NPR's Cokie Roberts : Romney's Trip to Poland Motivated By White Racism

This is hardly surprising, given that it's Mary Martha Corrinne Morrison Clayburn Boggs 'Cokie' Roberts, but this is demented even for a long time left wing ideologue posing as a 'journalist'. Check this out:

LINDA WERTHEIMER, HOST: So today is Poland. Why is he stopping in Poland. What does he hope to accomplish with that?

COKIE ROBERTS: Well, I think part of it was a desire to portray President Obama as something of a wimp, and say he's abandoned Eastern Europe. But look, you remember well the Reagan Democrats. Those ethnic white voters who had been Democrats for many years; turned out for Ronald Reagan, and have been fairly predictable Republicans since then. Now it's a smaller percentage of the population -- of the voting population -- than it used to be, but white voters are still much more Republican than any other group in the electorate. They went for McCain in 2008 by 55%. And I think that getting those ethnic voters excited is really what Romney has in mind here. It's more for the folks at home -- the descendents of the people that he will be speaking to -- in Poland.

Yes, Mitt Romney's trip to Poland wasn't motivated by wanting to confer with the leaders and speak to the people of one of our most important allies in New Europe, one that's been especially screwed over by the Obama Administration's faux 're-set' with Russia.

It's all about appealing to white racism.

This sort of bigoted extreme far left nonsense is hardly anything new for Roberts, so no surprises there.

But you have to wonder if NPR and similar outlets actually have any journalistic standards or ethics left. Andnote that Wertheimer didn't even see fit to challenge this nonsense in the least.

I wouldn't even mind this inanity so much, if it wasn't being funded by the American taxpayer.

Ethics Challenged Leftists Never Have To Say They're Sorry ; Ousted NPR Exec Goes To NBC News

http://si.wsj.net/public/resources/images/OB-MY162_0309vs_G_20110309093200.jpg

You'll remember Vivian Schiller, the former NPR the former National Public Radio president and CEO who 'resigned' over the fallout from the Juan Williams firing and an incident where two of her top fund raisers attended a lunch meeting with two conservative activists who posed as open members of a Muslim Brotherhood front group and baited the sting with an offer of a $5 million donation...that NPR essentially offered to launder for them.

Yes, that was the one where Schiller's troops were caught on camera harshly disparaging Christians, Tea Party members and Republicans and nodding agreement at remarks about Jews running the media and giggled happily when one of the faux Muslim Brotherhood members referred to NPR as 'National Palestinian Radio.'

Yes, that one.

Well guess what, she's resurfaced, and is now back in the biz, working at NBC News in the newly created position of Chief Digital Officer.

Like I said, being an ethics challenged Lefty means never having to say you're sorry...because you fellow Leftys in the dinosaur media will always have your back and help you keep your nose in the trough.

Obama: "No Sense Going After Public Broadcasting"

Absolutely breathtaking in its sheer arrogance.

President Obama, on the one hand, is criticizing the Republicans for 'partisan bickering' over the budget and calls the 2-week extensions "irresponsible".

He claims that the Democrats have met Republicans "halfway" on spending cuts and refuses to be specific, but hints he wants to see something between the Republicans' number (61 billion) and the Democrats (6 billion).

Quite a range, no? And speaking of irresponsible cuts, he wants Congress not to even consider cutting off the taxpayer stipend to the Left wing money launderers at public broadcasting!

"I think it's going to be important for us to have a conversation after we get the short-term budget done, about how do we really tackle the problem in a comprehensive way," Obama said at a press conference on Friday.

"And that means not just going after Head Start or Corporation for Public Broadcasting. That's not where the money is," he added.

"These aren't really budget items; these are political statements," Obama said. "I've said, again, directly to Speaker Boehner that we're happy to discuss any of these riders, but my general view is let's not try to sneak political agendas into a budget debate."

I dunno, Mr. President. A half a billion here, a half a billion there...soon you're talking about real money. Or as Joe Biden would say, 'a big f---in' deal'.

Let's review. We have a president who is basically defining most spending cuts as belonging in one of two categories.

He won't allow cuts in what he calls our "investments in the future" , boondoggles like high speed rail, wind power, ObamaCare or multi-billion tax breaks to union run companies like GM.

And he's against 'sneaking' a political agenda into a budget dispute. Which takes care of pretty much anything else..as if NPR isn't political.

And then, after this political posturing by Obama, he calls on others to "end the political bickering !"

