religion as the official religion of Rowan County. And while one might be tempted to cut her slack because of the relative ease with which couple could work around her decree and the troubling nature of the Obergefell decision which created this situation, one has to look at other situations. Would we accept the declaration of a county prosecutor that there will be no prosecutions of spousal rape because she believes that allowing her office to move forward with such cases would violate the Biblical principle that wives must submit to their husbands? Of course not -- the very notion is offensive to anyone with a sense of moral decency, no matter how broadly we interpret the First Amendment's religious liberty guarantee.

So let me be quite clear on this matter -- regardless of the sincerity of her faith (a matter that has no bearing here) Kim Davis belongs in jail until such time as she either agrees to a) issue marriage licenses to all legally eligible couples, b) stand aside and allow her subordinates to do so for her, or c) resigns or is removed from her position and county clerk. If this spurs a change in the national attitude towards gay marriage and results in a reversal of Obergefell, perhaps her short-lived effort to make her faith the established religion of Rowan County will have had some positive impact. Until that time, let her failed claim of privilege serve as a reminder that the rule of law requires we abide by a court order until it expires or is overturned on appeal, even if we believe it is wrong and in violation of our rights.

 The Glittering Eye: It's a thorny issue. On the one hand, since Obergefell v. Hodges homosexual marriage is the law of the land and there's some merit to the idea that if a public employee can't perform his or her job she or he should resign.

On the other hand that flies in the face of the last 70 years of labor law. Employers have an obligation to make reasonable accommodations for the religious obligations of their employees. Kentucky, specifically, has a RFRA law that extends that not only to public employees but to elected officials. I would also argue that demanding that public officials who cannot comply with some of the obligations of their job for religious reasons resign violates the "No Religious Test" clause of the U. S. constitution.

IMO the judge in this case erred in throwing the county clerk into jail. There were plenty of other remedies available. He could have ordered a recall election and then fined the county if she were retained and failed to comply. He could have thrown it back to the Kentucky legislature to place the onus on them to change the laws requiring the county clerk's signature on all marriage licenses issued by their counties.

We're now engaged in a great experiment. After a half century of relentless propaganda, a slim majority of Americans and one half plus one of the justices of the Supreme Court believe that a just and decent society demands the legality of homosexual civil marriage. To date we've seen campaigns to force people to comply with court orders that until very recently would have been considered immoral by the overwhelming preponderance of the people. Such is not the stuff of which persuasion is made. It's also contrary to the promotion of liberal values in a large, diverse country in which reasonable accommodations should be made for the religious beliefs of all members, not just members with whom you happen to agree.

 JoshuaPundit: My original feeling when I first heard about this was that as a public servant, Ms. Davis had a duty to perform that which the taxpayers had elected her to do.

After thinking it through, it's very obvious that she could and should have been offered a reasonable accommodation for her religious beliefs and would have had the full might of the Obama Justice department behind her if she wasn't a Christian and this wasn't about homosexual marriage.

The Obama 'Justice' Department actually sued an Illinois school district because a Muslim school teacher's request for three weeks leave in the middle of the school year to attend the Haj in Mecca (something that takes at most a week) in violation of her contract was denied. And they won, in spite of the fact that the Haj can be taken any time in a Muslim's life...such as after retirement, or when sufficient sick days have been accrued.

I myself have received what are called reasonable religious accommodations under existing law. I once accepted a job at a financial corporation and was told several days into it that 'Saturdays are mandatory.'

Once I explained that Saturday wasn't an option for me and had they informed me beforehand I would not have taken the job, they were forced to make an exception in my case, albeit with quite a bit of rancor,nasty cracks and ill will that never dissipated for the short period of time I remained there. There's no reason Kim Davis couldn't have gotten the same kind of accommodation (especially since she worked in government) instead of being thrown in jail, but they simply wanted to make an example of her.

Only prog Fascists are free to ignore the law in Obama's America. We're in for an interesting 14 months.

Trump Signs Pledge Not To Run As A 3rd Party Candidate

Donald Trump sat down with RNC head Reince Priebus and has signed a pledge written up by the Republican National Committee that he will not run as a third party candidate and will support the eventual nominee of the party. Every candidate is being asked to sign on to this, but I have no doubt this was aimed at Donald Trump because of the insurgent nature of his campaign:

“He’s been extremely fair,” Trump said of the Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus who met with Trump at Trump Tower in New York Thursday.

“I’ve wanted fairness. … I just wanted fairness from the Republican Party,” Trump said at a press conference following the meeting.

Trump announced:

Frankly, I felt the absolute best way to win and beat the Democrats, and very easily, I think, beat the Democrats, no matter who it will be … the best way for the Republicans to win is if I win the nomination and go directly against whoever they happen to put up. And for that reason, I have signed the pledge.

The crowd viewing the press conference cheered after Trump’s announcement.

Trump said he would not rip up the pledge at a later date.

“I’ll be totally pledging my allegiance to the Republican Party and the conservative principles for which it stands–and we will go out, and we will fight hard, and we will win,” Trump said.

This is extremely sharp of Trump on several levels.

Yes, it's true that it was necessary to enter several upcoming primaries and get on the ballot as a Republican but Trump had plenty of time for that. The real reason is more subtle.

In the beginning, Trump held off because it was a major advantage for him.Unlike the clueless blowhards at the RNC, he was able to see the tremendous anger that exists at the GOP establishment's weakness and the betrayal of the people that voted a Republican senate into office. And seeing it, Trump was able to channel it, which gave him tremendous poll ratings and support as an outsider. Some of these people actually saw Trump as a replacement for the GOP - or as one person put it, "Trump's not our takeover, he's our murder weapon."

At this point, a significant amount of that support is being clouded by thoughts of what America might be like ruled by Hillary Clinton and/or Elizabeth Warren and/or Bernie Sanders and/or Joe Biden. And how a third party run by Trump might siphon off enough votes from a GOP candidate to give the Democrats the election.

Trump sensed that too, and since he realized he wanted to be president more than he wanted to be this year's Ross Perot, he signed the pledge. It will definitely solidify his support and likely add to it as more people will see him as a serious candidate. Certainly it had that effect on me.Like the canny businessman he is, Donald Trumps milked an advantage to the maximum and discarded it just as it was becoming a disadvantage.

And there's no downside, really. If he doesn't like the results the pledge is not legally binding, so he can still do whatever he wants later if he deems it necessary.

An interesting ticket would be Trump/Cruz. Because of his age, Trump might only serve one term, which would give Cruz an opportunity to learn more about how to work successfully with others and manipulate them into supporting him, something Ronaldus Maximus was a master at and something I've always felt Cruz needed to learn more about in spite of his other stellar qualities.

Moreover, Cruz could help Trump because of his smarts and skill as an attack dog on the campaign trail and his knowledge of law and how government works as opposed to business, something Donald Trump appears to lack.

This week's winning essay by a nose,Joshuapundit's Is Obama An Anti-Semite?
was sparked by a disgustingly servile interview with the very Left leaning Jewish magazine Forward, in which he whined about people calling him an anti-Semite, especially over the language he used to characterize Jewish opponents of his Iran deal. Since the Foward wouldn't address that question (or pretty much anything else) seriously, I thought perhaps someone should. Here's a slice:

President Barack Obama had something to say about that in a servile interview with the Leftist Jewish magazine Forward:

President Obama challenged critics who suggested that he was anti-Semitic as he continues to promote his nuclear deal with Iran, ignoring Israeli leaders who are expressing concerns about it.

“There’s not a smidgen of evidence for it, other than the fact that there have been times where I’ve disagreed with a particular Israeli government’s position on a particular issue,” Obama said in an interview with Forward.com when asked how he felt about the accusation.

Of course, one shouldn't expect the Forward to do much in the way of a real interview with this president. To show how hilarious the whole thing was, after allowing President Obama to repeat his usual talking points about how wonderful the Iran deal is, they finished up with this idiocy:

Q: Thank you. One last question. One of my daughters wants to know, what’s your favorite bagel flavor?

THE PRESIDENT: I was always a big poppy seed guy.

Q: Poppy seed.

THE PRESIDENT: So the poppy seed bagels at H&H Bagels — which somebody told me they closed —

BEN RHODES: They closed.

Q: It’s closed, yes.

THE PRESIDENT: Which is shocking.

MR. RHODES: My school was a block from H&H bagels.

THE PRESIDENT: I mean, I would walk down from —

MR. RHODES: Columbia.

THE PRESIDENT: — Columbia just to get H&H bagels on Saturdays or on the weekends.

Q: And what do you like on a poppy seed?

THE PRESIDENT: Just a schmear.

Q: Just a schmear.

THE PRESIDENT: Lox and capers okay, but generally just your basic schmear.


Yes, one of those tough, hard hitting interviews.Notice how he had to be prompted on Columbia University by his director of strategic communications Ben Rhodes, who apparently sat in on this?

But let's address the question seriously, shall we? The first thing that caught my eye was the president's language about there not being a smidgen of evidence that he was anti-semitic or anti-Israel. Now where did we hear that before?

Oh, now I remember! It was back when this president told us that there wasn't a smidgen of corruption in the IRS after allegations that the IRS targeted the president's political enemies or conservative groups. Oddly enough, one of them, Z-Street is a pro-Israel organization run by a friend of mine, Lori Lowenthal Marcus, a Pennsylvania lawyer.

They won a suit against the Obama IRS last year for exactly this kind of targeting. And Z Street was by no means the only one targeted. Admittedly, we have, shall we say, a less than effective Republican leadership and caucus, so this never got pursued to its logical end. But there was obviously more than a smidgen of corruption based on what we now know and how the White House chose to stonewall things.

So, when this president talks about a smidgen of anything, what should we assume that means?

Since we can't know what's in Barack Obama's heart and he's not exactly the most truthful of men, let's examine this in another way and see if we can get a clue.

Suppose, hypothetically, a public figure is accused of racism against blacks, which he of course denies.

So you look into his background. And you find that from his earliest days, his closest associates have been people like Tom Metzger, Willis Carto, David Duke, Sam Bowers,Bill Church, Larry Payne, Stormfront's Don Black and Chloê Hardi and Bo Gritz.