That's one of the problems with people like President Obama. They think everyone else is stupid. And Obama, in between golf swings, thinks of this as 'leadership'.

If he were the CEO of a private company, he would have been pounding the pavement looking for a new job a long time ago.

New video: NPR Was Going To Accept Muslim Brotherhood Donation, Hide It From The Government

James O'Keefe just dropped the other shoe on NPR.

His new video released today shows that contrary to what they said about it previously, not only was National Public Radio going to accept that $5 million donation from the fictitious Muslim Brotherhood front group Muslim Education Action Center (MEAC) Trust, but that they were prepared to assist MEAC in making the donation anonymously to protect it from a federal government audit!

When a man posing as Ibrahim Kasaam asked, “It sounded like you were saying NPR would be able to shield us from a government audit, is that correct?” NPR’s senior director of institutional giving, Betsy Liley, responded, “I think that is the case, especially if you are anonymous. I can inquire about that.”

Kasaam made two follow-up phone calls to Liley after their lunch at the Cafe Milano.

Liley said a $5 million donation would amount to about “10 years of support.”

Kasaam follows up by asking: “The fact that NPR is not only a tax-exempt organization, but also receives direct contributions from the government — does that invite some sort of government oversight or government examination of contributions, et cetera?”

Liley answered: “They have audited our programs at times and, I think, as part of that, they can look at our audited financials. If you are concerned in any way about that, that’s one reason you might want to be an anonymous donor. And, we would certainly, if that was your interest, want to shield you from that.”

Not only that, but Liley opened another major can of worms when she mentioned more than $80 million in donations from universities to NPR.

“As I said, like this guy that I used to work with who gave – where I used to work for the university, I don’t know, $5 or $10 or $12 million, he was just entered into the database as anonymous,” Liley said. “I knew who he was and about five other people did, but there was no paperwork in any official place that identified him as that donor.”

Following the phone calls, Liley got the OK from NPR’s senior management and sent an e-mail to the man posing as Kasaam saying MEAC was cleared to make an anonymous donation of $5 million.

“NPR can list MEAC as an anonymous donor in our database, which would mean we would not disclose the organization’s name,” Liley wrote in the e-mail to the fictitious Kasaam. “We do not publish a list of gifts, so it would not be an issue there.”

How interesting..NPR was prepared to facilitate what amounts to possible money laundering, all to preserve their sleazy little Leftist fifedom. After all, that $5 mil could have come from anywhere. And talk about the influence on their news content! Who else has been giving them megabucks anonymously to slant their coverage?

O'Keefe claims he has more footage, some of it involving PBS.I can hardly wait.

Not only should these people be cut off from taxpayer funding without a dime, they should be barred from employment by any news outlet that considers itself even halfway reputable.

NPR Exec 'Resigns' From New Job At Aspen Institute

Another one bites the dust...ex-NPR fundraiser Ron Schiller, who was caught on tape by a couple of fax-jihadis nodding enthusiastically to their anti-Semitic statements and dissing Conservatives has 'resigned' from his new job at the Aspen Institute. Here's their statement on the matter:

Ron Schiller has informed us that, in light of the controversy surrounding his recent statements, he does not feel that it’s in the best interests of the Aspen Institute for him to come work here.

I'll just bet it wasn't.

NPR CEO Resigns

http://si.wsj.net/public/resources/images/OB-MY162_0309vs_G_20110309093200.jpg

Well, well.

Vivian Schiller, CEO of NPR 'resigned' today in the wake of a scandal that saw a hidden camera recording the remarks of two of her top fund raisers in a lunch meeting with two conservative activists who posed as open members of a Muslim Brotherhood front group that had baited the trap with an offer of a $5 million donation.

Aside from harshly disparaging Christians, Tea Party members and Republicans, the two fundraisers nodded agreement at remarks about Jews running the media and giggled happily when one of the faux Muslim Brotherhood members referred to NPR as 'National Palestinian Radio.'

Schiller, of course, didn't actually resign. According to a tweet by NPR media correspondent David Folkenflik Schiller was forced out when the NPR board demanded her resignation.

It will be interesting to see if NPR gets another penny of government funding.

Even more interesting is the notion that NPR avidly pursued funding from a racist group who's website touted their aim to enforce sharia world wide. Who else has NPR accepted money from, I wonder?

I have a feeling we're going to find out.

James O'Keefe, who masterminded the sting claims he targeted NPR because of the Juan Williams firing, according to CNN.

As usual, his instincts were right on the money.

( hat tip memeorandum)