Let's say that his pastor whom he described as his 'spiritual mentor' was Thomas Robb and his church for two decades was Robb's Christian Revival Center.

Let's further assume that this man was our president, that his administration includes a number of people with questionable views on Africa and on American blacks, and that his administration has policies toward African nations that appear to be hostile.

In fact, let's imagine that Black and Hardi are regular visitors to the White House and help in determining political strategy. And that this president is clever enough to have a number of self-serving blacks in his employ or in a bogus 'civil rights' organization he created as a cover for any accusations of racism.

I think many people might describe this politician as a racist, or at the very least someone with racist tendencies. After all, if you hang with those folks, there's obviously an affinity, no?

Let's examine President Barack Obama with that same criteria. The comparison isn't totally workable, since racism against blacks is socially unacceptable in much of the world, not well organized and hardly funded while anti-semitism, sometimes disguised as 'anti-Zionism' is well organized, socially chic and thriving, but let's try and see what we can do

Whoops! Joe Biden Goes Off Script



Here he is at an event in Davie, Florida today talking to DNC head Debbie Wasserman Schultz and a group of Jewish Democrats defending the odious Iran sell out..where he appears to be answering a question and says:

“Well, Joe, even if I believed you were able to stop Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, you’re going to give them a whole lot of money, Joe Boy!” Biden said with a laugh. “And they’re going to go out and do more of the bad things they’re doing now, do it more efficiently and threaten our friends in an existential way because they’ll have so much more money and capacity. Totally legitimate argument and concern.”

The rest of his answer is the usual horse manure about how the alternative is war, how America will be isolated, blah blah blah.

I'd love to ask him...then why make this deal at all if the $150 billion Iran is going to get its hands on makes them even more dangerous than they already are? Where's the benefit for America?

It's a question the Obama regime won't answer, and Slo-Joe probably will have to endure a severe tongue lashing and maybe a few strokes of the cane from his lord and master when he gets back to DC for going off the reservation like that again.

Yes, once again, It's time to present this week's statuette of shame, The Golden Weasel!!

Every Tuesday, the Council nominates some of the slimiest, most despicable characters in public life for some deed of evil, cowardice or corruption they’ve performed. Then we vote to single out one particular Weasel for special mention, to whom we award the statuette of shame, our special, 100% plastic Golden Weasel. This week's nominees were particularly slimy and despicable, but the votes are in and we have our winner...the envelope please...

 Puma By Design : My nominee for Weasel of the Week goes to Carol (Sunshine) Sullivan, an organizer of F***YoFlag, #FYF911 and #BlackLivesMatter movements.

Less than 24 hours before Bryce Williams aka Vesper Lee Flanagan II shot and killed two WBDJ journalists, Alison Parker and Adam Ward on the air Black activist Carol (Sunshine) Sullivan, an organizer of F***YoFlag on her radio blog show hosted from Texas called, “Sunshine’s F***ing Opinion Radio Show” allegedly gave members of #FYF911 or #FukYoFlag and #BlackLivesMatter a platform from which the hate/terrorist organizations called for the lynching of white people and law enforcement officers.

Two days after Parker and Ward were killed, Shannon J. Miles, a Black male pumped fifteen bullets into Sheriff’s Deputy Darren Goforth at a gas station in Houston, Texas.

The killings are reminiscent of the shootings of two NYPD officers one week after Al Sharpton and Marxists paraded through the streets of New York City chanting, “What do we want? Dead cops. When do we want it? Now.”

ALL were executions and all occurred after Marxists made the call.

Vesper Lee Flanagan stole two young innocent lives because they were Caucasians and because he felt entitled to that which he did not earn.

Black activists terrorists espousing hate and calling for the blood of “whitey” was more than enough for Flanagan’s diseased troubled mind to rationalize that killing Parker and Ward was only one way to remedy the situation.

While Sullivan and fellow activists terrorist leaders did not pull the triggers themselves, they have planted seeds of hate and violence influencing weak minds the result of which is bloodshed on the streets of America and the death of the innocent.

My biggest fear is that these terrorists are just getting warmed up.

I think it's pretty evident that they're just getting warmed up, at least when it comes to the police killings that have occurred lately. Actually, I think what amounts to a black on white race war has been going on for some time, to the despair of many Americans of all races. It's just more out in the open now, and has graduated to murdering police rather than rapes,the knock out game, and flash mobs assembled via twitter and Facebook.

What people like Carol Sullivan and others see is a sympathetic president who has never failed to comment and intervene when it comes to supposed black victims like Michael Brown and Treyvon Martin being totally silent when it comes to black on white crime and what amounts to executions of police.

That's not an accident, either. There's a reason Obama intimates are involved, Al Sharpton doing the cheerleading and agitating and George Soros funding #Black lives matter and the Ferguson rioters. The Left revels in chaos and destruction, because it is a useful tactic for establishing totalitarianism.

Our Weasel 'Sunshine' is just a well-paid foot soldier of the regime. This week's statuette of shame was carefully spray painted black, so as not to upset her racialist sympathies. Congrats, 'Sunshine',  for bringing more darkness into the world.
